So, apparently, that character development process isn't all that weird. Awesome!

My og comment from reddit in a general a hellverse sub about Bee getting the ick from watching Mammon chow down (can u tell I was walking on eggshells to not piss off defensive fans lol) and my expanded thoughts
Tumblr media
Now for my unfiltered opinion. Ahem. Yeah it's actually very VERY stupid to have the sin of Gluttony, even a "nice party girl" and alternative take on it, to look disturbed by Greed (seriously, it's almost funny how similar gluttony is to greed in description) messily gorging on food. Like okay. They don't like each other, even hate each other. Sure. But for a haha funny reaction to Mammon going wild for lunch, you can keep Ozzie looked sickened, fine, but just have Bee glaring at him in a "this is not the time asshole" kind of way or SOMETHING damn idk.
Also. So many fans not knowing the full def of Gluttony. I felt like I was going insane with barely a few people in comment sections filled with thousands only getting it. It's not just being a foodie that maybe snacks too much, or drinking a few too many beers, or taking drugs at a party or whatever else people said lol. It's messy, it's over excess to the point of harm. It's sloppy, messy, kinda gross. Whether it's food, drink, or anything you overindulge in, it's not pretty. It's also...GREEDY. Let me not go on a tangent about how I think it would be more interesting for Bee and Mammon to frenemies instead-
And yeah. I made a post...about a year ago? About my slight discomfort and how unsure I was with how Mammon, and the few other plus size characters across both shows, were portrayed despite liking him. And wow did his portrayal this episode actually kinda made me a bit mad. Just made him the butt of the joke and gave him the obnoxious/annoying unlovable fat bully trope. Thanks for that I guess. Whatever I still love him lol.At least he was rocking the cool skeleton suit.
Also Ozzie. Don't tag team with Bee to clap back at Mammon like this is some teen's attempt at YA where the two friend characters always have a comeback for the pathetic bully character. Please. This is embarrassing. Don't let my GOAT be washed </3

