Ace -  He already hates that more and more people are interacting and falling in love with you and making his job a lot harder, but Ace seeing you get gifts from them makes his blood boil all the hotter. Whether it’s someone from one of the other dorms, or his ‘friend’ Deuce, he’s still going to be angry about it. But he’ll try his best not to show it, he’ll just toss it away and laugh it off while making it very clear that he has his arm wrapped around you as a display of ownership.

Deuce - His mom’s situation made him get used to frugality, and one of his goals since meeting you is to become an honor student so that he can make sure you don’t have to go through that same life out of his love for you. So watching you take or wear something else’s gift, his rival, ‘friend’ and roommate's gift, he’ll break it as soon as he can get it out of your hands. And  Ace is going to have one hell of a black eye after this…

Trey - With Trey liking to have some control over you, he doesn’t like the idea of you getting gifts from others, especially if you like them. But instead of getting angry and causing the destruction of whatever you were given, he prefers to just give you more and more of the gifts he gives you. Sure he might have to force them down your throat and yes, you may not like whatever he put in them, but you won’t have to worry about getting any more unsolicited gifts for a very long time. 

Cater - Cater’s going to have to replace his phone screen because of how fast it’s going to crack in his grip as soon as you receive your gift. Watch his bright and upbeat smiled vanish into icy coldness in seconds, and I can guarantee you are not going to have the best time. By that I mean you will receive another gift from him, one that’s very Magicam-able, Play matching tattoos that can guarantee you are his and only his.

Riddle - He’ll be turning red in seconds we knew this. He already hates seeing you send so much time with the Adeuce duo, but seeing you wearing the gifts makes him fume. Expect a lecture as he rips them off you about how you broke a rule you probably forgot but somehow broke by having a gift from someone else that wasn’t him. He’ll still be fuming over it after he’s calmed down, so expect your friends to be suddenly very busy for the coming weeks to months.

Jack - With how much he tries to respect your boundaries in favor of wooing you the normal way,  he’ll bite his tongue when someone tries to give you a gift. So if Epel was to give you a gift of some hand craven figurines, he’d growl through gritted teeth. He’d try his best, try so hard to keep himself from tearing his friend’s throat out with his teeth so that he can alleviate the boiling jealousy that makes the beast within him howl in fury. You’ll find his jacket on your shoulders afterwards though, in an attempt to mark you with his scent and remind the whole world that you’re his because that’s the only way he can stop himself from digging his teeth into the back of your neck. 

Ruggie - Ruggie’s always been a tiny step above flat broke. So he can’t help but despise whoever comes to you bearing expensive gifts that he could only dream of giving you.  He’ll steal it and maybe sell it in hopes of actually giving you something nice, but that’s not enough. Jealousy always provoked his appetite and he would not mind getting some pathetic noodle-armed whelp’s blood on his fangs. 

Leona - No guesses needed on who he’s pissed at. Leona’s prepared to make a pair of dragon skin boots for you as your next gift. Watching you wearing some heirloom jewellery that the lizard gave you has him prepared to cause an international disaster to cool his rage and turn the aforementioned overgrown lizard into sand. That or you’re going to have his teeth on your neck. No choices, herbivore. 

Floyd - Word to the wise, maybe just don’t interact with someone when Floyd is around with how easily he gets jealous. You could just be talking to someone and he’d pick you up and squeeze you till your ribs creak from the strain because of it. Should he find one of Jade’s earrings on your person that he knows that he didn’t give you, send a prayer to your ribcage and spine because he’s going to squeeze you until he gets the answers he wants or till you can talk your way out of it. 

Jade - Like his twin, don’t interact with Jade if you desire your safety. Similarly, if he were to uncover Floyd’s gifted earring on your person, send a prayer to whoever is listening. Unlike his brother, Jade maintains his calm and collected expressions while towering over you to interrogate you about why you seem to have something he didn’t give you, because as far as he knows you shouldn’t be interacting with anyone but him. 

Azul - He may be a greedy octopus but he’s also a jealous octopus. With his underlying insecurities he sees you receiving gifts from anyone that’s not him as competition that he can’t stand. Say if one hyena beastman gives you something he considers to be one step above refurbished junk, he’s going to be upset. And by upset, I mean he’s going to yank it out of your hands, destroy it and then following that ordeal will be having an octo-pity party in his room. 

Kalim - Kalim is not used to jealousy. He loves you and he loves you getting everything you want and more. But when Jamil gives you a silk shawl, he feels that ugly feeling worm itself under his skin and into his heart. But he doesn’t want to make you or Jamil think that he’s angry at you despite his jealousy. All he’ll do is just give you bigger and better gifts to remind you that he’s the better one of the two you can love. No harm, no foul and everybody ‘wins’. 

Jamil -  We all saw this coming. Jamil’s seething and mildly considering just stabbing the spoiled brat to death in his sleep so that he can kill two very big birds with one stone. He hates it more that Kalim gives you expensive gift after expensive gift in a pathetic way to spoil you as bad as he is. But he can't exactly marry you if the Asim family tries to have him killed for killing its heir. So like the barely repentant snake he is, he’ll abuse Kalim’s trust in him to stop the gift pipeline as fast as possible while taking the opportunity to give you gifts himself.

Epel - If you’re hoping to find Epel after he witnesses Jack give you some succulents, check the infirmary. He probably got into a fight regardless of whether or not he could win it.  Like a gremlin on steroids, he thought beating up whoever gave you a gift was the best way to deal with his jealous rage. It didn't work out. But hey, now he can spend all this time being tended by you. Expect to be bitten, just make sure it’s not your neck. 

Rook - Rook is one of the rare few yanderes that don’t feel the pull of jealousy. He’s giving in both a romantic way and a creepy way, poems written on perfumed paper, the pages singed with a candle’s flame, pinned to the door with an arrow; or a doll of you made out of your used bandages and hair from your brush. He has his own feeling that no gift you could get from anyone else could compare with whatever he could give you as an act of worship. Though he’ll let you enjoy all the gifts you deserve from anyone who gives it to you. 

Vil - Despite him being an amazing actor with a reputation to maintain, his flawless mask is going to crack to expose his repulsion as he learns a certain Neige LeBlanche has been sending you handmade gifts. While his mask will be up again in seconds, as he starts to deeply loathe the fact Rook interrupted him before he could kill that smiling idiot with his own naivete. Despite that, he won’t fly into an uncontrollable, murderous rage…. again, he’ll instead call it as he sees it and throw out the worthless junk Neige considers to be worth of you. 

Idia - Idia sees all through all the security cameras, so he can see all the gifts you’re given and what you refuse. That doesn’t mean he’s not jealous, he’s pouting from his self-pitying blanket cocoon, judging all the normies that when they get rejected and having his hair light fire when you rarely accept them. He does send his droids to destroy them for him and you, snickering to himself about how many L=ratios his competition deals with, while self-hating when the stuff he sends gets the destroyed treatment.

Sebek - Sebek is a secret romantic that refuses to acknowledge how much he loves you until it clicks. By virtue, he is also jealous very, very easily. So at the sight of Silver’s birds setting a flower crown on your head makes the crocodile half fae so angry that he yells so very loud that it makes all the birds on the Island shoot up into the air from panic. And then, you and Silver are going to get a very extended but clearly, totally not jealous lecture about why you shouldn’t receive gifts from anyone. Except him, not from anyone else, just him. 

Silver - Silver’s very straightforward, and he knows that you have ‘friends’ that aren’t him and for a while he's okay with it. The emphasis on ‘for a while’ is important here, when jealousy hits it hits hard and strong. If he were to find you with, say, a book Sebek gave you; at the very least he’d be one of the few that won’t lose his temper about it. He’d take it and just get rid of it, not getting mad at you and not letting the anger part of jealousy hit him as hard.  Nothing to be jealous about if he just gets rid of the problem.

Malleus - Malleus holds himself in high regard as your special friend. He’d heard stories of the gifts you'd rejected out of fear and discomfort from all the others with a feeling of pride, knowing that you accepted him and his own. But then that overgrown cat happened to leave a pretty little bracelet on your arm. He can feel the fire burning his throat as he rips that thing off you and breaks it to pieces. If you like things like that, he’ll just get you better ones, maybe one that can’t be removed and would break that fleabag’s fangs if he tries to leave a mark on your neck. 

Neige - The world’s ‘darling’ sweetheart has a heart of gold when it comes to gifts. He doesn’t mind receiving them, and when it comes to you he loves seeing you be spoiled. Seeing you dressed head to toe in clothes that Vil bought for you makes his heart melt. For his best friend and his darling to be getting along so well, it makes him want to break out in song.

When the Baby of Yuu is Born

• If we're talking about the birth itself, I think it would have happened sometime between books 6 and 7. I already mentioned that when Yuu arrived in Twisted Wonderland, she was already a month or two pregnant, so by the time those events occurred, Yuu should have been around 8 months at most. Besides, with the stress of the situation, the baby probably came out prematurely.

• Obviously, I don't think Yuu would have participated in the same way in book 6 because of the pregnancy, but let's just say that once they reached dry land, her water broke, to everyone's horror and concern.

• Riddle was the only one who more or less kept his composure and sent the others to get things for Yuu while he and Adeuce took her to Ramshakle (and Grim brought Crewel, the closest thing they had to a doctor). Ace, being Ace, had Crowley give Yuu his hand so she could squeeze it with all her might (it was cathartic and extremely necessary, thanks Ace), and the other students were calling doctors, bringing things like healing potions in case things went wrong, etc.

