Love love your ronmort essay, couldn't agree more ! Do you have any head cannons about them you want to dissert about cause I'm all ears !!
Some quick ideas to texture the Borgin Tom AU:
-Tom initially looks down on him and is paternalistic and sees him a little like a pet (obviously) but he is so self-assured that he hasn't come to terms with the fact Ron is his special little princess.
-Tom avoids testing his loyalty for a long while, because it requires actually interrogating how important that loyalty is to him. He does constantly test his affection though. Always keep them on their toes.
-When the loyalty test does come he just takes it as a given Ron will be loyal not because he genuinely believes it but because the crashout would be legendary if he didn't and he refuses to entertain the possibility the next year of his life would be dedicated to malding over the kind of guy you'd pass at a grocery store. Luckily Ron is a true ride or die👍
-After learning Tom is a crime lord Ron is actually pretty proactive in organizing any potential conflicts so they don't come to blows. He is doing this out of moral opposition but it does have the knock-on effect of making Tom calm down.
-Tom teaches him parseltongue and Ron ends up semi-fluent. He loves to talk to Ron in parseltongue to fuck with people
-Tom loves it when Ron turns down potential paramours, it puts him in a good mood for the rest of the day. He enjoys hamming up how they don't stand a chance because their romantic rival is ~Lord Voldemort~. He wants to do a Betty and Veronica routine with someone so bad but he can't because if his rival actually stood a chance they would go missing under mysterious circumstances
-For a really long time Ron avoids telling Harry and Hermione that he is some bizarrely well-connected older shopkeeper's Kept Man. Because Harry would think it was weird because they stalked him as children and Hermione would think it was weird AND wrong because they stalked him as children. And Harry would suggest stalking again
-When they do meet, Tom immediately focuses on antagonizing Harry as much as possible. Surviving baby murder has attracted all the aggro Hermione would have absorbed from being the one who got away. Tom thinks it is SO absurdly funny, he loves that he's made an urban legend out of an infant because he didn't like being forced to change diapers. Like naturally only he could do this.
-The Death Eaters are all bothered by Ron. It was okay when Abraxas was the favourite because he's a rich pureblood patriarch of good breeding. Who the fuck is that. ??????
-Having a man in his house to dote on him after a long day has done never-before-seen things to Tom's mental health.
-Ron was really excited to introduce him to his family up until Tom decided to play up his bootstraps backstory and his mom fell over herself to welcome him and Percy fell over himself to look impressive to someone so notoriously well-connected and he earned Fred & George's respect effortlessly and they're all going "how did you pull THAT" while this is happening. He spends an entire month in some level of sulk until they finally have a screaming argument and Tom freezes him out for the longest time they've ever been apart before finally deciding to lure him back with gifts. When Ron doesn't like them he takes it extremely personally but the fact this made him so unbelievably angry does give Ron a clue on Tom's values and he (with help from friends) is the one to reconcile with warm and supportive communication and a shiny object.

hi, fountain pen nerd here (also destiny nerd). different materials question from all the ink ones you've gotten, but if you don't mind me asking, what paper(s) do you use for your art? it takes the ink like a champ while still seeming to preserve a lot of the ink's qualities and crispness, and i'm deeply curious. btw, the sense of mood in your pieces is consistently stunning and on point, no matter what exactly it is. your works are so, so cohesive
Hello and thank you so much! 💙 Aaah, the right paper is always the toughest to find, yet - imo - the most important... I'm always in search for it and I like to experiment and use different papers.
For now my favorite paper to use is in the Rhodia Pen & Inkwash A4* sketchbook. It has a rather shitty binding (it literally fell apart in my hands, lmao), but it handles both inks and markers extremely well and is a pleasure to work in mix media. Hahnemühle Nostalgie, Fabriano Accademia 120gsm or 160gsm** are also okay to work on, but not as good as Rhodia, especially in terms of showing off inks' chromatography.
For artworks done purely in ink (or those that require too much water or layering) I use Arches hot pressed watercolour paper (before getting Arches I used Baohong S8, also hot press - it's the best out of less pricey 100% cotton papers imo).
As for the toned paper - both Clairefontaine Paint'ON Naturel and Stilman & Birn Nova beige sketchbook work equally well with inks and markers. Talens Art Creation sketchbook is also nice (but only those with yellowish paper).
* - it's A4 sketchbook specifically. I also have 21x21 cm sketchbook with the same name, however it has awfully bad paper that is almost impossible to use for inks. From what I've seen, a few people also had similar issues with their square sketchbooks.
** - NOT 200 gsm! Despite having the same name, 200gsm is very different from both 120 and 160, both in texture and in behavior. Which is sad, I hoped to get the same paper, just thicker :(

⚘ 𝓒𝓱𝓻𝓲𝓼𝓽𝓶𝓪𝓼 𝓣𝓮𝔁𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓮

PAIRINGS | Choi Chanhee x G/n Reader (no pronouns)
GENRE | Fluff, Christmas!
WORD COUNT | 0.5k
SYNOPSIS | Spending the holidays with your boyfriend was always so comforting for you. Especially when you get to try something new, and make hot chocolate.
WARNINGS | None, just pure fluff :)
NETWORKS | @deoboyznet @starlit-network @k-library @blossomnet
A/N | Merry Christmas and happy holidays! I hope you all had/have an amazing day with your loved ones. I know this isn't anything big, but I wanted to post something cute in celebration of the holidays! This is a beautiful time of year, my personal favorite <3
“Do you want hot chocolate?” You questioned, lifting yourself from the couch as his gaze followed you.
“With marshmallows?” He smirked as you returned the mischievous look.
“With marshmallows.” You added.
His smirk was switched out for a soft smile, nodding to your request. His attention switched over to the TV as you stood up and walked over to the kitchen.
“I'll look for a movie.” He muttered.
The Christmas tree in the living room was nicely decorated, lit up with the glowing ornaments and lights that were wrapped around it. You both had just been sitting in the dark, illuminated by the television screen and decorations around it.
After reaching the kitchen, you turned on the lights and went in search of the hot chocolate, which you were certain you knew where it was but it turned out not.
“What would you like to watch?” You heard his voice call from the living room. Thinking for a moment, you thought of an appropriate answer while opening up every cabinet, in search of the hot cocoa.
“I'm not sure, I'm in the mood for some thriller but a romantic Christmas movie sounds cozy too.” You muttered.
Earlier, you had baked cookies and brownies with your boyfriend, Chanhee. Luckily it had been perfect timing as both desserts were already done.
He hadn't responded to your comment, but that was normal. You guessed he was silently focusing on finding a good thing to watch that fulfilled your wishes. But you both had a slight problem -
“Chanhee, I think we're out of hot chocolate…”
His head swung back around as he stared at you.
“What do you mean we're out of hot chocolate?” He questioned, causing you to silently nod.
“I can't find it.”
A few moments had passed of him in deep thought until he finally stood up and walked over to the pantry, opening the small closet door and taking out the cocoa powder and milk chocolate bars that'd made home on the small shelf.
“Then we'll just make our own.” He shrugged as you rolled your eyes and laughed. Of course he'd find a solution for it.
“Okay then Mr. Know-it-all. What should I do?”
“Grab the milk and sugar please.” He instructed, grabbing a small pot with enough room for the hot chocolate.
You followed his instructions, bringing him the milk and sugar.
You both worked together and were able to make a rich and savory hot chocolate. It was rich and thick in terms of texture. Engulfed by the beauty, you were so close to just chugging it all up in one go, but he stopped you.
His hands had the mini marshmallows, whipped cream, and of course, chocolate syrup.
After assembling your masterpiece, you both drank your creation and drowned into the flavor.
“Jeez.. where did you learn to make something so rich?”
He glanced over at you and shrugged. “Pure skill I guess.” He smirked mischievously and confidently, causing you to once more roll your eyes.
“Come’on, tell me!”
“YouTube.” He finally answered, making you burst out laughing.
“Well, I guess YouTube really does have good recipes.”
“Of course it does!” He answered sassily, “I've learned to make some fire food from there.” He finished as you chuckled in response.
After a couple moments of process you finally noticed.
“Hey, wait.. where did the cocoa powder come from?”
He shrugged in response to your question.
“Bought it in case of emergency the other day.”

