I think the most fundamental thing I see people get wrong about nielan and their relationship in canon is that either they're treated like an emotionally blank canvas for Jin Guangyao to inject drama into, or if they are allowed to keep any of their emotional issues for themselves, it's often about Xichen pulling away and trusting other people more than Mingjue. (oh look this is secretly also just about jgy again) And what you need to understand about canon nielan is that the person who is pulling away and putting boundaries between them is mostly Nie Mingjue.
All I'm saying is that only one of these guys went "Work goes above saving your sworn brother's life" and it wasn't Xichen!
And it isn't because Mingjue doesn't like Xichen. That is his best friend, the person second only to his literal baby brother in terms of trust and closeness. But you can't really understand Nie Mingjue without understanding that he's not only doomed but committed to being doomed, and thereby comitted to his own depersonalization, and that that will come at the expense of his interpersonal relationships, because there are certain things he can't allow people to do for him because "what's right" must always come above his own wants and needs.
Xichen reaching out to other people never really comes at the expense of him reaching out to Mingjue as well, it's part of the constant balancing act he does. For as much time as he spends defending jgy to nmj we see him also spend an equally signifcant amount of time talking up nmj to jgy. It doesn't work but that's because of his methods, not for lack of effort. This isn't really about blame, both of them have deeply personal reasons to act as they do and both of their ways are... less than ideal, in the end. It's about understanding. There is a boundary of duty and position between nielan that recquires them to never truly be each other's priority and Nie Mingjue is the one most invested in enforcing it.

It has to be stated as a defiant position because despite there being "no need to inflict that boredom on other people - other artists," the boredom of a few re: actually doing art or respecting others' work was and still is inflicted on everyone through AI.
And for clarification:
"People who think the lack of autonomy is an interesting artistic statement"? Not when making art they don't. The statement can be about a lack of of autonomy, or about making things themselves despite constraints (which is how most forms of poetry function). Not having autonomy and not making something in the first place is not a statement, it's a lack of statement. Silence isn't speech. Definitionally.
"People who are physically disabled in a way that prevents them from engaging with 'traditional' art" is very exactly no one who would artistically benefit from the plagiarism machine. Watching, hearing, smelling, touching, reading, existing in, just knowing any piece of art in any shape or form is engaging with it. If they can't do that with the rest they can't do it with dall-e. You mean people who physically can't create things but somehow are still able to communicate something to the machine.
And to that:
The robot isn't making them able, it's literally a third party copying people who were able.
It's less involved than ordering at a subway, which doesn't make you a "sandwich maker" even if you decided what to put in it. Just another customer. The process is still handled by someone else, your options are still limited by outside forces, and you still only asked for the ingredients.
It all relies on the assumption that the skills displayed are irrelevant to the end product - that a flawless monochrome is equal in value to a click with the paint bucket tool, since they're the same production. There's a reason why art is considered a creative process, not an end result.
Ultimately, this line of thought about "making art accessible" is about the supposed tragedy of someone having a vision without the skills to realise it. But that was always a solved issue. If you can develop these skills, develop them. If you can't or don't want to, commission someone. They're the only ways for you to actually be involved in the creation. Tweaking a machine until it's "yeah, close enough" isn't involvement. It's boredom. It's not caring about what is there. And for some reason that only applies to a few types of art, hm? If I tweak an android to run faster than Usain Bolt it doesn't make me an athlete. If I input a recipe setting in my Thermomix it doesn't make me a competent cook. Installing an autopilot doesn't make me a great pilot. And with my body I can't be any of these things.... and they're all damn closer to accessibility than midjourney is. You want to know what disabled people need? If I need something fetched - e.g. at the pharmacy - and my joint issues prevent me, then a small, fast robot that knows the way would be great. My eyes aren't good enough to visually check for a number of important things in the kitchen and my brain doesn't process time normally, so an automatic timer for cooking times with things that are already checked everywhere saves me a lot of time and food and health issues. Not a single time have I needed openai to make something. If I draw something, maybe my poor vision shows and I get the colours wrong. I don't have a robot colour-pick for me from the top 10 reposted painters online. It looks the same to me but not to you, and that's a much stronger statement about lack of autonomy than you not seeing it or me not making it. If I write it'll be my author's voice, not predictive text with a non-confrontational, PC-according-to-Silicon-Valley-execs tone. If I decide to try composing it will never be "an epic tune in the style of <insert currently-viral group>". And that's the difference between inspiration and botting.