【 found family hc's 】
abby anderson x fem!reader & ellie williams x fem!reader
Tumblr media
wc: 4.4k
song rec: house song by searows. i listened to this on loop the entire time i was writing.
content: established relationship, modern!au, fluff galore, hc's for both abs and els, christmas with abs!!!!, bbq with ellie and family, minor angst, but this is all fluff so sweet it rots your teeth, hc's AND long blurbs for abby and ellie, mentions of parent loss(in this modern!au abby's mother passed away), mentions of adoption(for ellie's hc's), and sarah is here!! she is ellie's older sister <33 also pls read a/n for more info
a/n: in which you are dating one of the girlies, meet their fathers, and detailing your journey into becoming part of the family. i kinda wrote this with the idea of what it’s like to not come from a healthy family in mind, but it’s also vague and written in a way where you’re able to interpret it and shape it to fit whatever you have in mind and relate it to what you know. the main theme here, though, is finding/making your own family and building a beautiful life despite your past. this is kinda just me hoping i’ll be able to do the same one day. i began writing this while really sad, but i’m posting this in much better spirits. this started with my sadness, but now it makes me feel hopeful. anyways, pls enjoy, and if you think you’ll need them, get your tissues ready. i love you all and you are all so beautiful and worthy of love and good things. and if any of you ever need anything, my inbox and dm's are open <333
GENERAL HEADCANONS — applies to both abby and ellie
It’s an uncomfortable conversation, but when your relationship with her started getting serious, you explained what your family/home life was like and that although you’d love to, your family probably wouldn’t want to foster a close relationship with either of you. You told her you understood if this was a dealbreaker and if it was something she couldn’t tolerate, but that wasn’t her reaction at all. Instead, you were met with complete understanding that almost left you sobbing. You were happy to have someone finally understand that family—and navigating it—hasn’t been easy for you and it was good to not have things out of your control held against you for once.
As your relationship progressed, she made it clear to you that she’d love to introduce you to her family and that they were excited to meet you. She promised that they’d accept you into open arms and that everything would go well, so there was nothing to worry about.
You were nervous, of course, unsure how any of it would unfold because you had never met her family before. You had heard so much about them and knew they must have been amazing people to have raised someone as great as your girlfriend, but you were still scared. What if they could see everything wrong with you with just one look? What if they thought you were too damaged and no good for their daughter? Or what if they just didn’t like you? It was all so worrisome, but your girlfriend assured you it would all be okay.
Meeting the rest of the family was one thing, but meeting their fathers was the scariest part.
ABBY ANDERSON
You met Abby's dad during Thanksgiving—typical and sappy, but just so Abby. Of course she’d bring someone home during the holidays. You had been dating her for almost a year now, so it was about time you met him. You knew that Abby's mother passed when she was very young, and you also knew it would just be the three of you together for the holiday. Jerry did everything to make any occasion happy for his daughter since he knew her life would be hard enough without a mother, and that included holidays. As a busy surgeon—the top one of your city’s hospital, no less—he’s lucky to get this day off, and although he can’t make a whole turkey on his own, he cooks many other dishes to make up for it. He goes all out making desserts as he likes baking more than cooking, and he’s the main reason Abby has such a sweet tooth.
Jerry is nothing but welcoming to you, telling you how he’s heard so much about you (which in turn makes Abby blush, thinking to herself, He wasn’t supposed to say that! but she still keeps her cool). He asks you all about yourself, if you’re in school and what for, what your plans for the future are, then jumps straight into his dad-threats. He tells you in a serious voice that you better take care of his daughter, then lets out a laugh and offers you a slice of pie.
It went well, and you even stayed the night at Abby's childhood home, sleeping in her big and well-furnished room.
“What do you think?” she asked.
“I think it went well,” you said. The two of you were huddled up underneath the covers in her old bed, and it’s comfier than you expected. Maybe it’s because Abby has you pulled close to her chest as her hand rubs comforting circles on your back, but it’s still heavenly. “I just can’t tell if he likes me or not.”
“Please, he likes you,” she assured you. You could feel her trailing her hand down your sides gently now. “Otherwise he wouldn’t have been in such a good mood today. Promise.” You let out a small sigh at her words. You didn’t want to argue with her about this, and you felt the only thing you could possibly do was hope she was right.
You did see Jerry a few times after that, but it was only when Abby invited you to go see him with her. He was always kind and welcoming, but you couldn’t shake the gnawing feeling in your chest that maybe he didn’t actually like you. What if he was faking all of it? You couldn’t think of any good reasons why he’d like you and accept you with open arms. It didn’t make sense to you because all you knew to expect from a parental figure was rejection. Maybe he just didn’t think you were good enough for his daughter. You didn’t tell Abby any of this, though, because you knew she’d be crushed to hear you don’t think her dad likes you. It’s also because she’ll just tell you for the millionth time he does, and you’d hate asking her for the same reassurance over and over again. In the case of her father’s acceptance, it would do nothing to quell your fears.
You hadn’t expected the holiday season to help erase these fears, but they did. After a late night of watching movies, Abby brought up visiting her father for Christmas with you by her side. She was excited as she told you all about her and her dad’s traditions: drinking hot coco, watching cheesy Christmas movies, stockings full of gifts, and the works. You couldn’t tell her no. Not when her face was beaming with excitement and she had a big smile across her face. You appreciated how much she wanted to include you—no, scratch that, cherished it—but deep down inside you felt out of place. You felt like an environment as soft and as warm as that was not a place where you belonged. It’s not what you knew, not what you were used to, but you put on a brave face for Abby.
You didn’t believe her when she told you how extensively Jerry decorated the house, but it was exactly as she said. As soon as you walked through the front door, you could smell the vanilla candles and the scent of pine mixed together. You were greeted not only by Jerry, but by the presence of mini-Santa statues and multi-colored nutcrackers. There was a big wreath on the outside of the front door, and an even bigger one hung around the family portrait of Abby and her father. The Christmas tree was huge, probably close to six feet tall, and by the smell of the fresh pine emanating from it, you knew it was real. The tree was decorated with gold and silver ornaments, bright lights, tinsel, and a giant star at the top. The fireplace had stockings lined up against the chimney with other statues, trinkets, and family photos lining the shelf. The tree casted a warm glow over the living room, and it just felt so cozy inside. It’s crazy to think that this is what Abby grew up with, that this is the kind of childhood she had, but at the same time you’re happy it was. It’s what she deserves.
It may be Christmas day, but it’s already 9 P.M., so Jerry suggests hot coco, sweets, and a cheesy movie. Abby, of course, agrees and picks out her favorite movie for you all to watch. You helped her pick it out, specifically choosing it because you’ve never seen it before and because you know she loves it. You all get a slice of Jerry’s homemade apple pie, and it’s so warm and gooey you’re sure you’ve never tasted anything like it before. You wonder where in the mix of being a surgeon he found the time to be so good at baking, but it’s still so endearing. You wonder how many times he practiced these recipes for Abby, and it’s so heartwarming. You hope you can one day offer her a home the same way Jerry has.
Jerry settles into his worn-out, leather recliner with his cup of hot chocolate while you and Abby occupy the couch. There’s a glass coffee table in front of it where your two mugs rest as the two of you are snug in a blanket you’re sharing together. You’re nestled into Abby’s side with her arm over your shoulder as you watch the movie together. It’s comfortable, and the warm, yellow lights make the moment that much more beautiful. They cast a glow on Abby, making her look sweeter than she already does. Her hair is down for once, and you’re lost in the tenderness of the moment. Occasionally the two of you move forward and grab your mugs for a sip, but besides that this wholeness has no interruptions. It’s like you can feel your doubts melting away, and you feel comforted, welcomed, by the warmth of this moment. It doesn’t seem to push you away anymore, but rather it’s something you feel compelled to be a part of now. Well, no, that’s not exactly right either. It’s like you are a part of it now, and it’s accepting your embrace rather than your rejection. You don’t feel the need to push it away anymore, to create excuse after excuse as to why you don’t deserve it, and it’s like you’re finally letting it make its home in your heart.
After the movie finished and you all had your fill of hot chocolate, you hear Jerry get up from his seat and mention that he wants to give out stockings. You don’t think much of it, watching the man as he walks up to the fireplace and grabs two of the stockings that were hanging. You hadn’t paid much attention to them earlier, but when he comes up to you and Abby, you realize you should’ve. One has Abby’s name stitched into it with blue and orange thread, and the other has your name threaded into it with your favorite colors. He gives Abby her stocking first, then holds the one with your name on it out towards you.
“Is that for me?” you asked.
“Sure is,” Abby answered. You glance over at her and she’s practically beaming. She seems so proud of herself.
“Abby helped me make it. She made sure it had your favorite colors and everything,” Jerry explained. You finally take the stocking from his hands, feeling the heft of the weight of whatever was inside.
“I bet she got mad if you suggested a color that wasn’t.” You crack a joke in the face of this moment, because if you think too hard, look at the stocking too long, you might start crying.
“Nearly tore my head off,” Jerry laughed. “But it’s so you know you’re part of the family now.” You nod your head, clenching your jaw as your gaze keeps shifting between the stocking and the floor.
“Thank you,” was all you could manage to say in reply. You’re sure you could burst into tears at any moment, but at the very least they’re happy ones.
ELLIE WILLIAMS
You were never as scared of anything as you were to meet Joel Miller. You had seen him in photos with him and Ellie, and he did not look like he played around. In fact, he looked like he’s never fucked around a day in his life. The man intimidated you, and you had never even met him before.
Ellie’s Uncle Tommy’s birthday was coming up, and you were invited to the family celebration that would include Uncle Tommy, Aunt Maria, Joel, Ellie’s older sister, Sarah, and now you.
You had met Joel in passing with a quick “hello” whenever you visited his and Ellie's house, but you had never formally met him, especially not the rest of the family, either. You had also never met Sarah as she lived in a different city and was older than you and Ellie, but you were excited to. She was a young teen when Ellie had been adopted, and you had heard so many stories from Ellie about what an amazing older sister she was, so that was at least one family member you weren’t scared of. Uncle Tommy and Aunt Maria, though? Maria was intimidating, and Tommy and Joel had both been in the military. Who wouldn’t be afraid?
“Everything’s gonna be okay,” Ellie reassured you. You were both standing in front of Tommy and Maria’s front door, nervous as could be. Ellie held your hand in hers as she rubbed her thumb across your skin. “They’ll love you, promise.” Ellie reached up with her free hand and knocked on the door. A second passed in silence between the two of you before the door opened, and you were met face-to-face with Maria. She had short graying hair and a freckled face that reminded you of Ellie’s, and as soon as her eyes landed on the two of you, her lips turned upwards into a wide smile.
“Ellie, is this [Y/N]?” she asked. Ellie smiled shyly as she nodded her head.
“Yes, this is her,” she answered.
“Well, it’s nice to meet you,” Maria said politely. She was just all smiles, and she was much warmer compared to the scary image of her you created in your head. To be fair, she did seem really intimidating from her pictures, but she was nothing of the sort.
“Nice to meet you, too,” you managed to reply. You were still nervous, feeling like you were choking on the anxious butterflies dancing around your stomach.
“And she’s polite,” Maria prodded. She smiled even bigger as she pulled the door open for the two of you. “Anyways, come in. Joel and Tommy are in the back with the grill set up already, so just follow me.” Ellie walked through the doorway, pulling you with her towards the back of the house. Maria led you through the house’s front hallway into the living den furnished with couches and countless photos and decor hanging on the blue walls, then turned left into the kitchen. Sitting at the table was an older woman at least in her 30’s scrolling through her phone, but her eyes perked up as soon as she saw you all enter the kitchen. Almost immediately an excited smile spread across her face.
“Sarah!” Ellie greeted. The woman jumped up from her seat and gave Ellie a tight hug.
“Ellie, is this her?” she asked. Her eyes kept moving back and forth between the two of you.
“Yes, this is her,” Ellie answered.
“Wow, I’m so happy to meet you!” Sarah cheered. She came over to you and gave you a hug, something you hadn’t expected, but you returned it the best you could. As soon as Sarah pulled away from the hug, she was talking again. The way she carried herself was so confident and firm, and she held great amounts of eye contact while speaking—something you were struggling with at the moment. “Ellie has told me so much! She never stops talking about you!” She had a sweet, Texan accent when she spoke like Joel, while Ellie only had a slight one in comparison.
“Sarah!” Ellie groaned.
“What?” she asked coyly. “Was I not supposed to say that?” The answer was yes, and she knew that, but how could she resist teasing her little sister? Ellie just rolled her eyes.
“Come on, y’all, they’re waiting for us outside,” Maria announced. She nodded her head in the direction of the door behind the kitchen table, and you found yourself taking a deep breath. The door was glass, so you could see the wooden porch outside and the green grass, but no sign of Joel or Tommy—you know, just the two men who terrified you the most.
“Oh, yeah, I was gonna help Dad with the grill,” Sarah sighed.
“You? Helping with the grill?” Ellie teased.
“Hmm, more like standing there and talking to him,” she said.
“That sounds more like what you meant,” Ellie responded.
“Yeah, see y’all out there.” Sarah got up from her seat and was the first to open the back door, the hot air and smell of grilled meat wafting in as soon as she did. Maria followed her soon after, and you knew you and Ellie should follow suit, but you found yourself stuck, unsure what to do.
“Hey, you okay?” Ellie asked. The sound of the door closing shut hung in the air, and you knew you’d have to open it again soon.
“Yeah, just… nervous,” you explained.
“Everything will be alright, promise. I’m gonna be here the whole time, and we’re gonna be eating, too. That won’t be too bad, now, will it?” she asked.
“No, I guess not,” you replied.
“And you’ve got me right next to you. Don’t forget that.” Ellie gave you a sheepish smile, and you did your best to return it despite the queasiness in your stomach.
The barbeque went well, and it wasn’t as bad as you thought it would be. In fact, you felt well-received by Tommy as Maria and Sarah helped encourage him to hold conversation with you. The two women did a lot to help conversation flow and welcome you as much as possible, but the one person you felt like you weren’t getting through to was Joel. He was just so… quiet. It’s as if he was always on guard, always analyzing the situation, but what did you expect from a guy who used to be in the military? That seems to be the exact kind of disposition he’d have. He only really gave small replies in single words here and there, maybe an autobiographical question for you, then he’d retreat back to his silence. It was honestly unnerving, and as much as you did your best to immerse yourself in the conversation, in Ellie’s little jokes, Tommy’s laughter, Joel intimidated you more than anyone else ever had before. Why was he so quiet? Did he see something wrong with you? Did he not think you were fit to be his daughter’s girlfriend? Was he waiting for you to make a mistake? Was he planning how to tell Ellie that he didn’t think the two of you were a good match? All the possibilities were endless, and every single one terrified you to no end.
Despite the anxiety eating you up from the inside, you did your best to maintain your composure. You answered whatever questions Ellie’s family had for you, laughed at the jokes like you should have, all while trying to keep the crushing fear at bay. Ellie seemed to sense it somewhat, because at multiple points throughout the dinner she’d grab your hand under the table or rub your thigh comfortingly. When the night started slowing down, the sun sinking lower and lower, Tommy and Maria declared the end of the dinner and started clearing the table. Joel and Sarah disappeared into the house, carrying trash and whatever else they could back inside. Ellie leaned in close to your ear in order to speak.
“How are you feeling?” she whispered.
“I’m doing okay,” you answered. “Not as nervous as before, but still a little.”
“Did you enjoy yourself, though?”
“I did,” you replied.
“Joel and Tommy are good at barbecuing, huh?”
You laughed a little at her prodding. “Yeah, they are.”
“Look, we’re gonna get you some extra family points, yeah? Let’s offer to help Maria clean up. How does that sound?”
“Sounds good to me,” you said. This time you were the one to offer Ellie a little smile, one she was happy to see on your face after such a long day.
“Perfect.” She stood up from her chair and brushed off her jeans. “Hey, Maria, let me and [Y/N] help you clean up a bit,” she announced.
“Well, aren’t you sweet?” Maria asked.
“The sweetest,” Ellie joked. You were next to stand up from the table, picking up both your plate and Ellie’s while she gathered the left behind cups. Tommy had already retreated inside with the large dishes of food, leaving you with just Maria and Ellie. It was quiet besides the clanking of the dishes as all three of you walked inside. Ellie walked behind you as you reentered the house, slotting dishes in the sink and discarding whatever trash she had. Ellie came up behind you, her back pressing into yours for a second when Maria disappeared into the living room where everyone else presumably was.
“How far do we wanna take these points?” she whispered.
“Well, what are you thinking?” you asked her.
“I say we wash the dishes,” she suggested, and you could just imagine the stupid, little grin on her face. “It’ll make them like me more, too.”
“You’re such a dork,” you said as the laugh spilled out your lips. You turned around to look at her, and there was a goofy grin on her face just like you expected. Her hands ventured to rest on your waist, placing a kiss on your forehead.
“Whatever. Come on, let’s just do it.”
“Okay, you hate doing the dishes, so I’m starting to wonder what this is really about.”
“I… may or may not have promised Maria I’d do the dishes, and she’ll kill me if I don’t.”
“This is why you watch the promises you make,” you said.
“Moving along,” she said in a rushed manner, “are you gonna help me or not?”
“Yeah, because I need you alive.”
You and Ellie slotted yourselves side by side as you were forced to wash the dishes on account of your girlfriend’s promises. She was stuck washing while you dried the dishes. At one point Joel had wandered through the kitchen, muttering a small greeting to you both before disappearing outside. He left the back door open somewhat, but you said nothing, figuring he would be coming back inside soon. Despite the small interruption, Ellie, of course, couldn’t help being a little shit and splashing you with water every once in a while.
“You got my shirt wet!” you’d scold her.
“I’m sorry, baby,” she’d say all fakely. She pulled you into a hug, but once you separated, she splashed you with water again. After washing the dishes and Ellie cleaned the kitchen up a bit, you could tell she was tired and ready to go home.
“You look tired,” you commented to her.
“Yeah, I’m… all tuckered out. You ready to go home?”
“If you are, yeah.”
“Okay, let me find my… Where are my keys?” she asked. She patted at her pockets, looking for any sign of them, only to come back empty. “I think I left them outside.”
“I can go get them for you,” you offered.
“Oh, good idea. You get my keys and I say bye to everyone for us. Perfect.”
“Alright, I’ll go find them for you. Be right back.” You gave Ellie a quick kiss on the cheek before wandering outside through the back door. As soon as you stepped outside, your eyes landed on Joel sitting on one of the chairs with a mug in his hand. You had forgotten he was even out here in the first place, and you hadn’t expected or planned for this interaction with him. You took a deep, calming breath. You needed to act normal.
“Hello, Joel,” you spoke up. He turned to look at you, then returned his gaze to his mug. It was dark outside, and the porch light may have been on, but it was a dim, yellow light. Not at all helpful as your eyes scoured the ground for Ellie’s keys.
“Hello.” It was quiet as you wandered to the table, looking across the top of it for Ellie’s keys. Still no sign of them. You pulled the chairs out, and you didn’t find them on the seats either. You sighed as you pulled out your phone and turned on your flashlight. “What are you lookin’ for?” Joel asked.
“Um, Ellie’s keys. She can’t find them.” You squatted down to the floor, shining the light around the wooden porch as you continued your search.
“Oh, you two gettin’ ready to leave?” he asked. You turned your phone to the right, and something silver glinted back at you. The keys. Thank God. You grabbed onto them and got back up from the ground.
“Yeah, she said she was tired and ready to go home.”
Joel let out a small chuckle. “That sounds like her,” he remarked.
“It very much is her,” you replied.
“I heard her splashin’ you with water in there.”
“She can’t help herself,” you said. “She apologized, then she did it again.”
“Does that… make you mad?” he asked.
“No, not at all.” You were wondering what he was getting at with the question.
“You and her seem to get along well,” he pointed out.
“I think so, too,” you said, hoping you were choosing your words well.
“I can tell she really loves you, you know,” Joel said. He took a sip out of his drink, then glanced at you. “And you seem really good for her, too.” The words hit you right in the heart. You knew from what Ellie told you that Joel wasn’t a man of many words, but these were just enough. They seemed to give you the kind of confirmation you were looking for, that maybe you could put down the anxiety plaguing your mind.
“I’m glad you think so,” you said. You glanced at the mug in his hands again. Was that steam? “Can I ask what you’re drinking?”
“It’s coffee.”
“This late?” you asked.
“The girls always tell me that,” he said, and you saw the smallest glimpse of a smile ghosting his lips. You figured by “the girls,” he must have been referring to Sarah and Ellie, and that small detail stuck out to you. Despite how scary he was, deep down inside he was just a dad. A girl-dad, at that.
“Ellie always tells me how much she hates coffee.”
“She never lets that go. I tell her she has underdeveloped tastebuds to make her mad.”
“That’s perfect for getting under her skin,” you replied.
“That’s why I say it. Anyways, she’s probably lookin’ for you by now, or me, maybe.”
“Probably,” you responded. “After I find her, she’ll probably come tell you bye before we leave. I’m gonna do that now.”
“You go do that,” he said. “And you better take good care of her, by the way.” You smiled a little bit. Had you heard him say that earlier, you probably would have shit your pants, but now you were comforted by the dad-threat.
“I will,” you said confidently.
“Or I will… do something. I don’t know, I’ll figure it out.”
“I take your word for it,” you replied. You turned around to walk back inside, keys in hand, a new kind of pep in your step as you looked for Ellie.

