Q. What is Moon Hyuna's ideal type?

Moon Hyuna likes younger people who have a certain kind of cute and adorable* charm. Honestly, Han Yoojin was also quite to her taste in terms of personality and looks, but he didn't quite fit the bill due to his slight physique and the stronger feeling of him being like a younger sibling.

Among the other characters around them, Han Yoohyun is younger but not cute, Sung Hyunje is neither younger nor cute, and Song Taewon isn't younger but he's quite cute, so Moon Hyuna herself thinks, "If I really had to pick one, it would probably be Song Taewon?" Among the S-ranks revealed so far, Sigma is probably the closest to her ideal type.

There was a time when Kang Soyoung, after finding out about Moon Hyuna's tastes, said, "Unni, I'll have to reject anyone who's not a dragon! So don't fall for me!" and then got smacked on the back for it.

Note: 귀엽다 is the word being translated as cute and adorable.

Q. 문현아 이상형은 뭔가요?

Hello Everyone! At the end of this month Sctir Pride Week is being held.

His thumb quickly swiped on his phone screen, rejecting and selecting based on pure whim. Han Yoojin thought it would be funny to catfish some people online to pass the time. He hasn’t been getting any scam calls anymore, and when he does get one his dutiful children won’t let him play with them. So he’s been stuck in his bed, resting. The boredom was gnawing at him. 

Of course he wasn’t doing this as himself. Han Yoojin chose the best looking famous person he knows and used his visage to swipe through this dating app. The golden paragon himself, Sung Hyunje. A smirk crossed Han Yoojin’s face, what else was his Skill good for? 

To not let this trace back to himself so easily he even made sure to use photos from the internet, cropping them in different ways. As well as an interesting bio full of information from Sung Hyunje’s wiki page. Occasionally he’d get a response but a dick pic wasn’t really a real response. The other half would be people questioning him or going “haha funny.” He’d earnestly talk to both but they’d quickly stop talking to him. 

Still this was more entertaining than just doing nothing all day. 

Han Yoojin grinned when he found another Sung Hyunje, this time the profile calling himself Seseong Guild Leader. He softly laughed as he matched with his fellow catfisher. They easily bantered around with each other, Han Yoojin was having a great time. 

Seseong Guild Leader: Hello fellow Sung Hyunje how do you do? 

Sung Hyunje: Perfectly well my dear doppelgänger. How does it feel being a fake? ^^

Seseong Guild Leader: Oh my, quite an aggressive start, I believe I would be more courteous.

Seseong Guild Leader: Especially to someone as good looking as me. ^^

Sung Hyunje: My apologies, you are quite handsome, not as good looking as me of course. 

Sung Hyunje: I’d say a 9/10 while I am of course a perfect 11. ^^

Seseong Guild Leader: How interesting, thank you for the compliment dear fellow Sung Hyunje. 

Sung Hyunje: I wouldn’t say it was a compliment but I could never insult a face so close to mine. ^^

Seseong Guild Leader: I see. I do feel like must say that i don’t use ^^ quite as often as you are. 

Sung Hyunje: I use them the right amount as the real Sung Hyunje.

Seseong Guild Leader: I have just been proven wrong. ^^ You must be the real one. 

Seseong Guild Leader: Sadly I must cut our wonderful conversation off and pause our blossoming friendship. 

Seseong Guild Leader: I’ll be in a dungeon for the next few hours and will return most hastily. 

Sung Hyunje: You could just say you have to go to your normal job, as I, the real Sung Hyunje, must skip my duty to go into the dungeon today to play around. ^^

Seseong Guild Leader: Haha, yes, I’m going to my normal job now. ^^

Sung Hyunje: Have fun earning your mediocre salary.  ^^

Han Yoojin looked at the time, his eyes widening, it’s been a couple of hours. Turning off his phone and setting it down he called for Yoohyun to enter the room. His younger brother quickly entered and walked up to him, a small gentle smile appearing on his face.

Han Yoohyun was happy to see his hyung resting in bed like he was told. “Are you hungry hyung? It’s almost dinner time.”

Han Yoojin gratefully looked at his cute brother. “Yes, I think it’s time for me to eat.” His stomach growled at that moment, seeming to be perfectly timed. He wasn’t going to be talking about what he was doing today, he doesn’t want his last form of entertainment to be taken away. 

After dinner Han Yoojin checked the messages his phone. Nothing yet so he set it back down to go get ready for bed. Afterwards he checked it one more time and was surprised to find a new message from the Seseong Guild Leader catfish.

