3:15 (Oscar Diaz Imagine)
Tumblr media
Summary: You're in a situationship with Oscar, not sure if you want to be official. Inspired by 3:15 by Russ. All I ever tried to do was help you understand and grow Light the way for truths that if not for me simply wouldn't show 'Less you get somebody else who's on my level, but you know That there's no one on my level, you gon' realize if you don't I wish you would own up to your flaws And just say that you're wrong when you're wrong Instead of actin' like you're right, then it turns into a fight Now you're stormin' out my house in the middle of the night “What's on your mind?” Oscar interrupted your few kisses. You were currently all over him in your bedroom, as usually. You pecked his soft lips one more time and sighed “I don't think you should do it tomorrow.” you spoke softly. Your lover's dark eyes looked at you for a few seconds before he frowned “Don't start this shit again.” The anger about the same situation started to boil within you, so you got off of Oscar and laid on your back. “What is your problem?” you spat at him. The sudden tension in the room was obvious. He suddenly sat on the edge of your bed and gave you an intimidating look over his right. “I don't think we're close enough to have this kind of conversation!” “Wow.” You didn't know how else to react. He was obviously refering to the fact that you weren't sure how to label your 'thing'. You cared, a lot. But he was part of a gang and you cared too much about other people's opinions too. “I think you should go home. ”you let out bluntly without thinking. He turned his head away from you and let out a dry laugh “You know.... I fucking might!” and stormed off. ***
How come when I love somebody, part of me don't wanna stay? Every time I get too close, I just start pushing them away I know, I know Maybe I just wanna leave before they try to leave me first Maybe I don't wanna need 'em 'til they say they need me first I know, I know (yeah, yeah, yeah) Damned if I do, damned if I don't Drank Tequila, I can't drive home Hard to play cool, heart belongs to you I know that if I show that I keep my walls up, if you want me then you better start to climb WoMen who love me aren't rare WoMen who mean it hard to find Somethin' tells me that I'm right about you Please, don't prove me wrong They say love's a song for fools We're wise enough to sing along  “Back off!” you raised your voice and pushed the guy to the side. You were frustraded, ended up at someone's houseparty, drank enough Tequila to not drive home by yourself, but not enough to forget about Os. The porch made an exceptable place to sit down for a bit and re-think your previous thoughts. You wanted him. All to yourself. So you took all your courage and dialed his number. Oscar picked up after a while, but did not say anything. You could just see the seconds of the phonecall on your screen. “Can you pick me up?” you asked carefully. You could hear him sigh into the phone. “Where are you?” *** It took about 20 minutes until you could see the familiar red car pull into the street. You slowly got up and neared yourself the sidewalk. The car came to stand right in front of you, but before you even had the chance to get in, your lover already got out. He stood right in front of you and looked deep into your eyes. “You're in my head.” you said while pointing to your temple. The alcohol was definitely kicking. His eyes softened and you felt like there was a slight smile on his lips. He took your hand in his and placed a soft kiss on it “Get in the car, Y/N. ” You continued to stare into his eyes. “I want everyone to know about us. ” His face seemed to light up a bit. He pulled you in and kissed your forehead before whispering in your ear “Get in babe, we'll talk about it tomorrow.”
But now it's hard to breathe I'm not in love, it's just a game we do I tell myself I'm not that into you But I don't wanna sleep, it's quarter after three And now it's hard to breathe I'm not in love, it's just a thing we make We're skin on skin, I need this spell to break, oh But I don't wanna go, and I know that you know You're in my head like

El Malo
Chapter 3
Tumblr media
I sat on my bed that night looking at the moon through my window. Tony is a good man and he loves me and maybe I can love him, but I have doubts. Fuck. I’m such a bad person.
It's been six weeks since Oscar got out. I've been keeping myself busy by working at my sister’s beauty store and avoiding Oscar. And I’m doing a pretty good job at avoiding him, if I do say so myself. I was finally walking home after I finished helping my sister with her store when I spotted Jamal, Ruby, and Monse.
“Monse!” I shouted her name with a smile and sped up to greet them.
