“please baby?” His voice was pure sex and you knew you couldn’t resist him, you loved him and the idea of letting him do this to you made your heart pound. The sweet pout on his face when he begged you to let him cum inside you was almost enough to make you say yes- almost. You watched him reach for the condom that you had placed onto his throbbing length, just itching to take it off.
“On one condition,” you started then paused to make the anticipation around you two thicker, you could practically see the desperation seeping out of his pores. A sinister grin spreads across your face as you say, “you have to lick it out when you’re done” his eyes widened in surprise but his grin matched yours quickly. “Deal.”
He immediately pulls the condom off of his cock and lines himself up with your dripping entrance, teasing it with the tip and lets out a needy groan. He slowly pushes past your entrance, working himself in and out inch by agonizing inch, your back arched off the soft sheets as he bottoms out inside of you. When he feels you’ve acclimated to his size he begins to thrust faster, both of your pleasured sounds fill up the spacious bedroom- anyone walking by would be envious of what’s taking place behind your bedroom door.
After your second orgasm you could tell he was getting close, his cock twitched against your walls and his thrusts became sloppy, “c-can’t wait to breed this little pussy” he grunts as his head falls back, his hips twitch as he releases inside of you. He pants hard as he slowly pulls out of you, the feeling of emptiness makes you whimper but when you feel his cum slowly drip down to your ass another wave of excitement hits you. You look up at the hot disheveled man who just gave you one of his best fucks to date, you giggle softly as you say “your turn now.”
Without hesitation he drops his head down to your pussy and gives it a slow long lick, you moan as you look down at him and see the white coating his tongue. His eyes meet yours as he swallows his own load, you’ve never seen something so hot before, you could probably cum off the sight alone. He doesn’t back down, he goes back for more and brings you to your third orgasm of the night.

is One Chicago fandom still alive? I've been rewatching PD and Fire and been itching to write for these characters, but I'm unsure if there'll be anyone reading..

Safe In Their Care
Summary: While on shift at the firehouse, a severe migraine hits you hard—accompanied by the dreaded aura and vomiting. Matt and Kelly know exactly how to help, offering support and reassurance when you need it most. Though you insist you’re fine, they refuse to let you push through the pain alone, guiding you through the worst of it and making sure you rest.
Warnings: mentions of vomiting, nausea, needles and injections
It started as a dull throb behind your eyes, a familiar feeling that you tried to ignore. You had learned to push through migraines on shift before—after all, being at the firehouse was no place to show weakness. But today, the pain crept in faster than usual, quickly escalating into something unbearable.
The flashing lights and the sounds of the firehouse faded into the background as your vision started to distort. It was a warning sign that you knew all too well: the aura. Your hands shook as you tried to keep your composure, but it was becoming increasingly difficult. Each throb in your skull felt like an electric pulse, and the nausea was a relentless wave that threatened to overwhelm you.
You staggered to the back of the station, hoping to escape to a quieter area. But as you walked, the world around you spun—spinning faster than you could control. Panic crept in as you fought to steady yourself, but it was a losing battle. You could feel the sweat on your skin, the tightness in your chest. Then came the dreaded sensation of vomiting—your stomach turning in knots before you finally doubled over.
Tumblr media
“Y/N!” The voice that broke through the haze was Kelly’s, followed by the sound of Matt’s heavy boots pounding toward you.
You managed to look up just as they reached you, concern written across both of their faces. Kelly was the first to reach you, gently guiding you into a chair while Matt held your shoulders steady, trying to keep you from collapsing under the weight of the pain.
“Hey, hey,” Kelly said softly, his hand warm and steady on your back. “Breathe. We’ve got you.”
You blinked up at him, the world still swaying and your vision a blur, but you didn’t want to show how bad it was. “I’m fine, Kelly. It’ll pass. I just need a minute.”
Tumblr media
Matt crouched down in front of you, his hands on your knees. He was more than familiar with migraines—he knew how they could escalate in an instant, how they could leave you feeling completely helpless. “Y/N,” Matt said gently, his voice firm yet comforting, “I know it’s tough, but we’re not letting you push through this alone. It’s not worth it.”
You shook your head, trying to argue, but the words fell short. The aura was still making everything feel out of focus, and the nausea continued to roll in waves. Your stomach churned with each passing second, and the dizziness made it impossible to think clearly. You took a deep breath, still unwilling to admit just how bad it had gotten.
Tumblr media
Matt didn’t push back. He knew you hated when things got out of control, but he also knew the signs. He looked at Kelly, and the two of them exchanged a silent understanding. Kelly nodded, then turned back to you.
“Y/N, you need to take your sumatriptan,” Kelly said, his tone calm but insistent. “It’ll help. We’ll make it as easy as possible for you, but you have to take it now.”
You looked at the small injection in Matt’s hand, the familiar sting of the needle already making your body tense. You hated the idea of taking it, the vulnerability it made you feel, but deep down, you knew it was the only thing that would give you any relief. You gave a reluctant sigh, not wanting to admit how bad the pain really was.
“Fine,” you muttered, holding out your arm, not meeting either of their eyes. “Just… just get it over with.”
Tumblr media
Matt’s expression softened as he prepared the needle, then gently administered it into your arm. The sting was sharp, but it was over quickly. He didn’t say anything at first—he just sat back and rubbed your shoulder, letting you adjust to the sudden wave of warmth that came with the medication.
“Thank you,” you whispered, your voice strained and hoarse from the vomiting. You hated that you needed the help, but it was a relief to know that Matt and Kelly were there, that they wouldn’t let you fall apart alone.
“Of course, Bug,” Kelly said, his voice soothing as he ran a hand through your hair. “We’re here. You just need to rest. It’s okay to take a break.”
Tumblr media
Matt stood up slowly and gently helped you to your feet, his hand never leaving your back. “You’re not going back to work, Y/N. Not while you’re like this. Let’s get you to my office so you can rest.”
You tried to protest, tried to tell them you were fine, but your body wasn’t listening. The medication was kicking in, but it hadn’t fully taken hold yet, and the pain was still strong. Kelly and Matt didn’t give you the chance to argue. They guided you to Matt’s office, a quiet, dimly lit space away from the chaos of the firehouse. Kelly helped you settle into the worn-out couch, his touch gentle as he tucked a blanket around you.
“You’re going to rest, okay?” Matt said, sitting beside you. His eyes were soft with concern. “I’m going to stay right here with you. You don’t have to push through this on your own.”
You closed your eyes, trying to block out the world. “I’m fine,” you muttered again, but the words were weak, and you knew they weren’t true. You could feel the exhaustion creeping in, the relief slowly beginning to take hold.
Kelly smiled, his voice warm as he gently rubbed your back. “We know. Just close your eyes. We’ve got it from here.”
Matt pulled up a chair beside the couch, never taking his eyes off you, staying vigilant but calm as he kept a hand on your arm. The minutes passed slowly, but gradually, the world started to return to its usual clarity. The sharp pain in your skull began to dull, replaced by a softer ache. The nausea, too, began to subside.
Tumblr media
“Better?” Matt asked quietly after some time, his voice full of that unspoken care you had come to rely on.
You nodded, your body feeling lighter, the worst of the migraine now behind you. “Yeah,” you whispered. “Much better.”
Kelly’s hand stayed resting on your shoulder, his touch still warm and comforting. “You just needed a little time, Bug. You don’t have to go through this alone.”
Matt smiled softly, his gaze steady on you. “You’re strong, but it’s okay to lean on us when it gets tough. We’ll always be here.”
As the pain receded and your body began to relax, you allowed yourself to sink into the softness of the couch, comforted by the presence of Matt and Kelly. The firehouse might be busy, chaotic, and loud, but in this small, quiet space, you knew you were safe. You weren’t alone. And for once, that was enough.
Tumblr media
Guys I’m back kinda, I thought I’d share this - since I haven’t been all that active I’ve been back at work. Only a month to go! But I hope you all enjoy this and thank you for all of the continuous love on my other Chicago fire fics! 🫶🏻

