INT. SPRINGFIELD RETIREMENT CASTLE - GRANDPA'S ROOM - DAY

GRAMPA ABE SIMPSON sits in his rocking chair, dozing off. Suddenly, he spots a roach scurrying across the floor.

GRAMPA ABE SIMPSON (startled) What?! A bombay canary!

Abe leans forward, addressing the insect.

GRAMPA ABE SIMPSON Now listen here, you six-legged menace. Back in my day, we didn't have fancy bug sprays. We had to tell long, rambling stories to bore the pests to death. Oh sure, you could just squash 'em, but where's the sport in that?

As Abe speaks, he slowly reaches for his shoe.

GRAMPA ABE SIMPSON (quickly) And that's why I always keep a gun in my shoe!

Abruptly the shoe slips out of Abe's hands, flying at the roach.

GRAMPA ABE SIMPSON (smugly) Ha! Thought you'd get out of the story that easy, did ya? Not the most sporting method but-

It misses, hitting the wall.

GRAMPA ABE SIMPSON D'oh!

Then, a handgun falls out of the shoe, discharging upon impact.

The bullet ricochets and strikes Abe in the foot.

GRAMPA ABE SIMPSON (yelping) D'OH! Consarn it!

 INT, SPRINGFIELD ELEMENTRAY SCHOOL AUDITURIUM-DAY

 Principal Skinner is telling the kids about the school store.

 SKINNER

 And from next week we will be opening a store here in the school and one lucky student will be chosen to work in the store we’ll let you know on Monday!

 MAGGIE

 Wow a school store I hope I’m the one who gets to work in it!

 GERALD

 You why would anyone choose you, you don’t even know how to tie your shoes!

 MAGGIE

 Don’t need to when you wear Mary Jane Sandals!

 The camera pans to Maggie’s feet to show her shoes

 He walks away from Maggie then her three friends walk over to her.

 I believe you’ll get the job!

 LILLY

 Yeah, your trusted in this school!

 INT, THE SIMPSONS DINING ROOM-EVENING

 Maggie is telling her family about the school store.

 MAGGIE

 We are having a store at the school and one lucky student will be chosen to work in it oh I hope it’s me!

 HOMER

 The kids are getting their things out of the lockers for class when Principal Skinner makes an announcement over the PA system.

 SKINNER OVER PA

 Students this is Principal Skinner today I am going to announce the lucky student who gets to work in the school store and that student is-

 Maggie Simpson!

 Can’t believe she got chosen there is no god!

 She makes her way to the office.

 IN PRINCIPAL SKINNER’S OFFICE

 Principal Skinner is sitting at his desk when there is a knock on the door.

 The door opens and Maggie enters the room she walks towards Principal Skinner and faces him

 You wanted to see me Principal Skinner!

 SKINNER

 Ah yes come on in Maggie close the door and take a seat!

 Maggie does as she is told and takes a seat at the desk facing Principal Skinner.

 SKINNER

 Can I offer you a drink at all!

 MAGGIE

 Water please!

 He gives her a glass of water and Maggie takes a drink of it.

 SKINNER

 Now I am going to give you your duty information for the school store your hours are 8am-3pm Monday-Friday accept School Holidays can you do that Maggie!

 MAGGIE

I can sir!

SKINNER

 One more thing no giving out free items to anyone even if they are your friends!

 Maggie finishes her water.

 MAGGIE

 I won’t let you down sir!

 SKINNER

 Good now let me show you where the store is!

 Before we do that can I go to the bathroom!

 FADE TO LATER OUTSIDE A CLASSROOM

 Principal Skinner and Maggie are standing outside a classroom he opens the door and he shows her the store.

 SKINNER

 As you can see, we sell candy snacks milk and soda and you will be serving behind the counter from tomorrow!

 Oh, nearly forgot the key to the room!

 He gives her a key and Maggie takes it and puts it in her pocket.

 The simpsons are having dinner at the table and Maggie is telling them about the school store.

 And I will be running the school store at school from tomorrow oh I can’t wait!

