It was an odd night on Pahkitew Island. The wind was chilling, yet the sky was starry..there was rustling by a tree not too far from the “Confused Bears” camp, which is where our story starts.

“Shawn—buddy, slow down..I can’t climb as fast as you can.” Topher whisper yelled at his partner. “Do you need a hand?” Shawn offered, stretching his arm towards the other.

Topher got fairly flustered at the offer before he slowly grabbed onto Shawn, who pulled him up in return. “Cmon. Put more strength into your climb! You’re not gonna escape from zombies if you climb like this..” Shawn worried.

“Of course Shawn, sorry honey.” Topher sputtered in a lovey manner. Shawn looked at him, “Honey?” he questioned. “AH—That was. That was a mistake Shawn.” Topher muttered.

Shawn chuckled it off, taking Topher to the highest, thickest branch, where he sat with Topher, caressing his hand.

“You see that, Topher?” Shawn whispered.

“What?” Topher mumbled back, glancing up into the nightsky.

“That. That constellation.”

“It’s called Cassiopeia.” Shawn pointed into the black, at a small arrangement of stars.

Topher held Shawn’s hand, leaning against him. Shawn nudged back affectionately. “You tired bud?” Shawn asked.

Topher leaned into Shawn, sitting up as he lifted the other’s chin up, pulling Shawn in for a kiss. Shawn sputtered, but soon leaned in as well.

as Topher pulled back from the embrace, he looked down at Shawn. “I. I’m so sorry!! That was..quite unprofessional of me.” Topher apologized.

“you’re fine.”

“really?”

“we could um..do that again later. alright?”

Shawn hates dealing with trashy reality tv paparazzi. Topher is extremely well-equipped to get them to leave quickly while thinking they got something out of him.

Shawn uses conditioner for the first time. It’s like $5 conditioner which makes Topher want to cry but he’s happy it’s something.

Topher gets used as a weight during survival routine workouts. He likes the attention ;)

Topher is literally dating someone that won Total Drama I think sometimes this really hits him and he goes loopy for a minute.

The island crumbles and shakes at every corner, random and completely nonsensical things shooting out of the ground left and right. It's clear something's wrong, and the large red screened timer certainly pushes that belief further. Shawn stares over to Topher, who he was glad to have around now. Max had been voted out, which... Well, he was surprised he hadn't. At this point, it seems everyone was tired of his "lunatic" rambling, despite the CLEARLY possible chance zombies attack. Well, it's whatever, regardless, he's looking over at Topher with a worried look. It seems the other seems just as worried, sending an equally as scared look right back over to Shawn.

Though, regardless, they don't have much time to think, especially considering Shawn can feel a grip around his wrist. When he actually focuses again, he's being dragged along to a bunch of rocks, Scarlett standing beside him as he raises an eyebrow. What the hell? What does Scarlett want with him? The silence is cut through, almost like she could just sense his thoughts entirely. "Trust me, I know this has got to be the safest way in. We don't have a lot of time, Shawn, c'mon."

He pauses, looking to the rocks, then back to Scarlett, then back to the rocks. He does begin trying to see anything off with any of the stones stuck in the ground, and he leads himself to the largest one, hitting it with his palm a couple of times before it opens before him. "How uhh... How did you know that would uh, work?" ... A few seconds pass, and he gets no answer. Instead, his wrist is grabbed again and he's dragged into the depths of the "underground" of the island, which in and of itself looked like a pretty complicated bunker to him. Was Chris scared of the zombies as well? Well, at least he can give him that, he's properly prepared for the apocalypse. He's dragged through the halls, almost as if Scarlett knows exactly what she's doing, before he's shoved right in front of a keypad. Scarlett looks at him expectantly. He's... Well, confused.

"We... Don't have a, uhh... Code, Scarlett." He laughs out nervously, looking over at her. He swears something in her changed. He can't place his finger on it, but suddenly he feels like he's surrounded by a hoard and stuck with only one thing that can save him. "We don't have TIME for a code, Shawn! Now go ahead, we don't have forever, we just... Need to figure this out and we'll be safe, okay?" Despite her harsh tone at first, she quickly seemed to change to something more sweet. God, Shawn should not be doing this. He feels something so horribly off about... Well, all of it. Chris' face pops in on a screen, explaining the keypad and Shawn sighs out defeated, staring to the keypad. Nothing much else he could do, considering Chris seems to get a kick out of this, and he doesn't want to die- I mean, it's a million dollars on the line! He pushes a combination of a few numbers- and gets shocked. This process repeats a few times until the door finally opens, and Scarlett waltzes in, Shawn quick to shake himself out of the dazed feeling the shocks threw him into. He follows quickly behind, watching Scarlett press a few buttons, before... Chris' face pops up! However... Something seems... Off. Is her hair spiking up? Chris and Scarlett begin speaking, and oh boy is it quick Shawn notices what's up now.