Hey hun! Can you do a halstead sister? She goes to 51 after going to classes (college) or maybe a friends. I go into SVT( basically really high heart rate) and she has a really bad episode at the firehouse and gets rushed to med. maybe Connor makes a. Appearance
Skip a beat- Halstead!sister
To say that the day had been rough was an understatement. It was finals week since the fall term was ending. Christmas was right around the corner, so on top of your exams and papers, you were making presents for Jay, Will, and a few of your friends from the 21st, 51, and med. You’d often hang at 51 after classes if you were too tired to walk home. Jay and Will both agreed that you shouldn’t drive with your regular episodes of SVT, so you usually had to wait for Jay, Will, Matt, or Kelly to take you home if you ended up at 51. Today was one of those days.
When you walked into 51, Kelly immediately stood up from the squad table, abandoning the tools he was cleaning. The rest of squad was at the table, but they simply waved. Your “uncle” came to pull you into a tight hug.
“Hey kiddo.” Kelly said, smiling brightly as he looked you over. “I’ve been expecting you! Your watch kept alerting us to your heart rate today. What’s going on?” Kelly asked, tucking you under his arm as he steered you into the common area of 51.
“Finals.” Was all you mumbled, leaning into Kelly’s strong grip. You soaked up all the heat you could get from him, needing the physical contact and comfort of his warmth after the day you had.
Kelly hummed as Mouch piped up from the couch. “I don’t miss those days!” He said, shaking his head.
“You probably don’t remember anything you learned from that long ago, grandpa.” Gallo joked from the kitchen, pointing the spatula right at Mouch. Gallo wiggled his eyebrows and smiled widely as Mouch turned his attention to the kitchen.
“You keep it up Gallo. Don’t forget who my wife is, let alone who one of my best friends is.” Mouch said, threatening him with the wrath of Trudy and Boden.
Gallo blanched, but tried to play it off like he didn’t care. He shrugged and looked at the pan in front of him, flipping the grilled cheese he was making before looking back at you and Kelly. “Matt’s in his office.” He said, smiling at you before returning to his cooking.
You looked around and waved at everyone as you walked past with Kelly. Sylvie and Violet were in the bunks, having gotten tired of the antics from truck and engine. They both popped up to pull you into a hug as you stepped into the bunk room with Kelly.
“Hey girl!” Sylvie exclaimed as she pulled you into a hug. “It’s been a while!”
Violet got to you next and smiled brightly as you both pulled away. “Yeah! What’s new?” She asked, looking you over as she noticed how pale you were and how much you were leaning into whoever was holding you.
“Finals and Christmas stuff. Gotta love the holidays.” You said, shrugging your shoulders lightly and gently pulling on Kelly. “Uncle Kel, can I go lay down in Matty’s office for a bit?” You whispered, one hand fisted into the back of his squad jacket while the other held his arm close to your body. You didn’t want to alert the medics that you were feeling extremely weak, but Kelly figured that would be the case with the three separate SVT alerts he had gotten today.
Kelly nodded and smiled at the medics before pulling you away and to Matt’s office. He knocked on the door and waited until Casey pulled his face out of the files of paper work on his desk to open the door. “Special delivery for Matty.” Kelly joked lightheartedly, but gave Matt a look they shared all too often lately.
Matt smiled warmly as you unceremoniously plopped down into his lap. “Well hey there kiddo.” Matt greeted, rubbing his hand up and down your back while checking your pulse with the other. “Rough day?” Matt asked, though he already knew the answer. Just like Kelly, Matt had gotten the same notification. He assumed you would be here and already had Kidd lined up to take over truck while you were in house.
You nodded, placing your head on Matt’s shoulder. You were always a physical touch person, but more so when you didn’t feel well. You'd find one of your brothers or uncles and plopped into their lap, soaking up their warmth as you lay your head on their shoulder. Nobody was surprised anymore after you’ve been doing this for years.
Matt nodded back, looking to Kelly as both of their phones chimed. Matt could feel your heart rate suddenly increase under the finger tips he had pressed to your neck. Sweat was building up where your forehead met Matt’s neck as you curled forward with a tiny gasp.
“What’s wrong?” Kelly asked, kneeling to be eye level with you. They could see that your heart rate was high, but you don’t normally react like that.
You dug a hand into your chest as you curled a little bit further forward. “I-it hurts. L-like my heart it, it’s fluttering, but there’s th-this pain.” You grunted, reaching your free hand out to grab onto Matt’s open one.
Kelly nodded, looking at Matt again. Matt mouthed “get Brett.” They didn’t want to scare you, but Matt could feel the way you were shaking against him, drawing in ragged breaths with your eyes squeezed shut. This wasn’t normal for you. The last time this happened, you ended up in the hospital. It was years ago, around the time your dad died. Matt racked his brain for more details while Kelly pulled the door open and stepped out to grab the two girls in the bunk room.
You whimpered as the pain got worse. Matt shushed you and grabbed your hand, leaning it toward him so that he could check your heart rate on your watch. It was steadily climbing. 180.184.186. Every second that went by, the higher your heart rate seemed to climb.
Sylvie slipped into the room as Kelly held the door open and stood in the doorway, not wanting to crowd you since Violet was still coming back with the crash kit. “Hey girly. What’s going on? Hmm?” Sylvie asked, taking your hand from Matt to peek at the watch herself. She looked at the watch and then at Matt with the question clear in her eyes, and Matt just nodded, confirming that the reading was accurate as he rested two fingers on the pulse point in your neck once again.
“H-hurts.” You grunted out, squirming in Matt’s lap, tears involuntarily slipping down your face as you tried bearing down like Conner had taught you.
Sylvie nodded as Violet came into the room. “Okay sweetie. Let’s have Matt lay you on his bunk, okay?” She said, standing up and taking a few steps back to let Matt move. As he did, Sylvie leaned back to talk to Kelly. “Go tell Boden to take us out of commission. I don’t like this.” She whispered as she watched Matt lay you down and immediately start helping Violet get you sorted.
Kelly nodded and walked toward the chief’s office. He didn’t want to leave you, but you were in the best hands and he needed a task to do anyways. He isn’t one for standing around during an emergency, especially when it comes to family.
Once Kelly was gone, Sylvie put her stethoscope on and stepped toward the side of the bed that Matt was on. “Alright. Let’s take a listen.” Sylvie said, sliding into the space Matt evacuated for her. She listened and made sure to school her face as she heard your heart skipping beats. She calmly took the stethoscope from her ears and put it around her neck as she glanced at the monitors Violet had you on. “Definitely hearing some palpitations. I saw her attempting a vagal maneuver earlier.” Brett told Violet. “We are going to have to medicate and get her to med. Matt, I need you to call Jay and Will.” Sylvie said, as she looked for the medicine in the crash kit.
“61 to main.” Violet said into her radio as she charted your vitals.
“Go ahead 61.” The dispatcher responded.
“We are transferring a patient from 51. 26 year old female in SVT. Heading to Med.” Violet responded, waiting for the all clear before switching channels. “61 to Med.” Violet said, watching as Matt nodded when he got off the phone with Will.
“Go ahead 61.” Maggie responded.
“Maggie. We’ve got Y/n Halstead here at 51 getting ready for transport. Matt called Will. She’s had multiple episodes of SVT and is currently in another. Vagal maneuver did nothing. Brett is pushing meds and then we will transport once she is stable.” Violet relayed, looking up as Kelly walked in with Boden on his heels.
“Copy that 61. We will have Conner on standby. We’ll be ready for little Halstead. Med out.” Maggie said.
Boden stepped in and surveyed the scene. “We heard the dispatch. How yah doin kiddo?” Boden asked, squeezing your foot.
You shakily tilted your hand back and forth, trying to force your eyes to stay open as Brett and Violet moved in tandem around you. You heard Matt mumbling to someone on the phone, but you were fighting to stay conscious. Suddenly, you could hear a loud beeping as many people called your name.
———————
When you woke up, your hands were held by someone on each side. You heard three different voices as the world started coming back into view. You groaned, drawing the attention to yourself.
“Hey kiddo. It’s alright.” Will whispered, standing from his chair to lean over you. You peeled your eyes open and looked up at your oldest brother, relishing in the comfort of his presence.
“Mmm. W-what happened?” You whisper, mouth feeling dry.
Jay stood and took the cup that Conner passed him from the table at the end of your bed. He eased the straw past your cracked lips and let you take a few sips before he pulled away. When you whined, he chuckled. “I know. Don’t want you making yourself sick. Gotta take it slow.” Jay placated, placing the water back on the table as he switched places with Conner.
“You gave us quite the scare young lady.” Conner said, getting his stethoscope out and taking a listen to your heart. “Much better now though. No flutter or anything.” Conner said, running a hand through your hair fondly. “You were at 51 and had a serious episode of SVT. Sylvie and Matt had to do compression when your heart stopped suddenly. They medicated and sedated you to tube you. We needed to let your heart rest for a little while, so we just recently weened you off the sedation and the vent.” Conner explained, stepping back to give Jay his spot back.
“I-I died?” You asked, eyes wide with fear. You looked between the three men as they all looked at each other. Finally, Jay spoke up.
“Yes, but only for a couple minutes. Violet was quick with the meds and Brett had you tubed and back in no time.” Jay soothed, clutching your hand in his.
“How l-long?” You asked Conner. “H-how long w-was I out?” You asked, wondering if you missed the holidays.
Conner smiled, squeezing your foot once more. “Don’t worry. It was only for 48 hours.” Conner soothed.
“Before you ask, your exam for your last class was waved and they are using the mean score of all your exams from the semester. We also brought your Christmas presents for you to keep you occupied and so you could finish them while you are resting here for the next 48 hours.” Will said, pulling the bag out and placing it at the foot of your bed. “We want to keep an eye on you. We already have a rotating schedule so that your never alone, and I can pop in during my shift tomorrow.” Will supplied, kissing the back of your hand as you settled.
You knew better to fight them, but you were also grateful to be here and alive. You felt safer being watched for a few more days, even though you hate hospitals as much as Jay. At least you’d have people by your side and plenty of presents to finish making to keep you occupied.

Kelly 😏😏
Tumblr media
When you started dating Kelly you almost expected him to bolt when he found out you had kids. Instead he did the opposite. The man took to the role like a fish to water. Your kids adored him and he adored them. When your teenager let it slip that one of the teachers at her school was talking to the girls inappropriately you wanted to handle it. Unfortunately Kelly overheard.
“Matt, I’ve got a stop to make” Kelly told Matt and as soon as he filled him in on why Matt was more than glad to ride along with him. Your daughter was in the cafeteria when she spotted Kelly and her eyes got big “Uh oh” she muttered and her friends twisted around to follow her line of sight, all of them spotting Kelly and Matt. “Isn’t that your mom’s boyfriend?” Kiara nodded “Yup”
She watched as Kelly went up to the teacher in question Excuse me. Are you Mr Franklin?” Mr Franklin turned around and nodded “Yes, and you are?” Kelly pointed back to Kiara “Someone who cares about her. Can we talk?” “I don’t think now’s a good time” Kelly smiled “I didn’t mean to sound like I was giving you an option”
He put his arm around Mr Franklin’s shoulder and walked him out of the cafeteria with Matt following the two of them. Kiara watched with wide eyes. A few minutes later Mr Franklin walked back in, pale as a ghost and Kelly walked in behind him. Kelly walked over to her “Come on sweetheart, you’re coming with me”
She gathered her things and followed him, watching Mr Franklin “What did you say to him Kelly?” Kelly shrugged “Just a warning that if wants to say certain things to teenage girls he better make certain as to who those teenage girls have backing them and what those people are willing to do”
A few days later Mr Franklin quit and it was pretty much made known not only for Kiara but for your other two kids that if you messed with them the entirety of fifty one was coming too. You’d never found yourself even considering proposing to a man but for Kelly Severide? You might just be thinking about it.