I got this slightly upsetting "ask" from someone who saw one of your images I shared and assumed it was "AI Art." I tagged you in my response: tumblr.com/futurebird/744514952775286784
I think the way you are using AI in your art is really neat. I think calling any of your work "AI Art (derogatory)" is wrong but wanted to know what you thought about it and if the particular drawing used any AI.
My guess it it's pure illustration (whatever that means, is a gradient "using AI" ?)
In any case keep making beautiful drawings however you do it, I hope you keep sharing your process --it's so helpful for all us amateurs.
And please maybe draw more ants.
Man, I wish I was skilled/experienced enough to train a model that produced images this coherent with a dataset as small as mine. Alas, Neuroslug isn't there yet. I'm trying though, gonna do some nonconventional training methods for the next iteration.
But back to the original question, that drawing is fully hand drawn, no AI touched it directly. There is some on the inspiration board though. One of the random gens produced a cute orange outfit with a shorter skirt part than I'd usually draw. I refined that further and the result is the outfit on the mom in that drawing. The moths themselves I did just bullshit together from memory without referencing any particular species.
Lately I've taken to using Neuroslug as turbo-Pinterest tailored to my specific needs. It's very neat when the outfits I'm browsing through for inspiration are already fitting for an anthro insect. In terms of reference, there's AI an almost all my reference boards now - for mood, for lighting, outfits, fluff colors etc. And I don't tag images that only use AI for reference because why? It isn't much different than just yanking something on google images for the same purpose. Whenever I do tag with "neuroslug" it means that there's substantial amount of work done directly on the image through AI generation, and not just as reference or minor superimposed textures.
I hear you about the ants, gonna need to develop a culture for them as well at some point.

helloo 🕺 i was wondering if u had any tips for writing feedist fics ? i have a wip and i fear i’m losing steam bc i just don’t know how to describe literally anything 💔💔💔
Hi! I can't say I'm a pro or anything, but I have some tips from experience! Below the cut 💜
1. Applies to general writing as well! Outlines help a lot when you're stuck. Personally I did so much writing prep in my life that for free time/porn fics I just keep a rough outline in my head and see where it takes me. But if you find yourself losing steam while you're determined to finish writing, making a list of points/actions that you wanna include can be helpful! You can put it at the beginning of your doc and then delete it when you're done. I know it may be awkward to clinically outline intimate stuff, but from an organizational standpoint, it's great! It's like having a road map.
2. For porn fics specifically: try and make it all a rollercoaster in regards to the horny meter. Sometimes fics feel imbalanced or cut off at an odd point - unsatisfying, right? While I'm still learning how to do it consistently, I think I have an idea how to do it well. It's basically a double, or triple build-up and release. In terms of my feedist fics, it will usually be: set up -> feeding part 1 (climax) -> feeding part 2 (indulgence). It's important not to cut it off right after the climax of the story, but let it roll for a moment longer for that extra corruption kick.
3. Lastly, for feedism fics, and I can't stress this enough: TEXTURE! FLAVOR! SMELL! These three can truly transform your fic. Go ham on the sensory stuff. Feel the sun on your characters' skin. Are they warm? Cold? How does their food taste like? Maybe you can have them indulge in something you like, for that extra inspo? I usually write the food I crave in the moment haha
And last but not least: don't sweat it! Be in the right mood! Writing nsfw is supposed to be fun and self-indulgent <3
Hope you found some of this stuff useful 💜 Also, if you need a proofreader, I'm down!

Hi pals!
I’ll still be travelling when you’re seeing this and haven’t watched the finale, so I don’t have any new content to share, but last week (maybe longer? I don’t know— rainforest brain lol) I posted a poll asking if anyone was interested in seeing a snippet of my editing process, so here it is feat. possibly one of my favourite Wrecker moments.
I use a myriad of different software depending on: my mood, what computer/tablet I’m using, what the image looks like, and how much energy I’m willing to put into it lol In this video, I’m using Lightroom on my iPad.
The three main factors I look mostly closely at when I’m editing shots are 1. lighting, 2. noise, and 3. resolution (read: clarity).
This image required pretty minimal work so it’s probably not the best example, but ah well. The process in the above video is as follows, and please note the video had been sped up to 2x for file size reasons lol
The first thing I’ll do is see what the auto edit function defaults to. Often times it overexposes the image, resulting in significant colour noise, but it gives me a decent idea of what I should expect in terms of colour corrections and exposure mapping. The auto edit function wasn’t terrible in this case, but did produce some colour noise, mainly on Wrecker’s chest plate, his sleeves, and the officers hat. Once I’m done the initial scope out, I’ll exposure the image as high as possible to crop it— usually with the subject being as centered as possible.
This software lets the user tweak the bones of the image individually in three ways, all of them very quickly demonstrated here. The first is the curve method which I despise and NEVER use— because it alters multiple aspects at once, I don’t feel like I have the same degree of control as the other methods. Next is HDR setting (the default upon import) using the sliders on the right. This is effective for images that are already pretty well lit, and does give me a little more control, but most of the time because the screenshots are so dark, I’m editing in SDR mode.
Once I’m satisfied with the exposure/lighting, I’ll move on to correcting colour distortion and saturating the image. This software also provides three methods for colour alternation and I’ll typically use all three in conjunction with each other. Colour mixing is extremely crucial when it comes to reducing odour noise and distortion. Because this software lets me isolate certain colours to adjust their hue, saturation, and luminance, I can typically reduce most of or all of the colour noise. However, it does have its limitations. In this particular post, desaturating the colour noise in Crosshair’s rifle coincided with blanching his skin tone, because this software does not let me isolate certain areas of an image. It was also important to me to emphasize the warm tones from the sunset in the background for the overall mood of the shot, so I opted to remove what colour noise I could and leave the rest. (You can’t win em all… especially when the starting image is near-black lol)
Correcting the colour distortion in this image was not particularly difficult, desaturating all purple tones removed the noise from his chest plate, and shifting green tones to something near a yellow instead removed the noise from his sleeve. I didn’t notice the colour noise on the officers hat until a little later, but that was pretty easily corrected too.
Once I’ve fixed the colour noise, I’ll shift to toning the overall image. Wrecker particularly looks good in cool tones, but It’s nice to contrast a cool tone background with the warmth of his skin.
Once the toning is done, I’ll move on the image clarity. I don’t have the means to alter the actual resolution of the image, but I’m particularly picky with balancing texture and clarity. Wrecker always looks the best with texture and clarity increased, because it brings out the scarring on his face and further humanizes him, but overdoing the texture can also emphasize pixelation. Once that’s done, I’ll reduce the overall noise only slightly (doing too much makes them look airbrushed and unnatural), and whatever is left of the colour noise (too much of this setting makes them look like ghouls LOL)
This software also offers a series of preset alterations/filters briefly shown in this video… but I’m not the biggest fan of any of them. I’m a bit of a control freak and would rather tweak each aspect individually to the degree that I like, instead blanketing the image with present modifications and then undoing certain aspects.
Before exporting the image I’ll do another once over and make sure I’m happy! In this case, I opted to go back in and add some darker tones back into the image. I don’t do this often, particularly when they start so damn dark, but I wanted to keep the focus centrally on Wrecker’s radiance lol
That’s about it. If I’m working on multiple edits in a set, this software lets me just copy and paste the settings, so the following images only require extremely light tweaks and take almost no time. And that, I’ll export, autograph, and upload!
Thank you for attending this unprofessional Ted Talk.