• It was chaos in short. The labor lasted approximately 8 hours (with luck, it could be less or MORE hours), and Yuu ends up giving birth to a beautiful baby girl.

• All the panic finally dissipates when the students hear the baby cry for the first time—a loud cry of a healthy baby :,)

• Of course, as soon as everything calms down, Crewel and Trein kick everyone out of the dorm so Yuu can have a few quality days alone with her baby (the only one who can stay is Grim).

• The first few days of motherhood are quite pleasant, fortunately. The baby is healthy and strong, she doesn't wake up much at night, and when she does, the ghosts try to entertain her so Yuu can sleep (unless she has to be fed).

• Yuu also doesn't have to worry about bringing food; several students leave things at Ramshakle's door so as not to bother her with visitors (food, blankets, clothes, etc.).

• Grim is definitely quieter than usual when the baby is born. He's partly afraid that Yuu won't love him anymore or considers him dangerous to have around the baby. But when she offers to say hello and introduces him as a BIG BROTHER... yeah, you can bet Grim cried in Yuu's arms and the baby for a looooong time.

• Riddle is one of the first allowed to visit, and he brings a ton of gifts from the Heartslabyul students (Cater, Trey, and Adeuce). He's the most tense when it comes to interacting with the baby at first. Even though he's taken all the necessary sanitary measures, he's so afraid of doing something wrong. But when Yuu helps him carry her properly and the baby sits comfortably in his arms, he melts.

• He invites Yuu over for tea more often (either to catch up on studies or because he sees that Yuu is really stressed), with the baby, of course! The students in the dorm are happy to take turns watching her so Yuu can have some quiet time. I'd say Riddle still sees Yuu as a sort of maternal/older sister figure, only now his protective instincts also extend to the baby.

• Leona is probably the last one to realistically meet the baby. He doesn't have a good relationship with the children (he can barely stand Cheka), and even if he doesn't say it out loud, he doesn't want to feel left out now that the baby is finally born (mainly because he knows it's a shitty feeling for a shitty reason). Leona only gets to meet Yuu's baby when he stumbles upon her by chance at the botanical garden (not because Yuu was looking for him and Ruggie ratted him out, not at all).

• Leona isn't very patient, but he definitely makes sure the baby is in good hands if Yuu can't watch her for a couple of hours (probably making Ruggie do all the work), preventing the baby from doing stupid things once she starts crawling and putting things in her mouth (no herbivore, don't eat dirt—or toys! You almost look like Ruggie). he acts like he doesn't care, but he'll jump out of his seat if he sees the baby with something in her mouth that shouldn't be there.

• Azul, along with the twins, have probably never seen a human baby up close—they're so small! Floyd is probably one of the first people to visit Yuu and her baby—even Jade mentions it to him when they go to Monster Lounge—and they’re surprisingly careful with the baby, especially Azul, who holds her like she’s made of glass.

• I imagine that when the baby starts walking, Yuu gets so stressed out from taking care of her AND being Crowley’s errand girl that she forgets to eat. To solve this, Azul implements something new at Monster Lounge: a baby menu! The catch is that Yuu also has to order something to eat FOR HERSELF ;) no shrimp will go hungry in their watch.

• KALIM ABSOLUTELY LOVES THE BABY! Although sadly, he couldn't take her to Scarabia because she cried so loudly during the festivities. Kalim is an EXPERT at putting babies to sleep (again, this guy has 30 younger siblings) and can play with her for HOURS. Meanwhile, Yuu and Jamil get a much-needed break from their two hyperactive children.

• I'll just say that Yuu will be lucky if her baby doesn't have a whole festival dedicated to her birthday thanks to Kalim. That, and now her food stash is stocked to the brim thanks to Jamil and Kalim (and probably some money, but shhhhh). Kalim just wants to help in any way he can.

• I like the headcanon that Vil is good with kids; by extension, I think he finds Yuu's baby absolutely adorable. Sure, he keeps a certain distance from the baby and himself because of his clothes (and also because he doesn't know what effects makeup could have on such a young baby), but he's definitely not above bringing a few things for Yuu and the baby with Rook and Epel.

• Another great one is providing a space for Yuu to care for him, especially when the baby is already a few months old or if Yuu is dealing with any consequences of childbirth. I honestly don't think Vil brings up the topic of losing baby weight right away because I think it's common sense that it's a pretty sensitive topic for women; instead, he focuses on Yuu feeling good about herself.

• Ortho was probably one of the few students allowed to come to Ramshakle every day to check on the baby's health with his scanners. Thanks to that, Idia is probably the one who is most attentive to the health of both the baby and Yuu. He almost seems like a mother hen. Is Yuu eating things with iron? Is it beneficial for pregnant women? Or maybe he should send her food with vitamin D? Is he being too creepy by monitoring this kind of things?

• Idia definitely freezes every time the baby climbs on him, just accepting his fate of being this creature's new favorite fluorescent toy (Ortho has videos of this that he shows the first years).

• Malleus, OH MY GOD, MALLEUS, remember how I told you the baby was born shortly before his Overblot? You can bet everyone was super tense with him around Yuu and the baby after that, almost like a Protection Squad.

• Then again, Malleus had no idea how human birth worked, so he definitely got really distressed when he heard Ramshakle's screams of pain, or when they told him that if they didn't act quickly either Yuu or the baby could DIE. It was like a reminder that, even giving birth to another human being, they are very fragile. Malleus was so relieved when he learned that Yuu and her daughter were okay, but the scare never fade.

• He definitely acts like some kind of weird uncle. He even talks to the baby as if she were an adult, and they have full conversations. The baby just babbles or says random words, and Malleus nods as if he understands and makes up a conversation, much to Yuu's amusement and everyone's confusion. At least Malleus can still have his nightly chats with Yuu, given how little sleep babies get.

• Ace and Deuce try to be as careful as possible with the baby, almost seeming like other people due to the kindness they show the baby in contrast to their normal selves. Although of course, they still have their tricks. Ace especially wants to teach the baby how to say his name, and when that doesn't work, he makes her learn funny nicknames for the others (like calling Riddle "red dwarf," knowing he'd never get mad at the baby).

• Deuce tries to prevent this, but it's in vain. When Yuu and they go out on campus, the baby is usually carried on one of their shoulders (they constantly fight over who is the "favorite uncle," unaware that that position already belongs to Grim).

• BONUS: THE STAFF

• Crowley definitely gives Yuu more work now because she's "no longer incapacitated," but he doesn't give her maternity leave. That is, until a mob of angry teenagers comes to his office to complain about his lack of basic human decency, and he decides to give her a month off. Every time Crowley is near the baby, she cries, but not a normal cry, no, a HYSTERICAL cry. Yuu thinks the problem might be the mask, but you can see how the baby makes faces at Crowley's voice.

• Sam always has things in stock that the baby might like, things like toys, bibs, clothes, etc. While Yuu is shopping, the baby likes to play with Sam's shadow. He thinks it's very interesting that the baby isn't afraid of them and tells Yuu that her baby has a very unique personality.

• Vargas remains essentially the same, a stereotypical gentleman who makes his students also be proper gentlemen to the ladies. If Yuu wants to join the class but has to bring the baby with her, Vargas will happily carry her while yelling at the students to move, occasionally tickling the baby, or passing her some candy.

• Trein is the ultimate babysitter. Not only does he have the experience, but the baby automatically trusts him without hesitation; he's the opposite of Crowley. Trein and Yuu remain close friends (I'd say Trein sees a lot of his daughters in Yuu), and he's willing to lend a hand if she has trouble with the baby. He's also the best source of baby-related advice at the school.

• Crewel's first reaction when the baby was able to leave school was to go shopping for clothes with Yuu, mostly matching clothes—he thinks they're the cutest thing ever! He's definitely bought her Dalmatian onesies. He definitely takes every opportunity he gets when he visits Yuu for tea to see the baby (it's like that "move bitch" meme).

• Overall, a big, dysfunctional, happy family was formed.

Ohhh oh this is so so sweet 😭😭💞💞 I love love love handmade gifts or anything given with the thought of you.

Can you imagine? You, a person who has barely anything when you first came here. Nothing to your name not even ramshackle dorm.

With your meager allowance, you buy a kit. After all, if you weren’t good at crafts before then you are now with how you had to get by with what you had.

You made Adeuce and Grim plushies. They can’t always be with you except for your cat. But, they are in plush form. They make staying here a bit more bearable. They bring comfort. You are not alone in this new world.

At first, it was something the trio would try and joke about but once they saw all the effort it brought and what it means to you? They felt touched. They maybe even bought kits of their own.

Over time, your plush collection grew. Ones made by adeuce and grim. Ace making a funny looking riddle and cater (on purpose I might add). Deuce with trey and some flamingos (he tries his best). Grim tried making a tuna can.

Then you befriended more people and you made more. Sometimes you would show up and see someone added to your collection (probably epel, jack, sebek, etc)

And some made by others with you (Lilia, rook, vil, idia, etc)

The ghosts made versions of themselves and sometimes you would see others make clothes for your plushies (Ruggie, malleus, silver, etc)

Your empty shack became so much more.

