Hallen was working on the roof as he saw all the people coming towards his house.  He stayed out of sight and floated down on the side of the house.  He put his hammer in his belt and waved to the people in front of him as he walked into sight in front of his home.  "Hello there.  Lost are we?"

Rapunzel sighed, looking out the window. It was another boring day in her tower. She'd done all her chores, baked several pies and read all her books. It was cold today, and she wrapped her arms around herself. She wondered if it would snow. She'd never seen snow, only read about it in books, and heard of it in Christmas carols. She began to hum one softly to herself. "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose..."

To Long for a Family

“I thought this might happen.” Pitch walked forward, standing not far behind Jack. “They never really believed in you. I was just trying to show you that. But I understand….” He watched as Jack tried to shoot ice towards him but quickly blocked it with his sand as he shook his head. He had so much strength due to the nightmares and as the spirit continued to attack. ‘He didn’t understand anything’? He was infuriated by such a statement as he started to shout.

He had been on the defensive but now it was his turn to fight. “No?! I don't know what it's like to be cast out?!” His eyes followed the spirit as Jack moved into the air and suddenly snow, ice, and wind surrounds them but not for long. “To not be believed in. To long for a family...” He turns to face the spirit and saw the look of compassion for only a second on the other’s features as Jack finally decided to listen to him.

His anger fades to almost exhaustion. He just wanted someone to listen to him, to understand. Jack would be the only one that could because they were the same. “All those years in the shadows I thought, no one else knows what this feels like. But now I see I was wrong.” They locked eyes and for once it felt as though Jack could feel that connection. He was making a real offer and hoped the other would take it seriously. “We don't have to be alone, Jack.”

“I believe in you.” He hoped those few words could make a difference. “And I know children will too.” Pitch almost smiled when Jack said the two simple words, ‘in me’. He knew he just might get through to the spirit. “Yes! Look at what we can do!” His hand moved up to the large sculpture that they created together when their powers collided. “What goes better than cold and dark? We can make them believe. We'll give them a world where everything, everything is…” He turns to face Jack. “Pitch black…”

He realized how that looked and quickly clarified. “And Jack Frost too. They’ll believe in both of us.” He was allowing himself to be vulnerable for the first time in hundred of years. He was no fool. He couldn’t do this without Jack Frost. They wanted the same thing and now was their chance to get it. They could both be believed in. Forever.

[The young lady's slightly stoic face grew a soft smile. Jack Frost.. She brushed down at her black dress, straightening the small ripples in the silky fabric.]

When she was younger Sigyn was always told she would be free to marry who she wanted, marry for love and it would be her eldest sister who would be the one forced to suffer from an arranged marriage. But with her now married, peace was once again needed between Asgard and Vanaheim, so Sigyn was given her new duty, to marry the youngest Prince of Asgard.

The thought of being shipped off and sold to the Aesir like a cow at market made Sigyn feel sick, she couldn't do it, she had always been promised she would marry for love, to be able to choose who she would spend her life with. Instead she was stuck with a man she had never met. 

In a childish moment she decided to rebel against her family, her duties and her realm. Muttering a spell she found in a dusty old spell book she felt herself being dragged backwards and soon ended up being thrown into a pile of snow. Sigyn hit her head against something hard and everything went black.
