AITA for attempting to dethrone a seemingly incompetent ruler?

This... requires some backstory. I was (and for the time being, still am) in a high-ranking position of power next to the Queen of our kingdom. For legal/safety reasons I'll keep details vague, but long story short our kingdom took a massive hit from the DF War. It's still struggling to recover while other places with less heavy losses have managed to bounce back. So, you'd think, now that a certain someone has returned to cause even more problems, the number one priority should be restoring our home back to how it was and protecting it. And that's sort of what our Queen did? But not really.

Again, keeping it vague, but she essentially placed the kingdom and everyone in it in stasis - indefinitely. To preserve, yes, but as far as I'm aware she intended on keeping it like this for good. Which - I don't need to elaborate on how existentially terrifying that is, but she kept this fact a secret from the entire population (save for me and two others she trusts with that information).

I understand her hesitance to let go of what was lost. Sure. But there is so much still at stake - and it wasn't like there was no other option but to keep us stuck there, stagnating in some illusion of grandeur. I was constantly presenting my own ideas - as patiently as I was able - of how to expand our kingdom's defences etc., and she might entertain one for every five she shot down. Eventually one has to say enough is enough!

But I maybe went a little too far with how to deal with her.

Food for thought: how do you deal with someone in charge who shouldn't be? Especially when everyone else seems to worship the very ground she walks on? One might answer - by taking the source of their power. Whatever it is, that's the first and crucial step to deconstructing their regime. I think this is a sensible enough line of logic. And, yes, maybe not everyone agreed with my methods, even the handful that did agree our Queen needed dealing with (I did try to recruit a close friend to my cause under the impression she shared my view, which... was a mistake).

Anyway, now I've had a lot of time alone to think, and I'm coming to the realisation that when I'm given the amount of power the Queen has, and left to my own devices... I flip out a little. Which is MAYBE an indication I went about this the wrong way.

So I ask you, whoever you are - looking at this with fresh eyes - AITA?

Okay so I swear not EVERYTHING i've been drawing is Magsev...if its not MS its THIS................

Me and @ceaselesswatchersspecialboy (upon the world ending event in which I terrorised his dms with all my inner musings) cooked up this au in which Agnes leaves the cult to follow Gertrude and several things happen. and its insane. and theres a spinoff au to the au of like what if bookburning (them) were jmart . this art in particular is bookburning breaking into the morgue in america (agnes has no idea gerty is about to skin gerry the poor fella) its insane. here take doodles

(theyve nicknamed themselves Monty and Robin....Gertrude would use Monty as a snippy degradation of 'Agnes Montague' but it quickly became affectionate....and Agnes calls Gertrude 'Robin' in response)

we have a kind of plot where like. the old archives staff were freinds with agnes in a way esp michael and gerry bc michael was one of the first not gertrude people to treat her like a human and gerry kind of becomes her and gertrude's honorary son ..and after they all die agnes goes into a sort of hiding but then delivers a statement to the institute and then erm . krills her shelf bc she has no purpose anymore but then the fearpocalypse is triggered shortly after and she has her own domain but as opposed to Jude's violent destruction domain, hers is the part of the desolation that encapsulates Loss because that is all she is by the time of her death and her and jon have a conversation about destiny and avatarship and loss before she asks him to smite her and he puts her out of her misery........yeah . we cook here!

theres more doodles and stuff but i'll probably make a second post or something in the future so im stockpiling crumbs for a further infodump

also ive now seen agnes x gertrude refered to as smokyeyes online (which is GREAT by the way) but i thought of bookburning and havent seen that been used? which is strange? because it's such low hanging fruit....but wateva . enjoy

The creativeness of a ship name is inversely proportional to the main charicterness of the people being shipped. Big ones are shit like "JMart" "timsasha" or "cop/podcast lesbians" meanwhile we got "smokyeyes" "terminal velocity" and "foggyskeyes" for obscure pairings

i love how the tma fandom came up with "lonelyeyes" which is one of the most creative ship names ive ever heard and then created "jmart" that sounds like a fucking supermarket

Me thinks a power mesh bodysuit that’s absolutely covered in gems that swirl around and look like vines in dark green, mid/kelly green, and light green, on the top the sparkles fade into a deep mock v-neck where the power mesh still covers everything but it’s tight enough that you can see muscle. The gems converge back together around the v-line and there’s a tiniest three layered skirt in dark, some bright mid blue, and pastel blue low on the hips to cover the crotch. The legs of the bodysuit have no gems on the inside of the legs, it’s just the nude power mesh, but the swirling greens continue down the outer sides of the legs. The shoes are not attached to the bodysuit, and are giant platform wedges that look like something Venus McFlytrap from monster high would wear. They’re dark green and shiny and curl up the calf a little bit with more vines

There’s a three layered cape coming off the shoulders of the shirt. The bottom layer is a dark blue shiny organza/chiffon, like a slightly muted ultramarine, and cascades down into a huge train, this is the longest layer and flows like ten feet behind and spreads out wildly. The middle layer is a shade of blue similar to #0165FC, is also shiny, and is like six inches shorter than the first layer creating a teared effect. The top layer is a shiny pastel blue that has gems sprinkled over it, it’s about six inches shorter than the middle layer, the cape should look like water. Dainty sparkly green swirls/vines and small flowers creep about six inches down the pastel layer of the cape from the shoulders, there are flowers on the tops and front of the shoulders, my mind says they would be pink prairie roses, but a darker color would probably work better with the color scheme.

Makeup is an intense shimmery dark green smokyeye with bitchin eyeliner and dark green or blue lipstick.