Casual (k.s.)
Tumblr media
Fandom/Characters: Chicago Fire - Kelly Severide x Fem!Reader, Matt Casey
Word Count: 2.6k
Summary: Agreeing to a friends with benefits deal with Kelly Severide to blow of some steam after shifts seemed like a great idea in the beginning. What happens when one of you starts to catch feelings?
Warnings: 18+ (no actual smut written but don't read if implication of it makes you uncofmy) - slight ooc kelly? hurt/comfort, mention of child death, fires, angst, pet names, fluff, implied smut, cursing, mention of sex, drinking, arguments, kissing, happy ending
a/n: i’ve been a matt girl since the moment i started watching chicago fire but recently i’ve been obsessed with kelly so this fic is a result of said obsession! also this was a bit rushed so ignore that lol but it was kinda inspired by the song casual by chappell roan so if you want, give it a listen while reading :) oh by the way the gif??? it’s gonna be the end of me- my god. anyways, enjoy <3
Tumblr media
You were at Molly’s, nursing your third glass of wine for the night, hoping to forget about the terrible shift you just had.
It wasn’t supposed to be this way. It was supposed to be a quick in and out, but the universe had different plans. Thinking back, you start wondering what had gone wrong.
Truck and Ambo were called to a small fire at a local café. At first, it seemed like a minor incident, just burnt toast that had accidentally caught fire. What you hadn't realized, though, was that one of the stoves had been left on accidentally, causing gas to slowly leak out.
Upon arrival, your Lieutenant, Matt Casey, instructed Otis and you to escort everyone from the sitting area. Fortunately, there were only a few customers that day, making your job easier.
As you began ushering everyone out, a mother approached you and expressed concern that her six-year-old daughter was still inside. You asked Otis to stay with her before assuring her that you would locate her daughter.
Once the building was evacuated and Herrmann was preparing to hose down the kitchen, you radioed in about the missing girl and announced that you were going back inside to find her. Casey advised you to hurry up before the situation escalated making you nod and rush in.
Heading back in, you immediately began searching for the little girl. You called out to her, but there was no response. After checking the bathroom, you noticed her unconscious form lying under the sink. Your heart sank. You quickly checked her pulse and realized how faint it was. You removed your mask and placed it on her, hoping it would help her breathe. Once the mask was on, you swiftly picked her up and hurried towards the exit.
Passing by the kitchen, you didn't notice how the stove was on. You should have. You don't know how you didn't. It was your job to notice these things but you were in such a rush that it slipped your eye. The realization only dawned on you when you heard Herrmann yelling for everyone to exit the area because of leaking gas and by then, the explosion had already occurred.
The impact sent you stumbling backward, causing you to tumble to the ground with the girl in your arms. Casey’s voice crackled through the radio, but the ringing in your ears muffled the words. You couldn't seem to stop coughing and your head was throbbing making your vision start to blur. You felt yourself succumbing to the darkness, but you fought to regain your composure and struggled to stand up.
Once the initial shock had worn off, you quickly got up and made it to the exit, disregarding your injuries, only concerned about passing the girl off to Gabby and Shay. They tried their best, you know they did, but the girl was dead before you even got to them. The explosion had killed her. The explosion you should have seen coming.
That six-year-old girl passed away, and it was all your fault.
You were snapped out of your thoughts when you heard the sound of your name. It was Kelly, the Lieutenant of Rescue Squad 3, and one of your closest friends, whom you were currently sleeping with.
A few months ago, after a particularly difficult shift, Severide and you had accidentally ended up spending the night together. Since then, you two agreed to keep it casual— no strings attached, friends with benefits, if you will. Both of you promised to break it off if one of you started to catch feelings and that seemed reasonable to you.
“Rough day?” He asked taking a seat on the barstool beside you.
“Six-year-old kid died in my arms, so I'd say so.” You say looking down at your glass, twirling the liquid around mindlessly.
“Wanna talk about?”
“Nope, but I do want to get out of here. Your place? It’s closer.” You glanced at him, and he caught on to what you meant in an instant; you needed to let out your frustrations.
He nodded as you downed the rest of your wine and you two headed back to his apartment without any further questions.
Tumblr media
You woke up the next day with an arm draped over your torso. You didn’t think much of it until you realized whose arm it was.
Shit.
You had never stayed over. You guys had never spent the night together to keep the feelings at bay. This was uncharted territory. So to say this was going to be awkward would be an understatement.
You attempted to quietly pull his arm away without waking him, but as soon as you made contact, you noticed him starting to stir.
“Good morning baby,” he voiced, groggily.
“Morning Kell,” You replied, blushing at the unexpected name.
“How are you feeling?” He asked, referencing the reason you were at the bar in the first place.
“Better.” You replied as you turned to face him. “Thank you.”
He didn't say anything, instead simply pulling you in for a quick kiss, letting you know he was there for you.
After pulling away, you decided it was time to get up. Popping the little bubblle you were in and ending the moment you shared.
“I'm gonna get dressed and head out, I didn't mean to stay over- just got carried away. I know we don't do that so I'll leave, sorry.”
“Y/N wait up-” He says, catching your attention.
“Yeah?” You turn around to look at him.
“I don't mind that you stayed, I know you had a tough day yesterday so it's fine. Make yourself at home sweetheart.”
The nickname caught you off guard once more. It wasn't unusual for him to shower you with praise and call you these names during sex. But afterwards? He'd never spoken to you that way and the sudden change was putting your heart in a whirl.
You sighed trying to regain your composure. “Yep, thanks. I'll uhh… I’ll see you at shift.” You brushed him off, smiling.
Tumblr media
Since that day, the dynamic between you two has shifted noticeably. Others at the firehouse have started to take note of it as well. He's become more attentive. Making sure he has a meal saved for you when you're too busy to eat, accompanying you home from Molly's when you've had a few drinks, and checking in on you after difficult calls.
It wasn't just him, though. You’ve been overly caring with him too, more than a friend should be. When he discovered he had a half-sister, you stood by him. You supported him in reaching out to her. And when she was going through a rough patch after her kidnapping? You were the one on the phone talking her down when she made the decision to move to Colorado.
After all your help, his mother even invited you to her house as a token of gratitude. You never intended to become so involved with him and his family, it changed how you saw him.
You heard the rumors, you knew he was a player— a womanizer who didn't care about anything except his pleasure. But witnessing his interactions with his family alongside the kindness he's been treating you with recently? It was coming to be harder and harder to view him as selfish and uncaring.
The line between friends and lovers was becoming increasingly blurry. Yet you were still trying your hardest to avoid the development of feelings because you knew once you crossed that threshold, there was no going back.
You were walking towards the kitchen when you caught Casey and Severide engaging in conversation by the coffee pot.
You didn't mean to eavesdrop but hearing your name leave Matt’s lips made you stop dead in your tracks.
“What's going on between you and her?” He asked.
“Nothing. It’s all casual. She's nothing more than a friend, Case. We're not together.” Kelly replied, a little too firmly.
Ouch.
You knew nothing was going on between the two of you but hearing that coming from him? It hurt more than you'd like to admit.
You imagined sharing an apartment, perhaps a year or so from now and spending the coming years wrapped in each other's arms, building a family. You chuckled to yourself at the fact that you even thought that was a possibility at some point. Realizing now how naive it was to believe he would ever view you as anything more than a fuckbuddy. Oh, how you loved being stupid.
You spent the rest of the shift avoiding him. It wasn't fair to him; after all, he didn't know you had overheard. Your feelings were your problem, and it wasn't right to act as though he were responsible. Yet, facing him felt impossible without making a fool of yourself.
You found yourself at Molly’s again. Downing shot after shot. You knew you were way past your limit but the lack of Kelly Severide-related thoughts in your brain was encouraging you to continue.
It had gotten to the point where you noticed Herrmann giving you shots of water instead but you were too far gone to care.
You were about to request another real shot when you felt a presence next to you. You turned your head to the side and saw the one person you were trying to forget about.
Lieutenant Kelly Severide.
“You've been avoiding me.” He said, less of a question and more of a statement, keeping his eyes on you.
You hated how small he made you feel, like he could read you in just one glance. His intense gaze made you look away before trying to find Herrmann. “I have not. Now excuse me, I was about to order another drink.”
“You don't need another one.” He said, grabbing your shoulders and turning you back around to face him.
“What are you? My boyfriend? We’re just friends Severide, you don't get to make that decision for me.” You wouldn't have usually been that snarky but the alcohol in your system was giving you courage you didn't know you had.
He was taken aback by your response, you were never like this with him. It was worrying him.
He tried to help you stand up, “Y/N c’mon let's get you home.”
You reluctantly agreed. You knew you were going to regret this in the morning but at the moment, you didn't care. He started walking you towards the exit when you pulled yourself away from him and spoke up, “I don't need a babysitter. I can walk by myself.”
“If you actually think I'm letting you walk home, drunk and alone at this time of night, then you're crazy.” He replied casually while walking beside you.
You stopped abruptly and sighed, looking down. “Why do you do that?”
“Do what?” He questioned, placing his finger under your chin bringing your face up to meet his.
“Why do you act like you care?” You clarified, holding his stare, pretending his touch wasn't erupting fireworks in your stomach.
“I do care! I care more about you than you realize Y/N.” He said a bit too loudly, raising his hands in exaggeration.
“You're not supposed to!” You shouted back.
“Why not? Is it such a crime to care about my friend?” He replied, exasperated and upset.
There it was. The dreaded ‘friend.’ You knew it was coming. So why did it still shock you?
“I- I can't do this Kelly- I'll just call a cab to take me home, you don't need to walk me. Forget anything happened.” You said turning around, ignoring his objections, calling your name.
Tumblr media
You spent your days off moping around. Kelly had called you multiple times and left countless messages, but you couldn't bring yourself to respond. You knew you were being childish, but it didn't matter. The thought of going back to work and having to face him filled you with dread but that was a problem for later. Right now, you have errands to run.
While you were getting dressed, you absentmindedly opened the drawer meant for Kelly. You couldn't avoid him, he seemed to be everywhere you looked. Your phone, your workplace, and now, your dresser.
You sighed. The fact that you two had separate drawers designated for one another at each other's homes, slipping your mind completely. Is that something friends with benefits did? Did they keep clothes at the other’s place to ‘make it easier for them to get dressed?’
Your thoughts were cut short when you heard a knock at your door. You weren't expecting anyone but opened the door regardless not guessing who you’d see on the other side.
You found yourself face-to-face with none other than the man who had been plaguing your thoughts nonstop. However, after avoiding him for so long, you didn't know what to say or how to act. You felt like you’d never been in such close proximity with him before, it was suffocating. So you simply stood there until he eventually spoke.
“We need to talk.” He stated simply.
“What's there to talk about?” You asked, avoiding his eyes.
“This. Us.” He said, motioning between the two of you.
You finally took a good look at him, you noticed the heavy bags under his eyes and the weary slump of his shoulders. It was clear that he was utterly exhausted, as if he hadn't slept at all in the last few days. And the simple thought of the reason for his exhaustion being you, made you feel terrible.
“Severide-” You couldn’t let this drag on for any longer without hating yourself, so you took a deep breath and continued, “I think we should end this arrangement that we have.”
“What?” He furrowed his brows.
“We agreed that once one of us starts catching feelings, we'd end it. So let's end it before it gets messy and hurts either of us more than it should.” You tried closing the door once you were done speaking but he quickly squeezed himself in, preventing your attempts at pushing him away.
“What are you doing?” You asked following him into your apartment.
“That's not fair!” He exclaims, “You don't get to ignore me for days and then just end our relationship and shut me out.”
“This was hardly a relationship.” You scoff, “But, what did you want me to do Kelly!?” You matched his volume, watching as he paced in the middle of your living room.
“I don't know, maybe talk to me about how you're feeling!” He said, tone dripping with sarcasm while glaring at you. If looks could kill, you'd be six feet under right about now.
“Oh, that's really mature coming from you! Mr. Expert at communication.” You replied with just as much pettiness as you could muster, stepping closer to him to prove a point.
He stood silent for a moment before taking a deep breath and approaching you, “Maybe you're right, maybe we do need to end this thing we have. I just thought we cared about us enough to at least talk it out.”
The two of you now stood face to face, your breaths labored and eyes locked in an unbreakable gaze. Silence enveloped the space between you, the tension so thick that it felt tangible like it could be sliced through with a knife.
“I’m sorry.” You said quietly. “I shouldn't have ignored you and I also shouldn't have just sprung that on you.”
Once you noticed he was letting you continue, you went on, “I just realized that I couldn't be as ‘casual’ about our relationship as you are anymore. I tried to hold my tongue and ignore the feelings I have for you, but it was getting harder Kelly. Nothing about our deal has been casual for weeks now and it was starting to affect me.” You finally let out.
He took in your words, shaking his head. “It hasn't been casual for me either Y/N. I love you, and have for a very long time.”
The force of his words hit you like a physical blow. Love? How did he claim to love you when he had not only never hinted at such feelings before but also dismissed Casey when he asked about it? You were confused and it was evident on your face with the way you looked at him, shell-shocked.
“You love me? But you told Casey that there was nothing going on between us and-”
You were quickly cut off by his hands on your face, pulling you in. The intensity of his lips against yours short-circuited your entire being. It took a moment for your brain to register what was happening, but soon you found yourself reciprocating his kiss.
While you and he had shared kisses in the past, this one was different. It wasn't hurried like your usual kisses but instead filled with a deep sense of passion, tender and slow, and brimming with love and adoration for one another.
He placed his hands gently on your waist, drawing you closer, deepening the kiss. You raised your arms, threading your fingers through his hair, feeling the slight tug as you did. It was as if your lips were pulled together by an irresistible force, making it difficult to part.
You wanted time to freeze in that beautiful moment so you could stay in it forever. You wished to remain embraced by him indefinitely. His touch was tender and affectionate, brimming with care. It felt as though both of you had shed all your worries and were completely immersed in the love surrounding you.
You tentatively ended the kiss and gazed into his eyes, which stemmed a love you had never felt from him before. For the first time, they didn't overwhelm you or make you feel small; instead, they enveloped you in a sense of comfort. And in that fleeting beat, his eyes spoke volumes even when his words remained silent.
“I love you too.” You said, sharing his sentiment, causing a grin to emit on both of your faces.
You felt like a teenager who was experiencing love for the first ever time; and you wouldn't want it any other way.

