how do u feel about regressor hizashi/present mic ? i always enjoyed it, especially if hes a vent regressor due to his repressed trauma/having to ignore his own trauma for 15+ years for aizawas sake, n also due to the stress of having 3 jobs (teacher/hero/radio show host), so i always imagined that hes a tired n upset little guy when regressed

Oh, I quite enjoy writing Hizashi as a regressor! Typically I tend to play with him in a flip space, although I think even that can be attributed to the way he handled his own trauma (i.e., that "if I'm constantly going then the feelings won't catch me" mentality he seems to have).

Personally, I see him as starting out with a more cg lean as well—he thinks he needs to hold them together now that Oboro is gone, and he can be there for Shouta when he's small. It works out so perfectly to begin with, because it gives Hizashi an excuse to cling and coddle him while also helping himself keep busy and feel useful (the need to feel useful is something I believe Hizashi and Shouta share after losing Oboro, since there is such a strong sense of powerlessness in that final scene in the rain; they were only children, after all).

But he can only go for so long! As much as he tries to keep busy, keep that trademark upbeat personality, even he can't keep it up forever. We see that happy-go-lucky mask begin to slip during the war arc.

There were probably a few times throughout the years where he middled—and maybe one really bad drop that he won't tell a soul about—but overall, I don't think he starts allowing himself to be small until all is said and done. Hizashi was clearly hurting so badly when trying to figure out whether or not Oboro was still a part of Kurogiri. Trying to figure out if it was worth reopening the wound, because he can't go through that again (not after pouring so much energy into covering up the hurt).

So when he does finally get to regress? It's probably going to be messy. Loud. Lots of crying. It's been building for so long that there's no way around that. But after awhile, once he's decompressed? He'll find that it's okay to be small, that he isn't letting anyone down by doing so, and that he can still cling to Shouta (and get into lots of fun trouble together too). And then he figures out that maybeee he's more of a flip that leans towards baby, actually.

But yeah! Enough of my rambling haha. He's one of my favorite little guys, and definitely a fun character to explore! Much more complex than he is often given credit for (even in-universe). 🌙

had a dream that there were sheep type things living in the house as pets. there was at least one with horns that was annoyingly/adorably snuggly. there were some large ones and one small one though they were all adult sheep. the large ones were black and the small one was grey. i feel like the black ones had names but i forget. they grey one was named Dolly. so yes anyways in the dream it took place over several days and Dolly was missing for a day and it was winter and no one cared or even noticed that the grey sheepthing was not around and then i saw it outside all covered in frost and ice but otherwise unharmed so i opened the door and let it in and it seemed like it would recover from being outside overnight in the winter and then i woke up!
