For the first time in a while, BOB is furious. At himself, but furious nonetheless. When you were walking around town, hand in hand, he accidentally tripped you, sending you knees-first into the pavement. He immediately dropped down on his knees and made sure you were okay. When you assured him you were, he gently helped you to your feet and wiped the stray gravel away from your legs. They were a bit skinned and raw, bleeding just slightly, and he mentally punched himself. “I’m so sorry! I never meant to do that, geez, I’m way too clumsy.” Ever the caretaker, though, he has a solution. “Here, get on my back, honey. Don’t worry, I got you. Let’s go home so I can get you some neosporin and band-aids.”

ROOSTER is always careful yet confident with his movements, so when he feels your foot under his after he steps down unnecessarily hard, his eyes widen and he pulls back. “Did I just step on you? Shit, baby, I’m sorry.” Your wince is the only thing he needs to see before he’s kissing you on the forehead and apologizing more. “Sorry,” kiss, “sorry,” kiss, “really sorry,” kiss, “even more sorry,” kiss. He gets you giggling before you can even think to be mad at him— not like you ever could be, anyways. He always treats making you happy like his life’s only goal, not that you mind. You especially don’t mind when he presses a final kiss to your forehead and promises to make it up to you later.

When you show up to your date with HANGMAN, you have a slight limp, which he notices immediately. “What happened to you, hot stuff?” When you explain that you twisted your ankle while walking from your car to the restaurant, he almost laughs. “Really? Well then, that’s just an excuse for me to do this,” he grins, picking you up bridal style. He’s not too worried, because in the ten seconds you spent explaining your predicament to him, he noticed that your ankle was neither red nor swollen, most likely just tender. And yes, he does carry you for the rest of the night. Both of you can feel people staring at you, but when his strong hands are holding up your body and his lips are on yours, you can’t find it in yourself to care.

You’re stirring pasta sauce on your fresh, clean stovetop when your pot slips in your grip, causing the side of your hand to directly touch the scorching metal. You pull back immediately at the pain, hissing slightly. PHOENIX looks over her shoulder, putting down her knife. “You good?” When you tell her you are, in fact, not super good, she immediately turns the sink on cold and holds your hand under the running water. She presses a chaste kiss to the side of your head. “Got too hot, hm? You give a mock salute and she shakes her head, still smiling. Despite your best efforts, she doesn’t let you do any more work for the rest of the night; not even when the cooking is done.

March’s full Moon is often called the Worm Moon. It was thought this name referred to the earthworms that appear as the soil warms in spring.

However, In the 1760s, Captain Jonathan Carver visited the Naudowessie (Dakota) & other Native American tribes & wrote that the name Worm Moon refers to a different sort of “worm”—beetle larvae—which begin to emerge from the thawing bark of trees & other winter hideouts at this time.

Ostara gets it's name from Eostre, however the celebration isn't based on her even though she is said to be interpreted as the goddess of spring, fertility & the dawn. There is very little information on Eostre and none have shown up before the eighth century because of disagreements on she had Celtic or Germanic origins.

People tend to believe Ostara is an ancient holiday at it's core with an ancient goddess, but that may not be the truth. While most gods & goddesses have many myths & stories surrounding them, the same cannot be said about Eostre

It is still up for debate whether or not this goddess ever existed or if she was revered & celebrated the ways she's been in the more recent years.

•Like many other spring celebrations in other cultures, Ostara symbolizes fertility, rebirth & renewal. This time of year marking the beginning of the agricultural cycle when farmers would start planting seeds.

  There is no evidence that the ancient Greeks or Romans celebrated Ostara, although they did celebrate their own spring festivals, such as the Roman festival of Floralia & the Greek festival of Anthesteria. It was a time to honor the returning sun, fertility & rebirth.

Nowruz marks the first day of spring & renewal of nature. It is celebrated on the day of the astronomical vernal equinox. It is also celebrated as the beginning of the new year by people all around the world for over 3,000 years in the Balkans, the Black Sea Basin, the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Middle East & other regions.

Holi originated & is predominantly celebrated in the Indian subcontinent, but has also spread to other regions of Asia & parts of the Western world through the Indian diaspora.

The festival has many purposes; most prominently, it celebrates the beginning of spring. In 17th century literature, it was identified as a festival that celebrated agriculture, commemorated good spring harvests & the fertile land. It's believed to be a time to enjoying spring's abundant colours & say farewell to winter. To many Hindus, Holi festivities mark an occasion to reset & renew ruptured relationships, end conflicts, & rid themselves of accumulated emotional impurities from the past

It also has a religious purpose, symbolically signified by the legend of Holika. The night before Holi, bonfires are lit in a ceremony known as Holika Dahan (burning of Holika) or Little Holi. People gather near fires, sing & dance. The next day, Holi, also known as Dhuli in Sanskrit, or Dhulheti, Dhulandi or Dhulendi, is celebrated.

