Oh boy do I have opinions... I adore Simon. He's great. He also has one of the worst endings ever, and I want to carry him back into the waking world and have him experience the sunrise. Let me give blood vials to injured characters I like, Fromsoft!!!

On the "they got done dirty"... People who ship him with Brador. Why. Like, I get it, toxic yaoi, yadda yadda yadda. It ian't for me. Dude what. Just no.

Simon in general is so hella fascinating to me. He's one of the first church hunters! He hates firearms and packs a bow and iron knuckles. He is blind (there are two scars that go right through his eyes if you look at his facial data and he has bandages, the man isn't seeing shit)! He has the same face as Gatling Gun Boy/Djura's Disciple (so what's that meaning? i interpret it as meaning that they are related). His "must've taken the wrong turn then, eh?" implies that he, too, did that, and is a living hunter in the nightmare just like we are. The fact he can actively die and shit adds to it. Unlike other hunters in the nightmare that die, he leaves a corpse. He is corporeal. He wandered in god knows how long ago and has been investigating the church's wrongs ever since. I am gnawing on the drywall.

Curiosity filled Dick as he grabbed the phone and the amulet. As soon as he held the amulet he felt a flicker of power rush through him. The powers that lay dormant but not forgotten surged to life. His blue eyes practically glowed in the darkness as he relished the feeling. Sometimes he wondered why he left that life.

Flipping open the phone he pressed talk and greeted, "Eathon what did I do to earn a phone call?"

As excitable as ever Eathon answered, "Dick we've got a mission!"

Dick could practically see the boy bouncing around. So full of energy. Dick hoped that the other's light never went out. The world would be so much worse off without it.

Chuckling slightly said, "Good on you, Eathon. I know you and Simon have been looking for work. What guild is it through?"

Eathon interjected before he could ask any other questions on his mind, "You don't get it, Dick. We," here he stressed the word causing Dick to stiffen, "Have a mission. It's a four person mission and Alec has already agreed to be our third. We just need you."

Metz too huh? The entire gang was getting back together if Eathon had his way. It had been awhile since the four were even on the same continent. The Titans kept Robin busy while the others went about being seekers. Chasing history and the secrets hidden in the past.

Am I the only one who sees the similarities here?

King Candy controls his citizens through their code, while Magnifico controls them through their wishes, in both cases the core of their existence, the essence of their hearts.

Both kingdoms look perfect on the surface, having names with good connotations (Sugar Rush and Rosas), but their kings, who seem benevolent at first, actually hide a dark secret.

Both kings are attention seekers that must feel loved and appreciated, which also leads to their downfall: King Candy, or rather his true identity, Turbo, felt ignored by the players when another racing game became more popular than his, invaded the new game, and caused both to get disconnected. Magnifico gets angry every time someone questions him, which makes him turn to dark magic.

King Candy tries to crush Vanellope's dream of racing so his secret won't be exposed if her true game state as a princess is restored by using the other racers to bully her and lying about her being a glitch, while Magnifico strives to silence Asha in order to keep his secret of hoarding the wishes and not intending to grant most of them by telling the citizens she's a traitor endangering the kingdom by destroying wishes, and offering a prize on turning her in.

Both girls get the help they need to overthrow the king from another world: Asha gets Star who crushes to the forest near the village she lives in, and Vanellope meets Ralph, who comes from another video game, and crushes his spaceship to the Candy Cane Forest. King Candy / Turbo, is also from another video game, while Magnifico claims he got his genes from outer space!

Both kings have loyal lackeys that are identified with the color green: Magnifico uses forbidden magic, which is green, to fulfill Simon's wish and get him to his side, while King Candy has Sour Bill, who is a green candy. Also, Magnifico rides white horses, and King Candy drives Vanellope's original race car, which is white.

The climax of both movies takes place on a high-altitude location, with both kings torturing the protagonists and their friends: In Wreck-it Ralph, it happens on Diet Cola Mountain, with King Candy trying to prevent Ralph from making the volcano erupt and forcing him to watch the Cybugs closing in on Vanellope, while in Wish it occurs on the palace's roof, with Magnifico blasting Asha with magic and sucking Star into his staff.

(And, unfortunately, both kings have fans who are sure they did nothing wrong because of their traumatic past, and that the girl is actually is the villain...)

today, we’re gonna be doing something different. I’m gonna compile a list of what I think the main 6’s favorite carnival foods and rides are. I dont know if this technically counts, but I say it does and I’m contributing so. Sue me.

Simon Snow - Deep Fried Butter/Hang Gliders

Starting off strong with our boy Simon and you just KNOW he loves carnival food. Fair/Carnival food was made for people like him, but especially all the insane fried combos they have going on in southern America; one of which being fried butter on a stick. You heard me right; just butter stuck on a stick and fried. It. Fucking. Slaps. Especially according to Simon. Now, the hang glider is just kind of another no brainer. He loves to fly and I feel like it would just give him a certain free feeling. However, I don’t think he’d be able to drag Baz on it more than once.