A quick smirk flashes on Han Yoojin’s face as he responds. 

Sung Hyunje: Goodnight fake Sung Hyunje. May your dreams be as golden as my hair. ^^

The next few days Han Yoojin posing as Sung Hyunje and his imposter catfish friend kept talking. He was truly enjoying the banter between them. They even got up to some silly roleplay occasionally. Han Yoojin rating the fellow imposter’s service poorly. 

He could feel himself getting more attached to this fake Sung Hyunje. Since it was through messages as well, they could talk practically at any moment, except for when Han Yoojin was in a dungeon or the other was at (presumably) their job. 

Soon the days turned into weeks, they kept talking. Han Yoojin kept enjoying the company more and more. Before he knew it, a month had flown by. Their friendship fully bloomed, though they talked about themselves, there was still the lingering battle of dominance. Proving to the other that they were the real Sung Hyunje. Han Yoojin thinks he’s winning though. 

Seseong Guild Leader was making quite a strong case, sadly, with the photos that he’d share. Han Yoojin just assumed that the other one worked at Seseong. Which made him mildly excited, since he was going to visit soon. For a business deal, of course. And not to search for the person he may or may not have a crush on at this point in time.

A small smile showed on his face as he and Han Yoohyun got into the expensive car. Han Yoojin’s eyes almost glued to the phone. Messages flying between the two. 

Seseong Guild Leader: Hello dear Real Sung Hyunje, are you at your totally real and exciting job? ^^

Sung Hyunje: I’ve actually been out of the office and will be returning shortly. ^^

Sung Hyunje: Since I was out raiding a dungeon in the last week. ^^

Sung Hyunje: Someone as rich and beautiful as me has to take self care breaks after all. ^^

Seseong Guild Leader: How wonderful to know you still think about your magnificent looks. 

Sung Hyunje: Well of course! As the real one I must take care of my perfect visage. ^^

Seseong Guild Leader: I must agree, as the real Sung Hyunje you do have the perfect visage. Able to inspire the masses. ^^

Sung Hyunje: I am brighter than the sun and blind just as many people. 

Seseong Guild Leader: Oh dear, we blind people? How blessed are they for us to be the last thing they see?

Sung Hyunje: Very blessed indeed. 

Sung Hyunje: I’ll have to cut off our conversation here Seseong Guild Leader. I’m arriving to my stop soon. 

Han Yoojin looked over at his brother. Han Yoohyun sat next to him, looking down at his phone. His little brother’s face marred by confusion. 

“Hyung why have you been spending so much time talking to that guy online?” 

A simple question, but Han Yoojin felt himself blush, it was from a dating app after all.

“It’s not actually the Seseong Guild Leader. It’s just someone pretending to be him.” Shame twisted his face as he painfully answered. 

“Still, why have you been paying so much attention to that and not me?” Han Yoohyun pouts. 

Han Yoojin snaps his eyes open and looks over at his brother. The rest of the car ride to the Seseong Guild building was spent pampering his little brother. 

The two walked up to the grand entrance, planning to talk about dungeon rights.

Han Yoojin just glances at the message notification. Not answering. Up in Sumg Hyunje-ssi’s office, Han Yoojin was face to face with the man he’s been impersonating for the last month. It was a little awkward. Maybe Han Yoojin shouldn’t have kept up his Sung Hyunje-ssi roleplay for so long. 

Just as Han Yoojin was debating the ethics of such things, feeling mildly guilty, Sung Hyunje walked up to him a sunny expression. His deep and smooth, velvety, voice found itself near Han Yoojin’s ear. 

“Having fun my dear fellow Sung Hyunje?” The sunny expression turning brighter, and smug. 

Han Yoojin was shaken down to his very core. -LOVE OF MY LIFE SESEONG GUILD LEADER IS THE SESEONG GUILD LEADER?!?!-

Q. Regarding Han Yoojin's ideal type, is there nothing specific apart from being 2m tall?

Because of the things he lacked in his childhood, Han Yoojin prefers older people whom he can rely on. (His ideal type) being tall and well-built is also one aspect of that.

He has a desire to be protected, but because he has children to take care of, including his younger sibling, he tends to suppress and distance himself from that desire, because of the idea that he's the one who must be the guardian / protector himself.

If he ends up going out with the wrong older person, there is a high chance that he would get manipulated and taken advantage of and end up giving up everything for them out of devotion*.