 Interested in retail are you Maggie well I work part time at a flower shoppe come with me on Saturday and I will learn you more!

 School store why the hell do they need that must be skinners idea!

 MAGGIE

 Maggie is standing behind the counter waiting for her first Costumer then Gerald walks in and walks up to her at the counter.

 GERALD

 Simpson can you give me something on layaway!

 MAGGIE

 Sorry Gerald you have to pay for your items I don’t do Layaway!

 GERALD

 (angry) You haven’t heard the last of this Simpson!

 He leaves the room

 EXT, SPRINGFIELD ELEMENTRAY SCHOOL-PLAYGROUND-DAY

 Maggie is taking a break from the store so she can have some fresh air and a snack she is sitting on the bench having some potato chips and a can of buzz cola then Gerald walks up to her.

 GERALD

 Remember when I said you haven’t heard the last of this, I meant every word Simpson so I’m going to sort you out now.

 He grabs her off the bench and picks her up with her t-shirt

 GERALD

 I’m going to enjoy this!

 He slams her on the floor then he kicks her then he picks her up and puts her in the garbage can then he walks away Maggie gets out of the garbage can covered head to toe in garbage.

 MAGGIE

 At least I am not hurt but I smell bad but I have to go back to the store!

 BACK IN THE SCHOOL STORE

 Maggie is standing behind the counter smelling very bad Judith and Lilly enter room and smell a bad smell.

 LILLY

 Eww I’ve smelled some bad things when I lived on a farm but nothing like this!

 JUDITH

 Gross!

 They buy what they came for and exit the room then Principal Skinner enters the room and gets a whiff of Maggie.

 SKINNER

 Maggie I’ll take over while you go and take a shower!

 MAGGIE

 Okay Sir!

 Maggie exits the room.

 FADE TO THE GIRL’S CHANGING ROOM LATER

 Maggie has had her shower and is wearing a white towel

 MAGGIE

That’s better but my clothes still smell like garbage don’t know what I’m going to do!

 She picks up her clothes and exits the room still wearing a towel

Pan back to the school store

 Principal Skinner is standing behind the counter when Maggie enters the room holding her clothes in her hand.

 MAGGIE

 Principal Skinner slight problem my clothes smell of garbage and I don’t have anything else to wear!

SKINNER

 Well lets see what’s in the lost and found!

 MAGGIE

 Who’s going to watch the store!

 SKINNER

 We’ll close the store for a bit till I get you sorted with some clothes!

 IN THE LOST AND FOUND

 Principal Skinner has found Maggie some clothes she can wear he has put her own clothes in a carrier bag Maggie goes back to the changing room to change then she comes back wearing the clothes he gave her.

 SKINNER

 Looking very nice Maggie!

 MAGGIE

 Thank you, Principal Skinner!

 SKINNER

 Now you can go back to the store!

 MAGGIE

 Okay!

 BACK AT THE SCHOOL STORE

 Maggie has arrived back and she has noticed the door is open.

 MAGGIE

 That’s odd I thought Principal Skinner locked the door!

 She pushes the door open and is shocked at what she finds.

 MAGGIE

 (SHOCKED) What in the name of hell!

 She sees all the shelves on the floor candy on the floor and every item has gone.

 MAGGIE

 (upset) I am going to be in so much trouble Principal Skinner will be so mad!

 Then Principal Skinner enters the room and sees the mess and destruction and immediately blames Maggie

 SKINNER

 (ANGRY) Simpson what happened here!

 MAGGIE

         How the hell should I know when I got here, I found the store like this!

SKINNER

 You know what this means I am removing you from duty please hand in your key!

 MAGGIE

 (UPSET) But!

 She gives Principal Skinner her key.

 Maggie walks away feeling very upset then she stops and has an autistic meltdown.

MAGGIE

(HAVING A MELTDOWN) You blame me Skinner you’re a rotten old bastard that’s what you are a rotten old bastard!

IN DETENTION

 Maggie is sitting at a desk on a Chair with a piece of paper in front of her Groundskeeper Willie is teaching detention.

