Hey tumblr, I stumbled across this kickstarter for a sci-fi anthology featuring stories and poems by authors of African and African Diaspora Descent. It sounds cool and when I tried to dig up a tumblr post to reblog about it I couldn't find one, so I'm making it myself.

The kickstarter is running through noon eastern on July 19th, 2024. The pledge level for the ebook with over 40 stories and poems is just $10. For $30 there's an ebook bundle with this new anthology and their previous anthologies (Steamfunk!, Dieselfunk!, Cyberfunk! ,and Spyfunk!). There are also options to get a physical copy of the anthology, cool posters, and more.

If you are interested in sci-fi from voices that are currently underrepresented in the community, go check it out!

reading ── Not much, unfortunately, due to my life exploding and such, but I'll give a shout out to the Spacefunk anthology. It's a collection of short stories and poems by 50 BIPOC and African writers and poets, including yours truly.

currently watching ── Just finished Daredevil: Born Again and as usual, I fucking hated it and the entire fandom's praising it, so I feel insane ONCE AGAIN. I swear, the Marvel fandom and I take steps further and further apart every year since Endgame. No one ever pays attention to the places where the writing is shit because they just want this edgelord nonsense of Matt being a violent asshole jackass that is so insensitive, he fucks a woman and endangers her life yet can't be bothered to tell her he's a whole ass vigilante. Fuck that show. Fuck what it did to Foggy. Fuck what it did to Matt. The only good thing to come of it is Marvel flipping off the IRL Punisher cops and being bold enough to have a plotline about an evil crime boss that operates out of NY rising back to power. Otherwise, kiss my ass and slurp my butt. That series ruined the character and I will not be watching season two and I don't fucking care I'm the one motherfucker YET AGAIN that is the only one that didn't like it.

currently craving ── Man, I've been wanting some ramen lately. It's expensive and I'm destitute, so I can't have any until my worthless job finally pays me on the 2nd.

coffee or tea ── SIGH. I've been caffeine free since 2021. I discovered that I had become intolerant to it during that year and so every year since, I've been forced to drink fucking decaf. I have yet to find a tea I really like other than this one cran-apple I had, so for now, I'm drinking terrible fucking decaf.
