I have a feeling this is one of my IRLs asking this as a shitpost but I’m answering anyways lmao

Also I’m assuming this ask wants me to answer with my HC/interpretation of BEN, soooo….

The BEN AI wouldn’t care. It probably already knew of Joker’s existence, probably saw news articles, helicopter cop chase footage, things like that. It thinks Joker is pretty similar to Jeff and LJ, two people it gives zero shits about. It wouldn’t even bother trying to mentally break Joker. I mean, in pretty much every Joker canon, he’s already well past the point of no return, and the BEN AI can clearly tell, so it doesn’t bother doing anything.

Ben, on the other hand, thinks the whole thing is hilarious. He probably met Joker after stalking spying watching him the same way the BEN AI did, and decided to jokingly send fan-mail to the Joker after totally not finding his address on the dark web. They weren’t expecting the Joker to reply back, which completely caught Ben by surprise. You know how some people are deranged enough to become pen pals with serial killers? Yeah that’s what Ben does with Joker. They’ve told each other many a gruesome secret about what goes on in their personal lives. Joker talks about mass murder or spreading a toxic laughing gas through Gotham, and in turn, Ben tells of his own mental manipulation tactics and what the other more physically violent mansion dwellers get up to. On account of Ben being a total shut in, they’re never gonna meet irl. That’s probably for the best.