MAGGIE

 Stupid Skinner putting me in detention!

 WILLIE

 Maggie we are friends and Willie is teaching detention but Willie doesn’t know why you are here so you can go!

 MAGGIE

 Thanks Willie!

 WILLIE

Nay you just promise Willie you’ll be good from now on!

 MAGGIE

 Okay I’ll try my best!

 Maggie leaves the room.

 Maggie is walking down the corridor when she decides to investigate the school store incident and find the real person that did it.

 MAGGIE

 I have seen lots of episodes of CSI I’ll do what they do!

 She walks towards the door and she finds a blue book that looks like a dairy of some sort it says on it Gerald Samson’s bully plans.

MAGGIE

Hmm this looks like interesting reading!

 She reads what is written in the book.

 MAGGIE

 So, it was Gerald that did this I’m telling principal Skinner but will he even talk to me after the meltdown I had in front of him on the other hand what do I have to lose!

 IN PRINCIPAL SKINNER’S OFFICE

 Maggie is standing facing him at his desk Principal Skinner is reading the book Maggie found.

 SKINNER

 So, Maggie you found Gerald’s bully book thank you for bringing this to my attention I did notice you are out of detention but we’ll let it slide!

MAGGIE

 As you can see, I was not to blame for the school store incident was I!

SKINNER

 No Maggie I was wrong to make false judgement please forgive an old fool!

 MAGGIE

 Okay I forgive you and I’m sorry I went off on one but I was very upset at the time!

 SKINNER

 I guess we both we’re wrong!

 MAGGIE

 Yeah, I guess we were!

 SKINNER

 Do you still want to run the school store!

 MAGGIE

 Sorry but I use to love it but because of recent incidents it has put me right off it!

 Maggie exits the room.

 INT. MAGGIE’S BEDROOM-NIGHT

 Maggie is sitting on her bed wearing her pink Pajamas then Lisa enters the room and sits at the side of her.

 LISA

 Are you still running the school store!

 MAGGIE

 No Lisa since I got blamed for an incident, I had nothing to do with I have decided not to run a store anymore!

 LISA

 Okay do you want me to tuck you in!

 MAGGIE

 Yes, please Lisa!

 Maggie gets into her bed and Lisa tucks her in and turns on her nightlight.

 LISA

 There you go now no monsters will get you!

 MAGGIE

 Goodnight Lisa!

 Maggie goes to sleep and Lisa exits the room and closes the door very quietly so she doesn’t wake Maggie.

INT, SPRINGFIELD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL-DAY

Maggie and her classmates are in the Kindergarten they are sitting at tables drawing pictures on paper when Lilly wants to make an announcement Lilly stands up and faces everyone.

LILLY

Everyone this weekend my Dad is having a barbecue but not everyone will be invited so I will be going round giving invitations to people who are invited if that’s alright with you Mr Johnson!

JOHNSON

Lilly yes its fine go ahead!

Lilly goes round her classmates starting with Maggie she gives her one  she goes to Judith she gives her one she goes to Michelle and gives her one she goes to Emma and she gives her one and she gives one to William.

GERALD

Hey Hargreaves where’s mine!

LILLY

Sorry Gerald your not invited I only want nice people at the Barbecue not bullies!

GERALD

Fine see if I care!

Lilly retakes her seat next to Maggie

MAGGIE

Are you sure you don’t want Gerald at your barbecue!

LILLY

I am Maggie 100% sure!

JOHNSON

Now that Lilly has given out her invitations we can now continue our lesson!

They continue drawing.

IN THE PLAYGROUND

Lilly is sitting on a bench with Maggie  when Gerald walks up to them

GERALD

He points at Lilly

He walks up to her and punches her and Lilly falls to the ground Maggie walks over to him and pulls him of of Lilly

Gerald starts laughing at Maggie

The Simpsons are sitting at the table in the dining room having Dinner and Maggie is reading her invitation.

MAGGIE

Come to my Barbecue  it will be fun signed Lilly Hargreaves so I have a Barbecue to go to on Saturday!

