actually. AU where stiles USED to be a Spark. He used to be able to use magic and use it freely, even if he never really noticed.

au where after the nogistune, something's wrong with stiles. not "possessed by a demon and setting serial killers loose on purpose" kind of wrong, but in a "something's missing that I never knew was there kind of way" like realizing that your vision is juuust slightly out of focus

Stiles used to be a proper spark. now, most of what he has are illusions and mountain ash, and he can't use illusions without a full blown panic attack.

stiles used to have some proper firepower. these days... well he does what he always has, and makes the best of what he has.

Regulus had known many types of love. He knew he loved his brother, his friends, and he had once been in love with his best friend. But a love so pure, a love that didn’t ask anything of him but to exist—that had only happened once. And it was with James.

He knew how to love James as naturally as he knew his own name. Before Regulus could even realize it was happening, he found himself entirely enamored by honey eyes. He never looked back. James claimed a home in Regulus’ heart and they had filled it with the sweetest of memories. 

Sometimes, even when their words felt inadequate, and they stumbled upon their feelings, their eyes would lock and whisper ‘I love you’ when their lips couldn’t. 

Regulus had days when everything felt heavy, and so did James. On those days, they would take care of each other. When they couldn’t attend to their own needs, caring for the other came as second nature. James would always make sure that Regulus was fed, and Regulus would insist that James got some proper sleep. Regulus could be careless with himself, but never with James.

James was a limb. James was his heart. James was everything to him. And without Regulus James would never be whole. Desire felt like a deficient concept in comparison to how much they ached for each other. They needed the other in order to exist. 

The lines between obsession, lust and love were always blurring, but they didn’t care. Not when they had found each other in this lifetime and knew they would on the next one too.

I know there's that whole stereotype of DMs and PCs hating each other or whatever but to be 100% honest the most joy I get out of D&D is when my players come up with some absolutely crazy batshit idea that should be absolutely impossible rules as written because as the DM I can choose to ignore that dumb nerd shit and just say "That sounds fucking rad dude, I'm giving you inspiration for that idea, now make an Acrobatics check."

Have you ever played tactical breach wizards? it’s a turn-based video game about wizards going on heists; to me it’s a little bit like if all the pieces on a chess board had psychological issues and their own special gun. asking because i think your safety wizard would absolutely loathe steve the traffic warlock (who sucks)

I don't know what's funnier to me; the implication of him being a warlock, or the fact his name is Steve.