Amaimon X Student 12
So, i'm mostly done writing the Amaimon x Exorcist chapter 3 but this idea came to me and I couldn't let it go. 🫢
When Shiemi assures you, that yes, Rin deleted the photo, she is sure of it. You open your photo app once again. “Wait, it’s actually cute.” You comment, gazing at the photo. “Okay, it’s really cute.” You grin.
Izumo scoffs. “It’s gross _____.
Paku leans closer to you to get another look. “It is kind of cute.”
“Right?” You grin.
Izumo glares at the two of you. “It’s not cute at all, and you would think differently if you saw what we saw on the camping trip.” She tells Paku.
You huff, “I was on the camping trip; it’s cute.”
“And clearly, you’ve got a screw loose.” You pout at her words but don’t argue against it.
After the four of you finish, you go your separate ways. Shiemi and you head to your apartment while Paku and Izumo head in different directions. The walk to your apartment is quiet, and Shiemi seems really nervous throughout. Once you arrive, you gently nudge her inside, “Okay, tell me what’s wrong.”
“I’m sorry! I shouldn’t have said anything, I just didn’t realize you didn’t know, and I said it in front of other people.” She looks like she’s going to start crying, so you quickly wrap your arms around her. “No, no. Shiemi, it’s okay. Izumo and Paku are some of our closest friends, right? It’s okay. I’m just glad you told me.” She nods against your shoulder as she hugs you back.
“…._____?”
“Yeah?”
“You didn’t really put his…thing…in your mouth, right?”
“….”
----------------------------------------------------
Amaimon cautiously steps into Mephisto’s office. The king of time had sounded odd over the phone when he requested that Amaimon come for a brief chat.
“Oh, I'm glad you’re here. Please, take a seat and enjoy some tea. We need to have a brief chat about Miss ____.” He gestures to the chair opposite his desk as he speaks to Amaimon. Said demon glances at the chair and then back at Mephisto before calmly sitting down.
“Tell me, what do you know about Miss _____?”
“…”
Mephisto nodded. “I suspected as much. She comes from a long line of exorcists, a lineage typically marked by great power. For centuries, they have served the order tirelessly.” He observed Amaimon cautiously, and as expected, there was no sign of reaction. “Unfortunately, many of them were wiped out during the Blue Night, particularly the younger generation. Miss ______ is the last one left to carry on the bloodline unless her parents have another child, though honestly, that seems unlikely.” Still, Amaimon remained unfazed. “Her parents are exceptionally strict; I’m unsure how she managed to convince them to let her stay at True Cross to graduate. Regardless, since she’s the last of her bloodline and her family is so demanding, they are already searching for suitors for her. They want her to marry and start a family soon after graduation. I’ve heard she has developed a bit of a crush on you.” Once more, there was no response from Amaimon. “Stay away from _____; I had thought you were merely trying to provoke Rin. I wasn’t aware you had become intimate with her.”
Amaimon opens his mouth, looking for a moment like he might argue with Mephisto, but then he nods. “Okay.”
Mephisto raises a brow, surprised Amaimon agreed so quickly. I suppose he’s not as interested in her as he made it seem to Rin; good, it’s less of a headache for me. “You may leave.”
As Amaimon leaves Mephisto’s office, thoughts of you and another man begin to fester in his mind, fueling his anger with each step. No other man should be able to kiss you, hold you, or be intimate with you. No other man should ever hear the sounds you make; or have the privilege of tasting you, and no other man should know what it feels like to have your mouth around their cock. You belong to Amaimon. You’re his pet.
His anger quickly escalates into rage as he heads to your apartment without hesitation.
You jump when there is a loud knock on your door; confused, you pull away from Shiemi. “Coming.” You’re surprised to see Amaimon standing in the doorway when you open it, but what’s more surprising is the emotions on his face; the normally unbothered demon king is now furious. Almost on the same level as you saw the night he attacked Rin on the camping trip. “Uh, come in?” Despite your common sense telling you otherwise, you step away and welcome the demon into your home. He steps into the house and quickly heads to your bedroom. Where he’s aware you keep documents. “Shiemi, you should leave.”
“But-“
“It’s okay. Look, if I don’t text you within an hour, feel free to call someone to check on me, alright? I promise I’ll be fine.” It’s not a promise you should be making, but you’re eager to find out what’s bothering Amaimon. You can hear him going through various drawers in your bedroom. “Actually, I’ll call you since someone tends to text from my phone. So, if I call you, you can be sure it’s really me, right?” Gradually, she nods, allowing you to guide the blonde out of your apartment.
As you enter your bedroom, you find Amaimon sitting on the edge of the bed, casually flipping through a stack of documents. It’s evident he has uncovered what he was looking for. A frown crosses your face as you move closer, slowly realizing what he has discovered. “Did Mephisto tell you? I haven’t even shared it with Shiemi or Rin, and they’re two of my closest friends.” You let out a sigh; it’s a topic you prefer to ignore, preferring to live in a world where this isn’t your reality. It’s easy to pretend until another file arrives in your mail every few weeks.
“My parents didn’t have a choice; they were matched up and told that if they didn’t like it, too bad – they needed to have a child. Fortunately, they fell in love, which is quite rare in my family. However, having witnessed what their own parents and other family members endured emotionally, they didn’t want to put me through that. They’re offering me a choice among the potential suitors they’re finding. I can even go on dates with them before making my final decision. There are a couple that my grandparents have selected.” You pick up a file from the bed and show him a photo of a gross-looking man twenty years older than you. “Luckily, my parents are trying to find me someone I’ll at least be attracted to; as you can see, my grandparents couldn’t care less if I’m attracted to them or not.” You toss the file in the trash can beside your bed. “Why did Mephisto tell you?”
“Rin Okumura showed Big Brother the photo I sent him. He told me I need to stop bothering you, and why.”
“Oh.”
Amaimon carelessly tosses the files from his hands onto the floor. “I don’t like to share,” he declares, stepping on a few of the fallen papers as he exits, slamming the front door behind him.
You sigh, bending down to pick up the strewn documents. “I guess that’s the end of that. I was hoping to live in my fantasy a bit longer.” You had been trying to ignore all the files, but now you realize it’s time you have to accept it. Carefully, you start to scan through the documents and photos. Most of them end up in the trash, as you discard them without bothering to read beyond their names and ages. You had initially set aside a couple of options to discuss with your parents, but now they’ve become mixed up with all the others. Upon revisiting them, you find yourself less interested. How can you be interested after experiencing perfection?   “No. Stop _____. It’s time to grow up. They want me to be at least engaged within a year of graduating.”
Unlocking your phone, you take a photo of the files you had originally been slightly interested in discussing with your parents.
Hey, Mom, I’ve been thinking about picking a husband. What do you think of these three?
After sending the text, you give Shiemi a quick call to reassure her that you’re okay and not to worry. You rush to end the call and toss the phone across the room. Your eyes flicker to the files you’ve selected once again. “I hate this.” you groan, hurling them across the room as well.
------------------------------------------------------------
Your mother doesn’t reply until the next day, and it’s a call instead of a text. When you receive the call, you’re sitting with your friends for lunch.
“Hey, sweetheart, how are you?”
You lean against Shiemi as you answer. You really don’t want to talk about your potential future husband now, and you haven’t even told your friends yet. “Fine, I’m just having lunch. What’s up?”
“Oh, I’m calling regarding the message you sent. I’m pleased to hear that you’re finally considering it, but I have some unfortunate news.” Her voice carries a hint of detachment. “It’s about Hano-san.” She pauses, letting out a sigh. “Sadly, he passed away last night.”
You straighten, having trouble processing her words. “Huh?”
“Yes, it was a demon attack, but there aren’t any details. Nobody knows what demon it was; the only signs it was a demon were that he was found with his weapons drawn.”
Oh fuck.

What a non answer 🙄. Anon isn't wrong in what they said but since you have no idea how to respond to them, you choose the sarcastic response. You all are insecure of other ships, esp jikook and taennie but you try to show nonchalance. Idk why you all needed to respond with proofs for this. Jikkrs weren't being creepy or gross about the trip, and even if they were, trying your best to prove that they weren't together isn't going to deter such people is it? Atleast admit that you aren't happy with jikook interactions instead of showing that fake ahh kumbaya thing. All you are doing rn is hiding your insecurity by placing the blame on others. It's not jikookers' fault that they are getting more interactions than taekook
Sigh...
All of you wanting to think we're so insecure🙄. What about my blog makes you think I am insecure? Either you think I'm lying or playing an act or something (in which case I don't understand why you bother to come here) or my security bothers you. I never lie on here. I tell people when I'm unsure, or when I'm confused, or when I disagree, or when I'm overwhelmed... people have seen me upset, people have seen me be sarcastic, people have seen me in all sort's of states.... and in general there is very little I don't have a reply to.
You're mistaking my sarcasm for insecurity and pretty much showing your own lack of depth here. Anon was most definitely wrong, because when you actually look at the posts I made about Jk and Jm traveling there is no trying hard to debunk them being together at all. Just a trying to figure out what's going on.
There are many reasons for me to be sarcastic. I doubt you understand what it's like to get the kind of asks I get (unless you're also the owner of a well visited fandom blog.. hehe) because if you did you'd understand the tiredness that can come with some asks. I am generally patient, but I'm also very human and will have human reactions.
People like you (no clue what side you come from) feel some comfort in thinking we are secretly insecure. And sure, some Tkkrs are insecure about Jkk. I think that's mostly newer fans who haven't gone through a lot of content yet and who feel influenced by Jkkrs loud presence. Most Tkkrs aren't insecure though, we just know what to expect from that side of fandom whenever Jk and Jm are shown together. That's what we're annoyed about.. it truly has very little to do with insecurity.