•Easter: April 20th-

Also called Pascha or Resurrection Sunday, is a Christian festival & cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD. It is the culmination of the Passion of Jesus Christ, preceded by Lent (or Great Lent), a 40-day period of fasting, prayer, & penance.

Easter traditions vary across the Christian world & include sunrise services or late-night vigils, exclamations & exchanges of Paschal greetings, flowering the cross & the decoration and the communal breaking of Easter eggs (a symbol of the empty tomb) among many others. The Easter lily is a symbol of the resurrection in Western Christianity traditionally decorates the chancel area of churches on this day & for the rest of Eastertide. Additional customs that have become associated with Easter & are observed by both Christians & some non-Christians include Easter parades, communal dancing, the Easter Bunny & egg hunting.

• Festival of Luna: March 31st-

Is a feast day honoring the Goddess Luna who is seen as the divine embodiment of the Moon.

The Temple of Luna was a temple on the Aventine Hill in Rome, dedicated to Luna, the moon goddess. Its dedication was celebrated on March 31st, thus the celebration.

According to Tacitus, it was built by king Servius Tullius. However, the first confirmed reference to a temple to Luna dates to 182 BC & refers to one of its doors being knocked off its posts by a miraculous blast of air & shot into the back of the Temple of Ceres. That account probably places the temple at the north end of the hill, just above porta Trigemina. The temple was struck by lightning around the time of the death of Cinna, as was the temple of Ceres. After the destruction of Corinth, Lucius Mummius Achaicus dedicated some of his spoils from the city to this temple. It was destroyed in the Great Fire of Rome in 64 AD & not rebuilt.

I wanted to try my hand at some quick redesigns, so here's Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker!

NM is based on the bat ponies, now having bat wings rather than alicorn wings. She has a darker mane/tail with bright blue stars, and uses Luna's colours as the base coat as opposed to being all black. Her cutie mark is also changed to represent a new moon or eclipse. I wanted it to feel like Luna was still the base or host for NM.

DB is less specific, her mane/tail is shorter than before and flares up with her emotions, her coat is more yellow and orange and her wings are darker on their underside, meant to resemble those of a phoenix. Her armor is changed to be sharper/more offensive, and her cutie mark is changed to resemble something like a solar flare.

Beys and Thunder

Lightning and thunder hold a significant place in Metal Fight Beyblade when it comes to emphasizing the power of a character or an antagonist, particularly Ryuga.

During his awakening, we see the weather slowly changing, with clouds forming in the sky and lightning striking. This builds up until thunder fully rages during his match with Gingka in episode 13 (he even used it for his special move). This trend continues, notably during Ryuga’s surprise appearance at the end of the Survival Battle and when he battled 100 bladers.

Considering that his Bey was named Lightning L-Drago and his status as the Forbidden Bey, this is only fitting. However, Ryuga didn’t lose this supernatural traits even after abandoning the dark power, as seen in his numerous flashy entrances later in the series.

This is especially notable given that, in the past, people explained natural phenomena like lightning and solar eclipses as the work of gods or other supernatural beings. Zeus is famous for wielding lightning. Fittingly, this element is highlighted by Jade Jupiter, whose special move is Grand Lightning. Coincidentally, its blader, Dynamis, seems to possess supernatural abilities, such as showing the past through illusions. I should also mention that Ryuga himself seems to have the ability to teleport.

As a result, this imagery helps establish Ryuga as a force of nature—someone closely linked to the supernatural, almost god-like or idolized. This fits well with his actions in Metal Fusion, where he absorbs the power or life force of his opponents as if it were an offering or a human sacrifice. Daidouji also treats Ryuga with deep respect, almost as if venerating him, and he is the one who provides Ryuga with the resources needed to grow stronger.

Interestingly, Daidouji’s hair resembles lightning, with his frontal bang shaped like a thunderbolt. This ties him to Ryuga and L-Drago, as well as to the supernatural elements of the show. After all, he was deeply involved with Nemesis and the Hades cult. It is also worth mentioning his uncanny abilities, which were revealed during his fight with Phoenix, something he had been intentionally hiding.

Masamune has a somewhat similar hairstyle to Daidouji, particularly his red bang. His special moves also involve lightning: Lightning Sword Flash with Ray Unicorno and Flash of Lightning with Blitz Unicorno.

Similarly, Ryuto, who is a member of Ryuga's Dragon Clan, uses lightning in his special move Hammer Bolt.