It became a home. Filled with comfort and love.

for starters, the album isn’t exactly PG.

you can see Ace snickering at a few lines, Trey hiding his laughter slightly better but not really, Cater gushing about how Magicammable the music is, Deuce’s ears flushing pink whenever Sabrina says something that simply can’t fly past his head.

oh, and Riddle?

he may have been a sheltered child, but he most definitely knows what Juno means. (probably through overhearing his mother say atrocious things about teen pregnancy, but still.)

so combine that word + position? his face is practically burning red, flushed all the way from his neck to his hairline.

did I mention that Cater’s a repeat listener? like the type to listen to the same song for hours on end? and probably likes to blast his music?

Trey’s baking? cool, let him play some songs that totally fit the vibe! (just searches up ‘songs to bake to’ on spotify and ignores Trey’s look of horror when Cake By The Ocean starts playing.) Riddle’s studying? nice, let’s listen to some lyricless music to help him focus! (which does sound promising at first, only for Cater to stumble upon the Undertale soundtrack. Megalovania is played on repeat twelve times. Riddle is about to burst a vessel.) Ace and Deuce get into trouble? sweet, he has a full sound board for that! (it’s just a sound board with stupid sound effects he plays <\333)

Adeuce practically runs to you to beg for you to change your spotify password, but to no avail - they even try to bribe you with food from Trey, but that doesn’t work either.

Riddle can’t really do anything about it either, ‘cause there are no rules opposing this. you don’t need to check. he’s memorised all eight hundred and ten.

but hey, at least they’re not completely ruined - in fact, a few good things has come out of this.

for starters, Riddle has gotten from listening to some classical music from your world to full on punk, now! (you don’t really know where he discovered it, but he seems calmer recently, so oh well!)

Trey has discovered his affection towards true crime! (yeah you don’t really know where he started listening to those either don’t question it) It really does come in handy whenever he has to bake for long periods of time.

Ace and Deuce get way too invested in Weezer for a bit. (another mystery. things escalate when they try to get some of the first years to do their album cover poses for a photo unironically.)

how Cater convinced Idia to install the app on the others phones will forever be shrouded in secrecy.

yay you now have six people sharing one spotify account! this action will have consequences.

similar to Heartslabyul, the first instance of you using spotify is when you decide to abuse it during book 3 to get Leona’s lazy ass to help you.

and so, you play the most grating, eardrum shattering, migraine inducing song you can humanly think of - baby shark on loop for an hour.

things go over well because Leona folds after twenty minutes and seven death threats - hooray!!!

afterwards, you don’t really use spotify much.

Leona thinks of it as the noise making app, Jack has his own PoisonPod, Ruggie’s always been more of an ambient noise kinda guy…

until Ruggie walks up to you one fine day, asking for a favour. Oh?

turns out when you blasted the-song-that-shall-not-be-named woke Leona up faster than Ruggie’s ever been able to, and you still owe him for that time he snagged you a sandwich during lunch rush, so if you could just hand over your spotify password, shyheehee…

since then, every morning for Leona is an absolute nightmare.

It got even worse when Cheka, that insufferable little fur ball, somehow learnt the song and begged him to sing it. (Leona caved to get Cheka to shut it. It didn’t work because Cheka ended up begging him to sing it for a second time. Then a third, then a fourth, then a fifth. Suffice to say Leona wasn’t very happy.)

Ruggie can and will abuse your free spotify subscription to its fullest - also somehow getting it on his worn out phone(though thievery or bullying Idia with social interaction, I bet).

listens to those saving money and food podcasts while working, opting for someone like Odetari to listen to during warm-ups for spelldrive.

at some point, Leona just walks up to you, brows furrowed, staring you down, before asking “how much?” (To change your spotify password because he can’t take it anymore <\333)

you end up giving it to him but he can’t change it because he needs to verify it with your email, and that sounds like too much effort.

music wise, I don’t really think Jack’s much of a music enjoyer, but he can appreciate some Fall Out Boy from time to time.

Floyd basically demands you to give him your spotify password, which wouldn’t really be a problem if he didn’t ask for it mid-fight with OB! Jamil. Azul was not pleased.

is the most inconsistent with his music on this list. 

like seriously, he could go from metal to pop to break beat to rap in less than an hour. 

(how did he even get into so many genres… did he listen to the others playlists?)

plus, he’s made at least forty different playlists by now, which has garnered multiple complaints from the other members abusing using your spotify account.

you just give him your password and leave. (as well as snagging a free drink on your way out. score!)

azul probably only has one playlist, comprising of mostly just jazz - Micheal Bublé and the like, classy stuff he can play at the lounge. (secretly has a soft spot for Laufey and beabadoobee. almost got caught listening to them by the Tweels once, fully dropping his phone on the floor, fumbling with it for a good twenty seconds before shoving it into his pocket. Jade wishes he’d filmed it.)

Scarabia!

you first used spotify in front of them during the after Jamil overblotted party.

playing fun music is necessary for a good party, after all!

and things turn out pretty well!! you play the all-time classic macarena and it’s a smash hit!

you even end up teaching the Scarabian students how to dance the macarena and they even form a conga line!

in fact, it’s such a hit that Kalim keeps inviting you to his parties to play more music for them!

you end up teaching Scarabia a wide array of 2000’s dances, all to their respective songs.

Jamil eventually asks for your spotify because he’s aware you can’t show up to every single party Kalim hosts.

he creates a playlist to play at each party, with the appropriate songs.

it takes Jamil finding out that Azul uses your spotify account for the Monstro Lounge to really pique his interest and start using it for himself.

listens to hip-hop tracks if he wants to practise his street dancing.

probably listens to those cleaning hack podcasts too… and maybe those parenting a toddler ones too, as well as the psychology ones.

tries a lot of the parenting ‘hacks’ on Kalim. pleasantly surprised when a few work.

masters way too many choreographies, but hey, Jamil’s mostly fine with it - after all, Kalim can’t cause too much trouble for him if he’s just dancing in one of the many dance studios that Scarabia houses. 

Kalim almost immediately follows like twenty different artists, causing complaints from the other like eleven people using your account.

Riddle Rosehearts

If Riddle isn't busy or worried about someone Ace or Deuce setting the dorms ablaze in his absence he would take you out. Somewhere like a cafe or maybe even a small bakery. He would take lots of advice from Trey and Cater since he trusts their opinions. If you don't have an excellent relationship with food, Riddle would take you out for tea tasting instead! I didn't even know this was a thing till I started searching for ideas He loves tea and he wants to share that love with you too.

You have to be reminded though, he's the Heartlabyul house warden, an honour student and has to keep up to par with his dorm to make sure none of them burns it down as well as making sure they keep up with the rules. Even though Riddle may lighten up on some rules that the dorm agrees are a little ridiculous, such as the rule to run underwater to dry off. I swear this is a rule but I can’t find it anywhere on the wikis So as boring as it may sound if he's busy you two would have a study date in his dorm room!

He thought dating anyone would be off the table for him, a thought his mother put into right before he left for NRC. So he isn't well-versed in this area he'd be very nervous throughout the whole date. He's never had to attempt something that he wasn't good at in front of others. You'd probably have to calm him down since he would like he'd explode at any moment if you didn't do something sooner.

Add this into one of the other points but he'd totally be insecure about his personality and why you agreed to a date with him

This was one of the only times Riddle had time off. The Adeuce duo were occupied, no unbirthday parties to plan, and Trey had plans to be at the dorm all day allowing him to be able to take you out for your first date. Being his usual self he came to Ramshackle dorm 11 am sharp, greeting you at the door with a bunch of roses for you. The sweet aroma was so similar to the boy in front of you now, though he didn't seem to be the same boy who picked you up this morning.

Ever since the two of you had got to this cafe, which Cater himself recommended to Riddle, he was extremely awkward. You were expecting it to be slightly awkward with your knowledge of how he was raised with limited knowledge about the aspect of dates and romance but you never imagine it would be this bad. He was tense and you could tell as well just by the way he was having issues meeting your gaze. You were empathic to the redhead in front of you since you knew it wasn't an easy task to ask you out. Nor was it easy to have a first date with someone either.

"So Riddle what book have you been reading lately?” You inquired, Riddle was an avid reader trying, you were trying to get him to come out of his shell. Riddle had relaxed slightly once you mentioned one of his dearest interests. "Well, at the moment I'm reading this book about psychology, mostly about how the brain responds to certain situations and how feelings-" after this voice went softer than before, shying off "-mostly love and it works incoherently," He admitted with his face getting as red as his hair. "Mc, if you couldn't tell I'm not used to being on a date with someone else, I'm sorry for it being so awkward I just.." He sighed in defeat making a quick glance at you but immediately looking away once seeing you were looking straight at him.

You chuckled, you felt like you should've seen this coming "Riddle, there's no need to be nervous I like you, for you." You told him tenderly, you reached out for his hand grasping it, your thumb slowly brushing gently across his knuckles to try and ease him.

Your efforts seemed to backfire on you as your words made him bright red. "Mc... I-" he couldn't bring himself to say anything to your words.

"Don't. I wouldn't have said yes if I didn't reciprocate anything would I sunshine?" Well... Now you've got yourself an even more flustered little rose.

1. Starter Pokemon:

Headcanon: Ace will pick a starter along with Deuce and Yuu.

 Fennekin to Delphox (Fire)

If Ace would choose a starter, it would definitely be a fire type. I was thinking of giving him Fennekin because I see Ace as a sly fox and I can see Ace and Fennekin would go along well.

Tepig:

I can also see him having a Tepig since Deuce and Yuu picked theirs first. 