ILL GET INTO POSTING ART SOON ENOUGH I SWEAR BUT PLEASE PLEASE HEAR ME OUT ON THIS
It’s like genuinely so crazy that no one has ever talked about (in depth), how much the song “Careless Whisper” fits Alenoah so much. HELLO PEOPLE!!!CARELESS WHISPER? ISNT THAT JUST WHAT THE EEL COMMENT NOAH MADE IS???
It could be considered careless because while Noah had no way of knowing that Alejandro was watching everything that was happening he still stated how he felt while being recorded on camera. It’s a whisper because Noah said it “behind Alejandro’s back”.
Gonna go line by line here obviously not talking about the chorus more than once lol.
You should totally listen to it while you read along :p
Verse one oooooo:
Tumblr media
“I feel so unsure” - Noah’s uneasiness after Alejandro’s reaction to the comment he made about him. He knows he’s definitely gonna get eliminated.
“As I take your hand…” - Now I don’t think they’re actually holding hands here but instead Noah is walking in front of Alejandro as they walk to the elimination ceremony. He’s leading Alejandro to their last dance.
“As the music dies…” - The music dying here to me represents the sense of dread that is coming over Noah. It’s his time to go. He looks back at Alejandro. There is room for interpretation of what emotion could be seen in his eyes. Is it… Anger? Sadness? Disappointment? Or all three?
“Calls to mind…” - I see this as being two things here. It could either be Noah thinking about movies in general and how break ups are portrayed in them or it could be Noah thinking about how other total drama relationships didn’t work out that well either.
Alrighttt chorus time:
Tumblr media
“I’m never gonna dance again” - I see dancing as a metaphor here. He won’t be “dancing again” aka he won’t have that fun banter with Alejandro anymore.
“Guilty feet have got no rhythm” - Even if Noah was kept in the competition he would still have a huge target on his back with Alejandro pointing a gun at it. Therefore, it’s for the best that he was eliminated then and there as it would make the competition much more harder for him. Thus, messing up his “rhythm”.
(Combining the next two lines here)
“Though it’s easy…” + “I know you’re not a fool” - As seen in the show Noah tries to make an attempt to take his words back referring to them as a complement but he and Alejandro know that it’s a blatant and poor lie.
“I should’ve known better…” - Noah is a smart person he should’ve known something would’ve been up. There’s no way they wouldn’t keep the kidnapped contestants somewhere. He might not have been apart of the challenge but he should’ve remembered what happened in season one with the serial killer challenge. The “killed” contestants were watching what happened to the others then too. He especially should’ve known not to state his opinions in front of a camera out in the open and now he’s paying for it.
“And waste the chance...” - Once again I see this going two ways. The first is of course Noah losing the chance to win the million dollars. The second is losing the chance to genuinely become friends with Alejandro. Maybe get eliminated in a different way and at least leave on goodish terms with Alejandro thus allowing him to have another friend from the show.
(Combining these last two lines again)
“So I’m never…” + “The way I danced with you” - Restating that I see “dancing” as Noah having fun and banter with Alejandro but the last lyric gets specific here as it says “with you”. Now it’s getting a little personal. Noah feels as though he won’t feel the same way he did again when he was with Alejandro. It’s over now and he’ll never get it back.
(And before anyone says anything, Yes, I know he gets with Emma, but I feel like what he had with Alejandro is different than what he has now with Emma. Plus the way I interpret the timeline with this is that it takes place during World Tour and a little after. So Emma wouldn’t be in the picture yet.)
Verse two woahhhh:
Tumblr media
(Sorry you’re gonna have to get used to me combining lines so they make more sense)
“Time can never mend” + “The careless whispers…” - I personally think that Alejandro is the type to hold a grudge. Years could go by and he’ll still think about what Noah said. However, I think it sticks with him more because it was Noah who said these words. It didn’t bother him when Heather pointed out his tactics, in fact he thought it was funny but it hurts coming from Noah. Someone he viewed as a friend.
“To the heart and mind…” - It would’ve been better for both Noah and Alejandro if Noah kept his thoughts to himself. Allowing Alejandro to live in ignorance and not have that grudge against Noah allowing both Alejandro and Noah to live a little more peacefully.
“There’s no comfort…” - Unfortunately, Noah’s words contain a lot of truth in them, but Alejandro is still allowed to be hurt over them. Especially because the came from someone who he thought was somewhat of a friend.
Verse three holy moly:
Tumblr media
“Tonight, the music seems so loud” - This is the last night in the competition and the last time he’ll ever see Alejandro. Which in turn, makes all of Noah’s negative thoughts and emotions take over his mind and it’s all too loud. Or that Noah hears the background music used to signify how tense an elimination ceremony is too loudly in his head.
“I wish that we could lose this crowd” - Right person wrong time. Maybe if they had met in others circumstances they’d be good friends. But they’re on Total Drama, an international reality TV show. Mainly everyone here is playing to win.
(You already know whats coming next)
“Maybe it’s better…” + “We’d hurt each other…” - But maybe it’s a good thing that this whole situation happened. Maybe they’d grow to hate each other even more than now if Noah didn’t say anything and they had the chance to grow closer. Noah’s cynical and Alejandro has a myriad of questionable qualities, there’s no way it would’ve worked out right?
“We could’ve been so good…” + “ We could’ve lived…” - No, they definitely could’ve been friends if Noah wasn’t careless with his words. They could’ve been unstoppable in an alliance. They could’ve been lifelong good friends if Noah didn’t let his big mouth strike again (heh real ones get the reference.)
“But now who’s gonna dance with me?” - Who’s Noah gonna have that fun banter and friendship now? It’s over.
“Please stay” - Gay desperation.
And Finally the outro:
Tumblr media
(Combining these last three lines)
“Now that you’re gone” + “Was what I did so wrong…” + “That you had to leave me alone?” - I see these lines as taking place shortly after World Tour ends. Alejandro is gone. Noah’s not going to be in the same room as him ever again. He’s now angrily/sadly questioning if what he said was so wrong to say. He said nothing that wasn’t true and Alejandro knows that too. So why was he so upset by it? Isn’t he supposed to be tougher and be used to people saying things like that about him? It doesn’t make sense. And while he definitely isn’t alone per se, he has his other friends he made on the show. However, what he had with Alejandro was different. Alejandro was someone who he felt understood him a little more than the others but now he’s gone and Noah’s feels a little alone since that connection is gone.
AUGHHHH FINALLY DONE!!!
I might be emo but I love songs from the 80s too okay?
If you read this far I genuinely appreciate you for reading my silly interpretation of this song :P
Lemme know if you feel the same way as me or if you interpret anything differently from me cause I’d love to hear it!!
I definitely have a lot more songs that I feel fit Alenoah in some shape or form so if you want more interpretations from me I’d gladly do more!!! OR if you have any songs you think fit them, I’ll glady give them a listen :3
THANKING YOU AGAIN IF YOU READ ALL OF THIS I KNOW ITS ALOT BUT IM REALLY FOCUSED ON THESE FUCKED UP CATS. HAPPY PRIDE MONTH TOO LOL I FORGOT IT WAS..!