As gen-AI becomes more normalized (Chappell Roan encouraging it, grifters on the rise, young artists using it), I wanna express how I will never turn to it because it fundamentally bores me to my core. There is no reason for me to want to use gen-AI because I will never want to give up my autonomy in creating art. I never want to become reliant on an inhuman object for expression, least of all if that object is created and controlled by tech companies. I draw not because I want a drawing but because I love the process of drawing. So even in a future where everyone’s accepted it, I’m never gonna sway on this.

The Ultimate Guide to Outsourcing in South Africa
If you are searching for the best outsourcing in South Africa, Out Source to South Africa helps you outsource smartly. Discover trusted outsourcing services South Africa relies on.
In the fast-paced, ever-evolving world of business, companies are constantly searching for innovative ways to reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and remain competitive. One strategy that has proven increasingly popular is outsourcing. While countries like India and the Philippines have traditionally dominated the outsourcing industry, South Africa has emerged as a world-class destination for high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective outsourcing solutions. Today, more companies are making the smart decision to Outsource South Africa for their operational needs.
The Rise of Outsourcing Services in South Africa
Tumblr media
Over the past decade, South Africa has positioned itself as a major player in the global outsourcing market. The country's outsourcing industry, especially in sectors like customer service, technical support, IT, and back-office functions, has seen exponential growth.
This shift can be attributed to a number of factors, including:
A large, English-speaking population with neutral accents A well-educated workforce with excellent communication skills A favourable time zone for UK and European companies Advanced telecommunications and IT infrastructure * Government support and investment in the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) sector Given these advantages, businesses looking to optimize costs without compromising on service quality are now increasingly choosing to Outsource South Africa as their go-to solution.
Top Outsourcing Services South Africa Offers
When you decide to Out Source to South Africa, you’re tapping into a rich array of services that cater to a wide range of industries. Here are some of the most sought-after services businesses are outsourcing to South African providers:
1. Customer Support and Call Centre Services
South Africa’s call centre industry is world-renowned. Thanks to the high quality of English spoken locally and the cultural affinity with Western markets, South African agents consistently deliver superior customer service. UK-based companies in particular benefit from time zone alignment, allowing for real-time support during business hours.
2. Back Office Support
Functions like data processing, invoice management, payroll, HR support, and admin tasks are crucial but often time-consuming. South African outsourcing companies provide seamless back-office support that allows your in-house teams to focus on strategic growth and innovation.
3. IT and Technical Support
From network management to software development, South Africa offers a growing pool of IT professionals who are both skilled and cost-efficient. Companies that outsource South Africa for technical support enjoy high reliability, robust cybersecurity protocols, and scalable tech solutions.
4. Digital Marketing and Creative Services
Need help with SEO, content writing, graphic design, or social media management? South African digital agencies offer creative, data-driven marketing strategies that align perfectly with your brand's goals — all at a fraction of the cost compared to local UK agencies.
Why You Should Outsource South Africa
Tumblr media
If you’re still wondering whether South Africa is the right destination for your outsourcing needs, here are some compelling reasons why more global businesses are making the move:
✅ Cost Efficiency Without Quality Compromise
Labour costs in South Africa are significantly lower than in the UK, but the quality of talent is on par with, if not better than, other outsourcing destinations. This enables companies to reduce overheads while maintaining — and often improving — the quality of services delivered.
✅ Highly Educated, Skilled Workforce
South Africa boasts a well-educated and multilingual workforce. Many service providers employ university graduates with expertise in fields ranging from finance and law to IT and engineering. This makes it easy to find specialized talent suited to your industry.
✅ Excellent Communication and Cultural Fit
Unlike some other outsourcing destinations, South African teams are known for their excellent English proficiency and neutral accents, making them easy to understand by UK clients and customers. Their cultural compatibility also leads to better collaboration and smoother service delivery.
✅ Favourable Time Zone for UK Businesses
South Africa operates in a time zone that overlaps perfectly with UK and EU business hours. This means real-time communication, faster turnaround times, and enhanced productivity — a critical edge in fast-moving business environments.
✅ World-Class Infrastructure
South Africa has heavily invested in technology and infrastructure to support its outsourcing industry. Many BPO centres are equipped with the latest IT systems, high-speed internet, backup power sources, and cybersecurity measures — ensuring reliability and data protection.
