So for Spanish sign language class we occasionally need to do signdancing as an assignment, and this last time I asked the prof if I could interpret a scene instead. She was cool with it, so I asked a friend to do it with me. Initially we were going to do a movie, but it’s pretty hard to find movie clips on youtube with just two characters that speak the same amount more or less.

So then I sent him a few eskam clips because I didn’t know what else we could find on youtube that would work. I sent him:

The scene where Joana and Cris fight at the park, the cocksucking fight scene (s2).

The scene where Cris comes out to Amira (s2).

The scene where Nora tells Miquel to get professional help (s3).

Amira and Dani’s final break up scene (s4). 

The thing is, he didn’t just look over the clips to check if we had about the same amount of dialogue, but actually engaged with one of them. He said Miquel seemed like a pìece of shit, and wanted to know if Miquel actually posted the pics he was talking about in the clip.

And so I thought I might as well watch the whole show with him. 😂 I’m actually pretty intrigued what he’ll make of the seasons, esp s4 as he’s Chinese-born and has 3 sisters. I of course have wondered whether it’d be better if eskam had finally included a girl of Chinese descent as they planned on doing (this girl would’ve been Sana, as they had issues casting Amira). But with how shit s4 is at dealing with cultural and ethnic diversity, I’m not sure our friendship could survive if that season hit a bit tooooo close to home (for legal purposes this is a joke... or is it??). 

Anyway in the end we decided to go with Cris coming out to Amira, and I will sign for Amira and he will sign for Cris.

a liberty tax service is on a road near my house that I always pass and I always see this one dude dressed in a statue of liberty costume and sign dancing every time I pass him up so I give the peace sign to him and he signs back in return. We've been at this for months now nearly every day and I've never spoken a word to this guy but I like to think I make his day every time I give out peace bc we're both laughing when we do it

Denizli Ünlü Tiyatrocuları Ağırlayacak

Denizli Büyükşehir Belediyesinin bu yıl 32’ncisini düzenlediği Denizli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Uluslararası Amatör Tiyatro Festivali’nin korteji yapıldı. Renkli görüntülere sahne olan korteje Denizlililer yoğun ilgi gösterirken, 6’sı yabancı olmak üzere toplam 24 tiyatro ekibi 13 Mayıs’a kadar 16 gösteri ve 38 oyunu sahneye koyacak.

Denizli Büyükşehir Belediyesinin bu yıl 32’ncisini düzenlediği Uluslararası Amatör Tiyatro Festivali’nin korteji yapıldı. Denizli Valiliği önündeki Atatürk Anıtı’na çelenk sunma töreninin ardından düzenlenen korteje, Denizli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Meclis Başkan Vekili Ali Değirmenci, Devlet Tiyatroları Genel Müdürü Mustafa Kurt, Denizli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Genel Sekreter Yardımcısı Mustafa Gökoğlan, Uluslararası Amatör Tiyatro Festivali için gelen yerli ve yabancı tiyatro grupları ve davetliler katıldı. Denizli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Bandosu eşliğinde yürüyüşe geçen gruplar, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Bulvarı’nı takip ederek 15 Temmuz Delikliçınar Şehitler Meydanı’na kadar devam eden korteje katıldı. Denizlilerin cadde boyunca yoğun ilgi gösterdiği kortej renkli görüntülere sahne oldu. Makyajları ve kostümleri ile dikkat çeken tiyatrocular şarkı söyleyip dans ettiler.

BAŞKA YERDE YOK

Denizli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Meclis Başkan Vekili Ali Değirmenci, 1984’ten bu yana devam eden tiyatro festivalinin dünyada başka bir ülkede olmadığını vurguladı. Değirmenci, ”Bu festivalimizin devam etmesi hepimizin, Denizli’nin gururudur. Festivalin gerçekleşmesinde emek veren başta Denizli Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanımız Osman Zolan ve tüm ekip arkadaşlarımıza teşekkür ediyorum” dedi. 15 Temmuz Delikliçınar Şehitler Meydanı’nda son bulan kortejin ardından Rumeli Akademisi Eğitim ve Kültür Derneği tiyatrocularının yaptığı sokak gösterisi vatandaşlar tarafından ilgiyle izlendi. 

DENİZLİ ÜNLÜ TİYATROCULARI AĞIRLAYACAK

Yurt içi ve yurtdışından Denizli’ye gelen grupların yanında atölye çalışmaları da festivale renk katacak. Tiyatro severlerin atölye çalışmalarına da katılabileceği festivale, Çetin Altay, Umut Oğuz, Serdar Orçin, Dilek Çelebi, Özer Tunca, Yunus Derli, İlter Baturay, Burcu Aksakal gibi birbirinden değerli oyuncular katılıyor. Ünlü tiyatro sanatçıları atölye çalışmalarında tecrübe ve birikimlerini Denizlililerle paylaşacak. 300’e yakın amatör tiyatro oyuncusunun yer aldığı festivalde 3 sokak oyunu grubu toplam 16 gösteri yapacak, 21 tiyatro grubu da 38 oyunu sahneye koyacak. Denizli kent merkezinin yanı sıra, Acıpayam, Sarayköy, Tavas ve Çivril’de de 8 farklı oyun tiyatro severlerle buluşacak.
