I'm gonna answer this one honestly. You're gonna have to figure how to not be ashamed on your own. I make the conscious decision to love my body every single day, and this extends beyond being fat. Every part of me is a source of disgust or shame for others- I'm a transsexual woman, I'm extremely visibly disabled, and I also happen to be kinda fat. I'm not ashamed because like, don't you see how beautiful I am? Not in spite of, but because of these qualities. I certainly do.

There's no secret to unlearning your shame. You have to decide consciously and constantly. Recognize the hypocrisy. Understand how anti-intellectual it is. Read books about it. Hang out with fat people. Pay sex workers. Touch your own body. And, when you ask me about shame, know that I see your disgust. Internalized fatphobia isn't exclusive- it's an extension of external fatphobia too. If you think your own fat body is gross, then by extension you think mine is gross too. And I won't have that. Fatphobia is structural, not conditional. If you're going to enjoy my content, you have to do so critically, and understand that you have to act this way about yourself too. It's good for ya.
