#bloodborne#valtr master of the league#bloodborne valtr#call me a one trick pony#cause I’m not gonna stop drawing deranged men backlit by a cruel moon#I thought valtr was this posh pseudo noble guy#a silly not fit for hunting weakling that could only muster a bucket for armor#then I actually talked to him#immediate top 3 bloodborne characters#he’s so responsible freak coded to me#as soon as he started talking about vermin#I was nodding at my screen and saying#hell yeah speak your truth buddy#‘join my covenant’ ‘absolutely’#he’s like if Varre wasn’t part of the pvp faction#but still was mildly threatening under the veneer of a rather nonserious outfit#I wanted to try out a more muted color scheme#gave up cause I couldn’t find out how#then check the brightness values#and discovered a color layer at 43% filled with black gives the exact result I was looking for

#rays random ramblings#it's also why I like to keep his eyes the same color as his hat (one of the reasons)#his hair- tunic- and cap make up a triadic color scheme- a triangle on the color wheel#the pink lock of hair falls outside of that and so it draws attention#it's clever design tied into storytelling because it hints at his bunny transformation in the comic!#when his eyes are a saturated bright purple it pulls attention away from his hair and further meddles with the existing color scheme#it's distracting imo. if you want to tie it in story-wise that Leg is related to royalty then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#but I still think his design is stronger without it. blue or red or brown eyes for me#(Unless! I'll draw him with purple eyes for the necromancy au because I think it works with the colors there. esp when using teal/green#for his bandages and a kinda sickly undertone)#*holds up my ocs Dylan and Nox* Marigold Teal and a deep Red Adjacent colors babyyyy