Lightning and thunder are also an easy way to display the power of a Bey, as seen when Nemesis alone can disturb the weather and climate across the entire Earth.

Asha’s body is in a constant state of unstable solar fusion, making her a walking cosmic anomaly. Unlike traditional fire or plasma users, her energy manifests in an erratic solar field that makes her untouchable to most living beings.

Solar Energy Absorption & Manipulation

Converts sunlight into raw thermal and energetic power.

Stores and channels solar energy, granting enhanced strength and durability.

Can release solar plasma bursts for offensive attacks.

Capable of flight via thermal propulsion.

Lethal Contact

Any direct skin-to-skin contact with organic matter instantly vaporizes it due to molecular disintegration.

Exception: Alex Summers (Havok), whose energy field neutralizes hers, making him the only person she can touch safely.

Thermal Immunity

Completely resistant to heat, fire, and extreme temperatures.

Can walk through flames and solar storms without harm.

You’re her escape. When Natasha presses her lips to the column of your neck, your hands carding through her loose hair, it’s like nothing else in the world matters. She can pull you close, feeling your heartbeat against her own as her hand slips down underneath your panties. She can shiver under the heat of your quickening breath. She can pull sounds from your lips that no one else has ever managed to. The best part is that when you’re a mess underneath her, she can’t think of anything but you.

She has a lot to distract herself from, currently. Every training session pushes her harder and every additional deployment seems to become longer and tougher. Everything in her screams bloody murder when she stops to think about the work she’s doing and the lives that are at risk. It certainly doesn’t help that her father just passed away, right before she met you.

When she saw you in that bar, with your dress just short enough to get her riled up and heels just high enough to make you look unbearably sexy, she knew she needed to get in your pants. Unfortunately for you, your pants were the only thing she wanted. You were just what she needed to distract herself.

Natasha walked up to you as you were ordering a drink from the woman behind the counter, who you later learned was named Penny. She nodded to Penny and purred, “Put that on my tab.”

You turned around, eyebrows slightly furrowed in a way that made Natasha’s pulse pump faster. “Hello.” You weren’t mad that this gorgeous woman had just forcibly paid for your drink, but you were more wondering why.

“Hey.” She pulled a stool close to you and sat down, her thigh sliding between the gap in your own. “What’s a beautiful woman like you doing all alone?” Ah, flirting.

The line was cheesy and the both of you knew it, but it didn’t stop a broad smile from working its way up your face. “Waiting for another beautiful woman to sit down next to me. Now that you’re here, I think that goal has been checked off.”

You fell head over heels that night.

When she’s taking you apart with her mouth, fingers, anything, your heart stutters her name. She’s so giving, like her entire goal is to make your legs shake so badly she’ll have to carry you to the bathroom. The few times she’s allowed you to touch her, feel her, kiss her, and press your own fingers into her warmth, you feel like this is what you want to do for the rest of your life.

Natasha is gorgeous and fiery and bold, but never once has she made you feel unsafe. It’s like she’s completely in tune with everything that makes you tick— everything that you so hopelessly need.

Despite this, despite how desperately you want her to stay, she always leaves. It’s a ritual at this point; you have sex, she kisses you on the forehead, she dresses and uses the bathroom, and then walks out the door without so much as a glance backwards. You feel yourself breaking every single time.

“Natasha,” you whisper, pulling your bedsheets up to cover your exposed chest, “can you stay? Please, just this once.”

She turns around, already clothed. The look in her eyes is hard, like bedrock that hasn’t been dug up. Your gaze is sad in comparison. “I can’t.”

The lights in your room are dim. They soften her features, and as you reach to pull a shirt over your head, you almost believe that her expression may turn sweet yet. Almost.

“Why not?” You question. God, she thinks, you’re making this so hard. She can’t stay. If she stays, she won’t be able to come back again. Don’t you understand that? If she forms one more connection, one more goddamn person that she cares about, she thinks she might shatter.

She watches you pull up a pair of shorts, too, over your new, clean underwear. “Because I can’t. It’s better if we never cross that line, okay? We can fuck, but anything more than that just won’t work out.”

“And why is that, Nat? Do you just not like me enough to have a real relationship?” She can hear the challenge in your voice.

“Don’t call me that.” She states, opening your bedroom door with the intention to leave. “I can’t do anything serious.”

There’s anger pooling in your stomach. You understand not wanting a relationship, trust me, you do. But her tone is taut with curtness, like she doesn’t want to waste words on you. Like she never viewed you as a person, just a warm body. “And I can’t do what we’ve been doing anymore. I want you, Natasha, and if we’re just going to fuck around without ever finding out, I’m done.”

“Then we’re done.” She says simply. You feel something inside of you snap.

