now onto actual headcanons:

-Cappers is made of paint. That’s why he keeps the bucket on his head, he’s just… he’s literally made of paint. He’s also somewhat blind but I’ll get into that hc another time

-Cappers, Basquiat, and (somewhat) Cam have a weird shapeshifting ability where they can change how they want to look. Just comes with being made of paint/ink/whatever the hell Cam is

-Ricky makes up for being the only human one by being the strongest one. I don’t know how, but he can lift all of them off his shoulders for like a good 5 minutes.

-Bizarre has chromethesia, which means he can see colors with sounds. It’s how he makes his outfits; just puts on a random song and lets the colors flow to him

-Wakogma’s antennae sort of have a mind of their own? Think of the phenomenon where people have thrown out their retainers because their body found it to be uncomfortable. He either can’t wear anything over them, or it has to be something soft, so it doesn’t get flung across the room.

-No clue if it’s already canon, but Percy is a dabbles-in-everything doctor. He’s just managed to study anything under the medical or psychological field, so Yes he can be your therapist.

-Selective mute Ricky. Talk to the hand if you disagree /joke

-Percy, despite being a nervous wreck, is the lovey-dovey one in him and Isa’s relationship. Isa is still figuring it out

-Coney behavior is hermit-crab like. Also they hide babies underneath the cone (hi publi if you see this hiiii)

-Transmasc Jorge? Anyone?

always wondered what happened to everyone else at the end of the game. was the horseman aware of the hotel, and ended up going in to soothe the souls inside? visiting each floor, the elevator not breaking down once because this was meant to happen, and bringing peace to the guests. gently petting the crows, having small talk with the chompers, and playing with the lil chucklers until they decide that they’re ready to leave. his patience unwavering as he slowly makes his way to the very bottom. the door opening to a dark room. he can’t tell what’s in it or what it is, but he knows who is there. sob huddled up in fear in anger in confusion—desperately trying to get him away—until a firm hand is planted on his shoulder. sob can’t remember the last time he cried. he can’t remember if he even could in this world, yet he so desperately wanted to. this is how he realizes that the cycle must continue, no matter how much he tries to erase it. sob lets out a choked cry, a sob, and for a brief moment there is comfort. there is light.

hhhii this is spoilers for the ponr autumn’s eve update. I really like a particular horseman hahaha. H. Hah. Anyways here’s a bunch of random ideas for The Soul Harvester

-harvey, being scarecrow/pumpkin thing, having very vague regeneration abilities. I like to think that it takes him all season to grow the hooks on his hands, so once they’re ready to sprout they just. Pierce out his wrist like plants and transform into hooks (they also take place of his hands for the rest of the autumn/winter, then somewhere near spring it dies/falls off, and he has his hands again)

-really flexible but in the UTTERLY NONHUMAN way. like he inverts the position of his hand to purposefully scare you

-constantly rotting and regenerating. It’s vaguely similar to how reptiles molt their skin

-keeps a collection of buttons in case he ever loses his eyes somehow

-if he, in any situation, ever wants their face to be a different expression, they have a knife on hand to just. carve holes on their face. it heals eventually but it probably has a bunch of bizarre scars on their face

-what if his horse was just made of natural materials. Vines, straw, soil, etc, and its sole purpose is to be a strong horse to tend to Harvey’s crops.

I have. Hm. Ideas the ideas ooooh the brain spinner. I like pumpkinhead characters they’re real fun to work with

BASQUIAT AND BIZARRE HAVE A RIVALRY. BECAUSE BIZARRE THINKS BASQUIAT’S CLOTHES ARE LOW QUALITY. SO I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO DRAW THEM PHYSICALLY FIGHTING LIKE BROKEN NOSES AND BLOODIED KNUCKLES. DOES ANYONE GET MY VISION.

I think David is a very interesting character from beginning to end. Despite only being the town secretary, he takes up most of the duties that the town mayor should be doing. He handles disputes, he helps advertise people and their jobs, he takes care of kids, all while he has a pile of papers waiting back at his office. AND not to mention he still puts in the time to visit the graveyard to mourn his friends, or even spends time with the townspeople like doing graffiti with basquiat or hanging out with greg. he truly shows a lot of love and care for such a simple town and it’s such a big burden on him but he wouldn’t have it any other way

So the idea of having to leave it behind because of his past mistakes must’ve been devastating. I’ve even heard that David wasn’t even originally like that—the MIG supposedly experimented on him, potentially because of his behavior—so now he lives in constant fear of something that will haunt him forever. Our character is struck by a curiosity that can never be reversed and a greed that can never be fulfilled. I wonder if our player actually has affiliations to the MIG after all…

Also hey, if you get the chance (and if you want to, no pressure of course), check out The Beginning and The End some more! I think I already mentioned it but the tablet has some neat hidden codes, and there’s a secret ending you can access in the game :3c

After finishing isas quest i literally had to do david moore’s quest (due to being urged on by a certain someone) and… wow i dont even know how i should feel.

In the scenario i understood everything from the MIG pad and that there is angsty, soggy mannequins with zombie tar inside the bottom of the ocean that may or may not have been freed thanks to us, the implications are terrifying.

Let me put my thoughts together slowly. First of all, when david said “I always sort of acted as the figure of authority here”, i feel like i focused on that more than i needed to but it feels like it has important implications. This town is indeed a small town, and theres not much things like emergency services here. The place literally has only one doctor. Not only does this give the characters a lot of weight and natural importance, but it makes their lack of presence felt deeply. Gotta love the small parts of this game.

Second, it’s genuinely sad how david had to spiral when making sure the puzzles were executed correctly. He’s not some loner, he has a social life and friendships. But his involvement with the MIG had to take that away from him.

Third, him making his way to the building himself is quite confusing, and it throws a wrench in the mental timeline of things. Does this take place before or after the player boltcuts their way in? It’s interesting.

Fourth, I think the ending sequence is just so good at instilling that dread of “we just did something irreversible”. The way you slowly wander through thick water as mannequins slowly go from being absent, to appearing through windows, to eventually swarming you is such a damn good way to represent realization.

I really do wish we could meet david in a non-stressed environment. He seems like a chill guy, but we’re probably never gonna see that and experience that because of what he’s done, what he’s been linked to.

A lot of games in this scenario would maybe do some flashback or something to show off what he’d usually be like, but the best we get are other people reminiscing. No being shown anything. I honestly like it better this way, because it cements that feeling that this is serious, and he’s lost his innocence ever since what happened in the MIG. Devs blew it out of the water (pun intended) with this one.