Stuck With Me
Tumblr media
After a car accident leaves Y/N in critical condition, Casey anxiously waits by her side as she fights for her life, grappling with his own fears and the weight of everything they've both been through.
Y/N had been on her way to start her shift at Med when it happened. One second, she was slowing for the intersection; the next, the world exploded in shattering glass and screeching metal. The impact sent her car spinning, slamming into a streetlight. Then, nothingness.
Brett and Violet had just finished a call when the dispatch came through—major MVC, driver unconscious, possible entrapment. Their stomachs dropped when they heard the location. They instantly recognized the location, as it was on the route you typically took to get to your shifts at Med.
They arrived to find Y/N trapped, barely conscious, blood pooling from a head wound. She was breathing—but barely, and it was visibly laboured. Violet gets into the passenger seat and starts IV and gets a C-Collar on her.  Squad 3 pried the door open, and gently moved her to the gurney. Just as she was settled on the gurney, the monitors shrieked in warning as she flatlined.
“No pulse!” Violet shouted. “Starting compressions!” She jumps on and straddles the gurney as Brett and Severide load it in.
Casey arrived just in time to see them loading Y/N into the rig, Brett delivering a shock with the defibrillator, as Violet sat back on the bench and spoke into her radio. His stomach turned as he saw your body jolt. Matt tried to jump into the back of the ambulance, but Severide held him back before slamming the doors shut, as Cruz got into the cab and gunned it to Med.
En route to Med, Violet is doing compressions, while Brett gets you intubated since you were no longer protecting your airway.
Once they arrive to Med, it is a host of organized chaos
"Female, late 20s, T-boned at high speed—found unresponsive at the scene, GCS 3. Sustained significant chest trauma with suspected cardiac contusion or tension pneumo. Lost pulses as we left the scene—three rounds of epi given, three shocks delivered. Intubated en route, no spontaneous respirations. Six-minute downtime."
“Going to Baghdad” Maggie called out as they rushed past.
As soon as they entered, the trauma room was chaos—beeping monitors, the hurried shuffle of feet, the thud of chest compressions. The team had been working for what felt like an eternity, but nothing was giving. Will, Ethan, and Connor moved in sync, pushing meds, shocking Y/N again and again, trying to pull her back from the brink.
“Pulse?” Connor asked, voice strained, eyes fixed on the monitor.
“Nothing,” Will answered, his voice low but firm.
Connor turns to the defibrillator and starts charging it again.
"Charged to 360! Clear!" Connor shouted, his voice cutting through the noise of the trauma room.
The room fell silent for a moment as Y/N’s body jolted once more, the shock coursing through her.
Seconds ticked by. All three doctors were watching the monitors, when suddenly, the beeping of a faint pulse began to return. Connor’s heart hammered in his chest.
“She's back,” Ethan breathed, exhaling a breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding.
Connor quickly turned his attention back to Y/N, watching her intently.
“We need to get her to the OR,” he said, taking charge, his voice steady and commanding. “I’m not wasting time. Let's move.”
He looked over to Will and Ethan. “You ready?”
Will nodded, already prepping the IV fluids. “Let’s go.”
Severide appeared in the doorway, his face tense with worry, but relief in his eyes. “Is she stable enough to move?”
“For now,” Connor replied, turning to the gurney, adjusting Y/N’s head gently, making sure your airway was secure. “But we’re pushing it. We can’t wait much longer.”
The team was quick to wheel Y/N out of the trauma room, and Connor took point, pushing the gurney with a sense of urgency. He never took his eyes off of her, watching the mechanical rise and fall of her chest from the ventilator and the pulse on the monitor.
“Stay with me, Y/N,” he whispered to himself, though he knew you couldn’t hear him. His breath caught as they reached the hallway, the tension thick in the air.
The OR doors loomed ahead, and the weight of the moment hit him like a ton of bricks. He had no idea what would happen when they got you inside—but he knew one thing for sure: He wasn’t letting you go without a fight.
The team rushed you into the OR, and Connor didn’t hesitate. He followed immediately, calling orders as they moved into the sterile environment.
“Let’s get everything prepped. I’m not losing her,” Connor said, his voice sharp and filled with determination. “She’s strong. We’ve got this.”
In the hall
Casey stood there, numb, watching the love of his life disappear behind the operating room doors.
And then, as they wheeled her past—his vision swam. The world tilted.
Someone called his name. Hands grabbed at him.
Then—nothing.
“Casey!” Severide barely caught him before he hit the floor. He was completely out—limp in Severide’s arms.
Brett rushed for help. Choi arrived within seconds, immediately checking Casey’s vitals. “Pulse is weak—thready. BP’s tanking.”
“Matt, come on,” Severide muttered, shaking him, but he didn’t stir.
Choi pressed his knuckles hard against Casey’s sternum, rubbing roughly.
Nothing.
Another rub.
Casey suddenly gasped, jerking violently. His eyes flew open, wild and unfocused.
Then he fought.
Casey came back swinging. Hands on his arms, voices all around him, his body on fire. He felt trapped—pinned.
“No—get off me!” He thrashed, panic clawing at his chest.
“Hold him down!” Choi barked. “If he doesn’t stop, he’s gonna crash again!”
“Casey, stop!” Severide’s voice cut through the chaos. “You’re safe. You passed out.”
But Casey wasn’t listening. His body was still in fight mode, reacting purely on adrenaline. Choi didn’t hesitate.
“Two milligrams IM Ativan—now.”
A sharp prick in his shoulder. Seconds later, warmth spread through his veins, dragging him under.
The next time he woke, he was in an ER bay, IV now in his arm, nasal cannula delivering oxygen. His head throbbed. His limbs felt like lead.
“Easy, man.” Severide was beside him.
Casey blinked, sluggish. “What…”
“You passed out. Went completely unresponsive. Scared the hell out of all of us.”
Flashes came back—Y/N, the OR, the panic, the blackout.
Casey swallowed hard, noticing the IV in his arm. He reached up to yank the nasal cannula off—
“Don’t even think about it,” Severide warned, standing to place a heavy hand on his best friend’s shoulder.
Casey scowled but relented. “Where’s Y/N?”
Severide hesitated. “Will should be out soon.”
Minutes stretched painfully before Will appeared.
“She made it,” Will said. “Surgery went well. She’s stable.”
Relief hit Casey so hard he nearly choked on it.
Severide wheeled Casey up to her room, IV still hooked up. When they entered, Y/N was just starting to stir. Her eyes fluttered open, hazy with sedation. Her gaze landed on Casey.
She blinked, confusion flickering across her face. “Matt?” Her voice was hoarse from the tube.
“Hey,” Casey rasped, moving closer. “Yeah, I’m here.”
Her eyes drifted to the wheelchair, to the IV still in his arm. Her brows furrowed. “What… what happened?”
Casey hesitated, but Severide filled in the blanks. “Idiot over here passed out in the waiting room when they took you back.”
Y/N’s lips parted in faint surprise. “You—what?”
Casey exhaled. “Guess I didn’t handle it well.”
She gave a soft, tired smile. “You’re stuck with me, Casey.”
His throat tightened as tears started rolling down his face. “Yeah,” he murmured, taking her hand gently. “I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”
The first few days of your recovery were rough. The pain was unbearable at times, but the exhaustion was worse. Physical therapy was grueling. But Casey never left your side.
Some days, she made progress—sitting up, taking a few steps.
Other days, the setbacks hit hard—pain flaring, dizziness keeping you in bed. Frustration weighed on you, but Casey was always there, steady as ever.
“You got this,” he’d whisper, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
One night, you broke down, tears slipping free. “What if I don’t get back to how I was?”
Casey cupped your face. “You're not alone. We haven’t crossed that bridge yet, but if we do, then we figure it out together.”
Y/N exhaled shakily. Then, she leaned into him.
Because through it all—through the pain, the fear, the uncertainty—one thing remained true.
She wasn’t doing this alone.
And neither was he.

Down the aisle | Leslie Shay x Firefighter!Reader
Where you and Shay go from girlfriend's to wives
Chicago Fire masterlist | Words: 1.6k
-----
“Kelly Severide, stop laughing at me.” Shay said in frustration. “Why? It’s funny that you have something bad to say about every beautiful ring you see.” Her best friend had been with her in the jewellery store for the past hour, not to mention that it was the fourth jewellery store they had visited in the past week.
“The ring has to be perfect, Kelly.” He shook his head, “I know, but at this pace there aren’t going to be any rings left in the world. That girl is head over heels for you, and will say yes no matter what ring you pick. “Still I want it to be perfect.”
They kept looking around at the ring collection this store had until Shay’s eyes fell on the one. “Oh my god, that’s it. That is the ring!” Kelly celebrated quietly behind Shay’s back. He loved his best friend dearly, but was also glad that he would finally be spending his days off somewhere other than in a jewellery store.
For Shay it had been easy to keep her thoughts of wanting to ask for your hand in marriage, but now that she had something physical to do it with, she was anxious you would find out. She had given Kelly the ring for safekeeping, but still she knew that she wouldn’t be able to keep the plan a secret for much longer. So, she changed her original plan a little bit, and decided she was going to ask you on your next date night.
Since you both worked 24 hour shifts at the firehouse, you made sure that you made time for each other on your hours off. One of the things you did to reassure you would have some time set aside was a set date night. It really didn’t matter what you did, the only thing that mattered is that you did it together.
Today’s date night, you went to the Field Museum of Natural History. They had a dinosaur section, which is exactly why Shay wanted to bring you here. You loved dinosaurs and learning more about them. You thought the museum was amazing, and were running around showing her things like an excited little kid.
When you got back home, you were still talking about the dinosaurs. So much so that you didn’t realise the set up of your living room. Shay looked around, very happy with how her idea had played out. She had asked Kelly and Dawson to set up the “Will you marry me?” sign surrounded by a rose petal heart. It looked absolutely perfect, now you just had to look around.
The moment that you did, time stood still. You looked at the setup in front of you with your jaw dropped, and eyes widened in surprise. When you turn to look at your girlfriend, she is down on one knee and holds out an open ring box towards you. “Yes, yes, yes!” You say with tears in your eyes.
“You're not even going to let me ask the question?” She giggles with tears in her own eyes from your excitement. “Oops?” You laugh back. “Please ask me, darling.”
With a big smile on her face, Shay holds your hand. “You are my best friend, and I want to spend the rest of my life by your side. Y/n Y/l/n, will you marry me?”
You're now both full on crying, but in the best way. “Yes, I will definitely marry you!” You fall into her arms and sob happy tears into each other's shoulders.
The rest of the evening was spent in the comfort of your home and each other's arms. It wasn't until the next day that you told people about your engagement. Shay sent Severide a picture with the text “She said yes!” He congratulated the both of you and invited you for a drink at Molly's.
Of course, you should have expected the whole team to be waiting for you inside of Molly’s as you arrived. All of them yelling out “Surprise!” When you walked through the door. It was nice celebrating this step in your relationship with the people closest to you, the people that had become your family over the years.
The next day where the team was back at work, the room buzzed with energy. Everyone was excited about the engagement, and was asking all kinds of questions about your plans for the wedding. Above all else, they were thrilled that the couple they had seen grow over the years, was taking the next step together.
Your day started off calm, but as soon as that first bell rang, you knew it wouldn’t be stopping any time soon. As you expected, the calls began to pile up, and the intensity grew. A handful of car accidents, a heart attack victim, and a kitchen fire kept you busy in just the morning.
There was just enough time to have some lunch, before the bells rang again. All units were called to respond to the scene, so you knew this was going to be a serious one.
A multi-story building had caught fire, and people were still trapped inside. You rushed into truck 81 and your team raced to the scene. When you got there you realised just how far gone the building was. Flames were shooting out the windows, and thick dark clouds of smoke hung around the tall frame of the building.
Without hesitation, you all sprang into action. “Y/l/n, you’re going up with me. The rest help Squad.” You put on your mask and ran inside, following close behind Casey. When you got up to the fire floor, there was no time for second-guessing, you had to go before the building would collapse.
The heat and the thick smoke combined, made it hard to see anything at all. Yet you kept yelling out, until finally you heard voices respond. A family of four was hiding in the bathroom, as most of the room was engulfed in flames.
You and Casey worked together to get the trapped family into the hall. You stood in the middle of the room, helping them over the flames, while Casey got them into the hallway. The moment that the family was out in the hallway, the ceiling about you gave way.
One of the beams came crashing down, and pinned you to the floor. “Go, get downstairs!” Casey shouted to the family. The safest for them was to head down and meet another firefighter there, he didn’t want more of the ceiling to collapse while the family was still there.
“Mayday mayday, firefighter down on the sixth floor.” He radio’s in while he makes his way to you. Seconds after Shay’s voice is heard over the radio. “Casey, is y/n okay?” He doesn’t answer, as he doesn’t know the answer himself yet.
“Casey, come in.” Boden requested as the line was still quiet from your end. “Getting to her now. The ceiling collapsed and she’s trapped under a beam. She’s conscious, but I need help getting it off of her.”
You were conscious and talking to Casey while he was trying to pull the beam off himself, without any luck. Luckily more people arrived to aid him, very quickly. With many hands, cribbing, and the right tools, they were able to get you out from underneath the weight of the beam quickly.
When you got outside, one arm over Casey’s shoulders and the other over Severides, you finally felt like you could breathe again. Shay ran into your arms. “Are you okay? Let me check you out, please, I need to make sure that you’re okay.” You lift your arms from the boys and hold onto your fianceé. “I’m okay, just going to be really sore tomorrow.”
“I thought I lost you.” You shake your head. “You’re not getting rid of me that easily.” You joke, but you were well aware of how the situation could have ended. “Life is too short. I don’t want to waste any time.” Shay was quick to chime in, “You don’t have to convince me, let’s get married as fast as we can.”
After a long and exhausting shift, the team got together for a small firehouse wedding. It was just quickly thrown together, but you had all you needed. Your bride and your family surrounding you.
Severide walked Shay down the makeshift aisle, while you were standing in the doors of the apparatus floor with Casey by your side. He was like a brother to you, so there was not even a question on your mind when Shay asked you who you would want to walk you down the aisle. “Are you ready?” He says as he watches your eyes meet Shay’s. “I’ve never been more ready for something in my life.”
You met Shay between Truck 81 and Ambulance 61, a small touch to give even more meaning to this day. Boden stood between you, who better to officiate your wedding than the man that had been like a father figure to the both of you.
The ceremony, while simple, was perfect. It was a day neither one of you would ever forget. After you had said your I do’s and sealed your marriage with a kiss, you carried Shay inside bridal style.
While the day may be over, your shift was not. But for now the team would rest, and hope to be recharged enough when the next bell rang. For you the day was perfect, just because you had Shay by your side for the rest of your life.

