Okay so if Donella is basically unable to use or be affected by magic in any way, then what if Ulla was the opposite? I always found it weird how Donella was the one to trap Ulla in the library, cause like. when would she have the time to trap her. she's gathering her troops, so she's a bit busy.

SO, to fix this, I decided that as a side affect of keeping Donella out and away, Ulla begun to rely on magic to continue living. She's technically half-alive though. She doesn't have a complete physical form, so she often appears see-through and its really disturbing.

The way she learns she can possess things is when she's reading a book and she's not able to focus, so she thinks if she possesses it, she'll just absorb all the knowledge. It works, but it makes her feel incredibly sick (not like she can feel sick anymore), and she didn't learn a thing about the book. So when she possesses Varian, she can't access his thoughts or anything.

She kinda destroyed/shut down the portal after throwing Donella out, but she knows that she's practically bound to the library, so if the library was ever unlocked again, she knew that if she left, she'd just disintegrate. Possessing Varian would probably be easier than possessing anyone else, because another of my HCs (that I may have stole from VTT) is that Var has a slight connection to the moonstone, and it's easier to possess magical things if you are magic. The same does not apply with proper ghosts, as seen in s1 with Ruth.

The library would also stop working properly for Ulla, mainly because it didn't like her, but also because she was living off of too much unstable magic, making the whole library unstable. Really putting into perspective how powerful Ulla is.

Medical misogyny is. Fucking unreal.

For years, my sister has been having these problems that every doctor she's seen has claimed are 'panic attacks due to your anxiety'. The symptoms have been serious and frightening enough that they felt they had to do SOMETHING, so for more than twelve years they have put her on psych med after psych med, sent her to what felt like every variety of therapy out there, suggested fucking- calming aromatherapy sachets. Experimental meds! They tried her out on stuff that they're like 'We have yet to see how patients under sixteen react to this, but it could potentially help you, so let's try, shall we?' And when things inevitably went badly, she said that months later, she'd see advertisements for the meds on tv suddenly listing the side effects she'd gone to the ER for. The ones that the doctors had apparently never seen before.

Years of medication. Spent all of high school alternating between fuzzy thoughts, sleepingwalking through life like a zombie and having intense bad-reaction-to-medication breakdowns. Her classmates would be angry at her for things that she literally could not remember because some of the things the doctors gave her would just erase chunks of time. Over a decade of therapy. Nothing has EVER worked. No matter what they gave her, she just kept having these strange and terrifying episodes, complete with intense, uncontrollable physical reactions that they insisted stemmed from her anxiety, and that would stop when they finally found the right psych med, or when she just tried hard enough in therapy.

...and it turns out, this whole time she had an untreated seizure disorder.

They never. In all the time she's asked for help. Bothered to check if it was a physical problem. Because they saw 'female' and heard 'anxiety' and decided it was all in her head.

I am just. At a loss for words.

Scoria and Sakura are best friends! It's so cute when I see the things they do together, and it makes me so beyond happy that they both came to live with me so that they could share their lives with each other. They absolutely insist on it, and does so much good for the other.

I can't imagine how else they could have found happiness if things hadn't worked out exactly as they did. Scoria has basically been Sakura's "emotional support snake" while she worked through things from her past I'll never fully know that caused her a lot of issues with panic and fear. Sakura knows this too, and looks out for her sister, the only one she truly trusts and feels completely safe with.

The moment they wake up they both want each other to snuggle and play with. Scoria loves to be affectionate with both me and her sister who seems to have not had this earlier in her life- but Scoria is showing her how nice it is not only directly but demonstrating with me and Sakura also trying, copying what she has seen her sister do.

Sometimes when one goes to check on the other they'll join in on... I'm not even sure what they were doing. But they had a good time while taking a mandated union break from digging tunnels for the isopods.

So happy I get to share in the adventures of these two best friends! It makes me so happy to see them living their best lives together, and being beyond content snuggled together with their found family.

I think that Orym actually does doubt Imogen, but this isn't a thing that is unique to Imogen. Orym doubts all of them to an extent, because paranoia is something he struggles with (and this is continuously reinforced by the story).

It's not a 'good' thing that he should never get over, nor is it an immoral character flaw that proves he actually hates Imogen. However it's also not something I think he can get over as long as the threat of having to possibly fight his friends exists.

You know...I made the mistake of watching reacts of the KPDH movie, and I was like. Where's the critical thinking and watching comprehension? Or maybe it's just me who's hallucinating. But anyway, imma rant because I don't think the point of this movie was another "let's throw away our ideologies because they're wrong" more than. Well...

First of all. I like what they did with Rumi's arc. I like how they incorpotated the songs to tell the stories the spoken/visual narrative couldn't - because songs are really effective ways to incorporate exposition and an emotional punch at the same time that may be important to the plot without overshadowing it. How It's Done was a way of showing them as cool, effective, professional, confident ladies juxtaposed against their silly normalcy of being gals who like to eat and be silly. Golden was delivering the emotional journey of Zoey and Mira's stories that the beginning scene had set up through the fan's reactions, as well as telling us both Rumi's past, her sense of home with the HUNTR/X members, yet secret shame that she felt would be dissolved through this family she'd made with the girls. Soda Pop was the Saja Boys' introduction and really well thrown into the story with the fans' reactions, the ladies' reactions, and their general vibe. And so on.