HOMER

Barbecue eh  can I come!

MAGGIE

You can drop me off there and pick me up after but your not invited!

HOMER

Well  good luck getting there because I’m not driving you now!

MAGGIE

I’d like to go swimming in your pool but I don’t have my bathing suit in fact none of us do!

LILLY

I’m going to my bedroom to change into mine and I think I might have a few spare ones that you guys can use!

She gets up from her seat and goes in the house.

WILLIAM

I don’t need a bathing suit and I’ll show you why!

He stands up and pulls his shorts down a bit to reveal his bathing suit.

MAGGIE

Ah I see your already wearing one wish I’d thought of that!

JUDITH

Yeah if I did we wouldn’t be in this mess!

Then Lilly comes back wearing her bathing suit and socks on her feet.

Guys good news I found these in my draw!

She hands them  a bathing suit each.

You can use my bedroom to change if you want!

The girls go in the house to get changed leaving Lilly to talk to William.

LILLY

William I’m sorry but I couldn’t find a bathing suit for you!

WILLIAM

No biggie I have mine on under my clothes!

He stands up to show her

WILLIAM

That’s a relief  we don’t want to see that around here do we!

WILLIAM

Then Alan Lilly’s Dad comes up to them.

We’re just about to eat do you want your food where you are or at the big table!

LILLY

We’ll have our food here if that’s alright Dad!

ALAN

Sure sweetheart not a problem!

He kissers her on the forehead.

Then Maggie and Michelle return wearing the bathing suits Lilly gave them.

LILLY

Perfect lets get a Photo!

Lilly takes a photo of them with her phone.

Then Judith comes back wearing a Bathing suit the seems a little loose.

JUDITH

Lilly are you sure this won’t come off when I go in the pool!

LILLY

Judith I am positive it will be fine!

Then Alan puts a plate of hamburgers on the table.

ALAN

Here you go enjoy!

MAGGIE

ALAN

He walks away and joins some other people at the big table.

LILLY

Guys lets dig in!

They all eat the hamburgers when they have finished Maggie burps so does William

Maggie looks around she doesn’t see Emma anywhere

They are standing looking at the water.

William takes off his clothes to reveal his bathing suit then he jumps so do the girls.

Maggie shoes Judith a bathing suit that looks like the one she was wearing

I found this in the pool!

Maggie keeps looking down at Judith

Judith looks down at herself and she sees she is naked in the pool this embarrasses Judith!

JUDITH

I think I need to be alone excuse me!

Judith gets out of the pool she goes back in the house covering her parts with her hands.

That was unexpected!

I’ll go and see if she is alright I do assume she has gone to your bedroom!

Judith is sitting on Lilly’s bed now wearing her clothes then Maggie enters the room

MAGGIE

Judith I’m sorry about what happened I don’t think anyone saw if they did it will be okay!

JUDITH

How can it be okay I was naked Maggie everyone could see and you were having a good look too what’s up you turning lesbian or something!

MAGGIE

Lilly is walking along the corridor now wearing her normal clothes then she spots Emma talking to Maggie

She didn’t turn up for my Barbecue I’ll have it out with her right now!

Shed walks up to Emma and pushes her towards the wall.

EMMA

Excuse me that’s not very nice!

Can the sweet talk Emma  I want Answers I want to know why you didn’t come to my Barbecue on Saturday!

EMMA

You want to know why okay I’ll tell you its not you Lilly I just don’t like Barbecues and us Kensingtons have never been to a Barbecue in our lives!

LILLY

(ANGRY)

That it because of some stupid family honor you can’t go to a Barbecue well I;ll tell you one thing Emma I’m not inviting you to anything again don’t talk to me again goodbye!

Lilly walks away from Emma and walks over to Maggie

MAGGIE

Wow I’ve never seen this side of you before Lilly!

LILLY

I just don’t like it when people don’t turn up to events I have gone to a lot of trouble to arrange  and I meant every word I said to that piece of trash!

Lilly points at Emma

MAGGIE

Lilly I get it your angry just  have a drink of water from the drinking fountain!