2. Cherubi (Grass)

Ace loves Cherry pies and he’ll probably met Cherubi while cherry picking as a child. It’s one of his first pokemons but he’ll rarely use him in pokemon battles if possible.

Cherubi will be the only pokemon Ace refuse to evolve because it will lose the appearance of being a cherry if he did and he's grown attached to it. It will take major character development for Ace to accept evolving it to Cherrim

3. Aipom (Normal) to Ambipom (Normal , Fighting)

Aipom is a mischievous little monkey and Ace’s childhood pokemons growing up along with Cherubi. Unlike Cherubi, Aipom would be the one helping Ace to take his pranks into action.Ambipom will be his most vital pokemon in battling.

Inspiration: Based on pokespe manga, Gold’s pokemons : he has an aipom that reflects Gold’s mischievous personality.

4. Plusle (Electric)

Ace had a Plusle after a few hang outs with Deuce and Yuu. He found Plusle with Deuce who also found a Minun or Yuu would give Adeuce a plusle and minun and they would give Ace a plusle because red.

5. Ditto (Normal)

I imagined Ace would be that type of trainer to use a ditto to breed pokemons to have great IV growths. Also, Just like Ace’s signature spell of copying other people’s signature spells, Ditto can copy and be any pokemons so I think it fits so well.

6. Talonflame (Fire, Flying)

Ace will get a fletchling or any starter bird pokemon at early childhood. This is probably because maybe his big brother also has a similar bird pokemon and gave it to him as a gift. Ace’s bird pokemon is an offspring of his brother's pokemon. I choose Talonflame because of the red and black aesthetics, I think it’s something that Ace and his brother would pick. 

Conclusion:

In my opinion, Ace isn’t that too dedicated and motivated for pokemon battles but he would just go on adventures with his pokemons and complete the pokedex. He would gladly join Deuce and be his daily opponent for practicing battles.  Ace will be that pokemon battle trainer training fellow trainers.

Despite catching them all, Ace will still use his childhood pokemons and the pokemons that hold special meaning such as the pokemons he received from his friends especially Yuu and Deuce as his main team but he will still use other pokemons while travelling around the world.

Grim found it werid how one side of the bed felt empty when he woke up. He even felt wrong when he looked around. Ramshackle looked emptier then ever, most of the stuff that you had bought or got from traveling or just plain and regular stuff was missing. 

That was until, he had found out the reason why, yes he did feel you shake him in the middle of the night but he just thought it was normal, you probably just really wanted to bother him about “Mickey” or something else. Until he eventually found and read the letter. 

“HENCHMAN!!!!!” Was the only thing that could be heard from Ramshackle. Before he quickly stormed off to go see headmaster. 

“As you see, I was very kind and generous and found a way home for them. Me being so kind had sent them home last night.” Was the only thing Crowley had said to Grim. 

“MY HENCHMAN WOULD REALLY LEAVE ME?!” 

“Well they had to. My kindness reached so far that they of course had to accept it.” 

“You… Headmaster couldn’t even let me see them before they left?!?!” 

 Adter that conversation no one had seen of you or Grim for the next few days. They thought it was off. But a certain group of first years became concerned and tried to enter (force) their way into Ramshackle, and truly see what was wrong.  

After entering (breaking down) the door and a bunch of shouts of Grim! Or Prefect! And probably breaking a of many items (that were left) to find you. Eventually they stood infront of your room. The last room that they hadn’t checked yet. 

“GRIM ARE YOU OKAY?!” Sebek yelled as he saw Grim their with tears down his face, or should I say fur. 

“Prefect… left me!!!!” Was all he could muster a reply for as he began to sob again. 

“Eh, what do you mean prefect left you? It must be a joke wasn’t it?” Ace responded ending it with a laugh. 

Suddenly however, Grim shoved them the note that you left as the read it outloud. The more words they said, the more there eyes widened. 

“Yer must be jokin’ right?” (I butchered Epels accent lmao)

Soon after Epel said that, all the first years came together and probably cried. Even Jacks motivational speeches couldn’t even heal those wounds. 

Eventually, after they left the word quickly spread. From Heartsybul to Pomeifore, Scarabia, Hell even Ignihyde eventually came to term that you left. 

Crowley being the (worst excuse of a ) headmaster recived the news and complaints of multiple students of not saying goodbye, he eventually called them all down to talk to them. 

“As we all know, prefect came from another world suddenly at the beginning of the year. And I ever so kind decided to bring them in and help them figure out a home. A week ago I had finally figured it out a way home for them. After telling them, they immediately accepted and went home. Simple as that.” And by then, Crowley finished his speech of how he returned you home. 

Yes, although you had broken a few of the many rules of the Queen of Hearts. Riddle will always remember you, perhaps it’s due to your mischievous nature, or how you helped him during his Overblot. He would never know. 

As the horrible headmaster gave his speech, Trey thought of all those times you baked with him. And the time of making that chestnut(?) tart with Adeuce so he could be forgiven. However on the other side of him, Cater was mainly thinking about showing you how to use the phones or whatever they had at TWST. And especially how to use Magicam, and even showed you how to make a account!

Although you stepped on his tail the first time you met, Leona was still surprised about your smartness about finding the weak spot of Azuls Unique magic, but he was still happy he got to turn his own contract to sand. 

Ruggie enjoyed your hustle and really enjoyed you hanging out and getting money with him. 

“Shrimpy!” Floyd cried once Crowley finished his speech. “Why did you have to leave?!” Jade sighed, him and both Floyd agreed for once, that you were fun to be around. Especially during the time you were trying to get the photo from the Atlántica Museum. 

Kalim was already full on sobbing due to you being missing. But you returning to your original world?! That was his breaking point. He didn’t even get to throw you a party…

However, Jamil, wasn’t crying with Kalim, he could agree with him for once. Yes he doesn’t really or maybe regrets what he did to you during Book 4, he did enjoy your company at times when you did bother talking to him, that is if you even liked him during what happened. 

“You Potato…” was the only thing Vil could get out of his mouth. Although you started talking much later then the others, forced to go through STYXS headquarters together, you guys truly bonded. 

“Ah, the Trickster finally found a way home…” Rook's voice rang. (I literally cannot figure what else to add to his, I’m sorry Rook lovers!)

“Ofc an Otaku and boring person like me would be so leaveable..” Idia mumbled…

“Big bro I’m sure they didn’t leave you! They probably just wanted to go back to their own world!” Ortho responded. Trying to comfort his brother. 

The one time Malleus got invited somewhere, he truly did not want to go. You were the only one who truly wasn’t afraid of him. 

(Rest of Diasomnia left out due to some people not wanting book 7 spoilers/ it’s not finished.)

However who had it worst was with the first years. 

 Ace and Deuce who usually looked tough, even looked like they were able to burst out in tears. 

While Epel was just standing there. Still kinda surprised you actually left with no warning. Standing next to him, Jack was there also. Yes he was happy you finally found a way home. But he truly thought you just didn’t want to go to school those days. 

Meanwhile Sebek ran to malleus making sure his Liege was alright. (And to probably no show the others how sad it probably looked.)

“Henchman…” Grim probably still had teary eyes as he mumbled your name once again… not knowing what to do next. 

However, he eventually did. Instead of spending the summer with you like you both planned to, he instead switched between homes, between the 1st or now 2nd years. He got to spend time and learn about the Queendom of Roses, The Shaftlands, and somehow Briar Valley. 

However summed quickly came to an end. Yes he did think about you everyday, but he had to get over it one day, Right?

When they eventually came back to school, he did still stay in Ramschake, but was often found in other dorms. Still causing the usual ruckus, but this year, without the other 3rd, I mean 4th years. It wasn’t as nostalgic, yes Riddle would often shout “Off With Your Heads!” At them. However, Sebek would still talk about Malleus, but still it did not feel the same, he would always think about you. 

They would never mention you, like once on a full moon. It was like you never existed, probably due to how sad they would get whenever Grim used to mention your name on “they would like that,” or “that reminds me of them.” After a few times though, he probably never mentioned you due to their facial expressions. 

One day, near the first exams of the semester, him and the 2nd years were all messing around the mirror. Somehow Ace had an idea. 

“So like what if we say Prefects location to the mirror?” 

“Why’d yer say that?” Epel responded. 

“I don’t know I just want to see what happens.” Ace replied with his usual grin. 

However before anyone could respond, Ace just started saying where you told them where you lived/ what city you lived in. 

And then suddenly, he felt like he was falling down. 

“MWA WHAT HAPPENED?” Grim suddenly felt concrete under him and looked around. 

“Uhh, where are we?” Jack looked around, noticing a sign in whatever language twisted wonderland had that read: “Tokoyo, Japan.” Around that were very tall buildings and it looked like it was nighttime. 

“Hey isn’t this where Prefect lives?”

“I SHOULD HAVE STAYED SO I COULD PROTECT WAKA-SAMA!”

“Sebek quiet down, we don’t even know what happened to us…” Deuce mumbled. “Maybe because it was someone’s fault…”

“What if we use our magic and figure out where Prefect lives?? Didn’t we learn that in Magic class?” Jack suggested, pulling out his magic pen (or whatever it’s called) and getting ready to use it. 

“But Malleus Sama!”

After getting your location, they had started making their way their way to your house, or what they believed it to be. 

(Time skip because I wanna get this out early.)

After figuring out your house, they all decided to knock, however they hid Grim in a bag they found, knowing that your world probably doesn’t have magical cats or monsters that talk. 