“Hey, when did you get back?”
“I just got back today, hey do you know why Ruby and Jamal aren’t talking to Cesar, he tells you everything cause these shitheads won’t tell me anything” She walked next to me to look at Jamal and Ruby with an eye roll. Just when I was going to answer, we heard someone blasting their music and when we turned to look, it was the familiar red impala coming down the street.
Ruby shook his head, “We can’t tell you what Cesar said.”
“Fine, then I’ll ask myself”
She walked on the street and stopped right in front of the Impala, forcing Oscar to stop the car.
“Hey, you crazy!”
I turned to Jamal and Ruby.
“What did Cesar say?” I asked. I was curious to know why Monse was so upset and why they weren’t talking to him.
“Cesar said he hit it” I gasped and turned to look at Monse leaned over talking to Oscar.
“Jamal!” Ruby yelled and Jamal quickly covered his mouth with his hand. He turned to me”, look just don’t tell Monse”
“I won’t, but you know the truth always comes out, I’ll talk to-“
“Hey Y/N! Get in the car, I’ll take you home”
I turned to look at Oscar and crossed my arms.
“No, I’m perfectly fine with walking.”
Cesar turned to look at me with desperation in his eyes. I sighed and bid my goodbyes as I got in next to Cesar.
Oscar drove me to his house and asked me to stay for a while. But I declined and told him I was gonna pass to the bathroom and get some of my stuff, although I left out the second part. I was only gone for six weeks and the house is already a mess. Ugh, men. By the time I walked out, I saw Cesar sitting on the couch and Oscar sitting behind him on a crate, with Monse standing in front of him.
“We can go inside-“ Oscar cut him off by clearing his throat “, But uh if you wanna sit on my face, you gotta put that mouth on pause so I can concentrate”
All of the Santos laughed and he fist bumped Oscar. Poor Monse had the look of humiliation on her face.
“What the fuck? You put him up to this didn’t you!”
“Hey,” Oscar stood up and tried to get in my face “,don’t start shit.”
“Fuck you Oscar”
I was beyond pissed. How dare he try to intimidate me in front of his puto friends. I wanted to release some steam by hanging out with my friends but they were on the clock so that was a no and my mom went to visit family in Mexico, so I’m in a house all by myself . You must be wondering what happened to Tony. Let’s just say he could see I wasn’t Interested and he wasn’t mad. He told me he loved me and he’d be willing to wait for me when I realize Oscar ain’t shit.
I was watching tv in the living room when I heard movement in my room. I could feel my heart start racing. I sped tip-toed into the kitchen and grabbed a knife. I stood beside my closed bedroom door and waited for whoever was in there to come out. My heart sped as the door opened and I put the knife against the throat of the perpetrator. Only it wasn’t, it was Oscar. I let out a sigh of relief.
“What the fuck Oscar? You could’ve knocked on the door”
I walked to the kitchen with him following behind me and put the knife away.
“What are you doing here?”
“Came to talk.”
“ I don’t have anything to say to you’’
“Haven’t seen you with that guy”
“What’s it to you?” I asked as I leaned on the kitchen counter. I watched as he stepped closer to me.
“I failed you a thousand times, yet you’re still mine”
He walked closer so our chests were touching, he held my chin up gently forcing me to look up at him.
“He seemed sincere unlike my flaws, but I’m the bad guy you don’t stop loving. You’re like Cinderella and he’s the pitiful fool and even though I’m not Prince Charming, I’m still the love of your life”
My eyes started to water and I tried to look down but he wouldn’t let me.
“Oscar- please”
“I love you, Y/N”
I felt a tear run down my face and Oscar leaned his forehead against mine touching my nose with his.

1, 3 and 4!! 💞💞
Was your OC influenced or inspired by any particular fictional character(s) when you made them?
Carrie got the name Carrie because of Carrie white! Main character to Stephen King's carrie. I have adored Carrie for so long that when making my own oc I watched the movie in the background.
Carrie last name Gomez is inspired by Gomez Addams because of how devoted I made her to Luz. I wanted a character who was hurt but loved so devotedly.
