Just sitting here thinking about how I don’t understand why Wedding Plan wasn’t more popular. The story was sweet, chemistry was excellent between the couples, it highlighted a real world issue many queer folks have to navigate, the NC scenes were sexy as hell - it was up there with one of the best BLs I’ve watched honestly.

I find it so weird how people shit on Mame so often for being “problematic” and yet they didn’t want to watch a series she put out that was totally unproblematic? The worst thing is Lom misleading Nuea and his mother, but if you listen, you realize he was very carefully *not* lying, and simply skirting the truth because he was in a very difficult situation. (Do they really love the “problematic” content but feel the need to publicly loudly pretend otherwise? Maybe)

Or they wrote it off completely because they didn’t like the kiss between the GL couple? It makes zero sense to me, and I have seen many people say that. There was a whole discussion on one Reddit thread I saw. And yeah, I agree that Katheryn did not do a good job with the kissing - Aya was clearly trying, but wasn’t given much to work with. But they weren’t the main couple, the main couple had excellent kisses, and they were so freaking adorable in all their other scenes. I really want to see Aya in a GL where she’s the lead.

Whenever I tried to engage on Twitter or a bit on here, it was like nobody was talking about it. Aya liked some of my tweets, and I honestly think she saw it just because so few people were tweeting about the episodes!

Or there’s people who wouldn’t watch it bc they thought Mame was using Boss, Noeul, Fort, and Peat for “clout,” when their cameos made perfect sense and were incredibly sweet moments for two of my favorite BL couples! I was so happy to have those sweet moments of closure for their stories.

Anyway, if you didn’t watch Wedding Plan for whatever reason, I highly encourage you to watch it! I’m sad I can’t get the special episode legally in the US, I would have bought it. I suspect she didn’t have it available in as many countries as Love in the Air because it was less popular.

Which BL Couple do you want to see in a Sequel?

And not just a cameo or an Our Skyy 2-episode arc.

HIStory 3: Trapped (2019, above) - I want to keep seeing how their relationship works as their morals clash.

Bad Buddy (2021) - I know we risk ruining a good thing and that we got the Our Skyy episodes, but I could watch more of these two as they learn to nurture their relationship in spite of the negativity surrounding them.

Not Me (2021) - There is SO much that can be done in this universe with these twin rebel characters. They should absolutely revive it as LGBTQIA legislation and police corruption evolves in Thailand.

Love is Science? (2021, above) - I could watch 12 whole episodes of Ou Wen learning to trust playboy bi Mark.

Semantic Error (2022, top) - Park Seoham returns from military service later this year, but IDK. I feel like there's not much else to explore here. Loved every minute of it though.

KinnPorsche (2022) - This is another couple that I feel ran its course. I would sooner watch a spinoff of Kim and Chay, even though I think Jeff Satur is more interested in music these days, because I need to know if Kim loved Chay or if he just pitied him. Plus, Kim is next-gen mob boss and I'd love to see it. And while I did enjoy Pete & Vegas, it appears we are still up in the air about whether the actor who played Pete...is a piece of sh*t. What a plot twist?

Love in the Air (2022) - Both couples contributed some of the best sex scenes to BL history, but I doubt there's more story to tell.

The Eighth Sense (2023) - They fucked me all the way up. 😭 Made To My Star 2 seem like a cake walk. I need a sequel just to know where this is going.

Day 47: Favourite Confession Scene

*stares into the camera like I’m in The Office* there can be only one choice.

The journal confession scene between Prapai and Sky from Love In The Air. I have an…unhealthy obsession totally normal relationship with this scene.

While it wasn’t very well of Pai to break into Sky room, it continues his trend of knowing Sky better than Sky thinks he does. He knows that Sky is holding back, perhaps not exactly how much he’s holding back but Pai knows he is. Pai knows he needs a way to get Sky to admit how he feels, one way or another. This becomes especially true when Sky begins to pull away after misunderstanding an interaction between Pai and another guy (which realistically Pai is at least a little at fault for but that’s for another day). So Pai makes the kind of awful but seemingly necessary decision to find out the answers on his own since he refuses to allow his and Sky’s budding relationship to end the way Sky seem determined to make it end. Then he finds the journal, and he reads it. Then he reads it out loud to Sky.

The journal is what Sky really thinks, true and unfiltered in a way Sky was only just beginning to be with Pai. He answers so many questions but leaves even more open. Pai gets a glimpse into how Sky thinks, how much Sky holds back both in his feelings about Pai and his feelings about himself. Sky is desperate to be loved and he thought he had found it in Pai, only for that interaction to happen. Sky convinces himself that break up their relationship/situationship is for the best rather than wait and hear or see something worse.

The journal I think also gives Pai the courage to truly ask Sky how he feels for the first time without being light hearted about it, because it’s what they both need. It gives him hope that he isn’t alone in his feelings of love. So he words how he feels carefully to let Sky know, he doesn’t just like him anymore, he loves him and he is really hoping Sky feelings the same way.

Pai has been the push factor in Sky’s life since he entered it and even now he will continue to push Sky into being true to himself, no matter what. It is exactly what Sky needs but is scared to want. With the journal’s help, Sky doesn’t have to he scared of it anymore. Prapai isn’t going anywhere. Instead he will continue to push Sky forward until Sky can do it himself again and then he will be happy to watch Sky becomes more and more himself.

“Prapai.” Payu warns.

“What?” asks Prapai. “He likes to risk his life doing stupid things, so why not go back to the source of his favorite danger, and go hiking? He won’t need his right hand doing that.”

“I don’t need my right hand to do a lot of things,” spits out Sky. “Why don’t you come over here and find out what those things are!”

“One of those things involves your mouth, doesn’t it?”