“Why is it that you just want me to play with? I thought there was at least some sense of care. I’m… I’m not going to stop you, but I need a reason.”

She sighs, turning around to face you. It’s night outside, far past the hour that anyone should be driving. Far past the hour that people should leave by. “You, this, what we’ve been doing sedates shit. Sex sedates shit. It’s an escape, alright? If I start actually liking you, that distraction is gone, and I’ll have to go back to square one.” She spits. There’s a certain vulnerability in her expression, one you never noticed before. “I really need that escape right now.”

Her last sentence is quiet, almost whispered. You reach out to touch her, and she flinches away. “Is the stability of a relationship not enough of an escape?”

She shakes her head, tight-lipped.

“I just wish you had told me sooner.” You falter.

She crosses your house with ease, pausing just long enough to hear your words and reply. “If I had, would you still have fucked me?”

It hurts. It hurts so bad you think if your legs had been any weaker, they would have given out from the sheer weight of her words. She never liked you, never wanted you. It all but presses you into the floor. You reach around her to unlock your front door, eyes brimming with tears. “No.”

She hesitates before stepping out. “Then I’m glad we had fun while we could. You’ll find what you want someday.”

“I wanted it to be you.” You’re crying now, and she looks at you like you’re a puppy with footprints on its haunches. It’s pity, pure pity. She gives you one last kiss on the cheek.

“I never did.”

With that, she steps out into the night, and you watch her go. When she gets into her car and drives away, you close your door with your back and slide down its wood paneling.

Sobs wrack your body as you bring your knees up to your chest. She was what you looked forward to in the mornings, and you were what she looked forward to in the dead of night. For once, you yourself feel like you might need some sedation.

It’s too bad that your only shot at it just walked away.

Been a bit in the making, but i redesigned Phoenix (Eclipse v4) to fit better with the post-Mimic version of him, as well as laying out some new headcanons, which i will also type in text cuz of my chaotic handwriting on paper.

One of the more difficult things about this was trying to figure out where to have Puppet's hair be visible. I was inspired by a couple other designs i saw where Puppet's hair is visible on him in some form. My initial idea of him was that Puppet put her hair inside of him, but i didn't like that idea much, so I used this instead after a bit of debate with what i wanted to do with it. Puppet's hair is tied around Phoenix's shoulders. I'll also add some extra info to some of the headcanons to better make sense of how i see them.

Headcanons:

1. Phantom pain all over his body. Puppet's hair blocks out the worst of it. (He has times where he doesn't feel it at all, and even when he does, it's mainly a dull ache that doesn't vary much in intensity, and doesn't hinder his movement or ability to function. Reason i am not saying chronic pain is because the intensity doesn't vary that much. It remains mostly consistent. Annoying to him, but consistent. Going off what the show has shown so far. Eclipse doesn't seem very affected by his crushed endo, so i am going with this unless that changes)

2. His endo is still just as badly damaged as Mimic left it. (Ruin wants to properly fix him, but Eclipse still won't let Ruin that close to such a vulnerable spot. Yes, he still, very much has trust issues, and Mimic did not help that situation at all.)

3. His eyes have more gold than white as the incident brought out more Solar traits in him. (Past digital pieces i made depict Phoenix with golden eyes fading into white. Reason for that being because i still firmly believe Ruin made Ember/Phoenix (v3/v4) from that code he copied from Solar so long ago, and my Solar has golden eyes, and so does Ember in Sea and Sky, which would also be his true eye color if he had all of... well... Solar's memories in the main Stoked Embers AU. Because at Ember's core, he is a Solar, not really an Eclipse (as in the evil, vengeful types like v1/2 were. He has way more Solar mannerisms and traits, which carried over to v4). Ruin made tweaks to Phoenix to make him more Eclipse-like, by doing more proper implementation of Eclipse's memories, something that failed to happen with Ember. Ember was simply stuck with directives telling him how to behave and what to do. Phoenix doesn't have those. The white parts of his irises were leftover from Ember when he was killed, and the fact that Phoenix also doesn't have the full picture. However his eyes began to change to gold the more he grew and changed. He's behaving closer to Solar as time goes on and his eyes reflect that growth.)

4. He's a little nicer, but still very much Eclipse. (Self explanatory.)

5. He tries to hide Puppet's hair under his ruffles. Doesn't work very well. (He hates how weak it makes him look, knowing that's what's allowing him to be able to stand and move. The only other one who knows about this, besides Puppet ofc, is Ruin, but even if the others don't know, he doesn't like having it show.)

6. Of course he can't take her hair off or he'll be left as he was when Mimic was kicked out. (Not really a headcanon, it is canon.. but i'll throw it in anyways.)