So I got a bit carried away with stuff this week, had some bad news, had some real bad news, then some good things, and through it all I was making stuff. Which is, honestly what's keeping my mood up is that I can still create and try things that succeed.
So my boss at my new job was very very kind and gave everyone whole christmas hams (each) for the holidays, I was, super unsure what to do with it for a week, but came to the idea of making little hand pies, then I could bring some into work still, go thru the ham, and eat maybe a little healthier. So I took a vodka pie crust recipe and stuffed those into my cupcake pan with some fried shallots, brie, and the ham itself, all into little cupcake sized ham and cheese pies and oh my god. They were delicious. While I was at it (technically before) I also made the pudding pies from the recipe in Awaria, Vanripper's new game (Helltaker dev) about sapphically kissing ghosts. Unsurprisingly, vanilla pudding filled pies were addictive and not only did I eat all of those in like two days. I also ate all the ham and cheese ones in like four...
On to model stuff though.
Vtuber Stuff
So I have a few ways I've rendered models as I get better. The first one (android) uses a bit of a cel-shaded style that I felt was good enough at the time, and I tried for softer more regular shading on the cowgirl model later on. For the moth here, I wasn't sure what exactly I was going to do for the skin and clothing, but I knew I had an idea for the hair so I started there. I took a look at stuff like Arcane and how they render hair, looking at my cowgirl model again, and then just kinda combining them. I ended up with a really gritty, messy render with chalky looking outlines and I kinda dig it.
Also yes her hair IS very reminiscent of Vi, I realized that far too late to want to change it because unfortunately that's just also been my hair irl for like 6 years so we can all fight over it I guess... From the hair, after I got to this point, I was thinking, wow, I wonder what those brushes would look like when I did shading, because sticking to a soft airbrust was contrasting weirdly with the hair rendering, and I was still staring at Arcane screenshots and stills and going "... I wonder..." which is where I ended up going off.
Obviously, I can't go fully into the painterly direction like Arcane does. The way that vtuber models move - and my future plans for this model and how I need it to move - would mean that level of specificity just wouldn't work out long term. That in mind I've struct a balance between clearly visible brushmarks visible in the shading and texturing, coverage, and color simplicity. It's always important to remember with vtuber models to imagine it sitting at less than 1/4th your screen size down in the corner. I used to have these marks be less pronounced, but they were indistinguishable at scale that would actually matter. Think of it exactly like contour makeup. It's there for the scene you're seeing it in! Not for zooming way in on the face at close detail all the time.
Anyways I think it kicks ass, the skull motif in the shading comes through and the colors of everything blend well with the brush I was using to make a kind of edgy look that fits her hairstyle and aesthetic.
For today (Tuesday) I actually spent most of it running errands and fixing my phone by replacing its broken screen (success though). So I didn't do much work at all on this other than some inner mouthparts - which are a secret - and then stylematching the eyes to this new render style. I added some texturing to the larger parts of the eye like the sclera and irises, and reshaped the shinies to be sharper. I think overall it looks really distinct and interesting! Once all these head parts and inner mouth parts are done, I want to go into live2D with them and get that rigged before I move on to the body. Not for any particular reason other than I want to see how much more I'll need to draw for the head toggles to look how I imagine them, so I want to just get started ASAP.
Past those, I was working on commissions, which is, by my own policy, a no-sharing kinda thing (reminder my commissions are open:tm:). So here you go with the bonus doodle. Mothgirl Fay in sorta chibi-er proportions! (Idk what to call this)

And while he was the one initiating tea in his garden, the general has found himself running late. Paperwork, the ever so casual dodging of Fu Xuan among others, had resulted in Jing Yuan having to figure out some rather creative ways to escort himself out of the office. A few neat tricks, turns and a favor from a ever so lively, local performer had eventually granted him in his freedom, one he spent best strolling along some market stalls on the way to the back of his garden; some moon cakes for his company, most likely too flavorless for Jiaoqiu's taste, as well as one more gift that he would carry carefully within his hand. Carefully stepping into his garden, as not to drop the gifts, he'd soon enough make himself known next to the foxian.
"Forgive my tardiness," Jing Yuan spoke gently, golden gaze shifting sideways to catch a glimpse of the other's profile; "Lady Fu Xuan found herself in a rather enthusiastic mood today which proved difficult to ... convince, please, hold your hand out for me, Jiaoqiu."
For upon instruction there would be a faint brush of hands, warm and broad fingers gliding past the others as Jing Yuan delivered a small, folded lotus into the other's hand. It was rather fragile, folded by fragile paper textured with lotus flower patterns. Course to touch, but in between its pattern a smooth, gentle texture; " there were some children that stopped me on the way here, insisting that I accepted one of their handmade lotus flowers. Of course, I couldn't simply take it. Such would be rather cruel, so... I bought two," he'd smile warmly, setting the moon cake box on the table before him.
"You already made tea I see," he'd add with a pleased hum, not quite moving away from the Foxian's side side, empty hand raising to meet with the back of his shoulder; " ... do I dare assume you have spiked it with ginger as payback for me arriving a bit late?"
He probably deserved it.
Amusement as ear twists to greet the sound of footfalls from a partner long overdue his time promised for tea in the ever-fabled gardens of the sleepy general's personal Eden. Though the lonesome settling for one was rather worth the delay of another, it wasn't Jiaoqiu's way to be left without some form of comment as his hand did raise without hesitation. A trust like no other already founded between them both here.
"A shame, I always did wish to sit in the first row upon a Lady Fu Xuan scolding of the General." He's seen and heard many tales of it in his days roaming, but as the topic was shifted to that of the item in his palm, the foxian was interested with the sentimentality of it all. A firm piece of folded beauty that he couldn't shape with his eyes, but his thumbs did move with ease. Learning how to be less heavy-handed had been a trial and a half, but now he knew what to hold back.
The creases were fine and sharp, a talented folder. The smell even held that of a child's touch. Sweets, ink and a mix of mischief in terms of firecrackers? Interesting, truly it was. "Lotus flower origami?" It was a divine skill, paper folding was never his forte, too many mistakes that crumbled his practice sheets, and he had not the patience nor time to develop more of it in his downtimes. Shaking hands could only serve so many meals after all… A calming method shared amongst a few of the warriors under his own General's law, but it was few and far between. Small things to keep the mind occupied, and now it was doing what they should have done in the war zones. Strange, it was.
"At least you gave them something to brag about to their future generations." To buy two, when gifted one for free - was something small and insignificant, but to those below their means and ranks, it was a gospel achievement of true equality outside the pitying shades. Thumbs continued to follow the pattern with interest though upon his last round of understanding the shape in his palms - the heat of their hand was welcomed with or without their comment upon tea being brewed within the tea kettle before them. Humoured, the Foxian's ear flicked with ease, as his tail wiggled and shifted sides to rest the weight of it upon Jing Yuan's hip as he spoke in return.
"Just enough to clear the sinuses. But fear not, General - I added two whole spoonfuls of honey for your delicate self this time."