Case Study: Why Businesses Are Choosing to Out Source to South Africa
Let’s consider the case of a mid-sized UK e-commerce business that was struggling to manage customer inquiries, order processing, and return requests due to increased online sales. By choosing to Outsource South Africa, they were able to: Set up a dedicated customer support team in Cape Town Reduce operational costs by 50% Improve customer satisfaction ratings by 35% Ensure 24/7 support through rotating shifts The outcome? Higher customer retention, faster processing times, and improved internal focus on business growth strategies. This is just one example of how outsourcing to South Africa is transforming operations for UK-based firms.

Palliating Hazard While Teaming up with Software Projects Sourcing Company in India
Technology developments like cloud enablement, software, IT and hence are compounding the risks of outsourcing. It is therefore, vital to recognize inherent risk aspects and deal with them before venturing into an outsourcing plan.
While the concept of outsourcing appeared a few decades ago, and we witnessed a lot of software projects sourcing company in India emerging, we can’t assume that it holds the same meaning today as it did way back then.
If we have to categorize hazards of software project subcontracting in India, we would come up with the following list:
Operational hazard: Frequently, a software projects outsourcing company is situated at various locations geographically. Due to various geo distances and time zones, operational transactions might sometimes be affected.
Confidentiality hazard: Organizations worry about the leakage in confidential data and breach of trust. This is a severe concern. Nonetheless, it is not one that can’t be palliated. To go one step further, information leakage, espionage keeps on happening everywhere. Nonetheless, outsourcing companies have their code of conduct and does not truly benefit them by breaching confidentiality agreements with customers. Sourcing companies should go with referral contacts or if they are going with lesser known companies, they should carry out a comprehensive check on credibility and dependability.
Many companies have their own Centers of Excellence for technologies, different services, and domains, making it simple to apprehend needs, translate the same into project milestones, and ramp up truly fast to meet delivery deadlines.
Teaming with reputed, matured companies make sense as it assists to lessen hazard. The reason is these companies are already upgraded with state-of-the-art technologies and their suggestions can not only assist to lessen costs, but also better performance and effectiveness leading to final user satisfaction.

the thing about this being targeted to students is even more insidious when you think about how educational institutions often issue software licenses to their student body. if your school gives you microsoft word and that software pops up a helpful suggestion when you open it that offers to draft your essay for you — how can you convince your students they’re doing anything other than what they’re supposed to do??
I assigned a writing prompt a few weeks ago that asked my students to reflect on a time when someone believed in them or when they believed in someone else. One of my students began to panic.
“I have to ask Google the prompt to get some ideas if I can’t just use AI,” she pleaded and then began typing into the search box on her screen, “A time when someone believed in you.”
“It’s about you,” I told her. “You’ve got your life experiences inside of your own mind.” It hadn’t occurred to her — even with my gentle reminder — to look within her own imagination to generate ideas. One of the reasons why I assigned the prompt is because learning to think for herself now, in high school, will help her build confidence and think through more complicated problems as she gets older — even when she’s no longer in a classroom situation.
She’s only in ninth grade, yet she’s already become accustomed to outsourcing her own mind to digital technologies, and it frightens me.
When I teach students how to write, I’m also teaching them how to think. Through fits and starts (a process that can be both frustrating and rewarding), high school English teachers like me help students get to know themselves better when they use language to figure out what they think and how they feel.
. . .
If you believe, as I do, that writing is thinking — and thinking is everything — things aren’t looking too good for our students or for the educators trying to teach them. In addition to teaching high school, I’m also a college instructor, and I see this behavior in my older students as well.
-----
This! This is what scares me the most about AI! Physical exertion is difficult if someone isn't used to it, and it gets easier the more often it's done. When it's done often enough, it becomes a habit. Mental exertion is exactly the same. Thinking is a learned skill just like a sport is, and an entire generation is growing up without that most critical skill.
An unthinking populace is a more easily controlled populace.

Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Market Analysis Technological Innovations and Automation
The BPO market is witnessing rapid growth driven by the need for businesses to cut costs, improve efficiency, and focus on their core competencies. Companies are increasingly outsourcing non-core functions, such as customer service, accounting, and IT support, to specialized providers who can deliver expertise and innovation. Globalization has also expanded the BPO market, enabling businesses to tap into talent pools across the world.
Tumblr media
Key Growth Drivers and Challenges
The main factors driving the BPO market include the need for cost savings, access to skilled labor, and the ability to scale operations quickly. However, challenges like data security concerns, the complexity of integrating outsourced services with internal systems, and the potential loss of control over certain operations are significant barriers to overcome.
Adoption Across Industries
BPO services are used across various industries, from healthcare and finance to retail and technology. Each industry requires customized solutions to meet its unique demands. In healthcare, for example, BPO is used for patient data management and billing, while in retail, it is often used for customer service and supply chain management.
