"Thorne" is a cool surname for Grey Warden Rook.
There's a dagger in DA:O called Thorn of the Dead Gods, which is Grey Warden-themed.
Item description: "No simple blades, these daggers date back to the time of the First Blight. They were crafted in the Tevinter Imperium as weapons to fight against the darkspawn horde, and fell in battle with the mages that first wielded them."
It's associated with Codex Entry: Thorn of the Dead Gods -
"In the moment that it struck, the blade of the Grey Warden who killed Toth, Archdemon of Fire, shattered into three pieces. After the Battle of Hunter Fell, the Wardens carried their fallen brother to Weisshaupt for a hero's burial, but the broken pieces of his sword were left behind. For years, the shards lay forgotten on the battlefield. Steel became etched with the corrupted blood of the dead god. They were eventually discovered by a Nevarran woman, searching among the bones for a sign of her lost son. She sold them to a blacksmith, not knowing what they truly were, for ten bits. The smith, however, knew that he had purchased more than scrap metal, and fashioned the shards into three identical daggers: the Thorns of the Dead Gods. They left his hands and were scattered to the far corners of Thedas. But everywhere they went, the Thorns left misery and loss in their wake. The woman who unearthed them died soon after of plague. The smith fell into his forge. Each person who has held one of the Thorns, even briefly, has died an untimely death."

I started watching She-Ra after s5 came out and I kept my friends updated as I went, so here’s a master post of my notes bc I wanted to have them all in one place somewhere
halfway through s1:
I would hang out with Adora all day long
Glimmer must be protected at all costs
I stg it's like Bow was created specifically for me
Shadow Weaver needs to stop being so mean to Catra yesterday
the only cadet whose name I know is Kyle? why
Madame Razz is so great
Perfuma is immediately gay for She-Ra and that's great
Mermista is immediately gay for She-Ra and Seahawk has no idea
I need more Scorpia in my life
Entrapta is such a nerd and I don't care that she can't be trusted
end of s1:
Shadow Weaver's mind games were too much dude 😥
stuff I already knew about Princess Prom (Catra's dope outfit, Noelle & Molly's cameos) only made me love it more
even though I knew something was up my knee-jerk response was indeed "oh shit they cooked Entrapta"
I remember what it was like to be a kid w/ rough parental relationships but damn Glimmer talk to your mom already
the holodeck is NOT messing around
HOLY SHIT SWIFT WIND CAN TALK
Entrapta truly is Chaotic Neutral huh
Netossa and Spinnerella didn't get their own intro episode like the other princesses because why?
Scorpia continues to be wonderful
end of s2:
Frosta as a reflection of s1 Glimmer is great
Swift Wind sings and I can't get enough
when She-Ra looks into the robot and says "hey Catra" I practically had chills
all of the ghost stories Adora heard in the Horde were princess-themed, which is so funny
I LOVE Glimmer's edgy anime/noir take on the fort battle plan AND Bow's 80s-inspired version
I learned the names of the other cadets and IMMEDIATELY forgot
Scorpia really loves Catra, and I almost wish Catadora wasn't endgame??
young Glimmer's dad is voiced by Ezra Bridger
I love Bow's dads (and what a bad actor Adora is lol)
end of s3:
the whole castle only having one spare room is funnier to me than the castle not having a dungeon
Adora sees Huntara's muscles and is very gay
the cropped jacket Catra took really completes her look and I love it
the jacket with the sleeves ripped off really completes Scorpia's look and I love it
everything in the back half of the season is SO intense 😱
oh shit, do I ship Entrapta and Hordak?
I never knew how much I needed a buddy cop adventure with Adora and Scorpia
Angella saying goodbye to Micah was heartbreaking
halfway through s4:
did they just not have a funeral for Angella before Glimmer's coronation? no wonder it was so hard for her
having the shapeshifter character be agender is a master stroke
did Double Trouble just make up Flutterina? if so, how did they infiltrate the party without the whole town going "umm, we don't know who this is?”
why is no one vetting what plants Shadow Weaver can and can't grow?
lbr we should have had a bottle episode with the cadets in s1 or 2
Scorpia's episode broke my heart
end of s4:
Mermista playing detective was a lot of fun
Bow, Swift Wind, and Seahawk on their own is a perfect recipe for disaster and I want more
I feel terrible for poor Razz 😢
Scorpia feeling accepted in Bright Moon even as a prisoner literally made me cry there I said it
MICAH
Light Hope and HAL 9000 would be such a power couple
do Netossa and Spinnerella just not matter? there are only 5 princesses connected to the weapon
holy Shards of Narsil!!!
