In case you need it
Ok so at this point I've had two people roll up to me in manual wheelchairs, well, one of them was somebody pushing somebody who was nonverbal at the time, but it still counts. They asked me why I had zip ties around my tires.
It's winter where I'm living and we have really bad snow. And the snow plow people are really bad at their jobs probably because there aren't snow plow people who clean sidewalks. As a solution I got to thinking about how I could increase the traction on my wheels. And the most redneck thing I could think of was taking a bunch of zip ties and tying them around my wheels. They last surprisingly long, and work surprisingly well. It's basically the same premise as chains for your tires during the winter.
I chose to space them out pretty evenly so there's about one for every spoke. You could probably do more or less depending on how many you want and how much traction you get but I wouldn't go more than three per spoke. I realize that it's a bit later in the winter, and I probably should have made a post about this sooner, but I came up with it about a week ago. So please share this, even if you're not disabled, because there are tons of people I know who are stuck in their houses because they can't get around in the snow. A pack of zip ties costs about $5, which compared to $200 knobby snow tires is a big save, and if you want to invest you could get colored zip ties.

Not Gonna Complain
Apparently I now (will shortly) have a set of snow tires (with only 500 miles on them) for free.
Definitely not going to complain.

Time for the semi-annual tire swap. Even if it won’t snow here anymore, snow tires are still very important when you have to get around in the winter.
Tumblr media
Air impact wrench to remove lugs, locking lug removed by hand with a breaker bar as not to damage it. The Fit has three great jack points that make the swap easy.
Tumblr media
Being in the northeast, it is a good idea to grease the mating surfaces with high temp grease so the wheels don’t rust on and get stuck to the brakes.
Tumblr media
It may not be necessary, but I torque the lug nuts in two stages, in this case 60 ft lbs before lowering the wheel to the ground, then to the full 80 when all four wheels are on.
Make sure your tires are inflated correctly, usually 1-2 psi over what is on the door label depending on how much weight you normally carry.
Bonus: snow tires and wheels from a 2004 Outback will fit on a 2016 Corolla, and lift it by about an inch:

(Outback tires on right, stock still on left side)
Feel free to ask any questions if you’re curious! There’s a little bit of math involved with finding out what’s compatible if you want to mix and match, but that just makes it more fun!

i know ren being a yearner is brought up a lot but sometimes i think about just how insane it was that he carried that glove with him all that time.
sometimes i wonder if the other thieves caught wind of him taking akechis ratty old glove wherever he goes, taking glances at it, keeping his hand in his pocket for Something to hold onto — when the two meet again i know akechi made fun of him for it. just a little.
he IS a sentimental fool, and that’s what makes him such a great character. i wonder if he had any other physical memories of akechi that he held onto

OKAY, ahah, have been rotating for some time ideas for the house in Snow bots au by Keferon, and after saw that half of characters are staff and so on I finally gave up. There are inside place for medics, separate home to live in for the staff (like constructicons) on the left side, where staff cars can stop in the garage all other cars stop in front. On the other side also livable houses + hot pool. Separate houses for warehouse and electricity. Separated houses to live in that are a bit in far in case someone doesn't like the hustle.
I wanted to doodle it out also because wanted to imagine how they can do crazy stuff more visibly, like sliding off the roof and falling down all these floors, breaking electricity, playing some kind of hide and seek, guessing who in which room stayed, coming together late at night on the first floor, getting into each other's room through balcony pffht

What a funny joke, we were all pretending that Snow White's failure was finally the box office records follwing in the trend of hating on shitty live actions but actually once again it was entirely due to..... you guessed it ......racism. It was racism, people getting upset that Disney cast a brown woman to be snow white and that Rachel Zegler didn't just keep her mouth shut like a good little girl (she just repeated Disney's marketing talk for these disney princess movies like they always say their versions of the princesses are more "empowering" literally look at Speechless from Aladdin.) Really had us in the first half tho
but then lilo and stitich came out and made 800 mil and HTTYD will probably do the same.