Lilly does what Maggie says she walks over to the fountain and turns it on and drinks the water.

LILLY

Ah that’s better now I can concentrate!

INT, THE HARGREAVES HOUSE-EVENING

Alan and Lilly are sitting at a small round table having dinner in the kitchen but Alan sees that Lilly isn’t eating hers and decides to find out why.

Lilly sweetheart don’t you like my stew!

I do Dad yes I have something on my mind right now!

ALAN

You want to tell me what the problem is I might be able to help!

Okay I’ll tell you I had an argument with a girl at school because she didn’t turn up at the Barbecue and I told her I’m not inviting her to anything else again!

ALAN

This girl you had an argument with and told you weren’t inviting to anything else again it wasn’t Maggie Simpson was it!

LILLY

No Dad it wasn’t me and Maggie are still friends and always will be!

ALAN

INT, KENSINGTON’S CAKES-THE NEXT DAY

Alan is in the store making a delivery of cakes for Avery he comes to Alan and signs for them then Alan remembers he needs to talk with him about Lilly and Emma

ALAN

Mr Kensington there is something I need to talk to you about!

AVERY

Really then lets get on with it old bean!

ALAN

As you may know Emma and My daughter Lilly aren’t talking to each other because she didn’t turn up to our Barbecue last week!

AVERY

Yes and there is a reason why I didn’t allow her to turn up because we Kensingtons don;t go to Barbecues!

ALAN

Mr Kensington all  that happened was food and possibly a swim in the pool and you don’t want your daughter to come to her now ex friends house if that’s the case I have half of mind to cancel all future deliveries to your bakery!

AVERY

So let it be!

ALAN

Before I leave I have something for you!

AVERY

Really old boy what could it be!

Alan grabs a cream cake from the shelf and puts it all over Avery’s Face

I think our contract is now void now will you kindly vacate my bakery!

Alan turns around and exits the bakery.

LATER BACK AT THE HARGREAVES HOUSE-THAT EVENING

Lilly and Alan are sitting at the round table in the kitchen having dinner

LILLY

How did it go with Mr Kensington!

ALAN

Not what I thought would happen  he seems to be on his Daughter’s side!

LILLY

Well he will be the aging old faggot!

ALAN

Lilly please don’t use words like that!

LILLY

I’m sorry Dad!

Lilly starts to cry because its not going right for her so Alan gets off his seat and walks over to Lilly he gives her nice cuddle

ALAN

After a cuddle from her Dad Lilly feels a bit better.

Do you want me to sort it out with Emma tomorrow!

ALAN

I’m not going to force you to do something you don’t want to do if you want to make up with Emma that’s fine with me but I no longer have a contract with Kensington’s cakes and I think I am banned from the bakery!

LILLY

Dad what did you do!

ALAN

I got a cream cake of the shelf and I put it in his face and covered his face in cream!

Lilly starts to laugh and this pleases Alan

ALAN

Yes it is funny isn’t it!

LILLY

Yes it is and I’ll have a talk with Emma tomorrow at school!

ALAN

Okay Sweetheart but make sure you talk nice to her!

LILLY

INT, THE SIMPSONS KITCHEN-DAY

The Simpsons are sitting at the table having breakfast.

MAGGIE

Can’t wait to go to school today as we are going swimming!

LISA

MAGGIE

Oh yes I am good in the water but Gerald keeps trying to drown me no idea why!

BART

Then the school bus arrives and Maggie exits the house and  gets on the bus.

EXT, SPRINGFIELD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL-DAY

Maggie is now wearing a towel and talking to Lisa about what happened.

and then Gerald got beaten up by Richie Bart’s friend really great to watch after all the things that Gerald has done to me over the years about time he got his just deserts!

IN MAGGIE’S BEDROOM

Maggie is now in bed wearing her PJ’s with her teddy bear and Lisa is tucking her in.

Bart is sitting up in bed reading a comic  when a note is pushed under his door he gets out of bed and picks up the note, the note is written in crayon and it reads Thank you from Maggie.
