since dracula daily is approaching again I would like to remind everybody that hungarian paprika can cause stomach issues even among people who grew up on it (from personal experience), that's why we eat nearly every national dish with tons of sour cream and bread, which our good english heir was probably not informed of so he's basically destined to have a little bit of diarrhea after shoving down a whole plate of csirkepaprikás. not sure about the queer dreams tho, he should ask the Count about that

Chicken Tortilla Soup

Took the bus to Sembawang MRT Station for an early dinner at Kopitiam food court. I went for the Indonesia style Grilled Chicken Set with a grilled whole chicken leg in kecap manis or Indonesian sweet soy sauce and soup. The sides are curry vegetables and a fried egg with white rice. The chicken had a nice, charred flavour, smothered with savoury sweet black sauce.

Mum went off to queue for the Economy Rice (菜饭). She picked the following dishes for her cai png  - Har Cheong Gai (虾酱鸡) marinated in fermented shrimp paste and deep-fried, sweet & sour pork and Chinese cabbage stir-fry with white rice.

Eggtober 10th 2023

"Wisps": Hot and Sour Soup

(Clip Studio Paint, Gouache brush, Gouache Blender, some pencil brush detailing, circle tool for the bowl. 18 colors. About an hour.)

Cousin of the Egg Drop soup. I think the eggy wisps are properly referred to as "egg flowers" and that's cute as hell.

Anyway, hot and sour soup is that, only "what if we made it spicy and sour and also added more stuff?" One of my family's favorites. And a great way to eat tofu. Borderline vegan and tasty as hell. 10/10, would recommend.

Leaving it pleasantly warm for @lady-quen's breadbugs. Not hot. We don't want to cook the poor creatures. If a breadbug swims in your soup, does it become a dumpling bug? Or a noodle bug? We must explore this for science.