Luz was a recent name change. I kept flip flopping on her name so many times and kept changing it until the owl house came out. I absolutely adore Luz Noceda from the owl house and I couldn't help but imagine if Luz (toh) and Luz (oc) meeting. Before hand Luz would be named after various final girls.
Luz Last name Diaz is from star vs the forces of evil. I loved Marco. My girl. I really wish Marco could have been a trans girl in the show but in regards to Luz, I gave her Marco's last name because shes the most cautious compared to Carrie but does love ghost hunting. She has her fun.
2. What genre (not counting the one they’re in) would your OC thrive in?
I mentioned how bsd would fit carrie and luz to you before but let me talk about Viv and Nova.
I love jjk so i tried to make ocs but did not like the story in the end . then thought about carrie and luz, because i have favs within my ocs but still did not like it.
But what made me realize who would fit, Viv and Nova. Their story is about them dying and becoming demons. In order to keep living they have to punish the living. I can't help but think of Nova and Viv as sorcerers who drifted away after having to deal with curses and how often people died only for Nova to come back and beg for another chance to spend the rest of his days left with her. 4.What media does your character enjoy?
Carrie and Luz are magical girl and superhero lovers. Carrie has a die hard crush on starfire and Luz adores supergirl. They both adore spiderman in horror or more spooky media Carrie and Luz both love the child play franchise and the addams family.
Carrie loves junji ito and emily carrolls comics.
Luz loves Carrie, Coraline and invader zim.
Viv loves the labyrinth movie, the dark crystal series and puppetry in general. She also loves childrens horror media like goosebumps or scarewaves. In her universe she loves the idea of being a future kids nightmare.
Nova- Loves the muppets. Kermit is his icon. The Wizard of Oz and disney movies, His fav princess is mulan. and anything that has to do with alice in wonderland. Including the video game alice maddness returns.

I have a request for Spooky. Please I need a imagine where Oscar and the reader meet each other on tinder. Idk something funny with oscar being all serious and getting straight to the point, maybe a little smut (because we all know spooky would only be in a dating app for one thing😏). I love your writing so much💕💕 thanks for feed us with such a good imagines 🥰
A/N: I did not expect it to be this long and this is long overdue but it's here! I hope you enjoy! 🤍
Swiping Right for Mr. Right
Tumblr media
Left. Left. Left. Left. Left.
That was the continuous motion of your finger on this damned dating app they call Tinder. You keep giving dating apps a try and give up after a few days because you realize dating apps aren’t for you. Then you think maybe the 100th time is a charm and, it gets deleted again. It’s a cycle. Create. Delete. Create. Delete.
“Girl, you are too damn picky! Swiping left on everyone like you Beyoncé!” Your best friend Aisha’s voice boomed behind you, scaring you into hiding your phone in your chest. You glared at her.
“How have you been standing behind me?”
“Long enough to see that you’re a picky ass bitch.”
You rolled your eyes in response and continued your swiping as Aisha came around the couch to see next to you.
“I’m just saying. You ain’t getting no dick with that attitude.”
“I don’t want just any dick. Hell, I don’t want just dick. I want a connection. I want someone who I can connect with and eventually fall in love with.” You stated sincerely, and you could see your annoying ass friend holding back a giggle.
“And you on Tinder for that? You might wanna try ChristianMingle for that.”
“Aisha, go the fuck away!” You hissed, hiding your phone. “Matter of fact, get the fuck out of my apartment!”
Before your eyes, Aisha swiftly snatched your phone from you and began looking.
“Aisha!”
“I’m helping you! Sit back!” Her eyes perked up. “Oooh, look at this white boy! He’s cute, and it looks like he super liked you! Girl, he wants you!”
You glanced at your phone and squinted your eyes at her. “Yeah, he wants me. Wants me out of his country! Bitch, his bio says “Trump2020”!”
Aisha looked back at the phone and scrunched up her nose, swiping left. “Mhmm, you just had to ruin it, Dylan.”
“Ooh, I like him!” You pointed at the next guy, but Aisha shook her head in disapproval. “What?”