The smell of smoke and hand soap lingers in the air around you as your mouth clashes with his, the loud bass from the live band vibrates the small bathroom stall, you can’t help but moan as his tongue slides against yours. You don’t normally hook up with strangers at bars but there was something so captivating about this man you couldn’t deny his invitation to the bathroom, the taste of whiskey off his lips sends a flood down to your core- desperate for friction you reach down and unbuckle his belt as fast as possible.
He takes the hint and takes over, unbuttoning his jeans and pulls them down along with his boxers. You gasp softly against his mouth as you feel your dress being yanked above your waist, his fingers make their way into the band of your soaked panties. A soft whimper escapes your lips as his finger tips gently graze your swollen clit “Jesus, sweetheart, you’re already wet” his husky, lust filled voice scratches something in your brain. The horny daze you’re in takes over your body, you don’t think about your next move you just let your body take control.
You reach down and grab a hold of his cock and gently stroke it while looking deep into his eyes, without breaking eye contact he pushes your panties down to your knees and moves you against the cold metal stall door. He steps right in front of you and brings his cock between your legs, your legs tremble as the tip glides up and down your puffy lips. He pulls your legs apart more and you grab a hold of the toilet paper holder for balance, the head of his dick slow presses into your entrance asking for permission. You nod quickly giving him the okay, you couldn’t help but feel so needy right now. The ache between your legs could only be fixed by one solution and that solution was this stranger’s big cock.
You cover your mouth immediately as he pushes further into you until he bottoms out, you bite your tongue hard to fight back the moan of pure ecstasy that’s lodged in your throat. His pleasured groans meet your ears as he starts to pump into you, his hand slams against the door that holds you up to balance himself, your free hand snakes behind him and grips his ass. Soft swears are muttered against your neck as his hot lips place gentle kisses against your sensitive skin. Your body tenses immediately as you hear the bathroom door open and a few people come stumbling in, your brain tells you to push the guy away but you’re so lost in pleasure that you don’t move.
He pulls away from your neck for a moment and you look up at him to see a wicked grin slapped across his face, his pace doesn’t slow down as he reaches up and grabs your wrist to pull away your hand that’s clamped over your mouth. He whispers to you “don’t hold back sweetheart, let the whole bar hear what a good girl you are.” His voice was pure sex and you couldn’t help but listen to his demand, you let out the moans, allowing yourself to enjoy this very hot situation. You could hear laughing coming from outside the stall but you didn’t care, the orgasm you were chasing was too tempting to pass up.
Your back arches as a loud grunt leaves his perfect mouth, your pussy clenches around him as you go over the edge, you don’t hold anything back as you cum- letting all the swears fill the small space around you. His amused chuckle is followed by a shuttered groan as you feel him spill into your body, he collapses against you, panting softly as the both of you catch your breath. After a few moments past the haze starts to clear, you feel his breath against your ear, there’s a gentleness to his words as he says, “best pussy of my life.”
For some reason you believed him, you’ve only know him for a few hours but something about the way he said it makes you truly believe that you’re the best he’s ever had.

Believe me pt 3
Tumblr media
Jay took it slow as they drove around, listening the y/n as she leaned against the back seat, her eyes closed as she gave directions. Antonio sighed, grumbling as they came to a stop in front of an apartment building. Jay gave him a look as he opened the door to y/n, allowing her to stand still before walking to the entrance of what looked like an abandoned building. Jay grimaced as he looked around at the walls, following y/n as she muttered under her breath. He nearly bumped into her when she came to a stop.
“This was it.” Y/n explained nodding to the chipped door. “You sure?” Jay asked as Antonio eyed him. “Uhuh.” y/n nodded, flinching as Antonio grabbed her to move her away from the door. “Chicago pd.” Jay called out, knocking on the door.
They heard movement behind the door and Jay nodded at Antonio to kick the door down. Y/n watched as the two detectives rushed into the apartment, guns raised before a man came into figure, trying to climb out the window. Jay was quicker, grabbing him before he jumped, while Antonio moved to the bed where another girl lay, bounded up. She screamed as the blind was removed only for Antonio to flash his badge, silencing her. Y/n watched in amazement as Jay handcuffed the guy and brought him out. She shivered as he turned his face to her, and he snarled at her before Jay pulled him away from her. Antonio came out with the victim and turned to y/n, patting her on the shoulder before walking down the stairs.
Outside y/n seen a squad car pull up and a black jeep behind them. She stopped when she seen Kelly running out of the drivers seat, still in gear from their previous call. She allowed him to wrap his jacket and arms around her, before clinging to him as she cried. Kelly hushed her as he rocked her, kissing her forehead before looking at the squad car, glaring at the man in the back seat.
“Y/n, we may need to speak to you again. Catching him in the act is a near guarantee for time.” Jay stated, walking to the fireman and girl. “Does she need to do anything?” Kelly asked, rubbing y/n’s back gently. “A rape kit would be beneficial for evidence.” Jay stated, looking at y/n. “We can go to med now if you want. I can ask April to run it.” Kelly advised, looking down at y/n. “Do we have to do it now?” Y/n asked, looking from Kelly to Jay. “The longer you leave it the less likely the evidence will be accurate.” Jay explained, nodding his head. “Ok.” Y/n sighed, nodding at the two men. “Let’s go.” Kelly sighed, kissing head before guiding her to his car.
-------------
Kelly leaned against the wall outside the room where April had brought y/n. She had called for Natalie to do the examination, but had promised Kelly that she would stay by the young Caseys side for the duration of the exam. The fireman breathed heavily as he rubbed his forehead before looking up when he heard footsteps approach him.
“How is she?” Casey asked, stopping in front of Casey. “I don’t know Casey, scared of what’s to come, heartbroken that her brother didn’t believe her.” Kelly snapped at Casey, and Casey sighed before leaning on the wall beside Kelly. “I know, I feel bad. I took my frustrations out on her.” Casey sighed, head down in defeat. “How could I imply that she lied about being kidnapped, and raped. What kind of brother am I?” Casey exclaimed, throwing his arms out in frustration. “The type who made a mistake. But you’re here for her now. That’s what matters.” Kelly sighed, not wanting to argue with Casey. “Can we see her?” “April and Natalie are doing a rape kit on her. Than she should be good to go.” Kelly explained, and Casey nodded. “Thanks Kelly.” Casey stated. “For what?” Kelly asked, confused. “Believing her.”
Kelly didn’t have time to answer when the door to y/ns room opened and Natalie walked out, April following with a bag in hand. The doctor looked at the two firemen before nodding at them.
“You can go into her now. She’s a little fragile at the minute, these kits take a lot out of victims so be careful with her. She’s good to go when she’s ready.” Natalie explained. “Thanks.” Kelly smiled softly at the women before walking into the room, Casey following slowly behind.
Y/n was sat on the side of the bed, arms around herself as she looked out the window beside her. She turned slightly when she heard the door open, and looked down when she seen Matt behind Kelly. Kelly smiled softly as he moved to sit beside her, offering his hand to her.
“You ok?” He asked as y/n accepted his hand, rubbing his thumb against her knuckles. “I want this over with.” Y/n stated. “I know. And it will be, soon.” Kelly stated, bumping into her slightly. “I think I know what I want to do when I graduate.” Y/n stated, looking at Kelly. “What’s that?” Casey asked, moving his head to the side. “A detective. I want to help people find justice for the crimes against them.” Y/n explained and Casey nodded with a slight smile. “I think, you’ll make a great detective.” Casey nodded, frowning when y/n looked away from him. “I’m sorry I didn’t believe you. I had a bad case, I should of never took it out on you.” Casey explained, moving to be in front of his sister. “It hurt me when you said I was lying. I didn’t think you would say that to me.” Y/n explained, and Casey looked down. “I know I’m sorry. I should of known you would never make something like that up.” Casey stated, shifting in his feet. “Do you believe me now?” Y/n asked, afraid of the answer. “I think I always believed you, I just didn’t want it to be true so acted on impulse with denial.” Casey explained, placing a hand on y/n’s shoulder. “I think that would be an accurate assumption.” Y/n nodded, before moving to wrap her arms around Casey’s waist. “Come on, let’s head to the firehouse, we still have a shift to finish.” Casey smiled, wrapping his arms around y/n and kissing her head. “Can I stay there tonight?” Y/n asked. “Absolutely.” Casey nodded, moving to allow y/n to step up. “I’m sure the gang are looking to see you.” Kelly stated. “Yea, Kelly here left in such a rush didn’t even explain to them what was happening.” Casey exclaimed, nodding his head to Kelly. “I was more concerned about y/n.” Kelly defended himself. “Thanks Kelly. Where would I be without you?” Y/n smiled, leaning into Kelly’s side. “I wonder the same thing.” Case smiled, knowing that he would of never known his sister if it wasn’t for Kelly. “I’m just your night in shining armor.” Kelly joked, flexing his arm causing y/n to giggle and Casey to shake his head.

