Guess I've curated my experience really well here because I see more posts complaining about antis than I do antis anymore. But I keep seeing people complaining about Stolas fans hating on Octavia and Octavia fans hating on Stolas, which, first of all is stupid.

Stolas would be so mad if people were mean to his daughter. I am too, of course, because she may be a spoiled princess but that's because she's 17 and sheltered. That's not a reason to hate her wtf? That's a reason to love her. Stolas loves her so much, why would people who love Stolas hate her?

Octavia loves her dad so much the reverse is true! She may be mad at him for keeping her in the dark, but she still obviously loves him! How can people who genuinely love Octavia as a character hate Stolas? She's young, she's confused, and her understanding of the world has been rocked, and Stolas has been the only safe/secure thing in her life. She would be so mad at people badzmouthing her dad! She was, in canon, angry at Andrealphus for trying to hurt him!

Honestly feel like sometimes fans think here characters. You're no a character, you have no real-world stake in this fight, and you get to see all the perspectives characters don't. Stop taking it for granted and enjoy the story as the audience, instead of picking fights like a character.

Korra: Well the first time- I don't want to talk about the second time- it was because those jerks wouldn't let me BE THE AVATAR! So I ran away to do my duties! Interviewer: Fascinating. Did you take anyone with you? Korra: Of course! Only the best girl ever, Naga! Naga: Woof

Interviewer: Avatar Kyoshi, why did you run away from home? Kyoshi: After witnessing the death of two of my loved ones. I swore to escape my sifu's control and to get revenge by any means necessary. Interviewer: Fascinating. Did you take anyone with you? Kyoshi: Of course! I took my totally 100%, platonic bestie Rangi! Mmmhmmm just friends, totally, ONLY friends. Haha.
