one (1) agggtm tv series thought you get today before i fall asleep due to, well, lack of sleep - pip found out about the hotel and i was excited to see the little scene there with the grandma whose name i always forget where pip looks over at ravi and he mouths to her "very handsome" or sth along those lines after the grandma calls him that and it just. all hope was lost as soon as i saw it's not a family-owned establishment in the series

reminder to not watch eurovision. i know i just reposted something about that. but please please do not watch it.

i would've loved to be an alternative tonight, but the wifi's not letting me stream. if you need to watch something, watch something that's not esc.

watch a streamer (lilsimsie is having a charity stream, which i can highly recommend, but if that's not your vibe, watch something that is). watch a movie. watch some episodes of a series. watch a long youtube video, or 15 short ones (or more. just PLEASE don't watch eurovision. if last year's contest was a shitshow, this one is 20 times that.

quick mini-rant because i'm decluttering my recipe books in light of the fact i'll have to move in a few months -

i know this makes me sound mid-forties, but i own (and have bought) quite a few of those recipe magazines and they are infuriating at times. like what do you mean you want to put caraway seeds into a meal for a children's birthday party? do you know how many children i knew that liked caraway seeds? not many.

the woman that was definitely in a rush to catch some train, whichever one it might've been, but who slowed down when faced with a pigeon walking in front of her. it probably would've flown away. but she still let it pass first

further update on my rewatch of supernatural:

i'm not going to continue it lol.

if you want to, i can give you a rundown of the gabriel episodes until season 5; i'd be willing to watch those again ^^'

working on my script for the sit-down part of my video that also handles grief and still watching supernatural (i'm on episode 17), have some thoughts on the on-goings of season one from a person that will wait until it's light out again before going to bed:

i don't know who tf thought that those colours were a good idea (and i believe it gets better in later seasons) - some episodes look almost washed of colour and it just...doesn't look good in my opinion

mentioned this one before, but sam and dean look and act way older than they're supposed to. second one i could chalk up to their upbringing, but idk man, the decision to have them be early/mid twenties - okay, i just looked it up, those were actually about their ages and i suppose early twenty-somethings were actually just built different™

this second watch-through has a dampened scare factor for two reasons: 1) i'm a lot older and 2) i remember a lot of what happens, even if it's just part of it (yes i'm a baby that can't handle ghosts, don't @ me)

i don't know if i ever said this before (on my old blog), but the reason i loved the first two/three seasons was because not everything was demon-related or 'oh no, apocalypse'

some b-plots are weird (episode 17 has a prank war between sam and dean that doesn't quite hit the mark for me)

scrolled through my blog in search for something and saw that i reblogged a poll about knowing your paternal grandfather on 5th june

and i was waffling on about in the tags as i do about how i'm not a measurement of normalcy in that regard because i still have two living great-grandmothers and one living great-grandfather

and either the timestamp is off on the post or i was just absolutely elsewhere with my thoughts because my great-grandfather died on 31st may. which i was very much aware of

but the 5th was also the day of his funeral and i don't remember being on tumblr on that day and much less reblogging the post? so who knows.

anyway, i still have two living great-grandmothers (one very spry still, despite being 90, the other much less at 86(?))