Note
For the epileptic reader set could you do one where she and Jay are home and she feels in coming on and tells him so they prepare for it before it hits but it ends up being longer than 5 minutes so he calls 911 and Matt and Kelly both show up with Sylvie and Violet. Maybe an appearance from Sam the snarky neurologist while they’re at med...?
Tumblr media
The Warning Signs
Summary: Jay Halstead and Y/N Casey have learned how to handle her epilepsy together—recognizing the signs, preparing for seizures, and riding out the storm as a team. When she feels one coming on during a quiet evening at home, she alerts Jay right away, and they go into action. But when the seizure stretches past the five-minute mark and doesn’t stop, Jay calls 911. Firehouse 51 responds with Sylvie, Violet, Matt, and Kelly, all shaken but determined to help. At Med, Connor is en route—but not fast enough to beat Dr. Sam Abrams, the notoriously snarky neurologist with zero bedside charm. With a mix of medical chaos and sibling emotion, Jay fights to stay calm while Matt and Kelly rally behind him, determined not to let Y/N face this alone.
Tumblr media
It had been a peaceful evening—pizza on the coffee table, a fuzzy blanket over their legs, and reruns of Parks and Rec playing softly in the background. Jay had just refilled their drinks when he saw it: Y/N’s shoulders tensing, her jaw clenching the tiniest bit. She shifted on the couch, bringing her knees closer to her chest.
He was beside her in an instant. “Bug? You okay?”
She nodded faintly, blinking slowly as if underwater. “It’s coming,” she whispered, her voice shaky. “One of the big ones. I can feel it.”
Jay immediately went into action, as they’d practiced so many times before. He helped her lie down on her side, slid the cushion under her head, dimmed the lights, and grabbed the emergency pack. Her anti-seizure rescue meds were in the top pocket, just in case.
“You’re safe. I’m right here,” he said softly, brushing her hair off her face.
She gave the faintest nod—then stiffened.
The seizure came fast, violent and sudden. Her body arched, then dropped into rhythmic convulsions, her hands curling tight. Jay watched the clock. One minute. Two. He kept her on her side, keeping the airway clear, whispering her name even though he knew she couldn’t hear him.
Three minutes. He had the meds in his hand but waited—Connor had said to hold unless it stretched past five.
At four minutes, he was on the edge of panic.
At five, he administered the rescue med.
At six, nothing had changed.
At six minutes and forty-five seconds, he grabbed the phone and called 911. “Tonic-clonic seizure, lasting over six minutes. Rescue med given. No response. Patient has epilepsy—this is abnormal.”
Dispatch confirmed help was en route.
He hung up and texted Matt.
Jay: Seizure. Long. Rescue med didn’t stop it. I called 911.
The response was immediate.
Matt: On our way.
It was Sylvie and Violet who arrived first, sirens cutting through the night. Jay flung the door open before they could knock.
“She’s in the living room. Still seizing.”
Violet rushed to start vitals while Sylvie got oxygen and airway support going. “Let’s get her loaded. She’s in status—this isn’t stopping on its own.”
Moments later, Squad 3 and Truck 81 pulled up, and Matt was out before the engine even stopped. Kelly was right behind him.
“Where is she?” Matt demanded.
Jay’s voice cracked. “She’s still seizing, Matt.”
Matt’s expression crumbled as he crouched beside her, brushing her sweat-soaked hair back. “Come on, baby girl. You gotta slow down.”
Kelly’s jaw was tight, but he said nothing—he just helped secure her for transport.
“She’s going to Med,” Sylvie told them. “Connor’s been paged.”
Jay jumped into the ambulance with them. Matt and Kelly followed behind in their rigs, headlights glaring through the back doors like a beacon.
At Med, the trauma team was ready.
But Connor wasn’t the first one in the room.
It was Sam Abrams.
Dr. Sam Abrams, snarky, efficient, and terrifyingly brilliant, strolled in with a tablet in one hand and his trademark sarcasm already dialed up.
“Well,” he said, glancing at the monitor. “Someone decided tonight was the night to test how much cortical electricity the brain can handle. Bold move.”
Jay’s glare could have cracked glass. “Just help her.”
“Already am, Detective,” Sam replied coolly. “We’re stabilizing. Rescue meds failed, so we’re using IV lorazepam and moving to load with Keppra. Airway’s clear for now. MRI after we get her under control, unless Rhodes comes charging in and throws a stethoscope at me.”
Matt and Kelly burst into the trauma bay moments later.
“Abrams?” Matt asked, confused.
“He beat me here,” came Connor’s voice from behind him as he pushed through the door, gloving his hands as he moved. “And apparently still hasn’t learned empathy.”
Sam flashed a grin. “You want charm or survival? I’m here for the latter.”
Connor took over fast, coordinating meds and switching to neuro monitoring. The seizure finally stopped nearly 18 minutes after it began.
Jay collapsed into the chair beside her bed as they prepped her for a neuro ICU transfer.
Matt stayed close, a hand on Jay’s shoulder.
“She’s stable now,” Connor finally said. “It was a long one, but she’s coming around. We’re going to keep her overnight. Monitor for rebound activity.”
Jay nodded, emotion choking his throat.
Sam reappeared at the door, arms crossed. “You did good. Not every partner recognizes the onset cues like that. Most panic. You didn’t.”
Jay blinked in surprise at the rare praise.
“Don’t let it go to your head,” Sam added, smirking. “You’re still not invited to my poker night.”
As the doctors filed out, Kelly crouched beside Jay.
“You did everything right, man. She’s gonna be okay.”
Jay finally let out a breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding. Then he turned back to Y/N, brushing her hair back again.
“I’ve got you,” he whispered.
And through it all—he never let go of her hand.

Life Lines- Severide x Casey x reader
Summary: Multi-car pileups and morning sickness do not mix.
🚨Warnings: Illusion to people/ children dy!ng, possibly violent descriptions of vomiting, Needles mentioned. 🚨
🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
Calls with kids were always rough, but even worse since you found out you were pregnant. Right now, while you were pregnant at least, you are driving the truck and operating the aerial. You were to help ambo on any calls that did not impose a safety concern to you and the baby.
On this particular call, truck was called out to assist in a major car accident. Squad was tied down elsewhere, so you guys were it. Upon arrival, you all sucked in a huge breath.
“Holy shit.” Gallo muttered, staring right past your shoulder at the scene you were pulling the rig up to.
This was a multi-car pileup. Bodies were scattered around. Bystanders were helping wherever they could until help arrived, but you could tell some were a lost cause. As soon as you put the rig in park, the back cleared pretty quickly. Matt grabbed your arm from across the console.
“Hey.” Matt whispered, lightly rubbing a hand over your arm. “You can stay here or help ambo. No heavy lifting, okay?” Matt asked, slightly concerned with the paleness of your face.
You nodded, not daring to open your mouth. From your vantage point, you saw a small body in the street. As soon as you approached, your eyes landed on him and you knew that kid was in bad shape. It made you physically sick. You could tell he hadn’t been properly buckled, which means someone fucked up and that made you angry and sick all at the same time.
——————————————
Once the call was over, Matt decided that Mouch needed to drive back. The crew was extremely concerned by how pale you had gotten and Stella was in charge of keeping an eye on you on the ride back. Matt messaged Kelly, knowing that he was already back at the station, to give him a heads up and have him meet them on the app floor.
So, once Mouch had the rig still, Kelly was waiting for you to hop out of the rig and into his arms. What he wasn’t expecting, however, was for you to run past him and toward the bathrooms. He was quick on your heels, putting the situation together pretty quickly.
Once you were in one of the stalls, you immediately projectile vomited into the toilet. If it wasn’t for Kelly catching you around the waist and slowly guiding your ascent to the floor, you would have slammed onto your knees and possibly hit your belly on the way down.
“Oh baby.” Kelly exhaled, kneeling behind you and rubbing your back with the hand that wasn’t secured around your chest. “It’s okay. I’m here.”
Matt came barging in after you started heaving the second round into the toilet. “I knew something was up, God babe. I should have benched her.” Matt couldn’t fit in the stall and he was growing antsy as he stressed over your well being. He paced back and forth, rubbing the back of his neck as he pondered on what his next move should be. “You got her Kel?”
“Yeah.” Kelly said, lightly squeezing the back of your neck and holding you by the waist. “Can you get some water and a wash cloth? Maybe see if Brett is here and can get her some Zofran?”
“I’m on it. I’ll be right back sweetheart.” Matt called, running out the door and toward the ambo that was parked on the apparatus floor. He wasn’t sure if you could hear him, but it made him feel less like he was abandoning you when you needed him.
“Breathe baby girl. Just breathe.” Kelly murmured, rubbing your back slowly. He didn’t like the pallor of your face or the way you shook in his embrace. He wants nothing more than to have shielded you from this or to switch places with you.
You were sweating and very uncomfortable. The nausea was hitting you hard and in waves. You were still in the first trimester and the morning sickness had been killer, but this was insane. Your emotions were making this so much worse. You gasped around a heave, shaking and crying as your body fought to rid itself of everything in your system.
“Baby. I need you to try and calm down.” Kelly whispered. “It’s okay. Try to take some deep breaths for me. You can do it.” He coached, hoping to help calm you down some.
You nodded to show Kelly that you heard him. You were really trying and you were hoping that Matt would be back with that Zofran soon. Everything was spinning. You were vomiting less, but your stomach kept heaving. You held your forehead with one hand and clutched Kelly’s arm with the other. You were doing your best to ground yourself, but it was a slow, and almost hopeless, process.
Matt came back into the room as you started just dry heaving. He had a needle full of Zofran and an IV with a bag of fluids in the other. “Kelly.” Matt called, grabbing his attention for long enough to hand over the needle.
Kelly gave you the shot of Zofran, took the sick bag that Matt must of pulled out of his pocket and put it in your hand. Kelly guided you out of the stall and lifted you gently to sit you on the counter by the sink. Matt flushed the toilet before coming back to you and Kelly with the supplies from Brett in his arms. You had the sick bag under your chin and your forehead resting on Kelly’s shoulder. Every now and then, you would gag into the sick bag, causing your forehead to bump into Kelly’s collar bone, but he held you steady and comforted you through it.
“Sh Sh Sh. Breathe sweetheart.” Kelly whispered, kissing the crown of your head and rubbing your back. “It’s over. It’s okay.” Kelly turned his eyes to Matt in the mirror. Matt was chewing on his thumb nail and studying you. “What is it?” Kelly asked Matt, drawing Matt’s attention to him.
“There was this kid on the call.” Matt said, rubbing the back of his neck. “I think that’s what started this.”
You nodded into Kelly to confirm Matt’s suspicions. You were breathing a little slower now, practically melting into Kelly. You were exhausted and wanted nothing more than to go home and snuggle with your boys.
Kelly nodded and kissed your head again. Since Kelly was sure you were done, he offered you some water to rinse with and some mouth wash. Matt switcher places with Kelly then handed over the IV to let him get the line in, seeing as Matt was shaking from the adrenaline high he was coming down from and did not have steady hands at all. You have always been a hard stick to begin with, so Matt wanted to save you from the torture of him digging for a vein and just let Kelly do it.
You closed your eyes, turning your face into Matt’s neck while Kelly did his thing incase you opened your eyes. You knew you needed these fluids now, especially after that episode and with the shot you were given. You didn’t like it, but it had to be done. Plus, the faster you complied, the faster you could lay down.
After the IV was in and the fluids were started, Matt held the bag while Kelly helped you change out and get into some sweat pants. The boys led you to their office, which they now shared. They laid you down and Kelly set off to speak to Boden about the rest of shift.
Matt sat down next to your half asleep form, pushing the flyaways off of your face. “Better?” He whispered, looking you directly in the eyes.
You nodded and hummed your affirmation. You were exhausted. You were fighting to stay awake to see what the rest of the shift would bring.
Kelly walked back in a few minutes later and found Matt carding his fingers through your hair. “Hey. Chief said that he called subs in for all of us. We can go home after you finished the drip or stay and sleep.”
“It’ll be quieter at home.” Matt said, looking down at you again.
“I’m scared to sleep. I don’t want to see it.” You whispered, covering your face with your hands.
Matt sighed and started pulling your hands away from your face. “I know. We will be there though.” Matt soothed, rubbing your cheek with the pad of his thumb.
“Finish that and then we’ll go home. You and the baby need rest.” Kelly said, coming to sit next to you on the other side of the mattress. You nodded and reached for their hands, using them as your life lines.