halfway through s5:
Horde Prime's broadcast across Etheria gave me some Battle of Hogwarts Voldemort vibes (bc art does not exist in a vacuum which is fine)
seeing the supporting cast on a mission of their own was SO GREAT (loving Mermista's leadership and how Scorpia is just part of the team now)
Corridors was SO GOOD
holy crap Ahsoka Tano and Amy Santiago are in She-Ra
Save the Cat was SO GOOD and made me VERY EMOTIONAL
I love Swift Wind's song on the way to Elberon and OH NO SPINNERELLA
end of s5:
everyone's outfits for the Prince Peekablue mission were great (also HOLY SHIT that shot of Scorpia's back 🤯 )
Melog really took one look at Catra and went "yup I'm a cat forever now"
Wrong Hordak learning how to wink is so pure
I legitimately gasped when Netossa cut Bow's bowstring 😅
Adora's immediate snark when Catra jumped through fire to save her 😂😂😂
GLIMBOW
BBEG getting bested by the power of love usually feels tired & lame but holy balls She-Ra fucking earned it, Catadora is SO GOOD
TL;DR I had a really good time marathoning the show, Noelle really made something magical, and I can officially add it to the list of things I wish I could have experienced in real-time

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) dir. Peter Jackson. 7.4/10
Crazy to make a whole civilization into a fortress.
Concept of signal beacons makes a lot of sense to me.
Love the concept of kill counts.
I was bothered, in this movie, by Frodo, Sam, and Denethor.
Damn all those skulls falling were crazy.
I don’t like Aragorn with his hair back.
I was getting gay vibes from all the hobbits.
Memorable Quotes: “Night changes many thoughts.”
Spoiler: [About Smeagol killing his brother after he finds the ring. He then becomes Gollum after isolating himself in the mountains. We are back in the present. Legolas, Gimli, Gandalf, and Aragorn find Merry and Pippin again. They go to Saruman for information until Wormtongue kills Saruman, who falls off the tower and is impaled. He drops a ball that connects to Sauron. Wormtongue was killed by an arrow from Legolas. Pippin steals the ball from Gandalf in the night to look at it and connects with Sauron. He learns of Sauron’s plan to destroy Minas Tirith of Gondor. Gandalf and Pippin ride together and head there. Arwen sees a future where she has a son and goes back to her father to learn what he knows. She decides to lead the life of a mortal. Minas Tirith is run by Boromor’s father, Denethor. He won’t allow Aragorn back as king and isn’t ruling properly. The king of Angmar aka the leader of the nine Nazgul is leading the army of orcs. He is also the one who had stabbed Frodo. Pippin and Gandalf aren’t welcomed by Denethor so they secretly light the signal beacons asking Rohan for aid. Rohan agrees. Smeagol is guiding Sam and Frodo and they climb the stairs leading into Mordor. Gollum throws away their food in secret and gets Frodo to distrust Sam. Sam is sent home eventually and Smeagol abandons Frodo as he gets attacked by a large spider, Shelob. He manages to push Gollum down a cliff and he escapes the spider until it bites him and wraps him up in web. When Sam sees the disposed food at the bottom of a cliff, he goes back for Frodo and saves him after he’s taken by some orcs. Arwen had her father reconnect the sword shards of King Elendil’s sword, Narsil, and he delivers it to Aragorn. This allows him to go to the forgotten mountain people, who owe a debt to the king of Gondor. They are dead, ghostly men who agree to fight for him after he pledges that he will release them from their curse after fighting. Faramir is sent to fight and comes back almost dead. Denethor believes him to be dead and begins to light themselves both on fire after telling all the soldiers to flee for their lives. Gandalf and Pippin get soldiers back to fighting as they save Faramir and Denethor falls off a cliff as he’s on fire. The city is being invaded by the orcs and the fighting begins. Eowyn is secretly joining the fight with her uncle’s troops and brought Pippin with her. Theoden gets wounded by the Nazgul leader and Eowyn slashes off the head of the Nagul. Eowyn and Pippin work together and kill the king of Angmar. The Army of the dead show up and destroy the remainder of the army. They are then released by Aragorn. Frodo and Sam get through Mordor and try to sneak through the Orc Army. They almost get caught once, but get through, but Frodo’s suffering from the weight of the ring and they are getting weaker from hunger and thirst. Sam ends up carrying Frodo. Aragorn keeps the eye of Sauron on him and his army so that Frodo can get through even though the orcs claim that Frodo is dead since they are in hold of his vest. Their army fights and gets Sauron’s army to slowly empty Mordor. Sam and Frodo make it to the mountain and as Frodo holds the ring above the lava, he decides to keep it. Gollum appears and bites it off his finger. They fight and Gollum falls into the lava with the ring. The ring melts. Sam saves Frodo from falling off the cliff. The volcano erupts and Mordor falls. Gandalf saves Frodo and Sam using eagles. They are then healed. Everyone is reunited. Aragorn is now King of Gondor. He has everyone including himself bow down to the hobbits. He also weds Arwen. The hobbits go back to the shire. Frodo finishes his part of Bilbo Baggins’s story. Sam weds Rosie Cotton. Frodo leaves with Bilbo, Gandalf, and the elves to the undying lands after to heal from his wounds. They say goodbye to the hobbits. Sam has two children. Sam is left with the book of the Baggins.]