Suddenly a young adult opened the door and she widened her eyes. 

“I’m who are you? Also why are you all here with a furry?”

“A furry what the hell is..? Uhh we are friends of Prefect do they live here?”

“They… do? What business do you have with them.”

“We really need to talk to them! And then get back to my liege!” Sebek practically screamed, 

“Dude you really have to chill…” Ace mumbled…

After a bit of chatting and confirming if they did truly know you, she did eventually somehow gave in and welcomed them. 

“I guess they really do meet werid people, but since you really need to know them I guess I’ll let you in? There not home though, still working. Oh by the way, I’m Oboko.” Oboko mumbled as she opened the door more and stepped out of the way. Weird, a bunch of grown ass boys knowing Yuu? What the hell do they do?” 

As suddenly as they entered they raided the kitchen, much to Obokos dismay they made themselves at home. With Oboko watching closely, making sure nothing would happen. 

Soon though, the front door opened and they heard a familiar voice.

I hope everyone knows that if Twisted Wonderland wasn't made by Disney, AT LEAST half of the cast would swear in every sentence.

Ace would have the dirtiest mouth and Riddle would make him get collared all the time for that. Deuce has slip-up curses, like hitting his foot and going "fuCKING SHIT!". Cater has a secret magicam account where Riddle isn't there and he curses about people he has beef online. Probs one of them is Idia. Trey and Riddle are the clean mouth ones, but Trey tries convincing Riddle that "it is okay to drop an F bomb if ya can't hold it". Trey wants to say fuck.

Leona swears and if someone gets bothered by it he will talk about how "they aren't kids anymore to be afraid of saying fuck". Ruggie does it when he is mad but he makes it his life goal to make Jack say 1 singular fuck.

Azul is calm and collected until he is absolutely alone where he will scream in his pillow all curses and swears he knows and can say. This is a daily thing. Jade swears when he wants to make people uneasy, but he doesn't like it as much. Of every 5 words that leave Floyd's mouth, 7 of them are swear words. He creates the most elaborate ones too, all his brain power goes into swearing every generation of someone's family when he is truly mad.

Kalim is prohibited from swearing not because he is a pure bean but because if he starts a swearing spree he DOESN'T STOP. It is to control what others will hear more than Kalim himself. Jamil does the nonswear cursing or Christian cursing like "I hope your pillow has both sides warm this night". he will pray for others' downfall.

Vil doesn't allow himself to swear, he is better than that. Rook doesn't swear to not be a bad example to other pomefiores. Epel had the tape-on-mouth treatment to cure his sailor's mouth. Half of the time he swears under his breath just to make sure no one listens to him, but if he is mad he will go all out.

Idia has the gamer swearing and probably has broken a lot of laws by his swearing online. Cyberbullies noobs on Roblox sorta guy. Ortho has not been programmed with a library of swear words but if he walks with Adeuce any longer he will learn how to do Christian swearing.

Malleus does the old man swearing, and so does Lilia, but to mock people. Lilia knows how to actually curse, but he has self-control. Silver is technically allowed to swear but doesn't want to be a bad influence. Sebek is not allowed to swear because he is already too loud as it is, imagine if swearing

Cater was the first to figure out your gender, cause he connected the dots. He had information on you, he had sisters. Done.

Riddle does not know. If he were to ever find out...

"BUT HOW??", he would shout in anger. This was a against the law. After all, this was an all-boys school. And you are not a boy.

If Ace were to know, it would be the same word for word. Except it would be a shout of shock and confusion. "You're a girl!? How?"

Deuce just stands there, processing the information. He is as still as a statue; he doesn't move, he doesn't breathe.

Oh gosh, he might collapse! Someone get water!! Once he finishes internalising the fact that you're a girl, I don't think he'd be able to look you in the eyes. Or talk. Or blink. Yes, he's searching up "how to breathe" on Doosle (Disney Google).

Basically, heartslabyul's a mess.

Everyone knows. Leona knows. Ruggie knows. Jack probably knows. All of their noses knows it(Get it?). Their beastmen after all. They (probably) know the smell of blood.

But if somehow Jack didn't know...

"Ah", Jack would think to himself. "That makes sense. A lot more than Yuu getting into a fight every month."

Jack feels his cheeks redden at the ridiculousness of his original assumption.

Azul knows, and so does Jade. I don’t think Floyd knows, just cause he wouldn't care enough. After all, what does it matter if the guppy's a girl?

Though, if Floyd did find out...

He wouldn't treat you any different. Honestly, what did you expect. It's Floyd, After all.

Though he might tease you every now and then for hiding it with such a crappy disguise (which he fell for by the way). But other than that, nothing changed.

Scarabia

Jamil Viper, both the servant and bodyguard of Kalim, had done background checks on everyone who talked to Kalim. Of course he knows.

Plus your penchant for taking other people's food reminded him of Najma.

Kalim is intuitive. I have a feeling he knows. Kalim has tons of younger sisters that he dote on. Though Even if he didn't know, he would subconsciously dote on you.

Pomefiore

Rook knows. You know Rook knows.

Vil probably knows.

Vil has a keen eye. His years in the movie industry led him to encounter many different people with many different proportions. You ain't fooling him. He knows.

I'd bet a nickel that Epel does not.

Before joining Night Raven College, Epel had not left Harveston once (except for that one apple selling trip in a nearby village, But that's besides the point).

And growing up, his village hardly had any kids his age, much less girls (though lots of them thought he was a pretty girl).

So he wouldn't know. Honestly, he thinks you're just too feminine looking, like him. He thinks of you as a comrade in arms in that.

From the moment you arrived, Ortho's sensors had alerted him of the peculiarity that is you. Most likely, he told his older brother. And, at that moment, his sweet brother responded with a very reasonable "This isn't some fantasy romance anime!"

He was half-right, at least! This definitely wasn't that type of anime.

Diasomnia

It is surprising how many in Diasomnia do not know.

Partly due to their aptitude in magic, students from this dorm tends to rely on brute force rather than common sense. Malleus includes.

Out of the main four, only grandpa Lilia noticed. And he laughed a hearty laugh.

Malleus was clueless, assuming your bosom was just some odd human gene. After all, the only beings he was close to since birth were fae and male.

Silver spent most of his life in a cottage with Lilia(and, when Lilia is out adventuring times, at times without). And before NRC, his only friends were birds and a grumpy croc. He wouldn't notice if he tried.

Anyway, Miss Raven, according to you, why didn't Cater do anything (or if he DID do anything, why didn't it work) about the Riddle situation during the latter's freshman year? I mean, Cater was rooming with Trey during that time, he probably knew some bits beforehand...

I think there’s a lot of different angles this question could be tackled from 🤔 However, the most all-encompassing explanation for me comes down to who Cater is at the core of his character. Simply put, he’s just not the kind of guy who likes to get into the heat of things or directly intervene. (Even if he was, do you really think Riddle would listen to him when Riddle didn’t even listen to his right-hand man and childhood bestie Trey, who has tried multiple times to smooth things out on behalf of the whole dorm?)

As early as our first formal introduction to him in book 1, Cater’s constantly trying to trick others into resolving tasks and conflicts for him. He gets Adeuce to help out with painting the roses, and does the same to mob students when it comes to unbirthday party prep in his Dorm Uniform vignettes. There are other instances of Cater being slick too: he slyly suggests that Trey uses his unique magic to change the flavor of the chestnut tarts they make (which would save Cater the trouble of wolfing down something sweet, which he dislikes). In Happy Beans Day, Cater lets Deuce take the fall for him and distract the monsters while he claims the supplies from a crate. These are just a few of many examples of Cater having others "do his dirty work".

There are, of course, times when Cater does step up. However, it's typically done reluctantly, under duress (like, he has no other option/the situation is too dangerous for him NOT to step up), and/or in the face of peer pressure. For example, Cater is the only one of the Heartslabyul group that does not initially want to fight against OB Riddle; Cater just stands off to the side and warns everyone about how they stand no chance. He only joins in when Trey, Ace, Deuce, and even Grim pitch into the fight (and even when he decides to help out, Cater still has a line where he emphasizes that he definitely didn't sign up for this). Even as recently as Stage in Playful Land, Cater is surprised that his classmates want to stay in the park and beat up Fellow Honest for deceiving them rather than have escape as a priority. He makes a comment about how everyone wants to do one thing (which is also implied to be the thing Cater doesn't want to do), so they all have to come to a decision as a group on how to proceed. In the end, he ends up agreeing to stay and get revenge since that's what the group wants. Put like this, Cater's more of a follower and not much of a leader--but he intervenes when it's convenient for him.

Now with that being said, it could be argued that if many Heartslabyul students were complaining about Riddle's rule, why wouldn't Cater also hop on that bandwagon if he's supposedly such a people pleaser?? Well, I'd wager it might be because Cater values his self-preservation more. Considering past behaviors, Cater has demonstrated time and time again that he's willing to throw others under the bus (usually his juniors or whoever else he has to) so long as he can walk away scot-free or doing less work. It's just something that's easy to overlook because Cater isn't the type to pull it off in a scummy way, he's still smiling and friendly as he's duping you. (It’s also worth nothing that the Heartslabyul students themselves were probably tolerating Riddle’s rule better a year ago than a year into it, especially since we see Riddle getting worse over the course of book 1. Maybe the problem just wasn’t “as bad” or people had more patience for it back then.)