Still, at least his standards for older people and perfect adults are excessively high, so he's not easily swayed unless someone is truly outstanding. In the story, Marissa seems like she'd be the most dangerous one for him ^^

On the other hand, with younger people, he tries to become the perfect adult and protector for them, so while it's the opposite of his ideal type, dating someone younger would actually be safer. But of course, in the story, being in romantic relationship itself would be difficult.

Note: * The idiom used to describe Han Yoojin if he ends up dating the wrong person is "간도 쓸개도 다 내주다". It literally translates to "to give away both liver and gallbladder." and describes "a state of extreme generosity, self-sacrifice, or complete surrender. It implies giving everything one has, even vital organs, for another person or cause, to the point of potentially harming oneself." An even more extreme version of "to give someone the shirt off one's back" with additional implications of bending over backwards and being a doormat for them.

Q. 한유진의 이상형은 키 2m말고는 딱히 없나요?

└ 근서 22.07.03 21:07 | 한유진은 어릴 적의 결핍으로 인해 의지되는 연상을 선호합니다. 큰 키와 덩치도 그 일환입니다. 보호 받고 싶어 하는 욕구가 있지만 동생��� 비롯한 아이들이 있어 자신이 보호자가 되어야 한다는 생각에 그 욕구를 억누르고 멀리하는 편이에요.

연상과 잘못 사귀게 된다면 간도 쓸개도 다 내준 채 휘둘리고 이용당하게 될 확률도 높습니다. 그나마 연상, 완벽한 어른에 대한 기대치가 과하게 높아서 웬만큼 잘난 사람이 아니고선 쉽게 흔들리지 않습니다. 작중에서는 마리사가 제일 위험할 것 같네요^^

반면에 연하 상대로는 자신이 완벽한 어른이자 보호자가 되어주려 하기 때문에 이상형과는 반대되지만 차라리 연하와 사귀는 편이 안전할 겁니다. 물론 작중에서는 연애 자체가 힘든 상황이지만요.

Q. Have you thought about the voice pitch of the characters? Do you have an actual voice actor in mind for Seok Simyeong-ssi?

The normal voice pitches in order, with highest ones first and getting lower as one goes down the list, are -

I don't know voice actors well, so I have never thought about it. Seok Simyeong has a similar tone to Seong Hyunje.

Note: The original korean is "목소리 톤" (moksori ton) which is a direct loan word from the English "tone" and getting translated as "voice tone". However the meaning is more similar to what we would call "voice pitch" in this context, in my opinion.

Q. Speaking of Seok Simyeong-ssi's voice, what kind of impression does it give? How good is it?

Fundamentally, his voice is a strong yet gentle adult male voice that inspires trust. In addition to this, with the added skill effect, it becomes even more persuasive, and also gives an impression a bit like that of a competent counsellor. However, the skill effect does not apply to high-grade hunters.^^

Note: I guess Seok Simyeong's voice got called out specifically due to Yoojin mentioning it as a very good voice.

Q. 등장인물들 목소리 톤 생각해보신 게 있나요? 석시명 씨는 실제 성우를 생각해두신 게 있나요?

Q. I'm curious about the characters' ideal types.

Han Yoojin's ideal type was answered in the previous comment.

Han Yoohyun has absolutely no personal interest in anyone outside of Han Yoojin, so his ideal type, whatever that means for him, is also Han Yoojin. ^^

For Park Yerim, at present, her ideal type in the sense of role models and wanting to be like them, is probably either Han Yoohyun, Moon Hyuna, or Sung Hyunje. Due to the the influence of Han Yoojin and Sung Hyunje, Song Taewon is thought of as someone to be taken care of*.

Note: * I spent an actual full hour on just that last sentence and I am still not sure. Literally, the sentence is about Song Taewon[the subject] thinking of [a singular someone] as one to be taken care of. But Song Taewon's part of the answer comes after a couple of paragraphs! Given its placement in the answer, the sentence most likely has to still be referring to Yerim's perspective on various characters. So this feels like the most likely meaning? And it's a fascinating perspective that IMO is kind of supported by the Chatterbox party arc. But I would love other people's opinions on this.

Sung Hyunje's is Sung Hyunje. While they can't be considered at the level of his 'ideal types', but still to the level of being someone who has caught his eye, it would be Han Yoojin and Song Taewon.

Moon Hyuna also tries to focus on her own self rather than on others, but she tends to like cute types that she thinks have a completely different vibe from her.

