Honestly I think a lot of people who have never made a gif for tumblr don't get that it does actually take time and effort, its not just rip it from a video and post it- you have to download the video, in my case I have a video player installed that grabs continuous caps, figure out what parts you need, you have to open those in photoshop or gimp, depending on where you got photoshop you might be paying for it every month and then on top of that is actually sizing, cropping, colouring, sharpening, adding text, etc. etc. like it is something that takes time and effort for which the only real reward is creating something that makes you happy and hopefully people reblog it with a nice or funny tag, so maybe keep that in mind the next time you think gif makers are being mean or unfair for being upset about reposts. It is its own little artform that is fairly unique to this website, and that's a big aspect of why I have always loved tumblr, if all the gifmakers stopped posting things would be a lot more boring around here.

"Playable beta builds of Halo 1 just dropped today, from before the game became an FPS"
"The Halo MCC Digsite team, which restored major cut Halo content for 343 Industries for FREE, just had all of their unreleased content leaked. Previously, many Digsite members left the team because they can’t afford to continue without being paid and disagreements with Microsoft. It’s a sad situation because the Digsite team worked very hard to make cut Halo content playable in MCC without getting paid and now many members aren’t returning."
"Two former Digsite members commented on the situation. One says they couldn’t justify what Halo Studios was expecting of them without being paid and don’t agree with how Halo Studios views/manages the community. As stated above, there were disagreements with Microsoft too. The other says they left because half the team couldn’t afford rent or food because of the amount of unpaid work."
"A current Halo Studios employee who works with the Digsite team commented on the situation: “There will almost certainly no longer be any further work of this kind.”"

you can really tell the different audience demographics of Lifesteal vs Hermitcraft by the comment sections because the average spokeishere or whatever comment is like “LIKE THIS if you are a real Spoke fan!!! ❤️👊😎 if this comment gets 100 LIKES ill tell my mom to subscribe 🤪 who else is watching in 2028❓❓😂” whilst the average ethoslab comment is like “my wife is giving birth but this is more important”

I think Nations are generally stronger than the average human. If an adult male can carry up to 80kgs without too much difficulty, a fully grown Nation can do around 3x that amount, no matter their gender.
Alfred is an abberation in that he could carry animals that weigh at LEAST 400kg as a child. This has nothing to do with the US' status as a superpower because it's been that way since he was a child (and also because my headcanon doesn't connect the Nations with their countries in that way).
Without delving too deep as to why, I've always liked the idea of Alfred's increased strength coming with a few caveats -
1) As he's gotten older, his strength has acquired limitations it never had when he was a child - the main one being that using it requires energy. If he wants to be able to lift a car, he absolutely can, but he needs to eat a lot, otherwise his blood sugar will crash. Alfred eats a lot and constantly, and this is part of the reason (the other part is that food is delicious).
2) Alfred is so used to relying on his strength, it's become his weakness without him even realising it.
Alfred views exercise the same way most modern humans view it: he exercises to stay healthy. He hikes, he bikes, he plays sports, and if he thinks he's gained weight he promises himself he'll go to the gym (he doesn't).
Nations like Arthur, Ivan, Erzsebet and Gilbert - to name a few - who don't have super strength, hone their bodies into weapons with purpose. I love to imagine (for many reasons) a sweaty Arthur, hands wrapped in boxing gauze and wearing a tank top ... erm. Punching stuff. I distracted myself there. ANYWAY. They're incredibly disciplined about maintaining their skills and fitness.
Alfred is reliant on his super strength. If it disappears one day, he's actually a lot less capable of defending himself than he thinks.

Shadow animatic
Tumblr media
Another work in progress from my drafts .
This is my first time trying something like this so criticism and advise are appreciated!
( I tried using blender, krita and open toons for this but failed miserably. So especially advise from people who have experience animating or editing would be amazing
In the end I drew the frames by themselves on clip studio and put them together in shotcut. Probably not the most ideal way but it felt more intuitive? Idk )
For now it’s just the first verse but I actually planned out the rest of the song already.
Also, just to avoid confusion, this song is actually a love song but I’m gonna remove one verse, so I can use it to show more about how shadow deals with his grief for Maria and what role his friends play in this process. (Shadow x Maria Shippers DO NOT INTERACT!!)
The last frame is based on this screenshot btw:

Does anyone remember the old crack video era? Where people used to make funny/silly edits of their favourite media, combined with transitions showing some kind of error screen or white noise or whatever?
Yeah I want to revive that, so I am working on one for RE4 because the fandom barely has any and I feel like that’s a huge missed opportunity.