Tagged by @archaiclumina! Thanks so much!
I have so many characters I can do this on but because The Brainworms Have Been Strong lately I'll do one for an older character I've been revisiting:
Cota!
Basics
Name: Cota Uurtsaina
Nicknames: None!
Age: 22
Nameday: 10th Sun of the 3rd Astral Moon
Gender: Female
Orientation: To be perfectly honest I'm not 100% sure yet! I rarely decide these sort of things for my character from the start and usually let that develop over time. That said so far I think she's leaning towards being demi.
Profession: She doesn't actually have a long term job, but she is more than willing to pick up any sort of work that is legal. She tends to lean towards doing jobs where she can use her skills as a fighter, but she's not opposed to temp clerical work, cooking, serving, or any other sort of mundane job.
Physical Aspects
Hair: Naturally dark brown, but she likes dying parts a sort of pistachio green
Eyes: Pale green
Skin: Medium brown
Tattoos/scars: She's been incredibly lucky in that most of her serious cuts have healed really well and not left any major scars, but she does have some faint scars on her hands and arms from practicing pugilism for years.
Family
Parents:
Father: Huslen Uurtsaina
Mother: Polished Stone
Siblings: No siblings.
Grandparents:
Father's side:
Grandmother: Tegusken Uurtsaina
Grandfather: Fleet Boulder
Mother's side:
Grandmother: Tempered Flame
Grandfather: Baiju Uurtsaina
Pets: Always wanted a coeurl but never had one.
Skills
Abilities: Punching! And kicking! She's sort of homebrewed her own style of pugilism after leaving the guild that involves infusing her attacks with layers of magic to produce differing effects beyond that which is typically taught. She's generally well rounded in life skills, but would not qualify herself as a professional crafter of any sort.
Hobbies: Eating sweets, especially baked goods. She also loves reading and particularly likes to dig through books on magic theory and whatever bargain finds she comes across.
Traits
Most Positive Trait: Always trying to be positive!
Most Negative Trait: Always trying to be positive! (She softlocks herself in obviously overwhelmingly negative situations until she either finds a way to lighten the mood or wanders away defeated and dejected.)
Likes
Colors: Earth tones in general, but especially browns, warm blacks, and light greens.
Smells: Wet clay, sweat, garlic, warm cake
Textures: Canvas, fine wool.
Drinks: Milk and otherwise creamy drinks.
Other Details
Smokes: Nope
Drinks: Occasionally, and when she does she typically takes it slow.
Drugs: Never had the chance to even think about it.
Mount Issuance: She doesn't have her own and usually rents a chocobo.
Been Arrested: Nope!
I would love to tag people to participate, but I'm not sure who may or may not have done this already over the last about 2 weeks while I've been hyperfixating on other things, so if you see this and you haven't done it already, feel free to take this as an opportunity to do so!

Faerun!Alisaie vs The Great Reveal
Now in a mind flayer colony
Alisaie: Man, Lae'zel is going to be pissed she missed this. I'm going to have to dress this one up in all the bells and whistles when I tell it. ...Or maybe I should downplay it to stave off the envy?
Wyll: Decide that later. Rescues now. Still don't believe we're probably having to rescue Mizora.
Alisaie: In exchange for your freedom. What do you know about the fine print of your contract?
Wyll: *has INT of 8 and WIS of 10* ...Fine print?
Alisaie: .........ohforfuckssake...
Wyll: I was a kid when--! Oh, never mind; I'll tell you when we're done here.
Alisaie: But until then we have to fight our way through this place and then negotiate on the fly with unknown terms and conditions. Holy fuck.
Wyll: She's ... really mad at me, isn't she?
Gale: More the situation than you. And honestly, be grateful.
Wyll: That she's angry? Why?
Undead: *are kind of in the way*
Alisaie: *very much gets them OUT of her way*
Gale: That's why. She fights well angry. I'd swear she's taking lessons from Karlach. Anyway. Helping time. IGNIS!
Stabnation: *ensues*
After taking a bit of a wrong turn...
Gale: I don't believe you rescued an intellect devourer.
Shadowheart: I do. We met that one on the ship. It's kind of ... her ... intellect devourer now. Altruism, remember?
Gale: Well, I suppose she did rescue Lae'zel, and most of her people are trying to kill us too. Huh. What's this?
Alisaie: Neural network. I guess it needs connecting if we want that door unlocked. Lemme see...
Gale: If you wanted, I could--
Alisaie: *connects up the neural network*
Door: *unlocks*
Gale: ...I'm going to second Wyll on this, Shadowheart. Appreciate that one. Illithid Empire history! This is so cool...
Wyll: *holds Gale back a bit* You're remarkably cheerful for someone who might end up dead at the end of this.
Gale: We're ignoring that so we can keep going, because ... oh fuck if I have to do this here, I'm taking all of you out with me!
Wyll: ...That ... that can't happen. There's going to be another way. There has to. I mean, if it was just me, or just you and me, or... I mean ... they only just got their feelings sorted and started to act on it! They deserve better than that!
Gale: Sorry. My ex is a bit of a bitch.
Wyll: I'd say I sympathise, but I never wanted any of that with Mizora.
Gale: You said you were a 'kid' when that started. I'm assuming teenager. As in teenaged boy, brimming with hormones, and she wears cleavage down to her navel. And you're telling me you never even wanted--?
Wyll: ...Shut up.
Alisaie: *rocking back up with loot* What are you two talking about now?
Wyll; Gale: .........
Gale: Hair care tips? I mean, the texture of mine is kind of different but I imagine that particular style requires a lot less brushing after a day spent shoving through bushes, and I also wondered if it was easier or harder to wash viscera out of.
Alisaie: ...You two are so weird. Also lying, but I'm going to let you this once. We've got shit to do.
To the rescue!
Zevlor: Look, I'm sorry, all right? That Absolute thing got into my head and told me I'd be a Paladin again and I'd have the power to protect my people and--
Wyll: Deep mood. I mean, less mind control, and a lot less paladin, but seriously. Deep mood.
Alisaie: Look, I really don't care. If you're not carrying around the kind of protection we are, I can't blame anyone for getting mindfucked by a gods-damned elder brain. But I'll tell you this - you don't need that kind of power to be the saviour your people need. There's all kinds of other ways you can follow your ideals without a god letting you smite shit. Go be the leader your people need and get out of here before shit gets real. Because it's about to. But you've got a little time while we rescue the one other entity we're trying to rescue in here. Well, maybe more than a little.
Zevlor: You expect it to be difficult? I could--
Alisaie: Nah. I just want at least two minutes to point and laugh.
Zevlor: ...wut.
Wyll: I'm with her on this one, I have to admit.
Zevlor: Um ... very well? I'll ... just ... herd survivors out of here. Do you know an exit?
Gale: *as Alisaie and Wyll wander into the next room* Just keep heading that way and climb up. You should be fine.
Wyll; Alisaie: *hysterical, somewhat mean-spirited laughter from the next room*
Mizora: Yes, yes, I'm sure you're finding this terribly amusing, now get me out of here!
Alisaie: Okay ... but first you tell me what bullshit is in Wyll's contract that prevents him from being released from his pact right the hell now. ...No pun intended.
Mizora: Subclause saying that there's a six-month cooling-off period if the contract-holder agrees to terminate the contract.
Alisaie: Yeah, figured it'd be something like that. So if that's the case, and you really want to see if he might reconsider during those six months, shouldn't you sweeten the deal?
Mizora: ...I suppose it has been awhile since I led with the carrot rather than the stick. Here. Shiny toy. A reminder of what you stand to lose if you really give up this contract.
Wyll: .........
Mizora: ...Yes, I suppose also as thanks for getting me out of there. Zariel would have followed through on the lemure thing if you hadn't, by the way. Toodles! *poof*
Gale: I am still in awe of how you can talk people into anything. Or ... out of everything, depending on situation...
Mistress of Souls: OHAI. We're being attacked and you aren't where you should be and therefore I conclude you are the attackers!
Alisaie: Hey, I was sent here to help you keep your minions in check. If you were doing your job, I wouldn't have to be away from my post.
Mistress of Souls: ...
Gale: oshit...
Mistress of Souls: ...No! I can deal with this just fine! I'll be harder on them, I swear! Now go away and let me prove myself properly! I don't care where you wander, just ... not here!
Alisaie: You'd better. I don't want to see them anywhere else in this colony until they're properly recalcitrant, got it?
Mistress of Souls: Yes! Of course! Yes!
Shadowheart: *as they walk away* Did ... did you just get her to keep her own people out of any fight we might get into, and also be too busy to get into it herself?
Alisaie: Yep. And yes, I probably could sell firelighters in hell. I just don't want to. Sulphur makes me sneeze, and soul food is really not my bag.
Wyll: We're approaching potential doom and I'm laughing. Damn, you're good.
And, eventually, Ketherick Thorm and ... allies
Gortash: You're really fucking up, dude. Yeah, you got this army together, but you let the artefact wander around right under your nose in the care of some rogue True Soul and then you ran away?
Ketherick: She had an aasimar paladin on side. I think I'm within my rights. But she'll come down and I'll deal with her then.
Gortash: What, the paladin we locked up over there? Ugh; just ... get that artefact. Or I'll hand you over to Orin.
Orin: You have your source of immortality back. I could flay you foreeeeeever...
Gortash: Okay, let's call upon our gods and get the elder brain moving towards Baldur's Gate before Orin gets weird. *holds up gemstone* Tyranny!
Orin: *holds up own gemstone* Murder!
Ketherick: *thrusts chest forward like lap dancer* The dead!
Enslaved Elder Brain: By ... your ... powers ... combined...
Gale: There it is. I ... suppose I should do this now, then...
Alisaie: Okay, no. Three reasons. One - they're calling on death gods, and at this rate, they might answer. Two - there's more going on than we know about and I think Mystra wants answers about those gems as much as she wants this thing dead. Three - that crown is Netherese and might protect the elder brain, and the gems might protect the wielders, and then nothing stands between them and taking over Baldur's Gate.
Wyll: Four - that's my father over there! And he rules Baldur's Gate and he has a tadpole and who takes over if he and I both die?!?
Ketherick: The other two are gone, you know. Time to finish this. If nothing else? I want my hammer back. This flail just ... ain't it.
Alisaie: We really don't have to do this. You could just actually repent. Isobel would probably want to know you found peace before you died.
Ketherick: ...I'm ... probably in too far for that. But I can quietly monologue about the sadness I feel about not being worthy until you're close enough to--
Alisaie: *shoves Ketherick into the void*
Ketherick: Thaaaaaaaaanks...
Myrkul: I DON'T LIKE IT WHEN PEOPLE BREAK MY TOYS.
Myrkul: *manifests a much scarier avatar than Ketherick will ever be*
Alisaie: Whaaaaaat the fuuuuuuuuuuuuck...?
Gale: Well. You did say the gods might protect them from the Netherese orb blast. Now, let's fight this thing so we can survive long enough for you to get in a good "I told you so".
Alisaie: Right. Wyll; go get Aylin out of that soul cage. Gale; you're on little-guy clean-up. Shadowheart; light him up bright as you can.
Shadowheart: ...What are you going to do?
Alisaie: *Mobile Flourishes up to the platform* ELFSONG TAVERN SAYS HELLO, YOU CLATTERING COLLECTION OF CANTANKEROUS CARRION!
Shadowheart: If she headbutts him, I'm going to slap her.
Alisaie: You never let me have any fun!
Stabnation: *ensues*
And finally, back up top...
Jaheira: So? What happened then?
Alisaie: I'll dress it up more bardic pretty back at camp - for Volo and Lae'zel, if nothing else - but long story short? Wyll got Aylin out of the soul cage and we beat the tar out of the avatar of Myrkul, who then turned back into Ketherick Thorm, and I'll dress up how she literally stomped him into paste in a ballad later so Isobel can appreciate it but looking at those two...
Aylin: *grabs Isobel* We'll talk later, Shadowheart; I need this woman to tear all my clothes off.
Isobel: *blushing* Work, work, work...
Alisaie: Yeah. That. So there is another way of dealing with this bullshit; we get two more of these gems that are controlling the elder brain, and then ... I dunno; I can talk people into anything, so with that much control, I can probably get it to kill all the tadpoles without hurting anyone and then make it give itself the granddaddy of all aneurysms.
Jaheira: I like your style, and the Harpers will be helpful if Duke Ravengard is compromised. Let me come along.
Alisaie: Yeah, sure. Halsin'll be glad of the company, and... Wait. WITHERS?
Withers: It is a matter of balance, and so I am Here.
Alisaie: .........
Withers: ...What?
Alisaie: MORE EVIDENCE FOR THE "WITHERS IS WHAT REMAINS OF JERGAL AFTER HE GAVE UP HIS POWER PORTFOLIOS TO THE DEAD THREE" THEORY, GUYS!
Gale: Yes. Well. Speaking of exploring theories. We ... we were going to Baldur's Gate anyway, yes? I mean, the elder brain's heading there and they have Duke Ravengard and there's the Harper base and Lae'zel's whole situation and needing to deal with Astarion's master and--
Alisaie: What do you want, Gale?
Gale: There's this bookshop in Baldur's Gate - I mean, more than a bookshop, though it is the apotheosis of bookshops, and--
Alisaie: Fine, yes, we can go shopping. I have a whole area's worth of junk that needs trading anyway. But can we at least get to camp first? Shadowheart's owed answers and I really just want a good solid meal.
Gale: Not sure how you can eat after having squelched through a meat cave the last few hours, but yes, of course.

