since ur here I'll also explain it a bit more...

obviously SLS is echorator in this AU. Her close connection with the Void Sea due to this makes her a frequent target for channeling various entities, willingly or not

some sort of entity? force of nature? will? idk. it's called The Will Of The Void, I guess

and it wants to enforce that cycles remain perpetuated even as timelines are reset or branch out or etc. More specifically in this case it is trying to enforce that specific individuals who became echoes in another timeline shall become echoes once again in this one

and thus SLS can either help willingly or be puppeted against her will, yay! 👍

SEER [STEVE LEGENDS/RAINBOW QUEST]

I LOOOVED that Void in this timeline had an actual corruption/reason to be evil. I like TSS, but TSS! Void’s reasoning was just a little.. eh-

But Seer’s corruption (from what i remember) could be a parallel of RQ! Rainbow’s (orange) corruption in a way:

Dread’s corruption put seeds of doubt into Seer and his own abilities, and eventually Void (Seer) put those same doubts into (orange) Rainbow via that corrupted Violet Steve.

HC: He has a sort of fallen Angel motif.

I still have yet to make a HC design for him but I think he’s a fun character ^^ Like a mini Professor Red. And I live the rhyming trait, it’s so unique (at least from media ive seen). It makes him feel like less of a direct copy of Prof Red.

ppl are saying the SL Winner is associated with the Void (Abt the Sun Star Moon etc symbolism) and ily— gonna expand on that and say he is the sky, the vast, the heaven everyone is trying to get their good (and bad) tasks to reach.

For the first in a Life Series the winner gets to live longer. When the winner ends his season, he ends it with gratitude and optimism for the future as the guy is granted freedom - an open, infinite sky :]

I ALSO THINK ABOUT SL-1 FREQUENTLY. like dude imagine you work at a nuclear reactor. you're from the army and you're working there at night and you and your coworkers aren't even thirty yet. you're three weeks into this job and the two guys you're working with that night hate each other and you're all immature and they have problems with authority because god you're only in your twenties. one of them just got a call from his wife saying she wants a divorce and now he's the one in charge of lifting the 80lbs central control rod that controls the entire chain reaction of the whole reactor with his bare hands. he lifts it just a few inches too high and you don't even have a moment to realize that you die. you all die and you're not even thirty. and then the fucking army thinks your coworker did it on purpose because they think your other coworker was fucking his wife !!!!!!!!

Steve legends is actually so tragic when you think about it

I have to say something since this is always on my mind

!! Spoilers for Steve legends under the cut !!

(And some spoilers for twisted rainbow and rainbow quest)

Only one person in the entire series got a somewhat happy ending.

And if was Professor Red/ Googles, but even then you can question if he really got a good ending!

Like he lost is sanity and all of his friends, but he lived to the end of rainbow quest and he can technically get therapy but man.

And everyone else is dead.

Let me list it off.

The giants, obsidian, winter, ocean, desert and forest steve’s are dead.

And you can even argue that the obsidian steves don’t even get to go to the world beyond because they were made by the first curse and aren’t in this screenshot of all the dead people

Dream stopped existing when dread was defeated

Genisis and The Judge died from void

You can guess a chunk of red steve’s died

No clue what Alex is doing but if she has a similar plot to Origin, then she is probably in for a sad time

Galaxy was destroyed in rainbow quest

we have time and elemental but by the end rainbow quest el is dead and we have no clue what happened to time. (I think he was absorbed by the first curse in twisted rainbow)

Elite leader became ghost steve and probably was alone without any other resting steves.

He got to have his peace so you can argue he got a happy ending but I personally take the fact he was a ghost for a while as something tragic

Spark was infected by darkness and became Rainbow Red. Ended up getting destroyed in RQ

Beef was infected by darkness and gained the faceless curse. And he ended up getting destroyed in RQ (that’s all I’ll say because I can go on for hours about this man)

Sharp became the great librarian which caused him to become VERY isolated and he also had to see Beef gain the faceless curse. Also was destroyed in RQ

Red leader was placed into a full time leadership position in a tense time when he was an apprentice for like 5 months- also he has to see the Red Kingdom get destroyed by Void. And he also became Hypno which is a whole can of worms in itself

Seer became Void and he just… Seer would be horrified at what Void did. Bro was thrown around like a rag doll

Also did anyone else know the word Seer means prophet/ one who sees? …and he foresaw his future…. Man, foreshadowing….

All the leaders/ kings probably didn’t get to go to the world beyond due to being the crystals

I do like to think that by the end of RQ they all got their peace

The most ther color steves probably were very traumatized after hearing what happened which is probably why all the other colors lowkey never really talked to each other after everything

And now Colle. We have NO clue what happened to that man after walking though the portal. He could be dead, he could be alive. But even if he didn’t go through the portal or is alive, the trauma of losing so many people he grew close bonds with and the belief of it being his fault and also being the hero at one point would definitely not do well for his mental health. And also seeing his friends in the Red Kingdom die, fall to corruption or a curse would also not be good for him. (That’s if he didn’t go through the portal)

Maybe it was a good thing that he went through the portal actually.

Like that’s all horrible. Like what if Prof Red attempted to bring his friends back? Like what if he learned how to contain darkness but it was too late to save anyone?

What if he took the sample from Saber in hopes to contact Alex to see if she can bring back Colle? What if he experimented with the demon portals because he heard Colle went through one but didn’t know which portal?

Like let’s not forget that Colle and Red were besties.

I could make a whole analysis on a bunch of steve legends characters. Or an angsty animatic or art which is giving me ideas…