Another thing to consider is his position, which I'm sure Cater is cognizant of considering how socially aware he is. He may be a third year, but he's also just... a regular student. He doesn't hold any power over Riddle, nor does he have an intimate bond with Riddle which would incline him to getting involved with him and testing his temper. Cater has seen what happens to the people that defy him, and he's not willing to stick his neck out for them and potentially have the same happen to him. There's no personal stakes or responsibility on his part (unlike Trey).

Cater is defaulting to his usual strategy of letting others try to fix things for him (we see him asking Trey to do something/to talk to Riddle instead of Cater confronting Riddle himself). That’s just how he chooses to tackle issues; there's nothing wrong with that kind of problem-solving if it works for him. If I had to liken it to social media (since that’s Cater’s communication method of choice), it feels like vagueposting or subtweeting instead of tagging or outright naming the person you have beef with in public.

That’s how I interpret it, anyway 🤷‍♀️ It’s by no means the definitive answer!

Sorry for how small it is but format-wise, I'll discuss the dorm leader, then canon characters in descending year order, then ocs in descending year order.

Also, decided to make the school co-ed because 🌸 girls pretty 🌸! And safer for Yuu. Additionally, as a general rule of thumb, if a character is the same gender as the og reference, I tend to make them transgender in some way.

- Firstly, transfem Riddle has my heart so there's that.

- I made her mixed, probably British and Chinese, though I'm open to suggestions cause these are pretty much first drafts.

- From the get-go I wanted her to have hella freckles, idk they're cute.

- Also toned down her og hair, too many damn gingers in this house lol. Gave her grey streaks from her stressful ass childhood.

- If we're talking my college AU, he'd be a cosmology or cosmetology major, whichever the makeup one is idk. He was taught by an older sister (who works at a tattoo shop/piercing parlour) how to do piercings and is the primary piercer on campus. He did Trey's probably Riddles, Adeuce's lip piercings and more characters that'll show up later.

- Oki's very reserved and tends to keep to herself, often reading or quietly sipping some tea with Riddle as they work.

- She's Taiwanese and also autistic. Her whole wardrobe is blue, so are most of her things and she love nice smells.

- She and Cater have to work together to dye her hair every time it needs touch ups. It's a huge pain in the ass but she likes how it looks and Cater is fine helping.

- Has acne and uses those cute lil star and heart cut-out patches to cover it.

- She LOVES bright colours and has way too much fun prepping for the tea parties. Owns a ton of weird and neat lil earrings that she likes to mix and match.

- Twisted from the White Rabbit, and a super creative name I know... I don't have a ton of explanation here other than I thought it would look neat.

- I was super close to giving her all white hair but I didn't want another character with dark skin and light hair (which will be relevant in later designs too) so I gave her a gradient. All natural, by the way.

- She's autistic too and gets extremely anxious whenever she's late or someone else is late (Adeuce constantly give her heart attacks because of this).

- She's also a part of the track and field club!

- Last girl and she's based on Lock from The Nightmare Before Christmas movie. Spoiler, she is one of three triples, I assigned them to different houses, and they have an older sister based on the Boogeyman.

- I thought it'd be cute to give her little devil horns as a hairstyle and I made her makeup the same as the og characters'.

- It's been a hot second since I've seen this movie so I can't remember much about the kiddos' characterisations but my dad said Lock was the brains of the of operation so she gets book smarts.

- Also, her name is a silly little joke on 'loch-ness' because I was too lazy to try and find something else.

what are everyone's thoughts when they find out syn is a borrower?

(Sorry if anyone is OOC, I'm up at 3AM as of writing, though I've scheduled it for later today)

Grim - Baby. Didn't even know what the fuck a Borrower was before enrolling, let alone that they were hunted to extinction. But, once Syn proves that they're a Borrower his first thought is that he's not just stuck with a magicless human but is supposed to be bossed around by someone the size of a mouse (considering it's only been a week or so). However, like in the game he'd become very attached still and would probably be a little more protective of his 'henchman' considering the sudden arrival of a Borrower has stirred some dormant instincts around campus.

Riddle - Riddle would be surprisingly accepting of the eventual claim that Syn is a Borrower, even if he would be very skeptical at first. Of course, with Borrowers in Twisted extinct for over a century, more modern knowledge is limited but he would question "If the claim of being a Borrower is true and not some sort of farce, how have you been human-sized this whole time?", with Syn explaining the basis of their own world. And while he can't prove the validity of their story, he also can't deny it outright, especially when he hears about the Ramshackle duo being called to stay behind in Potions semi-frequently. He'd more or less have the mindset that regardless of whether or not it's true, as long as Syn didn't disrespect the Queen of Hearts rules in Heartslabyul or distract Ace and Deuce from them, it didn't really matter to him whether they're a Borrower. Still, he doesn't like not knowing things he considers practical and would likely try to find more information if possible.

Trey - Trey would have noticed something was off about Syn considering it's stated multiple times that he focuses a lot on details, but he would have chalked it up to them being from a completely different world in a different place. After finding out they're a Borrower though he realizes that some of their behaviors align with those of some skittish animals (like the croquet hedgehogs). He'd be surprised, having only heard brief mention of Borrowers growing up, but he'd consider himself respectful of them after finding out. Still, he can't say that he's not curious about seeing them at their natural size since no one's seen a Borrower.

Cater - Cater is surprised as hell, but he's able to compose himself back fairly well. The most I can see with Cater is that he'd probably want some Magicam pictures to either prove that Syn is a Borrower or just to make pretend. Regardless, as long as they're alright and don't distract ADeuce, Cater seems like he wouldn't really care about them being a Borrower.

Ace - Ace would think Syn was completely pulling his leg when they confess to him and Deuce. After all, Borrowers have been extinct for over a hundred years and their world didn't even have magic so how could they have Borrowers? But when Syn proves that they're a Borrower he's entirely shocked at the revelation. And, a little bit intrigued. Because what do you mean that you have to take this pill every 12-24 hrs (I still haven't fully decided on a system. Perhaps 16 hrs like my focus meds) to be normal-sized? He certainly feels something unfamiliar stirring inside that he attributes to natural curiosity. He's still more than willing to step in to help em out though, especially when they seem to be way more than willing to help him compared to most other freshmen.

Deuce - Deuce isn't very familiar with Borrowers so when Syn claims to be one he's a bit more confused than Ace. But, after finding out that being a Borrower means smaller and more vulnerable, he is more than willing to stick his neck out on the line for his homie. Much to Syn's chagrin at their friends protectiveness, despite knowing that they're at a disadvantage with being magicless anyways.

Leona - He honestly couldn't really care less about finding out Syn was a Borrower, of course. He'd probably scoff and say something like "Great, you're not just an herbivore, you're a rodent." He knew he'd smelled something weird about them but just figured it was from being from a different place. He'd been ignoring the odd way their scent made him feel considering he couldn't be bothered to figure out the reason, but once Syn tells him that they're a Borrower he's able to connect the dots between their presence and his instincts, along with the faint smell of their medicine since he's more sensitive to the scent of chemicals. While not being malicious, he definitely starts threatening to hunt/eat them a bit more. Whether or not he follows through depends on several factors. Personally, Leona doesn't think eating Syn would be very worthwhile most of the time considering how small they are despite his instincts being more heightened around them. Still, he thinks they're stupid for not only being magicless but also being weaker than the average human and seemingly going out of their way to either get in everyone's business or incredibly unlucky enough to get in everyone's business.

Ruggie - Also surprised to find out Syn is a Borrower. Considering he witnessed what he thought was a drug deal (which it technically was), he was hoping to blackmail them into splitting any potential profit was going on between ADeuce and Syn. But, when he finds out that Crewel is helping provide the necessary medication for free and that there's no profit to be made, he sort of loses most interest. Not all interest, he still has his instincts that are more interested in the Borrower than if he was human but he's not exactly one to make a sort of move on his own. If the opportunity somehow arises, he may try to take advantage, but he's also very aware of the network of acquaintances/friends Syn slowly starts building up. He also thinks Syn is too careless considering their status as a previously extinct creature that could be considered valuable if 'rediscovered'.

Jack - Is less surprised about Syn turning out to be a Borrower than he was about finding out Leona was behind the Spelldrive incident. Still, he is a bit startled about the information and thinks that the newly discovered fact just puts another target on their back. Since he now considers Syn even weaker than before - despite nothing really changing - and his morals of respect and loyalty, I could see him occasionally stepping in to help them out of a situation or two with a few of the other random students. Jack is very much into fighting to be stronger and not picking on weaker prey since it's too easy and doesn't prove a person's worth. Yet, he does see Syn as lower on whatever pecking order there is despite being willing to help out though he does respect their resilience.

Azul - Azul's first thought is, of course, money. Is there a way that he could use this as blackmail past the initial deal for the Ramshackle dormitory? But, with Syn receiving their medication with Crewel and in turn would certainly be fussed over to a capacity if they went missing, there's not a huge amount of blackmail potential other than the normal strong-arming. So, instead, he tries to pull a few of his more charming deceit tricks after being defeated in Book 3, things such as promising a certain amount of pay or study help in return for occasionally working at Mostro Lounge for publicity. Of course, he certainly isn't trying to keep them around to satisfy his own curiosity of why their Borrower presence is affecting his instincts as much as it is.