🍇 How active in bed is your character? Do they like to lie there and take it or do they like to get the most bang for their buck?
🍉 What’s your character’s favorite kink?
For Sally!!
NSFW CHARACTER TRAIT MEME || ACCEPTING
Obligatory trigger warning for brief mentions of sexual assault. It’s not in depth, but it is important to characterization and understanding why Sally’s needs are what they are. Read at your own risk!
🍇 How active in bed is your character? Do they like to lie there and take it or do they like to get the most bang for their buck?
SALLY IS VERY ACTIVE, you’d think with the themeing of Sally being high femme that she may fall into the pillow princess territory, starfishing out and absorbing the loving while giving little in return. However you’d be wrong! Dead wrong!
Now, I will state for the record, Sally is active in two ways: the first is taking an active ‘dominant’ role in deciding the pace of sex, which I’ve mentioned before and will explain again below. But also in a simply physical aspect.
Now, regarding the dominant aspect: Sally needs to play an active ‘dominant’ role during sex for her own comfort and mental ease, and for the ease, pleasure and comfort of her partner.
Sex, is, well, it’s not easy for Sally. Her libido seems to fluctuate at some times being intense and troublesome, while other times she wonders if it’s left her entirely. The act itself and getting in the mood often leaves her feeling hyper vigilant and unsteady, and touch can be a double edged sword. Sometimes locations on her body are a hot zone for discomfort, where if you touch it, it’s almost as if you’ve burned her, she’ll recoil and smack your hand away and it’s all done. Other times it’s just… numb, she feels numbed out and distant, like pressing her fingers to tv static and tuning out the world around her.
It’s not a matter she is proud of, given the extremely rigid social roles assigned to women during sex of her time, nor is it something she advertises herself as. But it’s the reality for her: being inactive during sex and laying all of that trust on a partner isn’t feasible. She wishes it could be, that she could be the one laying back and receiving it all, trusting wholly in her partner and feeling comfortable with it all, old kinks, hungry touches, everything but the sexual trauma she has faced makes that feel impossible, if not very very difficult.
So, she’s active in the dominant and setting the pace of sex, but I would be remiss not to mention the other aspect in which Sally is active: the touch.
You see, Sally responds to the heat of passion and pleasure like a woman burned, while her partners seem to be a bowl of ice water to the sweltering heat that engulfs her from the inside out. She NEEDS to touch them, to entwine her body with theirs, she needs to pet them, to feel the curve of their jaw beneath her fingers, to sink her nails in the flesh of their back and pet over their torso and toy with the anatomy not in use. She needs to kiss and bite and lick and nuzzle. She needs to feel them in every part of her. Every sense drunk on their smell, taste and texture, especially when she feels comfortable and safe in their presence!
Now, I won’t lie, It can be difficult at times to get the right position, but she has to try and she will, try and try until she gets it right and they are left as a warm halo surrounding her, even long after the fun has ended!
🍉 What’s your character’s favorite kink?
Before or after she was murdered? Haha. Sally’s untimely fate and the actions of her killers proved to cause a significantly greater impact on pre-existing kinks than one may have anticipated!
Anywho, in terms of both pre and post death, Sally’s favorite kink would have to be either exhibitionism (in private, Sally gets off on the idea and knowledge that her partner is watching her and admiring her body— even getting off to it while she stands off doing something else,) or dirty talk!