Song Taewon's (ideal type), in a complicated way, is Sung Hyunje. By the end of the story, as expected, in a similarly complicated and not-easily-understood-way, it also includes Han Yoojin.

Yoo Myungwoo doesn't have any particular interest in going out of his way to look at/seek others. Anyone who naturally catches his eyes is enough to meet his standards.

As for Riette, she thinks that she herself is the best, but the one who is the most cute and pretty is Noah. And Noah was always focused on / looking up to his older sister. But by the end of the novel, his perspective will become broader.

Q. 인물들의 이상형이 궁금해요.

Q. What kind of games did Han brothers usually play when they were young? Considering Yoohyun's characteristics, it doesn't seem like he would have socialized and played with others, and it felt like Yoojin was always taking care of him. In the story, there's a mention that "since there were only two of them, so they couldn't play tag, but they did play hide-and-seek". I'm curious about what other games they played other than that!

When they were young, their guardians didn't take them around, and they spent a lot of time at home, so they couldn't play many active games other than hide-and-seek.

Mostly, they played with Han Yoojin's old toys, or Han Yoojin would often read aloud (to Yoohyun) from books. After Han Yoohyun grew up a bit, they would often go to the playground and play.

Q. 어린 한형제는 주로 어떤 놀이를 했었나요? 유현이 특성 상 남들과 어울려서 놀았을 것 같진 않고 항상 유진이가 챙겨줬을 것 같아서요. ��� 중에서 >둘 뿐이라 술래잡기는 못 했지만 숨바꼭질은 했다<는 언급이 있었는데 이 외에도 어떤 놀이들을 했었는지 궁금합니다!

Q. What kind of music do Yoojin and the S-ranks usually listen to? What do they usually do to relax or heal?

There isn't any music that Han Yoojin particularly seeks out to listen to, but he’s familiar with popular songs that are commonly heard. Han Yoohyun, as always, has no interest in anything except his older brother. Park Yerim mainly listens to the latest songs.

Han Yoojin relaxes in simple ways, like watching dramas or movies, or eating delicious food. If the kids are all doing well without any problems, that peaceful time itself might be called healing for him.

For Han Yoohyun, any time spent with his brother, just the two of them, can be called healing time, no matter what they’re doing.

Park Yerim, after her awakening, enjoys floating high up in the sky. At this point in time, with her strengthened elemental powers, she also feels refreshed by surfing the waves in ocean- or water-related dungeons.

Before his regression, Sung Hyunje used to mess with and provoke Song Taewon when he needed something to lift his mood. After Song Taewon’s death, he was bored even in scenic, fresh-air places. After regression, in addition to Song Taewon, Han Yoojin has also become a healing target, making it a list of two.

Moon Hyuna plays tennis on a court specially built from dungeon byproducts. Still, she can’t hit as hard as she used to, so she’s looking for a new hobby. She relieves her leftover stress by exploring good restaurants.

Song Taewon is the type who doesn’t tend to allow himself to rest. At least, during that short moment of pressing the vending machine button, the drink coming out into the cup, holding the warm cup, and drinking it, he is usually able to zone out without any thoughts. After bringing Song-ie home, he refreshes himself by hugging or petting Song-ie.

After becoming a dragon-kind, Noah likes to sit in high places and occasionally take flight. Sitting on top of the Dodam Building serves for both surveillance but also as a hobby. His sister is a stronger dragon-kind but since she has no wings and can’t easily chase him then, he has come to love flying even more.

Riette usually lives doing whatever she wants anyway, so she doesn’t have any particular hobby for healing — but if she had to pick one, she likes hugging, stroking, or kissing her younger brother.

Q. 유진이와 S급들이 즐겨듣는 음악이 뭔가요? 힐링할 때 주로 뭘 하나요?

└ 근서 22.07.10 19:54 | 한유진은 특별히 찾아 듣는 음악은 없으며 많이 들리는 유행가 정도를 귀에 익어 합니다. 한유현은 언제나 그렇듯 형 외에는 관심이 없으며 박예림은 최신곡 위주로 듣습니다.

한유진은 무난하게 드라마나 영화를 본다거나 맛있는 것을 먹습니다. 별다른 문제없이 애들이 다 잘 있는 평화로운 시간이라면 그 자체로 힐링이라고 할까요. 한유현은 형과 단 둘만 있는 시간이면 뭘 하든 힐링 타임이라 할 수 있습니다^^ 박예림은 각성 후에는 하늘 높이 떠 있는 것을 기분 좋아 합니다. 속성력이 강해진 현재 시점에서는 바다나 물 관련 던전에 들어가 파도타기를 하면 속이 시원해 져요.