Longing curses 1/5
-His new target -
Tumblr media
General Summary: When Tom finds the diary of Salazar Slytherin he finds out that he and Helga Hufflepuff shared a special relationsship. Under this influence Tom becomes keen to find a suitable partner for himself who lets him expercience such feelings like his ancestor did. But it takes more than some charming words to win a Hufflepuff, Tom figures some tricks will do. Chapter Summary: With an little trick Tom gets you to talk to him. You both share a day at a pub and get to know each other before the reality catches up on you again. Word count: 2414 Warning/tags: fluff; obsessiv behaviour, manipulation Authors note: This is a fantasy, I don't support manipulation, exclusion etc. at all + I suck at proof reading
Toms fingers traced around the pages of his book that made his thoughts bend to you for a while now. Who would have thought that Salazar Slytherin had shared a special relationship with Helga Hufflepuff. His dairies only hinted about it but the feelings he had and the strenght he expierenced from it stood cleary in the lines. There was no heir of Helga Hufflepuff, this family tree had found an end but nevertheless Tom longed for someone he could relife his ancestors feeling with. You and Tom were barely familiar with one another, at least officially. His charms always worked on the people, thanks to them he always got what he wanted. He just needed a good starting point. You were often busy or surrended by all your friends, Tom waited for a good moment that never came. It seemed that fate had no wish to bring you both together, once Tom realized that he saw himself forced to take more action.
✧ ⊹ I ✧ ⊹
,,Tom may I have a word with you?'' you asked when you stood infront of him in the dinning hall. His eyes went up from the book he read while having breakfast, his gaze filled with the usual seriousness he had on. ,,Professor Beery allows us to attend this expert talk in Lodon he briefly mentioned last week. I talked to him and he said he would prefer it if I would go with a companion since no one else was interested to go'' you said while observing his facial features, a shadow of a smile crossed his lips. ,,What do you want me to do about that Y/N?'' asked Tom making you use your words more precisely, savouring your nervous being.
,,I figured it would convince Professor Beery if I would go with a person the teachers trusted. So I thought maybe you would like to go to the expert talk with me. Arent you also interested in herbology?'' you asked hopefully. ,,Herbology isn't one of my N.E.W.Ts subjects'' said Tom but it seemed that he hasn't declined your request. ,,But I bet potions is. It could be of advantage, I even sponsor a butterbeer after it, my treat'' you said with your best puppy gaze. ,,How did you figure that out?'' Tom wanted to know bending back on his bench. ,,Its a tough subject and you seem quite persistent'' you said with an unsure smile and you could swear Tom would have returned it if not so many people would look at you. Especially the gazes from his
friends that sat beside him made you a bit uncomfortable. It wasn't regular that his group got approached by different people beside their close friends. ,,As I am by the way'' you said when your gaze went back to Tom. ,,Next time I'm asking I might not offer that butterbeer again'' you added charmingly. ,,Alright. I will pick you up on Saturday'' Tom gave eventually in and held for a moment longer than necesarry the eye contact with you like he searched for any last reactions. ,,Thanks Tom'' you said. The people who had observed your scene got slowly back to their own business, just as Tom depsite his friends comments on you. They varied between mockery and suggestive jokes. With his eyes back on his book he acted to not care about it, but he listened carefully and could hear how some of your friends giggled excitedly and congratulated you on your win. Tom knew he had a reputation about being untouchable and he liked it. It gained to his pride how your friends and the rest of the students reacted to your actions. He liked how you asked him and how you gently tried to convince you. Having the upper hand was a thing Tom would never get trired of. But the thing he liked the most was the fact that you choose him. He was the one that overheared your interest to attend this expert talk, he informed your hebology Professor about it on a exidental meeting in the halls and encouraged him to let his classes know about it for a possible educational excursion. He knew he wouldn't have many people on his remaining way to you, some people became too sick or busy to attend the expert class so you would need some other company for it.
✧ ⊹ II ✧ ⊹
You did'nt follow Toms path, you stood still until you found the courage to use your voice. ,,Tom? I have to admit something'' you said while your hands shyly rubbed your fingers along. ,,I'm not planning on attending the expert talk, in fact I had something different in mind''. Tom rised an eyebrow. ,,There is this little concert in a pub, I really want to see. You can join me of course or go to the expert talk. I just think Professor Blums thesis on the effect of alrauns are a bit überholt, I intend to wiederlegen him in my N.E.W.T.s'' you said and waited nervously for Toms reaction. ,,You know I could tell our teachers right?'' he asked. ,,Of course you could and would as well. But I still decided to ask you since you're one of the less people who could also use a little break fom studying without endagering their grades. Please Tom'' you said. ,,You seem to know what people want to hear'' Tom said. You didn't say something you waited for his next step. Tom enjoyed this moment of the upper hand, you could tell.
,,Before you make your decision. I also have a little secret about you, if you don't tell we are even'' you said. Tom gave you an amused look, you both knew you weren'ts used to blackmail someone. ,,And what secret might that be?'' he asked. ,,You let your friends walk outside of the castle at curfew''. Toms shoulders stoped their tension, he was reliefed about your words. He figured that at some point one of the others Prefects might see him do that, he was already prepared for that. ,,That's a rather poor try. But I appreciate the honesty. Lets see if you know how to charm me once more. Tell me the right words to this then. Would you let this afternoon be a date?'' he asked.
,,Oh I don't know Tom. That is really sweet but…'' ,,But what?'' ,,You Slytherins can be so unromantic sometimes. You basicly blackmail me for this date'' you said. ,,So you consider your secret as less valid'' he said with a smirk. ,,No… and yes'' you said eventually. ,,So you're planing on refuting Professor Blums dissertations? Thats interesting.'' Tom started when you two started to walk through the busy streets of london.
✧ ⊹ III ✧ ⊹
,,So you tried to trick me. Should I be impressed or insulted? Thats not a typical action for a hufflepuff'' Tom said and held the door of the pub open for you. You apologised, explaining that you weren't sure how to tell him your true inentions. Lying was something you only did when you become nervous. Tom wasn't insulted by it, in fact he found it amusing and made you promise to only tell him the truth from now on. ,,Pity about my secret about you. Thought I had something that would give me a better picture on who you are. Slytherins are always a bit harder to read'' you said. ,,You seem quite keen to understand people'' Tom said when he payed for the butterbeer despite your offer to keep your earlier promise. ,,So do you. I'm just curious abou what you do with this information'' you added while warming your fingertips on the hot glas. ,,Currently I'm puzzeling a new picture of you with it. Care to help me with that?'' he said in a teasing manner but didn't reveal more about himself. ,,If that is really supossed to be a date you have to tell me more about yourself Tom.Thats not an interview for me to become your girlfriend'' you said with a smile, when he wouldn't stop askin things about you. ,,That is the condition for love. It always needs some commitment from both sides. I will answer you next question if you answer some of mine first'' you said with a reassuring smile.
Tom learned that this was a usual thing for love- this dance about giving and earning. At first he answered the eays questions such as his favourite subjects, after a while he realized that he became a bit tense, when you asked for his family or his fears. The answers became shortes and his tone grew bitter, so you stoped your curiosity from taking over. What had felt like an unusuall good start turned now into a tense situation in which you were too insecure to say something. You had felt so seen and understood but now you feared that some things might be too good to be true. ,,Why would you want to know what I'm afraid of?'' asked Tom eventually. The skin around his eyes were stern and they wouldn't break eyecontact – he looked at you, like you were a stranger for him again. ,,Surely not to hurt you. I thought we wanted to get to know each other. Fears are a special kind of secrets two can share I figured'' you said shyly, picturing yourself how you might how to walk alone back to the school. Tom broke his stare from you and looked down at the table.
,,Let me give you true secret about me then.I don't care about the expert talk either. The fact that I would spend the afternoon with you was the far better persuasion you offered me'' he said, his eyes wouldn't look up to you. If Tom hadn't intimidated you ever so slightly with his defensive behaviour his words would have touched you heart in a warmer way. But now there was this gap between you and his words couldn't reach your heart, at the very least they could scratch at it. But you could feel how it longed for more, so you accepted his kind words, hoping over time it would fullfill your heart. You gave him a bittersweet smile then the show started. You both enjoyed the music an you told Tom to wait for a certain part. In a low voice you explained how hard it was for the singer to reach a certani note and keep it for so long. Shyly you revealed that you oberserved the singers always at that specific moment to see when the wave of victory washed over them when they managed to sing this tricky song. Tom understood that you liked hard work and the fruits of victory, just as much as he did. You liked this rewarding feeling once you accomplished your goal. He had felt this gap between you two as well but now he felt so drawn to you. On the blossoming trees and landscape laid a dark blue shadow when you walked back to the school due to the uprising night. When the last houses had passed you, Toms fingers had softly traced around yours. Slowly you accepted his offering and walked together. Tom couldn't hold back and praise your spirit, remarking how much to lived up to the values of your house.
,,I'm not Helga Hufflepuffs heir but being like her must be a good thing. She was got with healing and breaking charms, that is what I want to do. I will work my way up to this'' you said. The more you talked the more Tom saw how well you fitted into his demands for a partner. ,,So you like breaking things. That is something I didnt expect'' he said with a teasing smile. ,,Or healing, I guess that depends on the point of view. My oncle died some years ago because no one knew a cure for his curse. I will be better some day, maybe not to defeat death but to keep him away for a bit longer'' you said like an affirmation and both of you share a glare. Those words made Toms heart race, yes he was about to keep you. Even though you couldn't read Toms mind, the way Tom softly pressed your hand showed you, that you two could get along. With quick reflexes you steped to the side when a drunk person walked past you without watching his step. Due to the icy streets you almost sliped but Toms hands kept you save. You execused yourself shyly. Tom turned his gaze angrily to the person but stoped himself when you noticed how tensed you became again. You were so close, he couldn't lose this.
,,You know, the first step to keep death away from yourself would be to defend yourself properly'' Tom said and offered you to join a secret duelling club he and some other students had founded some time ago, still holding your hand to his chest. Happily you accpeted.
✧ ⊹ IV✧ ⊹
Tom could see over the next weeks how you started to become more confident and it made him proud to know that he was the one who enabled it. To have someone strong at his side, someone with the same amount of ambition and kind of dreams was important to him and he wanted all of your goals to be fullfilled.
,,You seem to study your opponents quite good'' said Tom. After you had finished a little duel with someone else he approached you, he could feel how his heart beated stronger against his chest whenever you were near him. Almost as if he was angry, but with a sweet lightness in it, that only you could offer. ,,That is how you learn their weakness, seems like a strategy you do as well'' you say with a smile. ,,Everyone who aims to be a good duelist does this'', said Tom. ,,What do you say- should we try it? Maybe I will learn some new things about you'' you said hinting at slighlty at the fear- topic. ,,You can just ask me, there is no need to fight me. I can be quite generous to the right persons'' Tom said his warm smile turned into a teasing one while he caged you further into a corner of the room, almost hiding you from the remaining people of the club. You could get lost in those eyes and in the way he talked with you. It was like he wanted to best for you yet still he would deny you what you asked for. It was as if he forced you to become stronger and you started to fall in love with this game. But then a loud argument put you back to reality. Abraxas Malfoy and another Slytherin discussed on a new member of the club. You walked past Tom and listened to the group before asking why they hesitated to invite him. Malfoy pointed out that the club had no intentions to welcome mudbloods, some agreed with him and some didn't.
You joined the small group that didn't care about some madeup ideals. The discussion reached its peak when you and Malfoy threw so heated arguments at one another. At one point when you couldn't stand this amount of hatefullness you looked at Tom but he didn't care to help so you just walked away. On through the halls you realised that Tom had followed you outside. ,,I was so stupid. I should have know that you're just as ignorant as your friends. We can't be friends Tom, partner none the less '' you said. Both of you started to discuss what just had happened. Toms jaw clenched whenever you seemed to say something that truly bothered him. ,,Enough. You follow this stupid ideal to treat everyone equally but you can't do this and you shouldn't.'' Tom said eventually making you stop talking, you tried once again to explain that it was indeed possible but without success. You were near the tears and needed a break, so did Tom. You could see how frustrated he was. You could truly see him, he wasn't as perfect as you had thought. So you left him.
Tom was alone. You just had decided to be ignorant, to not question your believes. And still Tom made his decision, it was too late to look for someone new for him. It was you he wanted. Only you could make him feel so many things at once. Everyone else who would dare to speak to him in such a way, would be on his list of people he would get ride of once the school was over. But someting inside him stoped himself from feeling in such a way about you. He had different plans for you. He wanted to look deep enough in your soul where he would find your shared values that made your first bondings and would twist them until they were bended to his liking- only to show you then that you and him were more alike than you had thought. He just needed to be careful, because he knew you were capable of the same.

Hello all! Thank you for joining me for my first ever RobStar week! And thank you even more so for giving my fic a chance!!!
I plan to participate every day this week, but if I am unable to for some reason I'll be sure to let you know!
Sorry for the rambling! I'll let you go ahead and jump right in!
[Heads up! A little of the dialogue in this story is courtesy of a prompt by @welcometothewoes!]
RobStar Week 2024, Day 1
Friends to Lovers
“Well, what do you guys think?”
The others looked ahead to the sign where Robin was pointing, displaying a variety of mixed reactions.
Cyborg and Beast Boy had lit up at the reveal, no doubt eager to partake in a series of competitions that would supposedly prove who was superior between the two. Raven rolled her eyes, no doubt dreading the thought of being dragged into Cyborg and Beast Boy’s antics
Starfire’s reaction, strangely enough, was the most passive of the group. She looked up, reading the words displayed on the giant glowing sign.
“Jump City Beach Boardwalk?” Star tilted her head, confused more than anything else. “Please, what is the purpose of these “walking boards”? I was under the impression wood was not sentient.”
“Boardwalk, Star.” Robin gently corrected. “It’s an amusement park near a beach where people can go to have fun.”
“A park for amusement, you say.” Starfire noted. “Fascinating. Please, what is it you do in these kinds of parks?”
“Lots of things Star!” Beast Boy chimed in. “There’s a bunch of themed junk food you can eat, games you can win cool prizes in, and a bunch of rides you can go on ‘til you get sick!”
“How ‘bout a little game of friendly competition, Grass Stain?” Cyborg chimed in, a mischievous glint in his human eye. “Whoever wins the most prizes gets to plan next week’s dinner menu?”
“You're on, Gears for Brains!” Beast Boy exclaimed.
Cyborg ran through the gates first, eager for his 7-day barbecue dream to come true. Beast Boy followed suit, but not before grabbing Raven’s hand.
“C’mon, Rae! You can keep score!”
“Joy.”
Raven’s sarcasm, whether unnoticed or ignored, did little to deter the green teen. Together, they passed through the boardwalk’s gates.
And with that, only two remained.
Robin gestured to the boardwalk’s entrance.
“Shall we?”
Though Starfire was still unsure of the appeal of such a place, she decided to trust Robin’s judgment.
Standing side by side, the duo made their way through the gates.
~~~
“Remember guys, only 5 prizes per person. We don’t want a repeat of last year…”
Though Robin phrased it as a general statement, they all knew who it was meant for. Cyborg and Beast Boy laughed nervously, no doubt trying to hide their guilty expressions. Raven rolled her eyes and Starfire let out a small giggle.
“Only 5, got it!” Cyborg reaffirmed.
Now that he no longer felt guilty about last year’s prize incident, the cybernetic teen led his shapeshifting and dark-clad friends away. He shot a teasing look at their leader.
“Let’s go leave Robby for his date~” He said this in a sing-songy tone.
Robin glared, but he knew there was no ill intent. Cyborg laughed, all while Beast Boy grabbed Raven’s hand to excitedly show her how his favorite games and rides changed from last year.
Soon, all three were out of sight.
Robin let out a sigh of relief, happy to finally have some much needed alone time with his brand new girlfriend.
Turning to check on her, Robin could tell by Starfire’s beaming grin that she was in good spirits. In fact, she’d been wearing this expression since they first left the tower.
“Someone’s happy.” He playfully teased.
"Oh! Sorry, it's just..." Starfire perked up, the shining, uncontrollable smile still not leaving her features. "It's been awhile since I've been this... giddy."
Robin returned the smile twice fold, though his eyebrows shot up in the air.
"Really? We come to the boardwalk every year."
"Yes, but..." Star shyly held Robin's hand, intertwining their fingers. "Never like this."
Ah, so that’s what it was.
Robin could feel his cheeks warming up. Hoping it wasn’t too noticeable, he gave their intertwined hands a gentle squeeze for reassurance.
In a more than chivalrous mood, Robin gestured to the entrance with a little extra flair.
“After you, m’lady.”
Starfire giggled, returning the chivalry in kind.
“Thank you, kind sir.”
Together, one’s hand fitting so naturally with the other’s, the couple made their way through the amusement park’s entrance.
~~~
“Ready, you two?” Richard asked, a dramatic flair to his voice.
“Yeah!” A little boy exclaimed loudly, hands thrown into the air with glee.
“You sure?” Kori questioned, savoring the moment.
“Super duper sure!” A little girl replied, unable to contain her excitement.
Richard and Kori gave each other a knowing glance. At the same time, they removed the hands covering the eyes of the children they held.
“Surprise!” They both yelled out. “Happy Birthday!”
Jake and Mari, now an entire 7 years old, watched with wide eyes and slacked jaws at the birthday gift their parents presented them with.
“Wow / Awesome!” Jake and Mari remarked at the same time.
Squirming out of their parent’s hold, the twins ran up to the gates of the place their parents had brought them to. Right there, in giant, bold letters, displayed the words:
JUMP CITY BEACH BOARDWALK
Eager to begin exploring the beach and amusement park, the children ran back to their parents. Jake took hold of their father’s hand whilst Mari took hold of their mother’s. Together, all four walked hand-in-hand inside through the boardwalk’s gates.