⁕𓈒࣪ ART COMMISSIONS !!
✹ Hi Tumblr! My art commissions are open! ⋆
🧼. My commissions are pretty simple. But please make sure to read further for details on my specific commissions that I could not fit examples for into this small post. As well as what to expect from my general commissions. Please feel free to DM me here at anytime for the information on specialized and custom pricing commissions such as custom designs, png tuber models, and reference sheets. Make sure to view my terms of service before requesting a commission. ( They're very simple, don't worry! )
What details are included?
☁️. All of my commissions include clean line art, with some minimal line art recolor. Full color with my rendering style on all aspects of the coloring. As well as some minimal halftones for extra texture and highlight.
🍀. Any commission will be done in my current art style. I will not replicate another artist's style. But I am happy to edit anything that is incorrect, missing, or just not fitting the proper vibes when I send the draft for review. My chibi style is a bit reminiscent of vintage doodles mixed with animal crossing. These can be added into the corner of a commission for $5. The details may be simplified for chibi's to stay consistent with a chibi style.
🦑. My art process starts with a really rough posing sketch mixed with some references mashed together. From there I make a clean draft. I will send commissioners the draft with cleaned up anatomy, the facial expression / eye shape and placement, and the general hairstyle. I will not send any drafts before payment. But you may request a draft or progress update whenever, after payment. Then I will color and render and add any other final details. All commissions will be sent through email once completed and checked over again.
What do I need from you?
🐍. Below are things I require or recommend. I do suggest getting as much as you can out of this commission. I can come up with a LOT more with more ideas. Don't be nervous to propose something with a lot of references and concepts. I offer custom outfits for free within reason. Custom hairstyles are case by case. I can offer basic accessories for free. But any complex items I will need to study and learn to draw properly may cost extra. Make sure to include these details when you message me! I recommend a Pinterest board for inspo that I can look through.
✹ REQURED 𓈒࣪ .
🍧. At least one character image, Character skin tone color, Hair color, and Eye color. Outfit reference, or mood board if you want a custom look. I will not make you art of someone else's OC, it has to be your own. But I will accept a picrew. You'll just have to let me know of any changes you want from the picrew version. Images are preferable.
✹RECOMMENDED 𓈒࣪ .
🎹. A mood board with some outfit ideas if applicable. Hairstyle ideas if applicable. Any exact accessories or held items wanted. Fashion related to the OCs style (like visual kei) And any pose / expression examples or ideas. The more ideas you give me of the OCs personality or how you want them to react in their current pose / situation really helps! Example; The OC doesn't smile, so they should have a discontent look even though they're absolutely enjoying the heck out of a deluxe stack of pancakes.
Recent art examples below!
✹ But keep scrolling for payment info please! ⋆
I can also make custom OCS, reference sheets, outfit design sheets, png tuber models, printable OC paper dolls, animal crossing designs of your pets/furry OC's!
Payment information!
🐚 PayPal ⋆ Venmo ⁕ Cashapp ⋆ 🧶
🪲. Payment is expected either entirely up front. Or with half paid before I start the draft, and the rest paid before the draft is sent. I will not send any completed work without payment. I accept the above payment types! I prefer Venmo but will not complain about any of them.
🥛. I will send you the proper username or account info at the time of payment. I will provide 48 hours to pay, unless we discuss otherwise. If 48 hours pass and my request is ignored I will assume the commission is abandoned and scrap it.
🪱. CURRENT SLOTS FILLED 0/3
TERMS OF SERVICE
Until I can make an actual updated document lol! Bear with me! Sorry about how long this is.
Do not claim my art as your work. Especially not for profit! Do not trace or copy my work directly to claim it is your own. Please feel free to reference it as much as you'd like though.
Free personal use on all commissions, for commissioners only!
Do not use my work for profit. I do not offer commercial commissions. And I would charge a 300% charge for commercial use. Use for a profile is fine! If you use it on your twitch stream or similar online application that doesn't count. If it is used for merch, or paid goods of any kind that is breaking these terms of use. Please reach out to me for commercial projects.
Do not use my work in any sort of AI algorithm or database. Do not train any AI off of my work. I do not condone AI and see it as a complete waste of natural resources / human skill.
If a refund is requested I can only offer a refund for what I have not done yet. If I have done the draft I will keep half. If I have not started, you will get a full refund. If the commission is already completed no refund can be offered. Tips are absolutely not required! But they cannot be refunded.
If a commissioner is harassing me I will implement this refund policy. I will block the commissioner if necessary. I don't do this for any reason. Only for sexual harassment, inappropriate behavior, or constantly messaging me daily and getting more upset when it isn't done within two days. Please feel free to check in on the progress! But please just know it takes about a week or two to get my commissions done if I have nothing else going on. It will rarely be done in two days or less.
Please credit me if my art is used often for something like YouTube or Twitch. No need to credit for profile pictures or one off edits. Just consistent use on such platforms.

Select the Best Design for a Modular Kitchen

Source of Info: https://www.regalokitchens.com/blog/select-the-best-design-for-a-modular-kitchen
Introduction
In order to create a space that achieves a balance between beauty, usefulness, and performance, choosing the right modular kitchen layout is important. Knowing your space is the first step in deciding on a kitchen plan, which might include island, U-shaped, and L-shaped kitchens. Modular cooking areas provide customized options which guarantee durability and an organized appearance, ranging from smart storage solutions to modern materials like MDF, granite, and acrylic finishes. Task and background lighting, in specific, increase both looks and performance when done well. The performance of your kitchen can be further improved by adding smart appliances and customizing the layout to fit your requirements. Here at Regalo Kitchens, we are experienced in creating custom-built modular cooking spaces that combine modern design with practicality to increase the enjoyable experience and productivity of cooking.
Understand Your Space
Understanding the space you have available is the first step towards choosing the right modular kitchen layout. Since these kitchens are so flexible, they can be used in both small and big spaces. You have a few popular kitchen design options, depending on how the space is organized in:
L-Shaped Kitchen: This design, which fits between two opposing walls and provides necessary work surface area and effective workflow, is perfect for open areas.
U-Shaped Kitchen: Large kitchens benefit greatly from this arrangement, which provides more counter space and cabinets for more storage choices.
Parallel or Galley Kitchen: With two counters placed next from one another, this design increases effectiveness and is perfect for small areas.
Island Kitchen: An island arrangement turns a large kitchen into a social hub by adding more surface area for eating, preparing, or cooking.
Prioritize Functionality
In terms of modular kitchen, functionality and style are both equally important. When a kitchen with modular components is well-designed, it allows an effective workflow known as the "work triangle." For best performance and reduced movement, the three primary work zones—cooking (stove), washing (sink), and storage (refrigerator)—should be arranged in a triangle.
Choose the Right Materials
The materials you choose will have a major impact on the durability and aesthetics of your modular kitchen. The main elements that need careful material selection are cabinets, countertops, and tiles:
Cabinets: The basis of any modular kitchen is its cabinets. Materials with different levels of durability and attractiveness include plywood, solid wood, and MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard). Membrane, acrylic, and laminate finishes are easy to maintain while adding style.
Countertops: Select a material that will stand up to heat and stains while also looking well with the whole pattern. Marble, quartz, and granite are common options. Every material has special qualities; marble feels everlasting and luxurious, while granite is incredibly durable.
Backsplashes: The tiled back splash has functional and decorative uses. Glass, ceramic, or stone tiles are examples of materials that may both offer a burst of color or texture to your modular kitchen concept and protect your walls.
Consider Lighting
Although sometimes ignored, good lighting is a key part of the design of a modular kitchen. The whole appearance and mood of the kitchen can be changed with the use of job, natural, and decorative lighting.
Task lighting: Task lighting, which is directed at work areas such as the stove, sink, and countertop, makes sure that there are no shadows in your way while you work.
Ambient lighting: This is the overall lighting in the kitchen, and it should be dim yet enough to light the entire area.
Accent lighting: Adding accent lighting improves your modular kitchen by drawing attention to specific details like cabinets or decorative elements.
Include Smart Appliances
An smart appliance-free modern modular kitchen is an absolute loss. Smart refrigerators and built-in microwaves are just two examples of how adding technology into your kitchen can greatly enhance its functionality. In today's customized kitchen designs, smart ovens, dishwashers, and lighting systems with smartphone app control are popular options.
Customization for Personal Touch
Customization is one of the main benefits of modular kitchen layouts. Everything can be customized to fit your unique tastes and way of life, including countertop heights, cabinet designs, and storage options. Regalo Kitchens provides a wide range of customisable choices that allow you to design a kitchen that fulfills your functional demands and expresses your individual style.
Conclusion
It's important to carefully think about space, usefulness, materials, lighting, and personal tastes when selecting the right design for your modular kitchen. Regalo Kitchens is fully dedicated to offering custom solutions that perfectly combine design and usefulness since we understand how unique every kitchen is. You can create a kitchen that not only looks amazing but also improves your quality of life on a daily basis by choosing the right supplies and design.