Technological Innovations and Automation
Automation, AI, and machine learning are revolutionizing the BPO industry by improving service delivery, reducing errors, and increasing the speed of operations. Companies are adopting robotic process automation (RPA) to streamline repetitive tasks, reduce costs, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of outsourced operations.
Cost Reduction and Operational Efficiency
The primary reason companies turn to BPO is the ability to reduce costs. By outsourcing non-core functions, businesses can achieve significant savings on operational costs and improve their bottom line. Furthermore, BPO providers often offer economies of scale, allowing businesses to benefit from more affordable and efficient solutions.
The Role of Cloud Computing
Cloud computing has become a crucial component in BPO services, enabling providers to offer scalable, flexible, and secure services. Cloud-based BPO solutions allow companies to access data and applications remotely, reduce infrastructure costs, and improve collaboration between teams, all while ensuring data security and compliance with regulatory standards.
Global Market Segmentation
The global BPO market can be segmented by service type, including customer service, human resources, finance and accounting, IT services, and more. Geographically, the market is expanding across Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and Eastern Europe, where labor costs are lower, and skilled workers are available at competitive rates.
Outsourcing Locations and Global Talent Pools
India, the Philippines, and Latin American countries are prominent outsourcing destinations due to their large pools of skilled labor and cost advantages. These locations continue to attract companies looking to reduce costs while maintaining high-quality service. As the demand for nearshore and offshore outsourcing grows, new regions are emerging as viable alternatives.
Regulatory Impact and Compliance
Data privacy and regulatory concerns are important considerations for companies when choosing BPO providers. Ensuring compliance with data protection laws, such as GDPR in Europe and CCPA in California, is crucial for avoiding legal pitfalls and maintaining consumer trust. BPO providers must adhere to strict guidelines to protect sensitive business data.
Future Outlook and Growth Projections
The future of the BPO market looks promising, with increasing adoption of AI, automation, and cloud-based solutions. According to market projections, the global BPO market is expected to continue its strong growth trajectory, with demand driven by digital transformation, cost efficiency, and the evolving needs of businesses in a rapidly changing global economy.
Conclusion
Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) remains an essential component of modern business strategy. As companies seek ways to stay competitive in a dynamic market, outsourcing non-core functions allows them to achieve cost savings, improve operational efficiency, and focus on core business growth. With the continued rise of automation, technological innovations, and expanding outsourcing destinations, the BPO industry is poised for continued growth and transformation.

Role of AI in Recruitment
The recruitment industry is among the fields that have benefited from the innovation in the use of artificial intelligence (AI). Thus, it does not come as a shock that human resources professionals utilize AI in their hiring process already. This is likely to translate to a faster uptake of AI because organizations have now discovered what AI can do for their recruitment programs. Since the global AI market is expected to reach even higher by 2030, one can make sure that this transformation is long-term.
Recruitment is one of the complex and time-consuming processes that requires a lot of effort and resources. They have to go through many activities such as sourcing, screening, shortlisting, interviewing, and even evaluating talents among many in an organization. The advances in artificial intelligence technologies imply that most of these processes can now be made easy and reproduced, which will provide a better workforce solution. In this article, we will explore how the use of AI is revolutionizing traditional hiring processes, its pros and cons, and its relevance in platforms such as Hiresigma.
Understanding AI as a Tool
In the simplest terms, AI can be defined as using computers and computational processes to replicate human activity. In recruitment, AI in the form of algorithms, machine learning, and data analytics improves and accelerates several aspects of recruitment. When it comes to resume filtering and scheduling interviews, the primary use of AI is to minimize the time and errors expended.
AI uses data to make decisions in a short time due to its capabilities to analyze and recognize data patterns. For instance, it can sort resumes according to skills from job descriptions and present them to the hiring managers, leaving them with only the best candidates to go through. Furthermore, AI tools facilitate the identification and forecasting of hiring outcomes based on previous recruitment results, which is beneficial for strategic planning by businesses.
Using AI in Recruitment
The use of AI in the area of recruitment entails many possibilities, which make changes in the way employers obtain, assess, and approach candidates. Below are some key areas where AI has proven impactful:
Candidate Sourcing and Screening
Recruitment is a very exhaustive task; one has to take his time to look for the appropriate talent. It takes a recruiter a longer time to browse through hundreds of resumes, but when AI-powered tools are used, the scanning is done within a shorter duration, and the lists of the best candidates are drawn based on skills, qualifications, and experience. It also overcomes the time factor and takes out a lot of human error, especially during the screening process.
