I felt the urge to revise a disappointing shiny. I think near identical shinies are worse than ugly ones.

My take on a pumpkin Halloween pikachu they would be a subspecies of Pikachu that had evolved to grow up in crop fields around pumpkins and they use their pumpkin like tails to blend in and capture prey AKA thinks I would eat pumpkins and protect themselves against humans this particular one is being raised by my take on a shiny Pikachu

We got two babies this time!

Stuffing is a pretty normal hybrid, all things considered. He's pretty chill, eating plenty since he's part Morpeko. He enjoys exploring and is quite the curious one, but his Orinatan Pikachu genes can get him sick pretty easily!

Lilac ended up being always in Hangry Mode, so she's a bit of an angry baby-but she's got a really kind heart beneath that angry disposition. She uses her anger to her advantage, scaring off Pokémon who don't want to be on the wrong side of a Hangry Morpeko. Like Stuffing, she can get sick pretty easily due to her Orinatan Pikachu genes.

You can keep both of these two, and both can evolve thanks to being part Orinatan Pikachu! If you intend to evolve them, let me know and I'll send you the evolutions for Orinatan Pikachu!

You already have Silver (your Pikachu, very cute btw), so you definitely know they exist

pokemon are very consistent creatures. two pokemon from the same species look very similar to one another. even in the most extreme cases of domestic vs. wild pokemon, the differences aren't very big.

a "shiny" pokemon is just a way to refer to a pokemon with a different coloration from its standard, and even in this way, pokemon remain consistent. every pokemon has a "standard" shiny coloration.

sometimes they'll even break off from these, too, though. shinies are just caused by a mutation in the pigments of the pokemon. standard shiny charizards are all melanistic (an overabundance of dark pigment), while silver here is axanthic (affecting production of yellow pigment) and because pikachu are... all yellow, basically, silver hatched as, well, silver and grey.

as for the shiny charm, it doesn't 'affect' pokemon in the way people might think? i mean, it doesn't 'create' shiny pokemon out of thin air. i see some people who breed for shinies keep shiny charms near the eggs for good luck. i don't know exactly how they work, but they're made such that the charm 'calls to'/attracts wild shiny pokemon. i received one as a gift, but i don't shiny hunt, so it's kind of just silver's favorite toy ever.

(the mark charm works the same way in that i don't know how it works, it just attracts marked pokemon somehow in how it's made.)

spent the day trying to find some of the shiny pikachu and friends outbreak event in pokémon scarlet and violet!!! i already had a shiny pikachu and shiny mimikyu so i prioritised working on getting the other pokémon in the event!!! i started off with getting a regular alolan raichu (as i haven't got one) and then i caught a shiny one not long after!!! afterwards, i caught 2 shiny pichu back to back and then quickly got a shiny regular raichu soon after!!!

it's very rare for me to have a successful shiny hunt nowadays but today was a sweet exception!!! 🎮💛