Evaluation
In this very last blog post I am going to evaluate my work based on many factors I have set for myself. As I look back on my major project, I’m really pleased with how it turned out, both in terms of how it looks and how it functions. My goal was to create a world that’s visually appealing and technically solid, and I feel like I achieved that. The color choices and the types of assets I used really brought the two versions of Solark to life, helping to tell the story I wanted to share.
What Went Well
I’m particularly proud of how I handled the UV unwrapping. I focused on texel density, which might sound very technical, but it just meant that the textures on my models look sharp and detailed, even up close. That extra effort paid off, especially since I also kept the models low-poly, to an optimisation degree that ensures a game runs smoothly without losing visual quality if these assets are used.
Getting feedback from other artists was another big plus. I kept asking for feedback and input from my fellow 3D artists friends which kept my work's quality in check. I also posted my work in Discord servers and got valuable advice from others. Not to forget the weekly feedback sessions from both the workshop and personal one-on-one tutorial. This outside input helped me make the right adjustments and confirmed that I was on the right path. I tried submitting my final video to the Dinusty Discord server as participation in their solarpunk two-months challenge, but did not get much interaction. So, I turned to a different Discord server which my previous instructor set up for both students and alumni like me to post finished work and get feedback. I got some good advice from another 3D artist regarding my cinematics and camera transitions which was very insightful.
Evaluation by comparison
When I compare my work to some of the games I admire, I think it stands up pretty well. For example, the grass I created feels similar in quality to the grass in "Immortals Fenyx Rising." While their grass is excellent, I’m happy with how mine turned out detailed, vibrant, and fitting well within the stylised look of the environment.
As for the lighting and atmosphere, I aimed to create a mood similar to what developers created for the game "Journey". While "Journey" is famous for its beautiful lighting, I think I captured a similar vibe, especially in the Wasteland of Awala which resembles the desert in Journey. The way the light interacts with the environment adds depth and really helps to highlight the differences between the two worlds.
I also compared my assets to ones made by game studios. For example I compared my airship/quadcopter asset to the spaceship in "Journey to the Savage Planet." The spaceship in that game is highly detailed and has a unique style that stands out. My airship, while different in design, holds up well in terms of art style and functionality. The level of detail I achieved in my model matches the quality expected in a game-ready asset, making it a solid addition to my project.
Areas for Improvement
Of course, there are always things that could have been done better. My texture channels, for example, weren’t as efficient as they could have been. Looking back, I realize that using trim sheets or atlases would have been a smarter choice, especially for optimising the game environment.
I also think I could have done more with LUTs (lookup tables) and HDRI to texture the assets. This would have helped everything blend come out better in Unreal Engine, giving the project a more polished look. Additionally, relying more on procedural content generation could have reduced the amount of manual work I had to do, saving me time and effort.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I’m happy with how the project turned out. I achieved my goals and project deliverables, and created a cinematic piece that looks good aesthetically and works well technically in evoking emotions. At the same time, I learned a lot about areas where I can improve, and these lessons will definitely help me in future projects.

