i love twttin because for the second year in a row a hit has been put out on ponyboy because a girl wanted to talk to him. i also love the idea of him coming home from the dance and being like "hey guys. don't freak out but angela shepard tried to kill me tonight." and then hanging out with curly the next day like it never happened. because what does curly have to do with all that? my compartmentalizing king.

If Garrus ever learns how to use a Nerf gun, Shepard is gonna have to spend an entire evening writing up a new rule for the Normandy on why Nerf guns will no longer be permitted on the ship.

They may not entirely change his mind on his views of humanity but they changed his views on them, and he wouldn't take that for granted.

Shepard would become the most important thing to him and losing them would utterly destroy him, and you absolutely will not change my mind.

when steve gets angry he hits things, he screams, he loses control. but never towards the people he loves. he could never stoop that low, never feel himself becoming his father.

when soda gets angry he runs. he doesn't know how to express it, how to tell someone he's frustrated or annoyed or that the world has become too much, so he runs.

when darry gets angry he breaks. he lives building a dam around everything he doesn't want the world to know, everything he's ashamed of, and when something breaks that dam... anything can happen.

when dally gets angry he forces himself into indifference. emotions are weakness, no matter what kind, and if your opponent knows you're unstable, they can down you more easily. if you know him well enough, you might be able to see the storm building up in his eyes.

when johnny gets angry he takes it out on himself. he curls up and lets the anger curl inwards, tearing himself apart instead of whoever he wishes were on the receiving end. because it's all his fault really.

when two-bit gets angry he gets drunk. he can't make his dad come back, can't make his sister happy, can't make the social divide disappear. all he can do is try to forget about it.

when ponyboy gets angry he creates destructively. he writes about death and makes entire pages almost black. his pen scribbles so aggressively a hole appears in the paper and he'll always end up destroying whatever it is he's made.

thinking about kaidan begging shepard not to leave—not to leave like everyone before them, like rahna, like ashley, like himself on horizon. kaidan not being able to forgive himself for losing people to his own mistakes. jump zero. walking away from shep. causing himself so much heartache for nothing. stay, stay because you're the only good thing that's happened to me; shepard is the only thing he feels hes done right.

if he lost them he'd never forgive himself. he'd never forgive himself for letting them be the one that got away, letting them walk away, letting everything play out just like it did before.

he can't lose another friend. he can't lose the one person left that he truly, deeply loves.

it's for this reason he messages shepard apologetically after horizon; he knows it's wrong, and he knows he's pushing shepard away like rahna pushed him away, and god if that isn't eating him alive. so he messages the commander and reassures that he wants to trust them but needs time and needs them away from cerberus.

and in the end it's all for nothing because shepard still leaves like everyone else, and all he can do is hope his words are enough and that the commander's final words to him won't hang so heavy. and he's doing it all over again, watching them die again

I have finished another reference sheet! Behold: my first non-pillars or dishonored art piece. Her name is Harper Shepard, she is an Infiltrator who in Mass Effect 2 developed some bioatic powers. She is a war hero spacer and she is also a lesbian and loves her wife Tali very much. <3

okay so the THING about franklin shepard inc is that it’s the saddest thing ever and just listening to it without seeing frank’s utterly stony devastated face isnt the full picture… he doesnt move the entire time it’s just over he’s done. have you ever seen someone’s soul just die. it hits so hard that they love each other so much and it isn’t enough. charley’s betrayal of frank on the talk show is probably the worst thing he could have done, the worst way, but it was the only way he could do it. it had to be public because frank became a public entity. but the worst part of it, the most unforgivable crime, is that he’s trying to be kind and he’s doing it out of love. he doesnt even have the decency to betray frank with cruelty or callousness. that would have made sense to frank, that would have been digestible, probably even forgivable. but in their final moments of their friendship the worst part is that charley’s betrayal is sincerely selfless! he ruins frank’s life because he loves him too much. and that’s not processable or acceptable

She's not thinking about her sense of duty or saving the entire Milky Way or how she's probably going to die in the moment; she's thinking about the people she loves the most and how she's doing this all for them and I'm absolutely TORN over it
