really love that august will now be burdened with the crown, that we see sara reject him. that was arguably his last chance at any sort of normal love life. after what he did to wille and simon, destroying their privacy and ability to navigate their love for each other at the right pace, it’s satisfying to know that now he is going to be the one dealing with the lack of privacy and heightened scrutiny because of his title. i also like how he was always more than just a straightforward villain, he’s still a person and he still grew to be better over time. still hate him personally but i like that he isn’t one-dimensional and that wille forgave him and doesn’t have to carry the weight of that resentment any longer.

You know what was the first thing that I loved about Young Royals?

In the start, you'd think that Wilhelm is gonna be this party craze bad boy, who's broody and mysterious. But he wasn't, he turned out to be huge dork and I absolutely loved it. I was so tired of the tsundere character being brought out by the love interest.

And Wilhelm is kind to everybody. English shows constantly show characters who are rude and assholes to everyone, including their elder and teachers. But, it wasn't like that in YR. He doesn't have an air of arrogance because he was the prince, and nor did Eric. And I loved the fact that Simon wasn't that intimidated or impressed by Wilhelm. To him, he's just a normal boy, who looks at you like he wan gobble you up.

to be completely honest one of my favourite things about the young royals fandom compared to the heartstopper fandom is that there is no obvious favouritism. like with heartstopper there is so much love for kit connor/nick nelson (and that’s amazing kit and nick are amazing) while joe and charlie dont get half the appreciation they deserve. but with young royals both edvin/wilhelm and omar/simon get so so much appreciation (as they fuckin should!!!!) and it’s so refreshing for me

I watched the last episode of young royals s3 and the entire time I was like "oh fuck. oh fuck! they're just digging this hole deeper and deeper. How is this all gonna be fixed in one episode??" and then the episode ended I was like "NOOOO WTF WORST ENDING EVER"