SICK DAY — SPENCER REID!
Stubbornness is both your greatest strength and your greatest weakness, but there’s always going to be one person with enough leeway to force you into what’s best.
s6!spencer x cold!reader h/c? 2.3k cold!reader masterlist.
cw— fem!reader, mentions of reader being nauseous, readers a little harsh to spencer at some points but she gives in eventually as always
a/n— so it’s been a month— sorry 😭
main masterlist.
Pain medication was always a last resort.
It was another apparent quirk of your character, a mindset that said to ‘tough it out’ unless you literally felt like you were on your deathbed and couldn’t continue without some chemical help.
Although, when you’re in the middle of flu season, backed up to no end, and feel like your throat is literally going to collapse into your oesophagus, you find yourself considering the torment of the disgusting powdery texture just to give you some short-term relief.
The chills were the worst part, feeling so hot yet so cold and literally shivering to the point where you felt like you couldn’t even stand upright without falling over.
But yet, there was still work to be done, and whilst you did spend an extra few minutes staring at your medicine cabinet, you decided to leave your house unmedicated, praying desperately that you’d feel alright by lunch.
By the time you’d parked your car and ridden up the elevator, you were still feeling like absolute shit, and the way you practically collapsed into your office chair was enough to warn the rest of the team that you were not in the mood for any of their usual shenanigans today.
If you had a short patience on a good day, someone so much as breathing too close to you would get you to snap this morning.
It was like someone had stuffed cotton inside your ears and covered your eyes in a misty film, and once the first half-hour had passed you were genuinely considering falling asleep at your desk.
Of course, even in your grumbled state, there was always going to be someone who didn’t take the hint you wanted to be left alone.
“Are you okay?”
It was Spencer, of course. You lifted your head just enough to glare at him, but the effect was somewhat ruined by the way your eyes struggled to focus. “Do I look okay to you?” you muttered, your voice raspy and weak.
“Well, no,” he admitted, his brow furrowing in concern and a little bit of apprehension. “I have some Tylenol in my bag if you want.”
“Absolutely not.”
“Why not?” Spencer frowns. “The acetaminophen can reduce fevers and lower the discomfort, especially if you get that pounding headache behind your eyes, and the phenylephrine hydrochloride can clear up some of the nasal congestion. Besides, the cough suppressant will make it so that you don’t feel like you have to cough every two minutes.”
You drag your palms over the skin of your cheeks with a groan. “I don’t want any painkillers, I’ll be fine.”
"But you look horrible," he tells you softly and moves to rest against your desk, sighing as he does. "You can barely even sit up straight. You're going to end up more tired if you try to push yourself when you're already not feeling well.”
It’s these very small, very specific instances that make a lingering trace of regret surface in the back of your mind for allowing Spencer so much leeway with your patience. The fact that he could continue to push and prod at you when you were clearly not in the mood to deal with it. “Just leave me alone, Reid, I’m fine,”
"But–"
Spencer is cut off by a particularly heavy cough that racks your body, and his gaze darkens. As much as he wants to respect your decision, he can see you're not okay. He can see how tired you are, how much pain you're in, and it's not something he can brush off.
"I'm sorry," he murmurs, and the concern in his voice taking over his usual hesitance. "You're not fine."
As if to punctuate his statement, you cough again, and this time Spencer can’t help but flinch and grimace at the sound. It’s raw and harsh, like your throat has been scraped and set on fire, and he knows it must be hurting badly.
"I'm getting the Tylenol," Spencer mutters, not giving you time to protest as he turns towards the kitchenette with a determined set to his jaw.
“I don’t want it—”
Spencer ignores your continued dismissal and returns a couple of minutes later, brandishing a small, white bottle of acetaminophen. He pops off the cap, tapping three small tablets into the palm of his hand and offering them to you.
"Please," he murmurs, his face pleading. "Just take these. I don't want to sit back and watch you suffer."
“They taste like shit,” You push Spencer’s hand away with a shake of your head, “I’d rather die,”
The idea of you dying, even if you’re clearly exaggerating, makes Spencer’s heart twist painfully. It isn’t just a professional or a friendly concern anymore - it’s a personal one. He cares about you, too much for his own good.
“Please take them,” Spencer pleads again, his voice soft and his expression desperate. “I don’t care if they taste like… like dirt, or… I don’t know. They’ll help."
“The texture makes me want to puke,” You give another determined shake of your head. “There’s no way.” The end of your sentence is more of a groan, words drawling on uncomfortably as you speak through the need to clear your throat.
Spencer’s frown deepens, and his gaze drops at the groan of pain.
“You’re in so much pain,” he murmurs, his voice laced with guilt, “What was it you said to me when my migraines got so bad that I collapsed in the briefing room? ‘Something is always better than nothing’?”
“Don’t guilt trip me right now,”
“It’s hardly a guilt trip if you need to hear it,” Spencer responds, his tone almost biting with how much he’s struggling to keep in the turmoil swirling inside him.
His need to help you is overwhelming, but the knowledge that he can’t do anything just keeps feeding the guilt and frustration. It makes him feel worthless. “Why don’t you… crush them into your tea? Then you can sip it slowly and you won’t even taste it,”
“Spencer, I’m being serious,” There’s an air of finality in your tone, joined by you pressing the heels of your hands into your closed eyes with sigh. “Just leave me be, will you?”
“No.” The word is short, firm and spoken with a cold conviction. Nothing about him has changed in the space of a moment - he's still the same gentle, kind, awkward genius that you know. But the expression on his face is one that you've never seen before. An almost possessive determination in the lines of his features, a flicker of an emotion he usually hides away under the polite, genial exterior.
His gaze is locked firmly on you as he mutters. “Not when you’re being a hypocrite,”
“Spencer.”
Spencer falls silent as he stares at you, his jaw clenched and a flicker of stubbornness passing across his features. But his expression is still gentle, softer than his tone.
“You’re in pain,” he murmurs. “So please let me put some Tylenol in your tea, even if it’s just one.”
“Will it make you leave me alone?”
Spencer nods a little too quickly at the small break in your dismissal.
“Fine,”
Spencer lets out a silent sigh of relief, some of the tension seeping from his frame. He nods, his gaze softening as he murmurs one last time. “Thank you.”
After crushing three of the small tablets into some plain tea, Spencer places the mug on the coaster left on your desk, before quietly returning to his own work. He keeps his gaze trained on you for a few moments at a time, but is careful to give the impression of staying focused on his own files.
He watches as you periodically take slow sips from your drink over the next half an hour, trying to bypass the taste to placate Spencer’s ‘paranoia’ and let the steam clear out the congestion in your sinuses.
Then, within an hour of your initial conversation, Spencer takes another momentary glance across his desk towards you, only to be met with the top of your head.
You’d fallen asleep against your desk.
It’s almost surreal, to see you in such a tranquil state. It always felt like he was seeing something he shouldn’t when you were like that. Like this.
But it wasn’t unwelcome by any means.
He doesn’t realise how long he’s actually been watching you until JJ appears, her hands on her hips and an amused sparkle in her gaze.
“You’re not being very sneaky are you?” she says with a quiet chuckle, the sound making Spencer tear his gaze from you, his cheeks heating up as embarrassment. “You’re lucky she’s not awake, she’s rip you to shreds,“
“I-I’m just concerned.” He tries weakly to defend himself, looking anywhere but at JJ. His embarrassment only intensifies as she chuckles again and pats him gently on the shoulder.
“What, no denial that you’re staring?” she teases, a knowing smirk on her lips. Spencer simply huffs, ducking his head, but JJ can’t help but laugh again. “It’s sweet, Spence. You’re sweet,”
Spencer finally looks up at JJ’s words, his embarrassment replaced by surprise at the sincerity in her tone. He ducks his head again, his cheeks flushing even brighter. “Thanks,” he mutters, his tone soft and bashful. They fall into a comfortable silence, watching your sleeping form for a few moments before Spencer looks back up at JJ. “Is it that obvious?”
“About as obvious as a neon sign,” JJ replies with a light chuckle, the fondness in her tone clear as she glances over at your desk. “You’re smitten,”
“That’s…” Spencer trails off, his cheeks flushing again. He doesn’t know how to respond—JJ is right, but it doesn’t make it any less mortifying to hear. “That’s a very unsubtle way of putting it,” he mutters eventually, hiding his embarrassment under a layer of feigned offense.
“What can I say? You’re very unsubtle,” JJ grins, clearly not taking Spencer’s feigned offense seriously. But she lets it slide, her expression softening as she looks back to your sleeping form.
“You’ve got it bad, Spence. I hope you realise that,”
Spencer lets out a soft groan and buries his burning cheeks in his hands, his embarrassment only intensifying. JJ’s words are a truth that he already knows. He knows he’s infatuated, hopelessly so, but it doesn’t make it any less mortifying to hear it. “Please just shut up,” he groans, lifting his head to glance pleadingly at JJ.
JJ chuckles lightly again but relents, her teasing giving way to a gentle fondness. She looks back to your form, then glances over to Spencer, a small smile tugging at her lips. “Why don’t you take her home?” she suggests, “she clearly needs the rest, and she’ll probably appreciate the ride more than you hovering over her desk.”
Spencer blinks, his features softening. He didn’t even consider that option. Maybe it wasn’t so presumptuous to offer you a ride home.
Although he didn’t drive into work, and you did. So he’d somehow have to work your car keys from you.
“How would I do that?” Spencer asks, his tone a mix of confusion and amusement. He’s still not quite over the mortification of realising how badly he’s been pining over you, but now his focus is shifting to how best to take care of you.
JJ sighs, rolling her eyes. “Don’t be dense. Wake her up and offer her a ride home. Ask for her keys. It’s not that complicated, genius,”
“There’s no way she’ll agree to that,” Spencer shakes his head, his gaze shifting back to your sleeping form nervously.
“When has she ever really said no to you?” There’s a glint of knowing in JJ’s gaze as she tilts her head at him, and he almost implodes at the implication.
“That’s—” Spencer sighs, turning his attention back to you.
He knows he should wake you, but he wants to let you rest as much as possible—what if the pain wakes you up again, and you can’t fall back asleep? Or maybe he’s just making excuses to watch you sleep for a little longer, which feels a little bit stalker-ish.
“Alright just—” Spencer holds up his hand in what’s basically a show of surrender as he looks back at JJ over his shoulder. “I’ll— just give me a minute,”
JJ does nothing but give a short laugh with a nod, surrendering her hands in front of her before walking off towards the kitchenette, amusement written all over her face.
God, he probably sounds like an idiot. He probably looks like an idiot.
Spencer presses his hands to his cheeks to try and quell the burning sensation lingering underneath his skin, but it does nothing other than make his inner turmoil more obvious.
The way his heart rate accelerates as you shift your forehead against your forearm doesn’t help.
He really should wake you up and take you home.
But watching you sleep for a few more minutes wouldn’t hurt anyone, right?