Fix You-Part 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kelly Severide x Reader x Matt Casey/ Sevasey x Reader
You get sent to Firehouse fifty one as a temporary placement when a paramedic is needed. Your first day you meet the house Captain and Rescue Squad Lieutenant.
“Where’s your placement?” your sister asked as you balanced your phone between your ear and shoulder, trying to gather everything you needed to get out of the door. “Firehouse fifty one. They need a new partner for Brett after Dawson moved. I’ve worked with the rig in passing but this will pretty much be my first time working with the truck or rescue squad” you told her as you rushed out of your apartment, locking the door behind yourself.
You’d met with Chief Boden already along with Sylvie Brett but when you’d met with the two of them it had only been them. Today would be your official introduction as a temporary member of the house. You knew most of the firemen by name and face at the very least but you would be there for ten months. You’d hopefully build at least a few friendships.
You parked your truck across the street where Boden told you it was ok then grabbed your gear and headed over to the station house. Sylvie spotted you and stepped out of the bays to meet you halfway “Hey Y/N” you grinned “Sylvie! Glad you’re here already. I would’ve hated to walk into this without at least one friendly face at my side” she laughed and slipped her arm through yours “They’re not that bad, really”
You raised an eyebrow and she shrugged “Ok, well they’re not worse than any other house” you laughed “Now that I believe”
The two of you walked into the bays and you spotted a few men sitting around a table, one in a freaking recliner. “Who’s the grandpa?” you asked without thinking about it and when he turned around you wanted the floor to open up and swallow you. It was Squad Three Lieutenant Kelly Severide. A grin slipped onto his face as he stood up to face you “Who’s the spitfire Brett?”
You recovered from the embarrassment fast enough to smirk “Spitfire huh? I kinda like that. Name’s Y/N. I’m the temp paramedic here as a partner for Brett until Boden finds someone who’s a fit” he nodded as you held your hand out. He shook it then winked at you “Think I’ll stick with Spitfire, suits ya just fine”
Matt Casey, the house Captain, walked out behind him and put a hand on his shoulder “Is this idiot bothering you ladies?” you shook your head “My fault really, I called him a grandpa”
A grin split Matt’s face at that as he cut his eyes at Kelly, affectionately running his hand over the other man’s grey hair “Grandpa huh?” “Don’t you dare babe” Kelly replied then nodded at you “This is Y/N, the temp para but I think we’re gonna call her spitfire”
Matt looked back at you “Spitfire?” you shrugged “I like it” he nodded “Then it’s settled. Sylvie will show you around, get you a locker. If you need anything feel free to holler at me or Kelly” you nodded “Thanks”
Tumblr media
Within about a week or two  you were on a first name basis with everyone you were on shift with and knew everyone who worked out of the station house. It was a family of sorts and even though you were only a visitor they were welcoming you in with no hesitation.
“Why are you working as a temp?” Cruz asked one day when all of you were picking at breakfast before any calls had come in. You shrugged and sipped the coffee in your hands “Haven’t really found a house that fits me. This way I’m still doing what I love and helping houses that need it in the meantime” Kelly leaned back from where he was sitting across the room next to Matt and you knew the moment he grinned he was about to tease you “So you’re a stray sniffing around for a home?”
Matt slapped him behind the head then looked at you “I’m sorry. I’ve been trying to house train him for years but it hasn’t taken” you laughed as Kelly rubbed his head and cut his eyes at his boyfriend. “It’s fine Matt, he isn’t wrong really”  “Think you may stay here?” Sylvie asked and you shrugged, feeling very much like you were in the hot seat “I don’t know yet. I mean I like working here so far but it’s a little too soon to tell”
Matt met your eyes and you knew he could tell you were uncomfortable because he cleared his throat “That’s enough with the twenty questions” you shot him a small smile as a thank you as everyone turned their attention back to their food or other conversations.
A call rang out for a structure fire needing the truck, rescue and ambulance so everyone was on their feet and in motion, any semblance of breakfast long forgotten as you headed for the bays.
You ran past Matt and smiled “Thanks for that” he nodded so you hurried to hop into the driver’s seat of the rig as he ran to the truck and Kelly ran to the rescue squad. Sylvie cut her eyes at you as you fell into the line of vehicles as they pulled out onto the road “I think you’ll end up staying”  You laughed lightly “That you thinking or hoping Brett?” She shrugged “Little bit of both?”
Tumblr media
You walked into your apartment and considered for a second just crashing across your couch instead of making it to your bed but your phone chimed with a text from Sylvie We’re going to Mollys. You in?
You were tired but it was a friday and you were off the next two days…screw it. You texted back Meet ya in twenty? And she replied See you there!
____________________________
You walked into Mollys and spotted Sylvie sitting with a few women from med and the twenty first so you headed towards her. You smiled when Kim Burgess greeted you “How’s fifty one treating you?” you cut your eyes at Sylvie then nodded “Best partner I’ve had yet” and Sylvie grinned broadly. You looked around “Where is the rest of your unit Burgess?” she shrugged “Adam is currently retrieving our drinks, we got you one too. Jay and Mouse are over there in a booth with Fireball” she nodded and you saw the men in question with their girlfriend. You knew Fireball well, she was a trauma nurse at Chicago med. One of the best you’d seen. Probably from her time as a combat medic, from what you’d gathered that was how the three of them had met.
“Where’s the other two?” you asked and she grinned “Kevin has a date with that new nurse from med that just moved here from scotland and Firecracker stayed in tonight with Will and Connor”  you nodded as Adam made it back to the table carrying the drinks and passed them out, shooting you a smile “Here ya go spitfire. If it’s not right, blame your partner” you laughed “It’s fine Adam. A free drink is a free drink. Especially one I know I can trust”
____________________
You and Sylvie had Adam and Kim laughing about a call you responded to where a frat guy got his head caught in a stair railing. “He was breathing fine, not in distress but I swear it reminded me of something that would’ve happened in a movie from the eighties” you laughed around your drink.
You’d only drink two with alcohol then switched to soda but the company was good so you were still enjoying the night out. “There’s our medics” you heard Matt’s voice and cut your eyes up with a smile “Captain” he shook his head “We’re not at work, just call me Matt” you nodded “Ok Matt” Kelly grinned at you from next to him “And you always call me Kelly anyways” you laughed “That’s cause Matt always acts like a captain. You only act like a lieutenant when we’re actively on a call”
They nodded to the table “Can we join you four?” you shrugged and looked around. Sylvie shrugged and Adam patted the table “Sure” Kelly went to grab them drinks as Matt sat down next to you. “So, spitfire, how long is your contract for anyways?” you grinned “Trying to get rid of me already?” he raised an eyebrow so you grinned “Ten months unless I put in a request to stay. Boden said I’d have that option as soon as six months hit”
Sylvie gasped “You did not tell me that” you grinned “Because I don’t want the twenty question game to start back up” Matt shook his head “It won’t. I won’t let it” “Thank you” you replied and turned back to your previously abandoned conversation with Sylvie and Kim as Matt started talking to Adam then Kelly came back over and joined their conversation as well. Maybe you could find a place at Fifty one?
It was still a little soon to tell but it was starting to feel like home already.

Fandom/Characters: Chicago Fire - Matt Casey x Fem!Reader, Sylvie Brett, Stella Kidd, Kelly Severide, Blake Gallo, Wallace Boden, Christopher Herrmann, Joe Cruz, Darren Ritter
Word Count: 3.5k
Summary: You and Matt Casey had been secretly dating for a while, and it had gone smoothly since you worked at different firehouses. However, you were offered a job at 51 which despite seeming like a great idea, only made everything complicated.
Warnings: hurt/comfort, a bit of angst, a bunch of fluff, pet names, mention of anxiety, protective matt, kissing, happy ending
a/n: my first fic!!!!! (on tumblr that is lol) i used to write a lot on another platforms but haven't written for fun in forever (other than for school, ew lol.) so i might be a bit rusty so just yk excuse that until i get back into my flow :) anyways i hope you guys like it <3
Tumblr media
For the last three years, you've been working as a paramedic at Firehouse 20 alongside Violet Mikami. During that time, you've come to know Blake Gallo as a result of his on-and-off relationship with her. Although he's a great guy, what made him even greater is the person he introduced you to about a year ago— your boyfriend, Captain Matthew Casey of Firehouse 51.
Where could you possibly start? His mesmerizing, smile and his charming personality drew you in in an instant. You never realized how the occasional encounters, transformed into intimate late-night conversations. And before you knew it, those late-night talks grew into romantic dinners and memorable dates.
After months of both of you dancing around one another, he finally masked up the courage to ask you to be his girlfriend. Without a moment's hesitation, you instantly said yes.
Six months have passed since then. Both of you had mutually decided to keep it private for some time in order to prevent any interference with your jobs. The only individuals who had known were your respective Chiefs, just in case something happened.
Your Chief also knew you could handle a busier station such as 51. So, he had just offered you the vacant paramedic position that was left after Foster left for Med School.
Initially, you were excited about the offer because it meant working with your boyfriend. However, now you're uncertain about accepting it as you're not sure how he’d react. While you believe he'd be as thrilled as you are, there's this nagging feeling that it would complicate things.
So you decided to call him.
"Hey Matt," You said once he picked up.
"Hi babe, everything okay? You rarely call me during shift." He replied, voice laced with concern.
"Yeah, yeah, everything's fine." You assure him before nervously adding, "It's just... I have something to run by you...”
"Go ahead sweetheart, what's up?"
"You know how Foster left and ever since then there's been an open paramedic spot at 51 for a while now?"
He hums encouraging you to continue.
"Well, my Chief spoke to Boden and they both agreed that I could fill that spot if I wanted to."
"That's fantastic news!" He said excitedly. "Do you want to?"
You sighed. "I do want to. I think it would be nice to work with you and the experience of working at a busier station? That would benefit me, by a lot. I’d be able to learn so much."
"Then what's there to run by me? This is your decision Y/N." Matt questioned.
"It's your house! I don't want to interfere with the little family you all have built and make things complicated considering we'd be working together while dating and what if they take it the wrong way thinking I only got the spot because I'm with you-"
"Hey! Y/N, sweetheart, breathe." He says cutting off your rambling, trying to calm you down.
"What?" you ask, voice exasperated.
"Baby, no one's going to think anything like that. You're an amazing paramedic and you earned your spot because you're good at your job. Also, no one knows that we're together so they won't suspect a thing. We don't even have to tell them yet if you don't want to.” He said reassuringly before continuing, “And you wouldn't be interfering with anything, I can assure you that we'd all love to have you at 51. This is completely your choice though, so whether you want to transfer over here or not, you have my full support, regardless of what you decide."
You smile at Matt's words. "Thank you." You pause for a moment before resuming happily, "Okay I'm going to go tell Chief that I'm accepting the position! I'll talk to you later Matt."
"That's my girl." He says smiling before hanging up.
You swiftly head to your Chief's office and let him know that you completed the transfer paperwork and are ready to begin at 51 as soon as possible. He nods, smiling, and assures you that he will push the request forward.