Chatbots for Candidate Engagement
It is now possible for chatbots powered by artificial intelligence technologies to talk to candidates in real-time, address concerns, give feedback on application status, and even perform basic assessments. This way candidates are engaged and informed throughout their journey of the hiring process.
Interview Scheduling and Coordination
Interview scheduling is one of the most complex tasks to perform while conducting research. There are AI tools capable of scheduling interview slots that intently suit the candidates and interviewers in equal regard, including automated follow-up. It also eliminates two-way communication and hence, increases productivity.
Predictive Analytics
AI can identify which of the candidates has the highest chance of performing well in a given position based on his or her performance, attitude, and other characteristics. This saves the time of the recruiter, assists him in making better decisions, and decreases the probability of a wrong hiring.
Reducing Bias
Recruitment has also been made easier since AI tools can be trained not to consider gender preference, age, or color. This increases employment equality for applicants with disabilities among other workers.
Opportunities and Risks
It provides numerous advantages, like increased operational effectiveness, better decision-making, increased recruitment effectiveness, and programmability where high volumes of hires are necessary for an organization.
However, it also has its disadvantages, such as algorithm bias, overdependency on technology, data security issues, and high implementation costs. Each of these factors must be well controlled so that AI technologies do not overwhelm recruitment practices.
Hiresigma and AI
Hiresigma a reputable IT staffing company in the USA, has adopted the use of AI to transform its business operations. Utilizing artificial intelligence-based technologies, Hiresigma makes sure that firms get the right employees for the position at minimal cost and time. Hiresigma uses artificial intelligence in screening, selection, and outreach and thus practices AI in recruitment. Also, the reduction of biased applications helps it diversify and create equal opportunities for its employees as it is keen on achieving excellent results. The solution provided by Hiresigma reveals how AI works hand in hand with professional skills to help companies make a worthy selection successfully.
Conclusion
Through AI, human recruitment has been made smart, timely, and inclusive. This makes it possible for organizations to make improved hiring decisions, increase candidate engagement, and provide considerable time savings for recruiting agencies. But to avoid negative consequences like biases and data privacy issues, the technology has to be put into practice correctly.
Hiresigma showcases how artificial intelligence can best be implemented in the recruitment process, whereby clients are offered customized services to suit them. At the same time, it is possible to strengthen teams by integrating the strengths of AI and human skills to achieve tremendous results.
AI does not act as a mere technology for recruitment; it has turned into one of the most important partners in the recruitment process in the modern world. Thus, job seekers and employers must take time to accept and embrace the opportunities that this new nature brings to be competitive in the market.

Is Accounting Important for Small Businesses?
Tumblr media
Small businesses often face unique challenges in managing their finances, but Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) play a crucial role in helping them grow and succeed. Through their specialized accounting services for small businesses, CPAs provide invaluable support in various areas, ensuring financial stability, compliance, and strategic decision-making. This holds not only in the United States but also in countries like India, where accounting firms cater specifically to the needs of small businesses.
A primary way CPAs support small businesses is by delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. By maintaining meticulous records and preparing financial statements, CPAs empower small business owners to assess their financial well-being and make strategic decisions. This service is particularly crucial for startups and burgeoning businesses in India, where accounting firms specializing in small business services offer personalized solutions.
Additionally, CPAs aid small businesses in navigating intricate tax laws and regulations, optimizing tax savings, and minimizing liabilities. By staying abreast of tax code revisions and identifying eligible deductions and credits, CPAs ensure compliance while devising tax strategies that benefit small businesses. This expertise is invaluable for Indian entrepreneurs seeking accounting firms proficient in managing their tax obligations.
Moreover, CPAs contribute significantly to financial planning and budgeting for small businesses. Through cash flow analysis, financial projections, and budgeting strategies, CPAs help small business owners allocate resources efficiently and achieve growth objectives. This proactive approach to financial management is essential for small businesses aiming to expand and thrive in competitive markets, whether in the US or India.
Furthermore, CPAs provide advisory services that go beyond traditional accounting functions.
They offer strategic guidance on business operations, risk management, and investment decisions, helping small businesses identify growth opportunities and mitigate potential challenges. This holistic approach to financial management is particularly beneficial for startups and emerging businesses seeking the expertise of the best CPAs for small business success.

Whether it's managing finances, ensuring tax compliance, or offering strategic advice, CPAs are indispensable partners for small business owners seeking to achieve their goals, both in India and around the world.