“The nigga has a dangling earring. He’s sweet, and I’m not talking about his personality.”
You guys kept going until you landed on one guy. He was Mexican, and by the looks of it, he’s a cholo.
Spooky, 24
Looking for the finest hyna.
“What the fuck is a Hyna?” You questioned, brows furrowed.
“Don’t know......but let’s find out.” Aisha quickly swiped right. Boom! It was a match. She turned to you with bewildered eyes. “Oh, shit bitch! That’s you!”
You glared at your friend. “Now, why the fuck did you do that?”
“Mhmm, I guess you wanna unmatch then?”
You grabbed the phone from her. “No. Might as well see it through.” You mumbled as she fell back in cackles.
It didn’t take long for Spooky to hit you up, asking you for your number to text. He was smooth and very flirty. It didn’t take long for him to ask that one question.
“When can I see you?”
“On a date?”
“Yeah, sure. You can come over to my place and, we can chill 😏”
“Ooooh, I’m about to rob this nigga!” You voiced aloud. You were tired of niggas just inviting you over, unprovoked. You got something for that ass. “Spooky” is gonna learn today.
He gave you his address, and when you pulled up, you were surprised to see a group of men chilling in front. They were actually scary-looking. You got nervous. Did he know your plans? Fuck. Just be cool, Y/N.
You got out of your car and strutted up the pathway when a couple of the men blocked your path. No surprise there.
“Hey, Mami. What do you think your fine ass doing here?”
You rolled your eyes in disgust. “I’m here for Spooky.”
And as if he heard his name, The 6’1 Mexican man appeared at the door and gave the men a signal to let you through. You gulped silently and walked up to Spooky. Finer in person but also more intimidating. His whole demeanor was turning you on but scared you at the same time.
“I see you got a lot of friends.” You mentioned, nervously, once he closed the door behind you. He let out the sexiest chuckle you’ve ever heard.
“Ahh, the Santos are not my friends. They’re my brothers.”
Once Spooky said that you felt your blood run cold. Santos? Brothers? Oh no, he’s in a gang. From the looks of things, he’s the fucking leader. Shit, you planned to rob the leader of one of the largest gangs in Southern California.
His deep, smooth voice took you out of your deep, regretful thoughts. “Come on, beautiful. Let’s watch this movie.”
You could just run right now. It’s fine. No one is gonna judge you. Well, you would judge yourself. And Aisha would judge you. And he would. A part of you didn’t want to run though. He did live up to his name. He was spooky, but you liked it. No, bitch. He’s in a gang. You need to RUN.
“FUCKKK! YOU’RE GOING SO DEEP!” You screamed passionately as this man drilled your shit. You don’t know how you ended up like this. You were set on running or still going through with the initial plan and hitting a lick because you know he had a shitload of money stashed somewhere.
But now, you got your legs behind your ears, moaning and putting a hand on Spooky’s stomach to give your break from this deep dicking that was occurring.
“You gotta move your hand, Mami.” Spooky cooed, gently moving your hand away to resume his deep strokes. You let a loud moan. You didn’t know if you were in heaven or hell. Either way, you were loving it. Feeling his penis penetrate your slick walls caused your breathing to stagger. Fuck, he had some good dick. You’re fucked. Literally.
He pulled out, turned you around, bent down, and took a bite of your asscheek. Oh, this is a nasty motherfucker. He landed a harsh slap on that same cheek and entered you again, pounding your shit, and you were taking it. As you should. You even started to throw it back on his dick, causing him to bite his lip and release obscenities.
“Fuck, Mami. After this, you’re mine for sure. You got that?!”
You didn’t know what caused you to say it, but through your moans, you replied:
“Yesssss Daddy. I’m all yours!”
Right after you said it, you came so hard you swear you were seeing stars. The orgasm that washed over you was so powerful, you began to tear up. He followed suit, releasing in the latex condom between you two. You laid on your back on the couch, panting, trying your hardest to catch your breath. He gave you a grin, leaning over to peck your lips.
“You want round 2, or do you want to get cleaned up?”