성현제는 회귀 전에는 기분 전환이 필요 할 때 송태원을 건드렸습니다. 송태원 사망 후에는 경치 좋고 공기 좋은 동네에서도 지루해하고 있었죠. 회귀 후에는 송태원에 더해 한유진까지 힐링 대상이 둘이 되었습니다. 문현아는 던전 부산물로 특별히 만든 테니스장에서 공을 칩니다. 그래도 예전처럼 힘껏 칠 수가 없어 새로운 취미를 찾는 중이에요. 남은 스트레스는 맛집 탐방으로 풉니다. 송태원은 스스로 쉬게 두려 하질 않는 편입니다. 그나마 자판기 버튼을 누르고 컵과 음료가 나오고 따뜻한 컵을 쥐고 마시는 짧은 순간 동안에는 아무 생각 없이 멍 때리곤 합니다. 송이를 데리고 온 후에는 송이를 안거나 쓰다듬으며 기분 전환을 합니다.

노아는 용종이 된 이후 높은 곳에 올라가 앉아 있다가 이따금 날아오르는 것을 좋아합니다. 도담 빌딩 꼭대기에 종종 앉아 있던 것도 감시 목적과 동시에 취미라서예요. 누나가 자신보다 더 강한 용종이지만 날개가 없어 쫓아오�� 힘들다는 점에서 더더욱 비행을 좋아하게 되었습니다. 리에트와의 관계가 바뀌어간 시점에서는 조금 달라질 수도 있습니다. 리에트는 평소에도 하고 싶은 거 다 하고 살기에 힐링 취미가 딱히 없습니다만 굳이 하나를 꼽자면 동생을 끌어안고 쓰다듬거나 뽀뽀하는 걸 좋아합니다.

Q. Did Sung Hyunje break his own finger intentionally while fighting Song Taewon?

Sung Hyunje generally just pretends to make mistakes. However, when dealing with Song Taewon or Han Yoojin, he acts impulsively and there are some instances where he genuinely make mistakes. However, in this case, there was a certain degree of intentionality behind the finger injury. Of course, Song Taewon doesn't know this.

Q. How did Sung Hyunje lose his arm and eye before regression? I thought that if Song Taewon's death and Crescent Moon breaking the contract between Sung Hyunje and Diarma happened at the same time, maybe he was affected by Crescent Moon or the contract breaking inside that dungeon. But the Sung Hyunje we saw in Han Yoojin's memories, right after he came out of the dungeon, had both his arm and eye perfectly fine, and Sung Hyunje in the nightmare dungeon also only had a missing eye... I'm curious what happened.

The breaking of the contract with Diarma happened after Song Taewon's death. Originally, Crescent Moon's contract took precedence, and because of Sung Hyunje's existence being piled up in layers, even if the contract with Diarma was broken, he would only temporarily lose his eye and arm, and recovery would be possible. However, at that time, his strained relationship with Crescent Moon plus the influence of having accepted the lunar eclipse both contributed to that state being maintained.

Q. 성현제는 회귀 전에 어떻게 팔과 눈을 잃었나요? 송태원의 사망과 초승달이 성현제-디아르마 간 계약을 끊은 게 같은 시점에 일어난 일이라면 그 던전 안에서 초승달 혹은 계약 파기의 영향을 받았던 건가 싶었는데, 한유진의 기억 속에서 본 던전에서 나온 직후의 성현제는 팔과 눈이 모두 멀쩡했고 악몽던전의 성현제는 또 눈만 없었어서.. 어떻게 된 일이었는지 궁금합니다.

성현제는 대체로 실수인 척을 할 뿐입니다. 송태원이나 한유진 상대로는 즉흥적으로 일을 치다가 정말로 실수하는 경우가 가끔 있긴 하지만 손가락 부상에는 의도가 어느 정도 들어 가 있었습니다. 물론 송태원은 모릅니다.

디아르마와의 계약 파기는 송태원이 사망한 이후입니다. 원래는 초승달의 계약이 우선이며 겹겹이 쌓인 성현제의 존재가 있기에 디아르마와의 계약을 파기해도 눈과 팔을 일시적으로 잃을 뿐 회복은 가능합니다. 하지만 당시 초승달과 틀어 진 상태+월식을 받아들인 영향도 더해져 그런 상태가