Scarlett's gonna kill all of them. Just for the money. She'd even sacrifice herself if she doesn't get the money. In a quick thought, Shawn pulls Scarlett up out of the chair. However, this small victory doesn't last long as he feels his head slam against the ground. Fuck, that hurt. He wheezes out upon impact, head left with a throbbing, aching feeling. He stares up at Scarlett, now gripping his face by the cheeks and mumbling out some sort of nonsense Shawn's never heard in his life. However, soon, he's shoved into the back of his head. It's dark, and his vision is blurry, but he's moving. But that's not him moving. He can vaguely hear Scarlett's words as he seems to stand back up, despite that not being him.

Topher runs through the halls, Jasmine following close behind as the shorter seems to heave out and nearly hyperventilate, looking up to Jasmine before Sugar and Sky pop up, and a screen pulls down from the ceiling, Scarlett leading them elsewhere and to where he believed the control room would be. I mean, they'd get out of here alive! Thank the lords, y'know? Though as they all stumble in, the door behind them slams shut, and a bunch of robotic voices come to life. A bunch of Chris robots, almost like a ton of clones. Now, in any normal situation, this would be the greatest day of his life. But this is NOT any normal situation, as he backs up away from the robots caving in, before Sugar yells out- and, well. Beats them all up, surprisingly. I mean, Sugar seems rough and all, but Topher still never expected that of all things.

They all sigh, rushing out of the room and heading out and straight towards where the real control room was, and Topher felt like his lungs were setting on fire. Good lord, who would've thought the island would self destruct itself? I mean, he didn't sense anything wrong before. Someone had to have done something, and somehow, that makes him upset even more. I mean, clearly Scarlett's no good now that she's lead them into what she would've thought would be their demise, and now they're all at risk of genuinely DYING! I mean, anyone's crazy to NOT get upset at that, right? Regardless, he rushes down the halls even though his lungs feel like they could collapse in on him any moment. He has no choice but to push on. I mean, they were in danger- He doesn't even care about the money! I mean, Shawn's off with Scarlett, she's probably already done something horrible to him and- oh shit. Shawn's with Scarlett. Right. He squeaks out something incomprehensible before they end up... In the room! Oh. When did they get here?

Topher freezes up, Shawn leaned against the back of the chair as Scarlett gives a soft laugh. The mindless of the two turns the chair to face the other contestants, wide grins on the both of their faces. Topher gasps, looking up to Jasmine before looking to Shawn, and then to Scarlett. Fuck. They've gotta be like, quick about this, right? He shuffles in place for just a moment, before Scarlett begins speaking. Essentially some ramble about how she's finally got everything in the palm of her hand, and they'll all die if Chris doesn't listen to her. Sadly, he knows how that would end. Scarlett might put up a good fight, but if Chris isn't stubborn and out of his mind, he doesn't know who is. So instead, he pushes forward despite his heaving chest, Jasmine coming up behind him and grabbing at Scarlett. Though, with little time to react, Shawn pushes around the chair and grabs Topher by the sweater, though with this, Sugar and Sky look to each other. The other four seem completely distracted, and Sky sighs out before pushing Sugar forward and towards the control board. They stare at the keyboard, before, as anyone would do to shut down anything, they press ctrl, alt, and delete. Simple enough, and the red screen goes away, a robotic voice giving reassurance they've truly shut it down. Shawn however, he still isn't out of it, and Scarlett yells and grumbles. Topher stares at Shawn, surprisingly kind of... Stuck under the other's grip.

Though, he can tell something's up. Chris is on the screen, and he can hear him going on about rescuing them, congratulating them despite the still obvious struggle both Scarlett AND Shawn are putting up, and he cuts out. Though... Hm. Perhaps something out of a movie would work? Movies don't lie, Topher's sure, so, with any comprehensive thought he can throw together, he pushes his arms up and places a gentle hand to Shawn's jaw, and pulls him in. He can only hope for the best, as their lips connect. Though immediately, it's like the entire tone of the room shifted. He heard soft gasps, likely Sugar and Jasmine? Maybe. He's... A little too distracted to notice, and a little too wrapped up in his wishful thinking.

Finally, everything's all clear again, and Shawn feels... Well, relieved- but, he also feels kind of comfortable. And happy. He's- is he kissing someone? He pushes away, eyes blinking open as he stares at Topher, and the both of their faces go beet red.

And once they get back to the odd comfort of the campfire, and Scarlett's shot out and away from the island, they all feel relieved. That night was the best sleep Shawn's had of his life, and he finds comfort in knowing that despite everything, he can still have his fair share of happiness with two people. It makes him feel... Welcome, almost at home, as cheesy as it sounds.