Hi! Your immersive mods have absolutely transformed stardew for me, its always been my fave game but ur writing and also events and interactions are so fucking good and what i always crave in these kind of life sims!! Im studying game dev rn and i wanted to pick ur brain a bit if thats okay. U mentioned that my time at sandrock and also other romance mods like rrrr were inspos which i all adore! in a game like stardew or mtas what do u think the best way to enhance romance would be, like u have done such an incredible job at really making the romance feel not only more natural but also so so much more cuter and also perfectly spicy!! Also when u plan these mods as a whole, how do u plan out the dialogue or events? Kinda like whats ur process? Once again just wanna say i love ur work and i would love to one day create a game that has romance that made me feel the way i do when playing through ur mods!!
Thank you!! For my immersive mods, I have kind of a template. There's the standard events for the even heart numbers, and I usually just edit the lines a bit on those to match my writing style and do the same for existing dialogue. After that, I add all my content around the existing structure. I have a general idea of the story I want to tell for the character, for Sebastian, Sam, and Alex it was around finding their path in life and goals for the future, to become the people they wanted to be. For the mods I'm working on now, the stories are more in-depth and complex since the characters are older (Lance, June, and a couple of OCs).
I like to map out where the character is starting from and where I want them to end up, then add milestones to hit along the way for the heart levels. For example, Sebastian starts unsure what he's doing with his life, and just basically drifting along, letting what happens happen. I had him hit milestones, like reconnecting with his sister, coming to terms with his past, deciding on future goals, reconciling with Demetrius, and basically maturing into an adult. So his dialogue and events are mapped to hit those milestones. Adding related character reactions to major events brings other people into the story and adds the community feeling since people in a small town don't live in isolation. The romance is set up the same way with hitting milestones for heart levels, and I have tokens set up to change the dialogue for whether the character is single or dating the farmer at 8 hearts so the romance makes sense. In the mods I'm working on now, I'm using a friend or romance route token, so the player can choose if they plan to romance the character. If they are, the romance dialogue builds from 6 hearts to have a more gradual and smooth progression.
Stardew is actually a very simple game with it comes to character interactions, so adding the reaction dialogue and connecting stories really brings them together and creates that community feeling. I also have year-to-year dialogue for the festivals that remembers what happened in previous years and builds the story. It takes some effort to code the dialogue to trigger in order, but it's definitely worthwhile. If you're creating a game, having triggers for progressive dialogue really helps then you don't have to do workaround shenanigans like I've done on my mods ;D

Hey, i saw your "Scarlet Witch!Reader" and it gives me an idea.
Imagine she heard the discussions from the Autobots (She's on Team Prime after all) about her chaos magic powers could lead to destructions and that she will turn mad with power (which is completely the opposite, she's stable enough as she can be and kind and generous) and they should "keep an eye of her" in case she'll go crazy and what how do we stop her (aka in need to keep on lock her up) which affects her more and made her feel more outcast from them as much she's outcast from society which depressed her more. One day, in a terrible battle between them and the Decepticons, she "sacrifice" to save them (either she did sacrifice herself but miraculously survived but find herself alone after battle because everyone believe she died with it or secretly gets away from them in complete isolation from everyone, both humans and Autobots, living in a cottage in a forest or something, helping saving her world in her own way)
How Team Prime will react of her "death" and their guilts ? Because Some bot *cough*Ratchet*cough* was immediately rather skeptical and unsure about her (but grew soft sport for her soon) which discusses his concerns to the Bots before her "death" (Can't honestly blame him because of Megatron but NOT EVERYONE end like him Ratchet 😒)
(P.S, you can add IF Team Prime's reactions IF they EVER heard that she's alive and learning WHY she left somewhere FAR away from them. would they want to reach her again or....?)
So the HCs you mentioned don't really play into this, but if anyone is interested they can be found here. I did HCs since those are always easier and I wanted to write this. You can also interpret this as a prequel to this post. This is a bit of a ramble tbh and I didn’t do all the bots, just some
•You know your powers can scare people sometimes, they sometimes even scare you, but you thought the autobots were different
•They never truly hated you or anything, but they were skeptical of your powers and how much control you had over them
•When you accidentally hit Bulk with a rock that you were aiming at a vehicon, it all started to go downhill
•Sometimes you would do things with more strength than you needed to, and broke something, but a lot of the bots interpreted that as you doing it on purpose
•You thought they wouldn’t shun you or want to imprison you, but apparently you had been wrong
•They were just like everyone else, thinking your powers would drive you to madness or make you evil somehow
•You tried to ignore the whispers at the base, the conversations that stopped when you entered the room, the way Ratchet kept an eye on you every time you were around the kids and the way Arcee kept glaring at you
•These things didn’t help any, because they just made you angry and when you got irritated, you had less control
•It ended up being a vicious cycle, that you couldn’t seem to get out of
•It was getting to be too much, you wanted to get away from the autobots, away from anyone who would treat you with prejudice because of your powers
•You’re a kind and caring person, but somehow your strength seemed to be the deciding factor in how others treated you, instead of your personality
•You decided you wanted to leave, but you didn’t know how you’d be able to
•The autobots kept a pretty keen eye on you all the time, so you would have to do something drastic
•You didn’t know what that was going to be until you got the chance to do it
•You were fighting with the autobots against the decepticons, and you saw your chance
•You could fake your death and get away, you wouldn’t be chained down again, by anyone
•When you disappeared from the battlefield, the autobots assumed you had been taken or that they just couldn’t find your body
•Of course there was no body to find, but they didn’t know that
•When Optimus brought the news back to the base that you were gone, Ratchet sort of scoffed
•The type of “I told you so” scoff, that he used pretty often
•There was a lot of conversation at the base afterwards about if you were really dead and even if you weren’t maybe it was better you were gone
•Arcee was probably the most outspoken about her feelings about it being good that you weren’t at the base anymore
•She got a few surprised looks, but no one disagreed with her
•Bee and Smokescreen sort of fell victim to their seniors’ bias but neither of them hated you or anything
•Optimus was left with a lot of guilt after your “death”, even though he wanted to protect others from you, he wanted to protect you too
•He knew you weren’t a bad person, but he had seen what too much power can do to someone
•Maybe they were all too quick to judge, but they couldn’t do anything about it now, you were gone
•Arcee was always primarily worried about the trouble trio around you, because she had seen you literally rip vehicons apart when you needed to
•She was worried that if one of the kids angered you, you might hurt them
•Ratchet kept his “I told you so” attitude for a while after your “death”, but he eventually came to feel very guilty about how he had treated you during your last months with the team