Baz Pitch - Funnel Cake/Ferris Wheel

Okay, funnel cake is objectively one of the best fair foods, and Baz understands that. He’s not usually a fried food kind of guy, but when it comes to funnel cake, I feel like he would give it a pass. Especially if it has extra powdered sugar and jam on top. I also don’t think that Baz is a ride guy, he seems like he wouldn’t be very interested in the bigger rides, but we all know that he is a ROMANTIC. I know he dreams about that perfect kiss at the top of a Ferris wheel, and I see you Baz ❤️

Penelope Bunce - Soft Pretzels/Tilt-A-Whirl

Penelope Bunce is Queen of the carbs and I fucking LOVE HER for that. But I think her favorite would be soft pretzels because they’re just the PERFECT carnival food. I mean, lightweight but also filling, the salt and carbs help with stomach acid issues, and they’re just plain good. Completely solid and logical, the perfect Penny food. Now, that being said, I think that she would love the chaotic energy of the tilt-a-whirl. It would feel like casting spells for her, I think. Just mindless fun and letting your hair down, y’know?

Shepard Love - Nachos/Screamer

Shepard is definitely a loaded nachos guy, the more toppings, the better. He wants his chips SOAKED. He would definitely be down for anything, but by the end of the night, he would have to have a good set of nachos. Honestly, he judges how good a carnival is based on how good or bad their nachos are. And there’s no secret here, Shepard is a THRILL SEEKER. Being in a metal cage and getting spun around a pendulum that was put together 2 hours ago? Sign. Him. Up. He loves riding it, but especially when he has a first-time rider next to him. He’s definitely the type to chat with the riders next to him while going through the craziest shit and you KNOW Penelope loves the energy.

Agatha Wellbelove - Cotton Candy/Carousel

People judge Agatha on her carnival interests, but honestly? She’s so real for that. Cotton candy is popular because it’s really fucking good? Like, it’s sugar. You cannot go wrong with straight sugar. And the texture is so unique and interesting! And of course she would love carousels, she loves horses. They’re also just really pretty and fun. Carousels are a little underrated in my opinion, they’re really great! And I feel like Agatha would prefer milder rides that she can use to spend time with the people she came to the carnival with.

Niamh Brody - Caramel Apples/Games

I feel like Niamh is a caramel apple person. I think she likes the mix of the thick caramel and sharp bite of apple, yknow? That combo is just unbeatable. There is no caramel apple that can be bad. However, I don’t think that Niamh is very into the whole carnival thing. It’s definitely not her scene, and I don’t think she would like rides. However, I do think that she would enjoy getting to play carnival games and try winning stuff for Agatha, who would pretend that her heart wasn’t melting out of her eyes. Niamh is a rigging carney’s worst nightmare.

Ah Simon! The harrowed, our seeker of secrets!

What an interesting individual for sure.

With his clothes description it sure have some dark implications (looking for signs of beasthood before the black church go toc to some doors…) He should try to keep the secrets not try to learn them! It’s super interesting.

Also the first time i played the game his death break my heart 😢 i feel so sad… like his final dialogue broke me. well on my ng+ i killed him but it’s another story 💀 idk if it’s because i realised some stuff about him (and that i liked Maria a lot lol or because of people take on him) but i began to like him less? It’s better now too. He warned us after all… and probably tried to learn more so the nightmare should end..

Plus i wonder what links he used to have with Ludwig and the other etc The fact that he use a bow too! Everyone probably judge him but i’m sure it was quite powerful! It’s a good weapon too.

I don’t have lots of headcanon on him too (that’s why i didn’t check the case) but i have a couple of idea with the old hunters, Ludwig and especially Gehrman ahah (of course). (Long story short Gehrman disappear and Brador and him + maybe smn else were send to go get him back. He’s near the coast so that’s how he learn about the hamlet and wanted to know more…)

What else, in the end, is there? What compass more certain than desire made luminous by kindness? What path more sacred than the one traced by the heart’s longing and the hand’s offering?

Simone Weil wrote, “Attention, taken to its highest degree, is the same thing as prayer.” Perhaps to bring love is to carry attention into the world — to look upon another with such steady presence that they remember themselves as worthy of being seen.

And so I wonder — how many places have we entered empty-handed, demanding warmth, demanding joy, demanding recognition, without once thinking to carry these with us? We cross thresholds with hunger in our eyes, forgetting that we are not only seekers of light but also its bearers.

The sociologist Zygmunt Bauman observed that “In a liquid modern life, relationships are temporary, commitment is fragile.” But if we go where we love and bring love where we go, we defy that fragility. We become, if only for a moment, something solid — a hearth in the storm, a promise that does not dissolve at first difficulty.

I think of Khalil Gibran: “Work is love made visible.” But perhaps presence itself is love made visible. The way we sit beside sorrow without fleeing. The way we listen until the silence has spoken all its names. The way we offer gentleness in a world sharpened by haste.

And so I say: go where you love. But do not arrive empty. Bring with you the small mercies, the unnoticed offerings — a word, a pause, a softness of gaze. Let your footsteps leave kindness behind them, like petals on stone.

In the end, to go where you love, and bring love where you go, is to understand that we are not merely passing through this world, but shaping it — with every look, every word, every silence filled with care.

And if you ask me what remains after all else has crumbled — I will tell you: only this. Only where you went in love, and how much love you brought along the way.