Anyway, what that was meant to say was that, they set up Rumi to be confident and feel at home with her girls - even the little flashback to Rumi wanting to tell the girls but Celine reinforcing her sense of shame about it told us how close she was to the other HUNTR/X members. How it really was the insecurities and lies she'd been thrown and nothing Zoey and Mira done that made her unwilling to spill her shame. The switch from Golden to Takedown was a good example of that, anyway - from belonging with the HUNTR/X girls to her worst, secret fears coming true. And the relief that it really wasn't them temporarily had overshadowed her own shame about her marks before their hurt and confusion brought it back.

As much as the romantic undertones between Rumi and Jinu, and the whole revelation of how demons come to be, do carry a good weight to the story, setting up the theme of things not always being what they seem...we saw the demons eat everyone on the train. Rumi didn't question everything they stood for - because the scene with her asking Celine to kill her showed that she was here to protect, not hate and destroy. What she questioned was that hatred/shame of the self that she saw in Jinu reflected in her own self and perpetuated by Gwi-ma (and Celine. They are foils, except Celine is carrying on a cycle while Gwi-ma began it). She wondered, "hey....maybe demons can be more than the nature of their destructive, soul-stealing thing"...and Jinu's betrayal shattered that ideal and reinforced that, oh....demons are actually bad an maybe it was a matter of time before she went bad. And yet Celine's refusal to kill her and simultaneous rejection of that demon part of her probably unlocked something that Zoey and Mira had unconsciously fought with their acceptance. It WAS a moment of clarity for Rumi, who right now had lost everything but was still the confident and practiced professional the movie had set her up to be.

She still had her ideals to protect and an apology for hiding from her friends to give, so she went back and found that they accepted her and related to her (and that's what we hear in the lyrics of What It Sounds Like), as well as forgiving her and vibing their own apology back (because it was also set up that despite them being taught to hate demons, they were all in it for their fans and to protect the world from having their freaking soul being stolen to the giant fire demon in the underworld. And having their hatred shattered and questioned and shaken, they still had that fire to protect....maybe not through hatred this time, but through the unity of hearts that the honmoon had always been powered by). And anyway, the girls are always quick to get back on their feet - How It's Done Showed them pummelling those demons and still delivering a banger concert, the makeup scene covering their scars was also another once tbh, and composing lyrics together showed their strong connection and dynamic, etc. The bath house scene is where they can process it all and just ugly cry about it, anyway.

So yeah. Movie's theme was less about "maybe not everyone is bad and everything we stood for is wrong" (again. Rumi isn't stupid. She saw the demons swallow up people's souls during the train scene, even after wondering about it briefly in that one scene during the Takedown BG) and more about unity and self-acceptance, as well as hope and redemption. Less about the morality of people groups and more about the self, how you do not have to be your past and how you can reclaim and redefine it instead. About replacing a protection through hatred with a protection based on unity. Jinu's sacrifice and redemption came after he had once again fallen into his old patterns of leaving people behind because he finally saw proof of someone who did not let a shame she'd only just learned the full extent of break her and send her back into a cycle of hiding.

But, man....sometimes a theme isn't about questioning millennia-held ideologies and more restructuring/rediscovering their original or true depth. The honmoon wasn't a bad idea. Protecting people from demons and gwi-ma wasn't a baseless thing. Even thinking demons were evil wasn't baseless, as Gwi-ma really did gaslight his entire hoard of people to do terrible things, pushing them deeper and deeper into a hole they'd stumbled into in a moment of weakness (and the madung probably had no way of really knowing that until Jinu). And the discovery of the last part, as well as Rumi's heritage, shook everyone...but it didn't make the foundations of good intentions and actually valid necessities crumble.

Aaaand, with that, I'm done with my long-winded and nonsensical ramble.

OH YEAH. okay one thing I DO want to talk about from Skyfall. That I think we should be talking about more. is the "he went into the priest hole for TWO (2) DAYS" thing.

I had like. known that was A Thing, but ig didn't see or forgot what it looked like. but the first look at it I was like. whoa. this is.... how do I say. like there's something visceral and primal and primitive about it just being bare rock. and I made a comment about how insane that is, and esp seeing the mine/cave-like rock and the thought of TWO DAYS down there.. that it's sth "like returning to some sort of primordial earthly womb (tomb)"

but then later they showed that the priest hole is NOT just like a bolthole. but a whole-ass tunnel system!!! EXTRA wild! what was Bond doing down there? WHERE exactly was he in the priest hold then? Was he hunkered down in some corner? Was he wandering around the caves like some sort of primordial spectre.

also there's something interesting/cool about it being like. seemed like it was just going to be a bolthole, and then they revealed it was this whole-ass tunnel system. Skyfall has a lot of maze/hidden/hiding symbolism, and there's something interesting about there being this, like. hidden earthly labyrinth at the heart/hearth/underneath Skyfall.

