I just stumbled upon @ginovasims 's SOLAR SYSTEM LEGACY CHALLENGE yesterday, and when I tell you I've never been quicker to get into CAS... 🌌🚀

As someone who loves space, is obsessed with Sailor Moon, and has been playing The Sims for years, this was the perfect challenge for me to hop on!!

Without any other introduction, here's my challenge founder, "Mercury Stardust", who (you guessed it) represents the first gen in this challenge: (Side note: can we talk about how pretty of a name "Mercury" is??)

I am obsessed with her already and I cannot wait to play with her! 🤭

Maeko is a social butterfly! She loves making friends and has a personality that sticks her out from the rest! While she is quite social, she is also humble and stays connected with her roots. She’s supportive, though she often struggles with knowing what to say when conversations get more serious. She has many friends but only a few she’s very close to. While she’s dated a few people and has had romantic and intimate interactions with many more, she found her soulmate young and settled down by the time she became an adult.

Selene is Maeko’s wife with a knack for cooking! They first met at Maeko’s welcome to the neighborhood party and while Maeko was attempting to cook something up for the suprise party, Selene stepped in and helped her make a great dish! Cooking together is definitely their thing! Selene tries her hardest to make things perfect but she’s not afraid to relax and have fun when the occasion calls for it. While they both do their part in parenting, Selene is definitely the one who handles more of the straightforward tasks (e.g. bath time) while Maeko takes the lead in their emotional-behavioral education!

Hesperus Estelle

Son of Maeko and Selene

Named after one half of the planet Venus, the evening star, Hesperus is Maeko and Selene’s eldest son! He was an easy to handle infant and is very social! Taking after his namesake, he is a night owl but still manages to be get enough sleep for school in the morning. As he is a child, he is still developing a sense of personality and self.

Fria Estelle

Youngest Child of the Estelle Family

A namesake for Venus, Fria is Hesperus’ younger sister and the second child of Maeko and Selene! Fria has a distinct personality and was a very particular infant, often needing to be held to fall asleep and requiring her environment to be just right. While Fria did not grow out of that particularness, she presents it in a way that makes her alluring to others and is as social as her mother! Though her mother often developed close friendships, Fria prefers to know people but “not too well” and makes a habit of phasing friends in and out. While not close to those outside her family, she is extremely close to her parents and brother — or at least as close as siblings can be lmao. She only just started middle school and is still discovering herself as well!

I hope you enjoyed these character descriptions! I really love these sims and the save I started on a whim, so it was nice to actually flesh out their characters a bit more and get to know them! I still haven’t decided who will be the next generations heir, but that’s a decision for another day :)

SSLC - Mercury - Dating and Llamas!

Thursday, 1st week of fall. Year 1.

So much has happened again! The café is doing really well, and I’m seriously considering quitting my job to run it full-time. On the other hand, I do love writing for the newspaper. I just received another promotion, and with the next one, I’ll have to choose my path: author or journalist. I’m leaning towards journalist. Honestly, it’s a steady income that Donnie and I can rely on. The café’s earnings could fluctuate at any time, and while it’s fulfilling, it’s also exhausting—even with two employees! Felix is absolutely worth his weight in gold, and I’m thinking about giving him a raise. Beau is a typical teenager—often late, sometimes very hardworking, and on other days... well, bordering on lazy.

Oh, and for our lovely café guests, I invested in something special: two llamas, named Dolly and Beenie. They’re brilliant! I bonded with Dolly straight away, but Beenie is a bit shy. The guests adore them and take such good care of them—it really adds to the charm of the place.

Donnie and I took a little half-day holiday to Sulani. We had a wonderful time swimming, and I definitely got a bit sun-kissed! We also had another date at our restaurant in Brindleton Bay. The food was amazing, and even though I was absolutely knackered, I loved every minute we spent together.

And of course, last Thursday we had our usual Thursday Club gathering. We had a brilliant evening with Tikka Masala pizza (naturally), dancing, and watching telly. We could technically use the café’s space for our meetups, but honestly, I really need more living space—especially with the future in mind.

Once Donnie and I are married and J.D. moves in, we’ll need more room. And of course, we’re hoping to have more children. My plan is to build a barn in the same style as the house, and move the café into that space. Then we’ll expand and renovate the house to suit our growing family’s needs. I’ve decided that Donnie and J.D. will move in only after we’re officially married—it feels like the right thing for us.