(GFL Short Fic) AN-94 attempts romance
AN-94 has no idea how to approach romance, given her lack of social skills and knowledge about humans in general.
But she would do her best to let her feelings be known!
Tumblr media
AN-94 sat in her dorm dressed in her casual uniform, that being a black t-shirt and pants. Her gaze was focused on the wall, but she was fighting a mental battle.
She had learned that she quite enjoyed spending time with one of the human personnel, who seemed to feel the same. But it was...strange. It wasn't quite the same nature of how she felt for the rest of DEFY.
According to (Y/N), she seemed to smile around them and acted differently. What did humans call two people that were always together again?
(AN-94) "...A couple?"
That's right, they were called 'couples' according to the internet searches she had conducted in her head. But how did one become a couple? As far as she could tell, they were just friends. If that internet definition was even right, anyway.
(AK-12's Voice) "Thinking about (Y/N) again?"
(AN-94) "Ah, yes. Do you know how couples are made, AK-12?"
AK-12's Advice
(AK-12) "Hm, I'm not entirely sure. But why bother asking me when you could do so yourself? Come on, go out there and be yourself! I'm sure it'll be fine!"
AN-94 nodded.
(AN-94) "Understood. Commencing mission."
She left the dorm with a determined walk, AK-15 and RPK-16 looking outwards after her.
(AK-15) "...You realize this will end poorly, correct?"
(AK-12) "Probably. But better to learn from failure, eh?"
(RPK-16) "Agreed."
...
(Y/N) "So, what brings you by today, 94? Need something?"
(AN-94) "I am just being myself."
(Y/N) "...I-Is that right?"
(AN-94) "Is that a problem?"
(Y/N) "Hah, no. I don't mind a bit. I'm just gonna be organizing some paperwork for the commander, I can't imagine it's exactly exciting."
(AN-94) "Then allow me to help."
(Y/N) "Sure, that'd be great! Thanks again!"
AN-94 helped (Y/N) with the paperwork. True to her mission, she remained herself, not mentioning a single thing about her feelings towards (Y/N) and remaining almost silent the entire time.
For (Y/N), it was quite a comfortable silence. For AN-94, she was even more confused. She had changed nothing, why was (Y/N) not mentioning they were in love yet?
RPK-16's Advice
(RPK-16) "So, they didn't have a reaction?"
(AN-94) "Negative. I am unsure what I did wrong."
(RPK-16) "Hm, well you do have the sort of air to just be seen through..."
AN-94 slightly frowned at the comment until RPK-16 excitedly put her hands together.
(RPK-16) "How about physical contact? Humans are quite like rabbits where they desperately crave it!"
(AN-94) "Physical contact?...I see, that may work."
...
(Y/N) was suddenly confused as to why AN-94 was suddenly in their quarters. Not to mention she was completely still, her face literally in their chest.
It also didn't help they were also on their bed. She remained unmoving like a statue, and she was acting as if there was nothing wrong.
(Y/N) "U-Um...!"
(AN-94) "Does this bother you?"
Her voice was muffled in their shirt.
(Y/N) "A-A little. It's almost midnight, why are you just-"
(AN-94) "Then this method is not working. Please, excuse me."
Quickly removing herself from their upper torso, she stood back up and left the room without saying anything else, leaving an extremely confused (Y/N).
Commander's Advice
(AN-94) "...And that explains my situation, sir."
(Commander) "...Now, I know I have an open door policy, but why did you come to me about this?"
(AN-94) "Are you unversed in romance, sir?"
The commander awkwardly coughed into his hand, adjusting his jacket's collar and trying to ignore the fact AN-94 had just called him out for being single.
(Commander) "I'm just saying there are probably others who's far better at reading these kinds of emotions. Plus, that probably confused the hell out of poor (Y/N)..."
(AN-94) "They did seem quite perplexed as to why I was so close to them."
(Commander) "...Oh, I know who could help!"
He said, snapping his finger. He quickly reached for a nearby intercom and called out the T-Doll's name.
Springfield's Advice
Springfield brought out a small tray containing four muffins she had baked, giving AN-94 a warm smile.
(Springfield) "You know what they say! The quickest way to a person's heart is their stomach!"
AN-94 contemplated that for a moment before Springfield cleared her throat.
(Springfield) "It's a metaphor dear. Before you tear out their internal organs, it means that they'll get your message of love a lot faster if you give them good food!"
AN-94 nodded and stared at the muffins.
(AN-94) "But...these are made by you. Would (Y/N) not love you instead of me?"
Springfield couldn't help but giggle at her innocence. AN-94 tilted her head.
(Springfield) "I'm sorry, that wasn't meant to offend, sweetie. Well, you do have a good point, it would mean a bit more if it came from you, but-"
(AN-94) "May I borrow your kitchen? I would like to make some muffins."
(Springfield) "Be my guest!"
...
(Y/N) "Mmm! These muffins are so good! Thank you so much for bringing them here! Springfield always knows how to bake them just right."
For some reason AN-94 was flustered, unable to look them in the eye. Maybe it was because of that whole planking incident a few days ago? (Y/N) was confused, they weren't angry at her to begin with.
(Y/N) "Would you like some? There's more than enough for the two of us!"
(AN-94) "...T-Thank you."
Seeing her smile got (Y/N) to smile now as well, something she immediately took notice of. AN-94 made sure not to tell them of the fires that broke out in the attempts of her trying to cook for them.
Instead she had to use Springfield's muffins in the end.
...
AK-15's Advice
AN-94 sat back in DEFY's dorm, looking dejected as she laid in her bed. Every attempt had failed spectacularly. If only romance was like the battlefield, then she could complete this mission with no problems. She could hear AK-15 sigh as she approached her bed, crossing her arms.
(AK-15) "So, have you tried telling (Y/N) you liked them directly?"
(AN-94) "...What?"
(AK-15) "There's no use of beating around the bush. Tell them how you feel so you can avoid any further misconceptions, and get results that way."
That...made sense, actually.
(AN-94) "Thank you, AK-15."
Springing up from her bed, she immediately dashed out and made way towards (Y/N)'s quarters once again.
(AK-15) "...Human etiquette is so inefficient..."
...
(Y/N) "You...like me?"
(AN-94) "I do, (Y/N). I...I only hope that I am irreplaceable in your heart."
(Y/N) began laughing, which made AN-94 confused again. Before she could voice it, they stepped closer to her, grabbing both her hands gently.
(Y/N) "Is this what those last few days have been about? Why didn't you just tell me?"
(AN-94) "I...I wanted to try things a human would."
Seeing her flustered reaction made (Y/N) embrace her tightly, laughing gently and making her comfortable.
(Y/N) "Fair enough. I...I like you too, AN-94. And you've always been irreplaceable to me."
AN-94 smiled back and sunk deeper into their embrace, the two of them remaining silent.
AK-12 was listening in around the corner, nodding to herself in satisfaction. Walking off, she came across RPK-16 and AK-15 who were also nearby.
(AK-15) "You could have just told her to do that from the beginning and saved her the headache."
(RPK-16) "Oh come now, it's about the experience as well as the end result. Not everything has to be so direct, you know!~"
AK-15 simply grunted. AK-12 couldn't agree more. She'd have to pay (Y/N) a visit later, and make sure they'd be the best partner AN-94 could have outside the battlefield.

Oshi no Ko 144 Reaction
After the big climax of last chapter, jumping straight into a more everyday, less tense situation is a bit jarring. I know this was done intentionally, I can see what they're trying to do here, but the part of my brain that craves the short term rush, the part of me that is desperate for answers and for the twins to actually start talking amongst themselves more and finally got a taste of it last chap is hungry....I know it needs to be pushed off for pacing reasons. I Know. But it does hurt a bit. Reading serially published works is hard.
Anyway. So the big theme of the movie arc is taking a look at how people are viewed in the eyes of others, right? That's why we have this whole setup of a movie within a manga - Ai's life, her real thoughts and personality, cannot be recovered. Even we, the semi-omniscient audience, aren't actually getting real flashbacks at her life, but rather her life filtered through the extremely biased eyes of Aqua (and Gotanda) with edits for marketability made by people who never knew her, like Abiko and Yoriko. This movie is likely going to become the definitive version of Ai for the general public, millions of people who never spoke to her at all - to those with no connection to someone beyond knowing their image, the constructed self is all that exists. The fact that this arc is the backdrop that we place Ruby's infatuation with Gorou is fairly intentional, I think, and if I wasn't 100% confident in that before than I absolutely am after last chap.
Which leads us into 144 - right after we had the dramatic chapter in which Ruby talks about how she views Gorou to Aqua himself, telling him that she sees him as a fan sees an idol, we cut directly to how Gorou is being portrayed in the movie. Melt and Ruby are both constructing images of of Gorou, but for very different purposes - while she cares for him and wants to idolize him, Melt is aware he never knew him, and is coming up with his interpretation solely for work purposes. This is the direct contrast being explored in this chapter - the different ways of seeing someone's image.
Tumblr media
Ruby gets upset when what she sees as Gorou's charm points are not being fully expressed, that the movie's view of him won't match hers. Gorou needs to be painted in the best possible light, so that everybody else will share her image of him.
This is very amusing to me, considering that Gorou himself, as Aqua, couldn't even match up to her image of Gorou before she was outright told that it was him, but let's put a pin on that for now.
Melt, on the other hand, has no personal or emotional attachment here. He isn't trying to glorify Gorou, nor slander him, nor even really get to know him. For him, The Doctor is a role, a story, a character.
Tumblr media
This is why he refers to the pin as a "character symbol," while he is doing his best to get a feel for Gorou thirdhand, his priority is not the man, but the role. He papers over gaps in his knowledge with story tropes, things that would work best for the narrative of the movie. From the perspective of an actor, this is probably the correct way to go about things. Abiko and Yoriko are probably satisfied with his interpretation of the role. But for Ruby, who has a personal investment, his image is not the same as her image.
Tumblr media
(as an unrelated side note, this bit was funny. I can't believe they're having an adaptation vs source material debate about RPF of Aqua of all people.)
Ruby comes around to Melt not because of any change in him or his acting, or because she approves of his interpretation of Gorou, but because he starts talking about her:
Tumblr media
Ruby accepts Melt's interpretation because so long as it maintains the connection between them, this is the most important element for her; she is satisfied. Her opinion of Melt then does a 180, just as her opinion of Aqua did in chapter 123.
This is where I will uncork the pin from before and say - one thing that I am kind of unsure about is what Ruby's image of Gorou actually is, at this point. Usually she seems to see him wholly positively, dissociating all of her criticisms about his behavior from the image she is idolizing. But last chap she started talking about his flaws, so she clearly knows at least some of them...but here she's right back to talking about his radiant inner strength. Leaves me a bit uncertain where she stands. However, I'm not the only one - I think she herself doesn't fully understand her own image of Gorou right now, to be honest.
Also, side note: the way Melt's "Gorou" act in this chap parallels Aqua's own in 143 was super cute.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But after thinking about that for a bit, I realized that it's deeper than a cute shot. while the movie arc has been giving more focus on Ruby's view of people than Aqua's, there's the interesting side note simmering in the background that Aqua, too, has a constructed image of Gorou at this point - even if he actually IS him, it's been over 20 years since he's been Sarina's doctor. Ruby, Melt, and Aqua all have very different ideas of who Gorou was - and none of them match the man himself.
I don't have very much to say about the last third of the chapter tbh. The supernatural elements of this story very much confuse me, I am not sure where they are going or what it's doing and don't feel confident speculating anything. Crow Girl is a cool character and I want to see more of her, but I suspect I'll appreciate her a lot more if I reread the series once it's done and we actually know what her deal is.
Overall, solid chapter, I think does a good bit to contrast and deepen our understanding of Ruby's views, and even if part of me really wants them to narrow in the focus on the twins a bit more after last time, I am content to let Aka keep cooking.

How would the Ro’s react if they accidentally hurt Mc physically or emotionally in like a heated argument, and how would they react after this all blows over? (wait till Mc approach them or goes to them)
Sinan: Sinan would feel bad instantly because he doesn't want any bad vibes, especially within the team or in general. If the situation is really bad, he might take some time to process it, but usually, he tries to resolve things immediately and apologizes right away. Sinan is very reflective and would take the full blame, even if it's not entirely his fault. He is deeply interested in keeping things harmonious and can't stand to see others in distress.
Nayla: Nayla would feel bad, and it would show on her face. She would apologize immediately after realizing her mistake. She’s very careful and adjusts her behavior based on the other person’s reactions. If someone needs space, she respects that. Nayla would feel bad for a long time and wouldn't easily forget the situation. She might even bring a gift as an apology and reflect on her actions, and try to improve for the future.
Aneka: Aneka would feel really bad and be willing to do anything to apologize. She would ask what the other person (MC) wants to do and put in her best effort to make things right. However, if she senses that nothing is improving despite her efforts, she would start to lose interest in maintaining the relationship. Aneka understands her mistake, but if both sides aren't working together to move forward, she sees no point in continuing.
Miguel: Miguel would avoid the situation, not because he wants to, but because he's awkward and unsure how to respond appropriately. He feels easily attacked, even when he knows the criticism is valid. He overthinks things and fears making more mistakes. Miguel would feel bad about the situation and be sad about potentially losing something important, but he struggles to deal with other people's emotions and communicate his own. Avoidance feels like the easiest solution to him.
Hongyu: Hongyu would accept his mistake and apologize, showing genuine interest in fixing the situation. Internally, he would push away any pain he feels and focus on moving forward. He’s practical and realistic—if he made a mistake, it's his fault, and he feels it's his responsibility to fix it.
Marcos/Maria: Marcos/Maria would likely walk away from the situation initially. It would take them some time to recognize or acknowledge that they did something wrong, especially if it’s not immediately obvious. Even when the mistake is clear, they need time to fully accept it. They might try to ignore it and continue acting as if nothing happened. If the other person (MC) confronts them later, they might finally realize their error and offer an apology.
Min: Min would feel bad and overthink the situation, which would bring their mood down significantly. They tend to hide their emotions, becoming even more sour. Min would genuinely want to apologize, but they’re unsure of how to do it, which causes hesitation. Sometimes, they might impulsively approach the situation, attempting to apologize on the spot, but other times they might wait, unsure of the right timing. If they delay, it could take a while, but eventually, they would still find a way to apologize, even if it takes some time.
(Sorry it took me so long to answer :))

