I’ll explain the LORE and backstory under the cut

OKAY so. Silly fun lore. Why do they look like that? (Also They/He pronouns for our version of Sky /info (I’m projecting a little))

SO. The basic idea is that in my personal canon/writing, Sky is actually from the Aether, along with Herobrine (who is their dad). Well, due to some fucked up stuff, many many years ago, the portals linking the Aether to the overworld and other realms were banned/forbidden (hence why they don’t ‘work’ in base game), but there’s one place that actually links the Aether to the overworld still.

The Farlands.

The Farlands are actually this ever shifting, sort of pocket dimension, that acts like a barrier between the Aether and the Overworld, but it’s insanely difficult to catch it and get inside.

Now, I’m still working out some of the lore, but Sky was partly raised in the Aether, then at some point they moved and lived in the farlands for a majority of their life.

Sky and Herobrine are already pretty different from even just normal Aetherians, they’re both sort of godlike, with abilities that people just don’t really have, especially in the Overworld.

(Also Herobrine isn’t really a threatening person, he’s considered a myth by people in the Overworld because of the normal Herobrine things he’s done, but he’s never actually harmed anyone. He’s actually a major doofus. Fun dad vibes.)

(Also also, Sky’s mom is the Farlander, if you’ve ever seen the Campfire Tales skin pack :3)

So anyway, due to growing up in the Farlands, which are constantly shifting and distorting, it sorta fucks up your body. People normally can’t stick around very long in it or else they’ll start breaking apart into pieces.

Now because Sky grew up there, they’re relatively stable, and can maneuver around no problem. But the distortion comes when they go to the Overworld.

Their body isn’t used to the stillness of it. So it causes them to glitch and distort and break apart into blocky pieces (which doesn’t hurt, not for them anyway, being Aetherian AND godlike has some perks for quick healing/pain tolerance), so when they were like 16 they wanted to go and explore, so their dad gave them the amulet, which sort of mutes their powers and helps stabilize them in the overworld. (Essentially making them a normal person. Also idk how the amulet works don’t ask me. It’s made out of holy stone and zanite (Aether mod :3))

Without the amulet, they become. Like that.

So yeah that’s the lore :3 any questions?

When you get hit with a wave of nostalgia for your first fandom in middle school and hunt for your old fanart to redraw, just to find your first and only comic and decide you want to redraw THAT. You can totally do better, it’s just 2 pages it won’t take too long. Then realize none of what you made in middle school makes sense so now you have to flesh out the characters and lore and now it’s up to 4 pages of thumbnails and you’re not even past the first arc.

Yeah so there may be a whole comic series about old evil MCYTs (specifically Enderlox, Skybrine, and WitherMU) in the future. Figured I might as well post what I’ve got so far here and see if anyone’s interested in jumping back into that nostalgic brain rot lol

I’m still gonna make it, but I would like to see if there’s even an interest in this old relic lol

Side note, I have no idea why but middle school me drew the panels to be read from left to right but wrote the dialogue to be read from right to left

So ya'll I just thought of this, I think Skybrine/Sky was related to Herobrine in some way, right? And since Eret is related to Herobrine in some way, wouldn't they be related? (It was confirmed by Eret that the character would be related to Herobrine in some way.)

I don't know how my mind thought of this honestly. Just popped into my head.

Hels is a nice place, despite the rumors. It is a sanctuary for those who can run no longer, and the ones who naturally live there are called evil despite never doing anything wrong.

Doesn't stop people from attacking them when they manage to get inside.

When an attack leaves many people injured, Helsknight brings up a way for him to possibly get help.

It's risky, but it's their only chance.