Jade - Jade's first thought is that he would really like to see Syn in their natural state to see if they're small enough to place in a terrarium. He wouldn't do that, of course, it's just a natural curiosity. After all, it's only natural to be curious about how a tiny humanoid would react in his presence, no? Ah, he's not looking to harm them, of course :)

Floyd - Floyd... well, it really depends on his mood. Either he's super interested in the information or he couldn't care any less about finding out Syn was a Borrower. If he doesn't care, his first thought is 'Whatever, they're Little Shrimpy anyways.' But if he is in a mood where he's interested he'll grin and go 'No way, Little Shrimpy's supposed to be SMALLER?!'. Depending on the day, if he's bored enough he's more than tempted to try and separate Syn from their meds to see them in their natural size.

Kalim - Kalim probably would have heard a little bit about Borrowers but wouldn't really know the specifics. He would literally just blink and say something along the lines of "A Borrower? I've never had a Borrower friend!" and would want to try and get to know Syn better. Syn would try to oblige, but compared to a school of magic and creatures they consider it pretty boring trying to convey it to Kalim. He's more than willing to offer a bunch of stuff to help them out even though they don't really take it.

Jamil - Is incredibly intrigued when he finds out about Syn's Borrower status. He thought he'd heard something about them involving magic, but information on them is rare, old, and vague. Still, he simply thinks that it makes it easier to potentially control them in his plan in Book 4. He thinks of Syn as decently resilient and reliable despite their situation, though he can't help the more egotistical thoughts of thinking about if everyone vould be as small as they naturally are.

Vil - Vil isn't very bothered about finding out Syn is a Borrower. Surprised like much everybody else given the extinction, but not bothered. Treats them about the same as he normally would and still calls them a 'Spudling' like with most of the other students. Still, he admires the tenacity of them being able to exist in such a school without completely breaking.

Rook - Rook is FASCINATED with Syn. It's not very often that a previously extinct species is able to more or less appear out of the blue. It's something fresh and exciting that he can look upon the behaviors and patterns of something so unknown. The information about Borrowers is so varied and scattered that he likes the challenge of being able to pick through what's right and wrong by being able to observe an actual living Borrower. Of course, the behaviors exhibited by Syn are vastly different considering their world, upbringing, and the fact that they've tried to spend most of their life as human-sized as possible. Still, it's an intriguing mix of cautious and careless that just triggers something within him similar to when he gazes upon Roi des Lions, something almost primal with the thrill of a hunt.

Epel - Borrowers would be considered a generational folktale from his home town despite them being a real thing, similar to how some cryptid creatures in real life could be attributed to things like animals with mange or a trick of the light in the wrong circumstance. He grew up with being told that Borrowers in the home was good luck somehow, but no one's seen or heard of a Borrower in generations. He thinks Syn and the others found out and are making fun of his home town at first, but when they're obviously being completely serious he's very surprised since he didn't think Borrowers were a universal thing considering Syn's world doesn't have Fae or magic. But, he's pretty amicable with them, even if it seems like they have the opposite of good luck with the amount of situations they manage to get into.

Idia - Personally could not care less. His parents would probably be fascinated by a Borrower existing past the historical records, but he sort of just goes "Huh, that's weird. Anyways." to go grind out on whatever game he has going on. At the most, he thinks they're a sucker that keeps getting roped into things despite being total NPC material.

Ortho - Ortho is WAY more curious about Syn after finding out they're a Borrower than Idia is. His knowledge logs about Borrowers are frustratingly lacking so he has no issues asking them about questions for both their world and their own physiology/behaviours. Still, he understands there are stipulations to comparing a single 'specimen' to an entire extinct species, but he still enjoys both figuring out what makes Syn tick and hanging out with them in general. (He really wants to play more games but easily fucking destroys Syn at every goddamn game they play)

Malleus - Probably too young to actually see a Borrower when he was younger, and anything told to him was probably along the lines of describing them as vermin. Despite spending decades to over a hundred years being told that Borrowers are pests and vermin too lowly for the heir of Briar Valley to even consider, and being incredibly surprised - and impressed - at the ingenuity to allow Syn to maintain a more human-sized form, it wouldn't lessen how he views them. In fact, he'd consider it even more impressive that they had the audacity to be as unafraid of him as they are. Surely Borrowers would have some sort of instincts against being near a potentialy Fae, but perhaps their world didn't have that. Regardless, the way that the revelation would make him a little bit protective would surprise even him, scared to perhaps lose them like their Twisted ancestors.

Lilia - He's the only one old enough to actually remember Borrowers. Given the general Fae societies distaste of humans and Fae racism (from diurnal Fae fearing the nocturnal Fae, the Senate looking down on 'lowly bat Fae', etc) Borrowers had been considered pests at best or snacks/threats at worst (Fairies being around a similar size would probably hate having a tiny version of more dangerous humans around, and I can see Fae in general taking their human animosity on Borrowers sometimes). He can't say that he's hasn't eaten a Borrower or a few in his days where they could be found in abundance, especially during the human-Fae war, but considering the prejudice he's been subjected to he was also one of the Fae that felt more guilt-ridden about what he had to do to survive. He'd be surprised to hear that Syn was a Borrower but would do his best to make them feel welcome and safe despite whatever past transgressions he's done. The mix of his odd parental nature, guilt, and the fact that Malleus seems to like Syn would attribute to him keeping a relatively close eye on them. Perhaps to an odd degree.

Sebek - Given his prejudice against humans in game and the assumption that just about every other humanoid viewed Borrowers as lesser, he would be very loud about his increased disdain towards Syn by calling them "borrower" in place of the in-game "human" and not just pointing out their lack of magic, but making comments about how even when they're 'magically' human-sized they're weak. He lessens after a little bit but still considers Syn weak and fragile (which isn't entirely wrong when pinned up against actual fucking magic and Fae). Personally, he can't fathom why such lowly creatures were considered even edible (he has the Borrower tastes like soap gene /j).

Silver - Apologizes on Sebek's behalf like in the game, a LOT. Given his more gentle nature (do not conflate gentle with weak, he will still kick peoples asses) he has no problem sympathizing with animals, let alone Syn when they're around Sebek. I can only imagine how he feels everytime Sebek says something degrading to humans in general. He probably doesn't think Sebek means it necessarily, but still. Regardless, since he usually ends up being the mediator between the others and Sebek's hardheaded attitude, he has a better standing with Syn than his half-Fae counterpart. Still, he doesn't quite understand the emotions that flare up sometimes when they're around him. (Silver did not inherit the Borrowers taste like soap gene /j)

Post-graduation hcs part 1

I have been thinking about what might await the boys once they graduate, realistically speaking. I'm tempted to do another hc series similar but them as parents or with a s/o or something 🙈. Sorry, some are shorter than others. Hope you like them:

🌹 Riddle

He moved in an apartment with Trey and Chenya temporarily until he has enough savings to live on his own, alternatively moves in with his s/o, if he has one, ideally after graduation. He had been preparing for an independent life away from home post-overblot without telling his parents and when the moment arrives there's probably a big fight between them, especially when Mrs Rosehearts discover he won't study to become a magical doctor like she planned.

In his birthday vignette he shows interest in studying law, so I think he would be a judge. To me it's canon because it's a reference of how the Queen of Hearts was the judge in Wonderland trials.

Riddle disappointed his parents —more like infuriated Mrs Rosehearts— and had multiple arguments with his mom about what his future but he no longer cares what she says. He might like to continue being in contact if they come to terms he's free to do whatever he wants with his life; most likely only his father accepts this. #DisneyletRiddlehaveatleastoneredeemedparentchallenge

Riddle will need time to heal and accept this rupture is the best for him, but he'll still look at the past and mourn for the childhood and family he never had. He likes his job but sometimes he feels beyond exhausted after certain cases. Praying he gets the growth spurt or self confidence on his height he deserves 🙏

♠ Deuce

Deuce had one goal already in mind since his early freshman days, being a police officer, and by his determination you can bet he worked on it until the dream became a reality. Needless to say mama spade is super proud of her boy.

Oh the delinquent angsty teenager becoming a police. The irony. The amount of comments and stories his mom will share with his friends when they come to their hometown. They're not letting it live down.

Trey mentioned in chapter 5 that the best mages from fire and policemen are recruited by an international organization called Arcane Response Unit, which if I remember correctly it's the one that responds in OB cases when they aren't extremely dangerous. I find it sweet imagining Riddle and him keep seeing each other due their jobs.

I'm sorry I have no idea which career he could be interested in (╥﹏╥) Maybe when we know his unique magic and more about him I'll write something else. After graduation I can see Ace, Deuce, Grim and MC choosing to share an apartment while studying their major studies, if MC is still in TWST of course. Main trouble gang now as roommates, imagine the chaos.

♣ Trey

If he's roommates with Chenya and Riddle, they split chores: he's in charge of the cooking most of the time. He's also the one who keeps most contact with Heartslabyul classmates due his popularity as the "dad friend", but his closest relationships aside from Riddle are with Cater and Adeuce. Often reminds them via message to rest and gets upset if he finds out they have been slacking on a healthy lifestyle after moving away from home.

Either chooses to run his family bakery after his parents retire or becomes a chef in some restaurant. I imagine Azul would be interested in keeping Trey close or tries to hire him for his restaurant business.

Just like Ace I believe Cater tried to make the most out of his school life, so planning from the start what he exactly was going to do wasn't in his top priorities. He knew he still wanted to have time for social media, and despite some minor existential crisis about his future he was realistically listing his abilities and cons in his search for okay-ish jobs.

