Wukong is the kind of person who is hard to get over. So. Um. Maybe. Maybe the Chief might. But it's gonna take a long, long time.
To the Chief, Wukong is meant to be this havoc causing, destruction making terror to all three realms. And to be honest, so long as Wukong is passive, the Chief just can't- they can't wrap their head around it. Where is the Wukong he they used to know?

As for these?

Those are entirely good points! There would have been an element of loyalty in there (can't imagine Macaque would bother to stick around or work for someone without at least some kind of dedication). He would have followed her for a reason. Maybe he'd given up and decided that there was rationality in LBD's idea to end it all and start anew. Or maybe she promised him something in exchange for his help, and he agreed. He doesn't like her. He thinks he doesn't like her. But he stayed with her anyway because, who else is there?
A part of me thinks that, post-S3, Macaque would actually feel... betrayed. Not in the same way he feels about Wukong in canon but- it's complicated. He spent so much time for her, and for what she wanted, that now that she's gone... it feels like it was an absolute waste of time. He didn't get what he wanted in the end, and now there's the rest of eternity he has to live through. Just more time he has to waste, not knowing what to do with himself.

Poor guy is in shock. Quick, someone splash him with a bucket of water and blow dry him back into reality.
But yeah! Chief would help him... in a way. Two disasters equals a bigger disaster but ehhh at least they have each other. They're all they have left.