You couldn’t speak still. You moved to your side and just nodded, hoping Spooky knew you wanted the former. He chuckled in response, getting up from the couch and stretching.
“Imma take that as you want round 2. Anything for my hyna. Imma get some water, and you should be ready when I come back.”
Once he left the living room, you noticed your phone buzzing and went to grab it. There were 3 missed calls and 20 text messages from Aisha. You didn’t even notice during your dickdown. You decided to return your friend’s call, and she picked up on the first ring.
“BITCH I WAS WORRIED SICK ABOUT YOU! WHY THE FUCK YOU AIN’T SHARE YOUR LOCATION LIKE I TOLD YOU?!”
You brought your voice to a whisper. “I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I forgot!”
Aisha sighed deeply. “Well? Did you do it?”
“Oh, I did it alright, and I’m about to do it again.” You purred on the phone, laying back on the couch.
“Your nasty ass fucked him? I’M SCREAMING!” Aisha cackled. “Not you folding for the dick!”
“If you had the dick, you would’ve folded too, shut up!” You retorted back, making sure he wasn’t around. “Plans changed, bitch. The only thing I’m robbing is his heart because he ain’t gonna fuck me like that and fuck other bitches. I’ll kill us both.”
At this point, Aisha was beside herself. Her laughs were screams, and you were sure tears were streaming down her face. “I ain’t mad at you. I would do the same. Go an extra round for me, girl.”
“Imma be going an extra round for my dead grandma, bitch! Bye.” You ended the call, and a minute later, Spooky walked in with a water bottle, handing it to you as he drank from his own. Once you drank some, he laid back, motioning for you to sit on his face.
The rounds you did covered Aisha and multiple generations. Happy Woman’s History Month.

Some are born great. Some achieve greatness. And some have greatness thrust upon ‘um.
Then there’s some that will inherit greatness from a bald-headed cholo called Spooky. Or just you specifically. How the world set up this relationship is one to share as a story around the campfire, or the rundown grill that feeds the many mouths of the Santo trap house in Freeridge.
Oscar gets tired of this story but you love to tell it to remind him and everyone of your princesa status that’ll reign for all eternity. Some call you stuck up but you call it blessed.
It began with your junior year. You were one to blend with many crowds, with your impressive intelligence, quick-wit humor and overall grace. There was no one you couldn’t get along with. It was universally impossible for a single person to dislike you! Though you were certain there were some that seemed to like you but could be a different story when you weren’t around.
But for the most part, you were everyone’s bestie. Well everyone except one: Oscar Diaz. Yes, the later to be love of your life, actually despised you. So immensely that you were certain he had a “I hate Y/N!” altar in his room.
Oscar had joined the santos during the summer going to junior year and he made it painfully clear how you were not all that and bag of crackers. The way the two of you would sneer at each other in the hallways. Nasty remarks and even attempts at social embarrassment.
“Ay, she does bend over nicely!” Oscar called out once after he hit your textbooks from your grasp. You only rolled your eyes as you bent down to gather them.
Once you do, you straighten your posture and stride over to him, “Now you know what you’ll never have. Keep that tucked away in that little brain of yours, m’kay? Go ham tonight with the lotion.”
A time where you purposely flipped your lunch tray on him and he spewed curses at you. The crowd egged him on as you laughed. You pouted and flew a bunch of napkins at him, eventually strutted away unbothered.
Or when Oscar came across studying in the library and put his phone under your chair, having one of his homies play ‘Me So Horny’  by The 2 Live Crew. Everyone has moved to look at you. You were so embarrassed because you had no idea where it was coming from but it was certainly coming from where you sat. A snickering Oscar gave you a clue what it was.
The list could go on and on with how much the two despised one another, the amount of pranks pulled against each other or the names that one called the other. Junior year seemed longer than it should have with all that plus life in general.
Then came the night of senior prom. The night that changed everything between you and Oscar. It wasn’t the he asked you or anything. It’s when he stepped in during an altercation of a guy not taking no for an answer.
Oscar Diaz was many things, but he would never let a woman be disrespected like that. You thanked him but stormed off, losing all interest in enjoying the night at prom. Oscar had caught up with you on your walk back home.