Eventually he set up for working on social media management or marketing: him being able to read the room + being updated with the latest trends and internet language + meme culture + his obsession liking of Magicam + knowledge to make great pics to post = Best job for him!

In spite of the time being a publicist for brands and influencers take he still updates his Magicam account. Not exactly a worldwide star but I can see him having around +500K overtime and even hitting the million there or in his twst youtube channel. Because of his job and hobby he still cross path with Vil sometimes.

About his family... Just like Riddle I see him looking forward to move in #ASAP, but Cater kept in contact with his family because their relationship still could still be fixed. Therapy may be needed to further explore and heal his family issues and roots of his depression but eventually he's better, if anything still a bit salty with his sisters (don't get me wrong everyone here should go but Cater is in the list or easier to convince) Extra good sis points if they are the ones who talk with Cay-Cay about going to therapy and agree to go with him if asked <3

🦁 Leona

For a moment I wrongly thought "This man is filthy rich, I 100% can see him not doing anything with all the money he has if he feels like it." before the realisation that contradicts his character smacked me in the face. Seeing how he denied the idea of losing without a fight in the tournament I think he'll try to exit his title as being only the second born and make a name for himself.

Given he's a respected leader in his dorm and how he can put in work his leadership skills when the moment requires it Leona would want to be involved in his kingdom management.

Leona has a tattoo that resembles Scar's, and I think that was a symbol of the royal guard, so maybe he'd become royal guard captain. Something like an ambassador or related to military or diplomatic relationships, representing the royal family and travelling for politic reasons.

Knowing Leona he'd be keep ignoring his depression until others talk him out of that procrastinating attitude and force convince him to search help, most likely his s/o or Farena's wife scolding, since it seems he'd do what they tell him even if it's grudgingly. Cheka probably goes to RSA and by then any ill feelings towards his nephew are gone, although he'll always act like he annoys him.

🍩 Ruggie

In Ruggie SSR dorm card is shown Ruggie is fluent at Animal Linguistics. With his participation at the Animal Linguistics Speech Contest I'm positive he could find a job about it, perhaps work alongside Leona as the royal family interpreter.

Regardless of which career he chooses he'll make some good cash and after receiving paychecks he'll spoil his grandma and give small treats to his neighbours by buying a lot of food and making occasional meals for everybody when he visits.

🐺 Jack

Unless he marries somebody whose homeland is different I picture him living in his hometown tending to his cactus. He has a nice house, big enough to raise some kids, and space enough to grew his plants. Man has simple needs and he is content with it.

Definitely the most likely who ends up having a spouse out of all the students, closely followed by Epel and Rook imo.

At first I was blank about his career but thanks to a user on Reddit I agree with them that Jack could be a personal coach or some sort of athletic instructor, for instance ski/snowboard teacher since he likes it. Or a professional athlete.

🐙 Azul

Azul invests in the market and hit big numbers earlier than anybody else. Technically he doesn't need to work anymore or worry about making an income but he still runs a restaurant, expanding his empire as the owner of high quality restaurants both in land and sea. Chains like Applebee's are shit under his foot in comparison lol

Still trying to keep in contact with his dear classmates who he spent so many wonderful days Definitely not because he could use having the Asim new family leader or the royal captain or a honourable judge like Riddle or the STYX leader nono-

🐬 Jade & Floyd 🦈

The ones who mop the floor with Azul's competition

They are still by Azul's side, but they continue in their family business behind the scenes. Probably meet Riddle in the courtyard. Not because they are careless to leave traces behind mind you, Floyd just felt like squeezing some annoying dude and the law is being unfunny and charging him for aggression. Jade is never caught on the things his twin is accused of, but Riddle has the feeling he's never too far from the fights.

Each time the case is closed or paid with community services. Azul pays the penalty fees and the octotrio always act oh so casually about it while getting in Riddle's nerves. Poor golfishie thought he'd see the last of them after ending NRC and now he's near a mental breakdown when he reads "Leech" in his next trial file. Said trials must be a sight to behold, which is why Jade goes whenever he's not busy, amused.

👑 Vil

The octatrio preferably lives on land for different reasons: Floyd has an expensive and varied shoe collection he can't wear underwater, Jade happily built a greenhouse for his terrariums, and Azul has houses both in land and sea to supervise his restaurants and going on vacation when he feels like it.

Despite their shared shady business is likely the twins do secondary jobs to entertain themselves: Floyd keeps starting projects and dropping them once he gets bored, from modelling to participate in monster truck events. Jade studied economics and is in charge of the financial administrations of the business, but is member of a mountain lovers forum and its most active and enthusiastic user.

Vil had already planned his career since a child. However, he continued to expand his horizons: actor, super model, movie director, guionist, activist for lgbt rights and other causes, maybe helping Crewel to make a new fashion collection for upcoming seasons...you know, he takes Barbie's motto seriously. Probably loves being a director because he can envision and lead a movie while being on screen. He's Barbie because he can be everything he decides to be except being more popular than Neige

He keeps in contact with several classmates, including Rook, Epel, occasionally Cater etc. He has an online shop that sells products made by himself, except collabs he makes with other brands like Azul's moisturiser. Don't worry Floyd is okay, they found other merman to use :)

Leona and company keep feeling observed, he has many people terrified. If hunter isn't his job then it must be related to beauty, but because he sees beauty in everything I'm not sure. Perhaps he has the same job as whatever his family worked to get all those villas but maybe they are just rich and inherited that CMON DISNEY TELL ME IF HIS FAM HAS A SHADY BUSINESS ALREADY! ARE THEY COPS?? WTF I NEED INFO

If he doesn't follow his family footsteps he could enjoy working as a photographer, capturing the inner beauty of the world both as a naturalist photographer and a fashion one. Hunting and stalking are his hobbies.

One of those who has higher chancer to get married at some point I think, but it's a bit tricky. He sure loves many things but something about it tells me in the present time he thinks he still has so many beautiful things and people to meet that he cannot imagine committing to somebody for the rest of his life yet?? Unless that person was fine he would marvel and compliment and stalk anyone he's around...

Open to having a longtime and stable relationship but it would make more sense if he waits until later in his life to get married in my opinion, realistically speaking at least. But be could also jump straight to marriage if his love for his s/o is that big, if his s/o is Neige, Vil or someone he adores as much as them.

🍎 Epel

Another student who had his future somewhat well thought out since he was a freshman.

Not long after graduation he studies a major degree and works in his family farm, trying to improve the Harveston farmers laboral conditions by implementing innovative methods to grow apples more resistant to cold temperatures...First he has to convince the skeptic elderly that technology and science can mesh together with tradition just fine. (This idea is from what he says in the Harveston event)

As weird as it sounds I can see Epel gaining more muscle after all those years working out. I'm divided between him growing taller or being ripped but continue being the shortest of the first year gang lol

Ace Info Compilation part 11: Ace and Cater

Cater and Ace meet for the first time right after the opening ceremonies and during Heartslabyul’s welcome party, when Cater overhears him trying to convince Deuce to sneak into the headmage’s office.

The second time they meet Cater accosts both him and Deuce for a selfie as “the ones who broke a billion-thaumark chandelier” and “the one who ate the housewarden’s tart that same night.”

After drafting them into painting roses Cater reveals that Ace won’t actually be allowed back into the dorm until he brings a tart to replace what he stole, and he never intended to allow them back in the first place.

On EN Cater assigns Ace and Deuce the nickname “hunting season,” but only uses it once before changing to “A2.” On JP, his nickname for the two is always “ADeuce.”

In a vignette we see Ace going to Cater’s aid of his own accord: when other Heartslabyul students accuse Cater of being a poor leader and call for Riddle to collar him, Ace interrupts to reveal that their problem can be solved via Cater’s Magicam account. Ace even joins in to help Cater’s group without complaint, saying it is “like a treasure hunt.”

Ace often seems to blur the lines of politeness and formality, and this is especially true of his interactions with Cater: despite Cater being both older and an upperclassman, Ace is quick to call Cater out for going off “on some tangent” and for showing up to try their chestnut tart without helping prepare it in Book 1, despite having only just met him.

Ace also calls Cater “way too shallow” and “a shameless fanboy” in Book 5.

Ace is possibly just very comfortable around Cater, saying that he would choose him as his older brother if he could.

We see Cater sharing sweets from Trey with Ace and the two students attend the Wish Upon a Star event together (where Ace offers to take a video on Cater’s behalf), Ace performs sleight of hand tricks for Cater, offers to teach him (in exchange for a favor) and goes to Cater when Deuce is having difficulty with math.

During Halloween we see Cater get a phone call from Trey saying that Ace has jumped in to help Deuce with a problem and Cater responds, “Ugh, he’s probably just trying to do me a ‘favor’ so he can get leverage over me!”

(Ace refusing to help without receiving proper compensation seems to be a theme: in a vignette where Silver is having trouble coming up with a look for Halloween Ace offers to give him advice in exchange for receiving tips on how to recreate Diasomnia’s gothic aesthetic. (“…since I’m gonna be scratching your back, you can go ahead and scratch mine!”)

Ace seems to namedrop Cater very often, mentioning him in Book 3 and 5 saying he has “surprisingly good moves” on a broom and expressing displeasure that Cater tagged a picture of him on his birthday as “GrowingBoyAcey.”

When Ace learns that most of the dorm disappeared at the start of Spectral Soiree his first reaction is, “Wait, where’s Cater?”