It was now Monday. Which also happened to be the same day you started your first shift as the new paramedic of Firehouse 51.
God were you nervous.
You had spoken to Matt multiple times and he continuously reassured you that you had no reason to feel anxious because everyone would adore you. So why were you still panicking?
Matt liked you, Gallo liked you, and so did Boden after the short interview you two had.
You had also heard a lot about each of them through Matt, and they all sounded like wonderful people. So the odds of your new coworkers welcoming you with open arms were pretty high.
Yet despite your best efforts, you couldn't shake the feeling of anxiety that was coursing through your veins, leaving you a nervous wreck.
You let out a sigh, trying to calm your nerves as you approached the Firehouse. You bumped into Gallo on the way which instantly relieved your worries. Seeing a familiar face put your mind at ease, melting your fears away, even if it’s only for a moment.
The two of you engaged in an easy conversation as you walked into the building together.
Upon entering, you spotted a table near the rigs with several individuals seated around it. Gallo eagerly ushered you towards them, quickly introducing everyone.
"Squad, this is Y/N Y/L/N, our new paramedic!" He said as you smiled, waving at them.
Gallo then pointed at a tan, blue-eyed man who was sitting at the head of the table. "That's Lieutenant Kelly Severide. Head of Squad and those are his Squad members."
He quickly got up and shook your hand. "Nice to meet you Y/L/N."
You recognized him now. He was Matt's best friend, they'd been through thick and thin together. It was sweet actually, finally getting to put a face to the name you've been hearing so much about.
Gallo took his time introducing you to the other members of Squad, all of whom greeted you with kindness and respect.
As he slipped into conversation with them, you took the opportunity to excuse yourself and find your partner, Sylvie Brett, who you’d be spending most of your time with.
She stood out easily, being one of only two women in the house. You spotted her in the kitchen, chatting with another girl who you figured must be Stella, Severide's girlfriend. Matt had spoken to you about how amazing they were as a couple, and it always made you happy to hear about them. With a deep breath, you made your way over to them.
"Hi!" You smiled. "I'm the new paramedic here working with... Sylvie Brett?" You ask unsurly, turning your head to glance at the blonde hoping you're right.
"Yes, that's me! Hi!" She answered enthusiastically, hugging you. Matt had mentioned how sweet she was but the embrace still caught you by surprise. Regardless, you hugged her back, accepting the kind gesture. Once you pulled away you waved at the other woman who smiled back at you, introducing herself as Stella Kidd.
After conversing with them for some time and getting to know one another, you headed off to the officer quarters with the hope of seeing your boyfriend.
Once you approached the office that was referred to Matt Casey, you knocked.
"Come in." You heard so you stepped inside, closing the door behind you.
"Hi baby," You said, smiling at him. He looked up from his desk, features softening as he noticed you.
"How's my favorite girl doing?" He asked standing up to give you a brief kiss on the cheek.
"I'm great! Everyone here is so nice and fun to talk to. They've all been so welcoming." You answered excitedly.
"See, I told you everyone would love you. What's there not to?" He asked rhetorically, making you smile as he placed his hands on your waist pulling you in closer. Matt's inability to keep his hands to himself never fails to make you laugh. It was all quickly forgotten though when he drew you in for a more passionate kiss when he noticed that there weren't any prying eyes on you.

As time passed, days turned into weeks, and before you knew it, you had seamlessly become a part of them. Each member of the group welcomed you with open arms, and it felt like you had found your place within the close-knit family they had formed at 51. It seemed like you had found a lasting bond and a sense of belonging with everyone there, envisioning a permanent future among them.
You became good friends with Sylvie and Stella, established a nice mentorship with Hermann, and created a sibling-like bond with Severide.
Most importantly though, to your knowledge, no one had suspected your relationship with Matt.
You wanted to say something, you really did. You didn't want him to think you were ashamed of being with him. But you didn't want the people you had grown so close to to think that you were only offered the position because of your relationship with him; even if you were confident that they weren't the type of people to believe that.

It was an ordinary day. You and Sylvie had just returned from responding to a call— nothing too serious, just tending to a man who had been cut by a broken mirror. Together with Sylvie, you bandaged him up and sent him to Med for stitches, wishing him a speedy recovery.
You were restocking the ambulance when Sylvie spoke up, "So, did you see the way that guy looked at you?"
You almost choked on your spit at her statement, not expecting it. "How did he look at me?"
"Oh c'mon- there were literally hearts in his eyes every time you spoke up while bandaging him!" She exclaimed a bit too loudly making you shush her.
"Who had hearts in his eyes?" Matt chimed in as he walked up to you and Brett, joining your conversation.
"No one," You say brushing him off but Sylvie interjects. "This guy we were helping earlier, he totally had the hots for our new paramedic over here." She said, nudging you with her arm in a teasing manner.
"Oh, did he?" Matt asked in a tone that sounded like he was joking but you could see the way his body tensed.
"It's whatever, nothing serious. It's not like I'm going to go on a date with him." You roll your eyes trying to dismiss the situation.
"You should!" Sylvie replies happily, "You're pretty and single. He wasn't bad on the eyes either, if you know what I mean. Go have some fun girl! Who knows, he could be the love of your life." She adds, winking.
Matt gave a half-hearted smile and walked away without acknowledging Brett, leaving her looking up in confusion. "What was that about?" She asked.
"No idea," You say shortly, despite knowing exactly what was going on.
Matthew Casey was jealous.
It was quite surprising because he had never shown signs of being the jealous type. In the past, if another man approached you in his presence, he would politely ask them to leave you alone, making it clear that you were already taken. Or he’d simply put his arm around you in a protective, not-so-friendly manner, letting everyone know that you were his. It never bothered you. You found it cute, actually.
But this? This was different. He had never acted this way, which concerned you.
After you were done restocking the ambo you made your way to his office, hoping to ease the tension.
You sighed as you knocked, hearing a quick come-in before stepping inside. You noticed he had his head buried in paperwork, not even acknowledging you as you came in.
"Matt, honey, what's wrong?" You asked, worried when he still didn't look up at you. You waited for a moment before continuing once he didn't reply, "Baby talk to me."
He sighs before finally looking into your eyes. His ocean blues never failed to make you weak in the knees. So intimidating but beautiful nevertheless.
"I don't want to keep this a secret any longer." He eventually replied, motioning between the two of you.
"I don't want to either but you know we can't."
"Why can't we?" He said, tone a bit sharp, causing you to flinch for a second.
"Because-" you were cut off by a knock on Matt's door making you straighten up.
"Sorry to interrupt, but there's someone here to see you Y/N." Said Severide as he poked his head into Casey's office letting you know before heading out.
You quickly glance at Matt sighing before leaving his office, silently apologizing. You hated leaving mid conversation but this could be important. You noticed him trailing behind you as you walked out but chose not to comment on it.
Once you were outside, you recognized him as the man you had sent to Med earlier. The same man who had 'the hots' for you apparently, according to Brett.
This was going to be a long conversation.
"Hello!" He said, way too ecstatic for someone who had just been discharged from a hospital.
"Hi there, how are you feeling?" You asked, keeping the conversation polite.
"Better thanks to you, you saved my life."
"Oh, you know, no big deal! Just doing my job."
"Well, I was hoping to take you out on a date as a way of saying thank you." He said with confidence, catching you off guard.
"I'm very flattered sir but you don't need to thank me, let alone take me out on a date. I'm happy to help, love what I do." You say, hoping that gets rid of him.
By now, you were fully aware that most of the members of the firehouse were watching the interaction occur from behind you. Hence why you were aiming to wrap it up as soon as possible.
"No, no, I insist. We'll have a great time together!" He pushes.
"Like I said, thanks for the offer but I'm going to have to decline. Feel better." You say, turning around.
Before you had a chance to walk away, he grabbed your wrist harshly. Pulling you backward, making you lose your balance, and almost causing you to fall.
"Woah woah woah-" "Back off!" You hear the men hurriedly interject pushing him away from you before Matt yells, in a tone that sends shivers down your spine. "Get your hands off of my paramedic before I call the authorities. You have no right to touch her, especially after she said no."
Boden hears the commotion and steps out of his office. "What's going on over here?"
"This man put his hands on Y/N after she rejected him Chief. He was just leaving though weren't, you?" Matt replies, glaring at the man making him quickly walk away.
The second that he was out of sight, everyone turned to you. Stella speaks up, "Are you okay?"
"Don't worry guys, I'm fine." You say looking around at all of them, reassuring them that you're okay. "Thanks for the help. I'm sure he won't be coming back any time soon, especially after the way Casey glared at him." You add chuckling, trying to lighten the tense atmosphere around you.
"You'd almost think you guys were dating with the way he attacked him to defend you," Severide commented casually, using a tone that sounded like he knew something. Which you decided to ignore for the time being.
At the mention of your boyfriend though, you looked up hoping to catch a glimpse of him but noticed he was nowhere to be found which alarmed you.
As the crowd dispersed and engaged in their own conversations, you discreetly slipped away and made your way to visit Matt in his quarters, marking this as your second visit there in the last half hour.
This time though, you didn't even bother knocking and simply walked in.
When he noticed it was you, he quickly stood up concerned, “Are you okay? Did he hurt you?”
“Oh, I'm alright. Don't worry, it was nothing I hadn't dealt with before in this line of duty, you know how men can be sometimes.” You answered, nonchalantly.
You both stayed quiet for a moment, not knowing what to say. Finally, you decided to break the silence, “I'm sorry, Matt. I don't want to argue with you, so if it'll make you happy, we can go tell them right now.”
He sighed, turning around in his chair to look at you, “Y/N, this isn't just up to me, we’re in this relationship together. We have to make decisions like these as a team. I love you and I want everyone to know that but if you're not taking this seriously and want to go on that date instead then-”
“No! This is serious to me Matt, I love you and you know that.” You cut him off before he's able to finish the sentence. “I have eyes for you and only you, no one else matters to me but you, Matthew Casey.” You add firmly, making sure he understands that.
“Then what’s the issue here?” He asks, tired of the constant back and forth you've been having today.
You sigh and sit down on the edge of his bed before replying, “I just- I've become so close to everyone here in the last few weeks and I don't want their opinion of me to change after they find out that you and I are together. I don't want them to think that I'm only here because of you.”
“Baby…” He says in a softer tone, getting out of his seat to come sit next to you.
You don't look at him once he's sat beside you, opting to look at the floor instead.
“Hey, look at me.” He gently says taking your hands in his, grabbing your attention.
You hum as you bring your eyes up to meet his.
When he's sure you're not going to look away, he starts speaking, “Listen to me, everyone here? They're the most amazing and supportive group of people you'll ever meet. They won't dare say anything of the sort because they'd be beyond happy for us. And if they slightly even think about it, I won't hesitate to go all ‘Captain’ on them.” He says, making you chuckle.
“Besides, I don't want idiots like that guy who can't take no for an answer, hurting you again for a nonexistent chance of taking you out.” He adds.
You lean forward, pressing your forehead against his, and after a moment passes, you mutter a simple, “Okay.”
“Okay?” Matt questions.
“Yeah, okay, let’s tell them.” You reply, nodding enthusiastically.
“I want everyone to know that this handsome man right here,” You say pointing at his chest with a teasing tone, “Is of the market and mine only.”
“Yeah?” He grins.
“Mhm,” You say with an even bigger smile, before leaning in to press your lips against his.
As your lips finally touch, a wave of stillness washes over you. It feels as though the entire world has come to a halt and all that exists is the shared connection between the two of you. At that moment, nothing else matters except for the feeling of his lips against yours.
His delicate hand caresses your face, making you smile into the kiss as you pull him in closer, wrapping your arms around his neck. There's no need to hide your love for each other anymore, allowing your affection for one another to be expressed freely without the fear of secrecy. The rush of emotion flowing through you is intoxicating and God, it is an exhilarating feeling, one that you had never felt before.
Before the kiss could progress any further, you heard cheering outside making you pull away. You glance out the window to understand what the fuss is about when you notice that the blinds were left open, meaning that all of 51 just saw you kissing Matt.
Your cheeks flush with warmth, causing you to bury your face in Matt's shoulder as he laughs at your reaction. He wraps his arm around you, pulling you closer in a tight embrace.
You look up at him, mouthing an ‘I love you,’
He whispers back, “I love you too.”
He quickly leans in for one more peck against your lips, before bracing himself for all the questions you're about to receive once you head outside.

“You guys were betting on us?” You asked amused, raising your eyebrows at the exchange of money happening right in front of your eyes.
“Well, what were we supposed to do!?” Cruz exclaimed defensively, earning a giggle from you.
“I mean, we all knew you guys were head over heels for each other, that was obvious. We just didn't realize you had been together prior to all of this.” Added Ritter, shrugging.
“I can speak for everyone though when I say that we are all very happy for you two.” Said Herrmann, making everyone nod in agreement.
As soon as the initial stage of shock died down, Stella and Sylvie rushed over to you, enveloping you in a group hug, requesting all the juicy details. While Kelly simply gave Matt a supportive pat on the back, smiling at his best friend.
Soon, the questions regarding your relationship began pouring in. Matt drew you closer, wrapping his arm around your waist as he answered each of them one by one. You rested your head on his shoulder, closing your eyes briefly, basking in the serenity.
And at last, you found yourself finally feeling at ease. Your family knew, and they were happy for you. Which is all you could ask for.