also the idea of baby Bond wandering a stone labyrinth under the very bones of his ancestral home after the death of his parents... and the whole when he came out he wasn't a boy anymore or whatever it was exactly Kincade said.... hmmm......... Minotaur? Minotaur vibes perhaps? I think there is something here- I think there's something to be said about hidden monstrosity/adversity bringing out monstrosity in us, plus the whole nature/nurture question of like, Bond and HIS "nature," was he born brutal or was he made brutal

(by his career, by his forging as a 00 agent, by M's machinations-- speaking of machinations. but okay god the way she. Manages him... I DO think there's a lot of interesting parts throughout the movies but there was a particular moment in Skyfall when she was like. hunt them down. for Ronson. like ggngng that was like. the emotional equivalent of those loop/stick leashes they use to capture stray dogs.... lowering the loop around his neck and tightening... and then once it's tightened she can move him around cuz it's a stick and not just a rope leash, she can literally physically lead him...) (and also the nature/nurture question of Silva's rats thing)

Don't get me wrong, Nesta is the one in the worst position, of course she's suffering a lot too. But while she's at it, my girl is gonna do her damn best to make Rhysand wish he was dead. He's going to pull his hair and curse himself for not having left her in the woods to die.

For starters, he can't read her mind, or even spell her, something that sets him off greatly. His most lethal weapons, the one he relies on the most to scheme and shit, are useless against her. So he has to work harder and make actual effort to play his games with Nesta. And she makes it as excruciatingly difficult for him as she can.

Nesta is currently on the mindset that "if i can't leave, at least i'll make you miserable while on it".

Fallout New Vegas Lucky 38 Presidential Suite Sleeping Arrangement Headcanons:

I've been thinking about how the sleeping arrangement would work, since there are only three beds and six couches in the Lucky 38’s Presidential Suite.

Here’s what I imagine:

Veronica Santangelo and Rose of Sharon Cassidy:

In the smaller bedroom to the left, Veronica and Cass share this bed together. Veronica is used to sleeping close to someone since she grew up in a bunker. While Cass has slept in worse conditions while traveling for her caravan work. So neither mind sharing.

Sometimes sleeping next to Cass makes Veronica think of Christine.

If Cass is up late drinking or can’t sleep (she finds the Lucky 38 creepy) then she’ll drink until she's knocked out. Sleeping on one of the empty couches or while sitting at the kitchen table.

Lily Bowen:

Lily sleeps by herself on the bed next to Veronica and Cass'. Since she's too large to use a couch and takes up an entire bed by herself. Everyone has woken up before to Lily listening to the holotape of her grandchildren, but no one is ever bothered by it. Lily has also tucked everyone at least once into bed.

Craig Boone:

Boone ALWAYS sleeps on the couch. He’s used to sleeping in uncomfortable positions due to his NCR work, so he doesn’t mind. I think he'd also feel guilty taking a bed. Also, he doesn't want to share a bed with anyone else because the last person he did that with was Carla.

He usually likes the couch next to the pool table since it faces the Lucky 38's elevators. However, if Cass falls alseep there after drinking a little too much, then Boone will take a different couch.

Rex:

Rex changes where and who he sleeps every night, but whenever he sleeps with Boone it’s like this:

Raul Tejada, Arcade Gannon and My Courier Six:

Raul, Arcade and her all share the main big bedroom.

Usually Raul and Courier Six share the bed with ED-E (and sometimes Rex) in the middle. Raul will 100% play the arthritis and old man card.

Despite ghouls being described as gross/smelly, even Raul describes it "stink like a public toilet after Cinco de Mayo". Courier Six isn't bothered by it and doesn't mind sleeping next to him.

Actually, during the two years she worked as a courier she slept alone in many dangerous places. So, now being able to sleep next to someone makes her feel safe and happy.

Arcade usually takes the two couches and pushes them together. It's never comfortable, but he would rather do that than share a bed. His height makes sleeping on the couches difficult.

Arcade LMAO:

When Courier Six and Raul are gone he gets some of the BEST sleep in his life. The Presidential Suite beds are probably one of the few times in the Mojave he's found a bed that fits someone his height.

If Raul and Courier Six return late and Arcade is sleeping they'll just let him have the bed and sleep on the couches normally.

ED-E:

99% of the time ED-E is snuggling Courier Six. However if she's gone he'll either lay next to wherever Rex has settled, intentional sleep near Arcade to annoy him or just float by the elevator waiting for her return.

Can this one be of assistance? It's so helpful with bedtime! It can make a midnight snack and bring it to that one on a tray so it doesn't make a mess in bed. It can straighten the blankets and fluff the pillows before tucking that one in, too! And if it would help, it can also find some soothing music or other background noise, or bring a sleeping mask that it can tie as tight as would be comfortable, prepare a fan or a heater if the temperature isn't right, get some extra blankets if that one would like the weight...

And, um... if that one would like, it's also very good at cuddles. It's full of stuffing that's so fun to squeeze, and it can even be put in the microwave for some extra warmth!

i can imagine how freaked out some of the sprunkis that never knew this would be whenever they randomly see one bunny sprunki just lying down with their eyes open like that and thinking they were dead until they started to blink into awakening