So, with having completed the full story of Janthir Wilds, and getting a little nap in afterwards, I think I can pinpoint one of the reasons I just can't enjoy it as much as I did SotO. And it's mainly because of the Titans.
First things first, as cool as the designs for Ura, Decima and Greer are, I was kind of expecting something like a modern, HD rendition of this kind of design that genuinely freaks me out a fair deal:
Tumblr media
Ever since seeing this image, I got the 'oh I understand why the Mursaat would be terrified' feeling. Wheras I kind of ended up having a 'they're too cute!' reaction with the three in Janthir Wilds, especially with Greer. Not that the rotting husk-like design for Greer, for example, isn't great, I just found it... less terrifying, ahahahah. This could just be my personal tastes in what is/isn't 'soft' or 'cute' though, since they're still not 'appealing' to a general audience, I'd imagine.
A problem I feel that came with Absolution specifically is maybe something I'm missing from not getting to the Titans in GW1 myself; but I had always assumed a Titan was using a twisted and tormented soul, and thus the Titan would reflect that person.
I know the journal mentions there were demons attached to Judge, etc, in the Foundry, and perhaps THOSE were the real Greer, Ura, and Decima, and they just latch onto humans because those are the only ways of being 'shaped' into Titans?
But the way it feels for me, the connection between Judge and co and Ura and co feels too threadbare because they feel too extremely different, and I can't correlate the two groups in my mind, which makes going against the three in the end feel like a sort of anticlimax boss. I couldn't pin which one was supposed to be which Titan (but I think Judge was Ura? Bringing up OTHER questions entirely), and the Titan's dialogues in Godspawn made me unsure if they had truly 'died' died, or just sent back to the Foundry and for some reason were not reshaped into Titans.
Regardless, the souls we fight in the Foundry were not the souls of the Titans, which if we go off the logic that being so tormented and twisted could have been what 'changed' the original souls forever, would they not still BE Greer, Decima, and Ura?
It's too confusing for my tiny brain ahahhaa.
(And we missed some superb horror opportunity for what it could mean for someone to be shaped into a Titan; we've had characters happily being freed from their posthumous torment or servitude, but would the three Mantle members be willing or unwilling to become Titans again after the first 'failed' attempt?)
My personal perception of Titans had been they were extremely powerful; after all, the Mursaat feared them more than anything and despite being extremely powerful beings themselves, were massacred by them. So I thought Titans had to be on a very high power scale... (though I'm aware of people telling me Titans were not as difficult in GW1 as other enemies in the same campaign, but I'm going on lore-based levels of catastrophe.)
And I feel it kind of didn't really come across that way.
Sorry to be that guy, but I'm bringing SotO into this conversation. Specifically, the kryptis.
Kryptis, to me, felt like a very constant and imposing threat. Their spread was wide across Tyria, they had done extreme damage to and killed many people in Gyala Delve before we even had a vague idea of what they were. The kryptis had their claws in each of the wizards, who are currently, I believe, the strongest beings within Tyria itself in absence of the Elder Dragons. Three wizards have been killed by kryptis, and Cerus would 100% have been able to kill Isgarren and the Commander if not for the intervention of ANOTHER kryptis; Peitha. The kryptis had felt like a huge impact and threat, and for me at least, this is something the Titans sorely lacked.
Maybe it was their reach being small (just Janthir), but there's something that glaringly sticks out to me... Janthir Wilds is so far the only expac where a character didn't die in the story. AND NO, before you come at me, hear me out. We do not NEED a character to die to cement the Titans power, BUT when we have lost characters in every step up to now, it makes the Titan threat feel smaller when these legendary beings of horror and destruction that are famed for annihilating one of the strongest races of ancient Tyria do not kill a single person within the story* itself.
*Story as in instances only, not overworld, etc.
I don't WANT characters to die willy nilly, but considering the track record of loss following the commander's footsteps, it just feels /off/, you know? Even with the disastrous effects on the environment, somehow the Titans just didn't feel as big as a threat as they could have, or should have, been. I'm not sure what alternative could have been; but there are ways to make them feel powerful that wouldn't need someone to die.
This was extremely not helped by the horribly underpowered incarnations in the story for Godspawn, where all three titans felt absurdly weak for no clear-cut reason even considering they'd been injured already (because Ura was also fairly paper-y in her one and only fight).
Mabon implying that Eparch was not as big a problem as the three Titans was a bit 'ahaha... are you sure?' for me ^_^;;;; That guy was one step away from having Isgarren literally magically nuke Nayos from existence.
I also felt a bit fatigued because, although I hadn't done the raid myself yet, realizing you fight Greer and Decima a total of 6 times each across all content was a bit 'whew'. (First story battle, second story battle, Godspawn story, Syntri meta, convergences, and the raid).
It's not like I hate Janthir Wilds, far from it actually, but my problem is that the things I like... are not the 'main' aspect of the expac? I loved the Lowland Kodan, the Wizard lore, Commgarren real, the expansion of Seer-Mursaat lore that I had been so, SO looking forward to, those are the things that I thrive on! But in a way like how the Wizards got kinda sidelined in SotO for the kryptis arc (although because I passionately love the kryptis, this was not really a big problem for me specifically), the Titans felt sidelined in their own expansion despite the focus on them, and I just can't explain HOW it feels that way. And trust me, I was really excited to see Titans implemented, it just didn't... work for me as much as I wished it did, and that's sad.
Looking forward to the Dzalana expac where we'll finally face Mingus and his Shadow cronies and maybe find out more about Akeem and Vass! (This is just what I expect and not what I'm 100% placing my bets on; I still have Aquatic Expac hopium.)

Bad Guy?
skirmisher. [Pt 2 of wanderer x reader story]
(title linked to wattpad book)
The incense in my living room burned, leaving a trailing scent of smoke and lavender to float around the house.
The peace of my home was one I'd always learn to cherish in new ways.
Closing the curtains to block out the sun, I debated the plans I had to make for the day.
Explore? Work? Find one of my friends?
They all seemed exhausting. I'd spent the last month doing nothing but help others and be at work...
I could write.. read, work out, cook....
My hobbies all felt disinteresting.
At least today they did.
I didn't technically need to do something, but being in the house for the entire day wasn't mentally healthy.
A walk, I decided on after a rough and boring contemplation from the couch.
Gathering the little energy I had, I stood and got ready. Regardless of how I felt, I would at least always look presentable outside my home.
I took longer than I intended, but I always did so it wasn't much of a surprise when I looked at my clock.
I grabbed my bag, put on my shoes, and left.
Did I have a destination? Where would I go? Where do I want to go?
Nowhere.
Well, the bookshop has more imports?
I found the familiar intricate staircase with ease, passing the story-teller and glancing at the Northland bank. That was where I saw the strange boy for the first time a few days ago..
Approaching the open store, I greeted the shopkeeper and looked at the new arrivals.
I read the backs of each book, and decided to buy just one of them. A romance book, about an Adeptus and a human.
I just found it an ironic piece; not only due to the disrespect (making me certain it was written from a non-Liyue citizen), but also because of my previous attempted friendship with an Adeptus, Xiao.
Maybe I should gift it to him when I'm finished... he's not one to find humor in much though...
I paid for the book, and left. But I could hear a voice yelling, one I had almost only heard yelling; or angry. The same voice I secretly began growing accustom to.
A silent breath escaped my mouth as I discreetly walked towards the bank entrance, where his voice was coming from.
The temptation to ask his name grew greater as I saw the guards, however, I wasn't sure if they'd make him aware of who I was.
Was it a law to them that they'd have to inform him? Would they even tell me in the first place?
A rather big distance away, I could view the ginormous hat yelling at a tall ginger.
I knew him as Childe, someone I'd seen interact with Zhongli before. Childe always appeared as quite the character.. a harbinger. Harbinger number... I wouldn't know. I'd never cared that much.
Many people mentioned his name around the city, speaking on how kind he was. How he was always a generous tipper. There's many tales women would tell about how charming he was. Truthfully, the facade felt too overplayed. He felt standoffish to me, I didn't believe who he pretended to be.
I never spoke to him personally, so it's not my place to make assumptions. It was only a feeling.
I couldn't quite make out what the shorter harbinger was saying, but I couldn't help myself from thinking it was likely something stupid.
Pure curiosity, or even a hint of fascination, led me to quietly approach a guard who was stationed at the staircase of the bank.
"Do you know who that is?" I asked the guard quietly, unsure of what the reaction would be.
The guard stiffened, and looked at me with his eyes. His face did not follow.
In a low, almost shaky voice, he spoke. As if he knew who I was asking about.
"...The Skirmisher.."
Surprised that I got a response, I gratefully smiled at him, the smile small but still present.
"Thank you" I spoke just as quietly, turning to leave the area.
they won't tell him they won't tell him they won't tell him
I repeated the mantra in my mind as I made my exit, going unnoticed by both harbingers.
I sighed, wondering who I would even ask about what exactly 'The Skirmisher' meant.
Who the hell is named that? And why?
Obviously it's not his actual name, but it was too weird to process in my mind. It felt useless trying to find a reason behind the title.
Carefully going down the stairs, I decided my plans for the day. Utilize the 'friendship' I made; the Adeptus I spent so much time on. Find out who he is. Find out what the hell a skirmisher is...?

So it's been an exciting few weeks
Finally aknowledged I'm trans
Came out to most people irl by now
Made an initial appointment next week for the prerequisite health tests to hopefully go on T soon
I spent way too many years afraid of not really knowing myself and then of being unable to convince others that I know myself. I have a great therapist these days, thankfully.
Frankly, I also wasted way too much time assuming that I needed to figure out if I'm not maybe also a bit nonbinary before even talking to anybody about it? But like, what does it matter if I'm only like 95% a man instead of 100%? It's not like that's something you can actually quantify. It also wouldn't change anything about the name I want, or which pronouns are correct for me, or the kind of dysphoria I experience. It certainly doesn't change anything about the hormones and top surgery I'll need to alleviate it.
And I'm quite certain you always go into big life changes and choices feeling a bit unsure. You just gotta take the plunge at some point.
But since I did, I've been feeling a lot better in general. Lots of energy and motivation. I can't remember the last time I've been in such a good mood? I'm actually looking forward to the future for the first time in over a decade.
And honestly, the reactions have been mindblowing so far. My friends are so on board. It was almost whiplash how much of a nonissue coming out was after I'd been excitedly looking forward to meeting them for weeks. (I absolutely wanted to tell them in person and one of my closest friends lives a few hours away so we don't see each other often.) They just went along with it and even started to correct each other when someone mixed up my name or pronouns. Within 5 minutes it went from "So, I have to tell you something" to "Hey [chosen name], you want a pickle?"
On two separate occasions I got a very casual and relaxed "Wenn das so ist, dann ist das halt so" (Basically "If that's how it is then so be it" - my translation doesn't quite capture the vibe.)
My best friend, who's offensively cishet, is still my biggest cheerleader. Just a bit annoyed at me for having mostly one topic at the moment, maybe. Things are going pretty well.
