He's one that conjures stuff and then banishes them, because he cares for the environment u-u the soil has to be moved from time to time, right? Being a secretary is boring. Also he's quite wary around Cassandra because he was a ""servant"" to a famous Mortalitasi, along with his grandfather; her family name keeps him from getting too close. The fact she's a Seeker is a plus.

Again on the dissonance between what Mizi says versus what she does... Mizi's relationship with her agency / autonomy is complicated and strained. She wanted to go to Anakt Garden for that sense of control and solidarity among humans and away from the aliens, but even then, she's punished for possessing her own autonomy (ie. Her encounter with "I'm Quite," who hit her for not reciprocating his feelings, because he felt wronged and entitled to her, like she's an object. In turn, this establishes how Mizi is punished for rejecting the education that the Aliens taught, which teaches her that her say-so is conditional and that there will always be a standard and expectation for her that she doesn't want to commit to--

but she's forced to conform either way, she never has a full grasp on that sense of control that she needs, with her dynamic with Sua, they are women, so as women they are seen the same way by the society they live in, in that way Mizi feels seen by an equal and a human like herself, in another way, Sua is like a mirror of what Mizi hates having to be, that's also why Sua's submissiveness is so gratifying to her sense of confidence and insecurities in the moment, above Sua her usual role is reversed, she can believe that she has the full control because of this power imbalance and Sua lets her have it. But something is interesting about Mizi's behavior. There's so much resentment and hurt built up within her. The moment she has the chance to become vulnerable and vent that frustration, she can't do it-- she doesn't do anything but hold Sua gently. That is how Mizi loves Sua, having the strength and say so to completely "crush" Sua, but chooses to hug her and cradle her fragile heart, Mizi's fragile god, whom she reveres and loves so much that, of course, with this much power, she couldn't destroy her, she'd worship Sua for the blessing of having this. Having the agency and ability to do whatever she wants with someone so willing, but innately, Mizi doesn't truly want to hurt anyone in the same way her pain is laughed at and enjoyed by the aliens for entertainment (As opposed to what she thinks about herself)

Wild Life finale spoilers: It's seriously so tragic that the interesting themes and drama Wild Life was leading up to came to such a full-stop after struggling to get off the ground with all the hampering from the gimmicks

This isn't me being a girlie kicking my feet at yuri, I'm genuinely upset that Gem and Pearl didn't end up reaching any real conclusion or even any development, and based on what CC Pearl has been saying, I cant help but feel that things just didn't end up playing out the way she wanted. Remember when she said she had "plans" way back in episode 1? It feels like she's desperately trying to kickstart this at several points and especially in the last episode, only to come out of it calling herself and her finale pathetic. And that's just one example of a storybeat I wish were given the chance to go somewhere. I think what exemplifies this whole point well is Scar's rollercoaster, which didn't get a chance to be built till the finale, and even then it failed to kill anyone (aside from zombie Skizz) like he'd wanted since episode 2 before his own unceremonious death

This isn't the fault of any CCs but I do feel like the gimmicks being so intrusive can't be understated, there's nothing wrong with them in a vacuum but for anyone including the CCs seeking out a Life Series experience it's an obstacle. I'm happy for the player who won but I'm so sad that of all seasons they win the one with the least tension or meaningful viewer retention or investment in the characters. To call it underwhelming would be putting it kindly. In the end this has all just felt like bare explorations of interesting themes being presented and done, the series is over now. Nothing about Wild Life will keep me awake at night like the previous seasons aside from what COULD have been and that's really, really sad to me

I want to like what happened in the latest as10 episode because it's obvious that production didn't want Cynthia to continue and it's a big fuck you to them which is something I am usually always on board for. However. I am just so so so fucking sad for Denali, she really deserved to move on to the next round and I am sad for myself that I don't get to see her next episode. This sucks.

one thing i really appreciate about jinshi's character is how he has NEVER once actually had any intention of succeeding the throne. every time the idea is brought up he immediately detests it. so hes giving maomao as much as he possibly can, even though maomao has many qualms about it due to their difference in social status, but jinshi DOESNT CARE because hes NEVER cared about or wanted the status of crown prince! its been nothing but a burden to him! from his perspective the ONLY thing keeping the two of them apart are outside influences. he has no doubt within himself-- hes horribly down bad, in fact. but unfortunately his stupid JOB is getting in the way of him skipping off into the sunset with his favourite little cat

i've been thinking a lot about march 7th and her new path/form because at first i was kind of disappointed when it was first announced. i, like lots of other people expected her to get a five star, lore drop form like dan heng eventually, and the whole new path/new element really brings a bit into question about how the universe actually works. is march now able to control imaginary? could anyone do that? this new form has occured under completely different circumstances than everyone else's, no big change occured to bring this new march into existence. it just feels kind of anticlimactic, right?

whilei still have some nitpicks with it all, but i've come to really appreciate this idea of march being able to change paths and styles so easily, especially while playing through her event. she has 67 different versions of her life to choose from, after all. she doesn't want to miss out. just as the trailblazer's determination to forge their own destiny has brought them the gaze of several aeons, march's ambition to take her life by the reins has brought her the unique ability to completely transform by herself and bring those futures to life.

it's funny because i think lots of people expected a new version of her based off the remembrance and Fuli, and while i hope we still get that, i think it's important to see that march wants to know and understand her past, but she also refuses to let it change the life she's lived since, the memories she's made and the love she's shared. she's able to forge these new paths all on her own because of the intense passion she holds for living and her desire to experience as much as she can, as long as she can.