“You gonna walk home in heels like that?” He asks after getting into step with you.
You only scoff and keep your arms crossed over your chest, the cold makes it hard to keep a steady breath. Upon feeling something placed over your shoulders, you stop walking: Oscars flannel. A confused face forms over and you look at him.
His eyes were soft. Pools of dark amber, glistening under the street lights. He clears his throat and looks down the street. “Let me walk you. Streets ain’t safe to walk alone.”
“I’m at the end of this street, I’m fine, really.” You say softly.
“A lot can happen. Pues, it would ease my mind to know you get in safely.” He admits and your eyes widen. Heart thumping. You smile and nod, walking with him besides you.
There were no words to describe what would come next.
Suddenly, curt nods were given instead of disgusted looks. Kind words were exchanged instead of nasty ones. Study period became excuses to talk to one another. The rest of senior year became the start of Oscar and Y/N. How everything had shifted from one night.
“Enemies to lovers, she says. Like the fuckin’ books she reads.” He comments when you finish telling the story of how you two started dating by graduation of high school.
The ladies swoon at the thought of the good girl getting a chance with the bad boy that everyone was in love with. Oscar wouldn’t admit it but it made him smile at the thought of getting that chance with you.
After a night of good company with the guys and their ladies, the two of you check in for the night. A hot shower later, you’re laying back as Oscar massages lotion into your skin. His hands are gifted, in more ways than one.
“For you.” He says, your eyes opening to see a covered box in his hands.
You’re taken by surprise but not entirely, Oscar loves to shower you with gifts. You are completely spoiled with anything you have your eye on. You even swear he can read your mind and see the things you have interest in.
You sit up and take it, opening it and feeling your mouth fall open slightly. “Purple roses and baby’s breath… just like m-”
“Floral arrangement you had at prom. Prom happened on this night 7 years ago. That night I took my chance with you.” He interrupts you, his voice faltering slightly. “I was the biggest puto to you because you were able to get anyone to like you. You were universal and I admired that shit. But I didn’t know how to say it or show you. Pero.. I’m glad I eventually did.”
The night commenced with less and less words.

request: hiii ;)) could you do an imagine where Spooky falls for the reader who has a brother in the gang? thank you xx
a/n: not sure if this is exactly what was in mind when the request was made but it’s what i wrote anyway! hope you like! also sorry about this gif it literally breaks my heart every time i see it but i couldn’t find a better one that fit yikes
Tumblr media
masterlist
you sat up, eyes glued to the television that hummed quietly, lighting the dark room. your eyelids drooped every so often but you could not will yourself to fall asleep. you sighed, tucking your legs under yourself, holding a bowl of cereal in your hands as you continued to munch on your midnight snack. you hardly noticed when oscar came plodding into the living room until he moved in front of the tv.
your eyes moved upwards to him, his eyes tired and hair tousled from how he had been sleeping. his eyes squinted a little before he moved to sit next to you on the sofa. he relaxed into the cushion, holding out his arm which you fell back into.
"can't sleep?" he murmured, wrapping his arm around you and pulling you closer. you shook your head, putting down your bowl before cuddling into his chest. you listened to his steady heartbeat for a while, your eyes drooping slightly as you relaxed.
"no," you mumbled a soft reply, tucking your face away from him. his free hand grazed your cheeks, moving loose strands of hair out of your face. "didn't mean to wake you, m'sorry."
"s'alright," he shook his head, leaning against the top of your head, breathing in your scent. "jus' can't sleep without you anymore."
you hummed, pressing a soft kiss to his clothed chest. you revelled in the comfort of having oscars arms securely wrapped around you, letting your arm drape over his stomach. he pressed a kiss into your hair, holding you tighter for a second. you sat in silence for a while, your mind was overworking itself again, why you couldn't sleep properly in the first place.
as much as you tried to focus on what you had, you couldn't help but think about everything that had changed and worsened since oscar got jumped out of the gang. it had never bothered you much, what he did for a living, your brother had been involved in that lifestyle for as long as you could remember. you were used to it. but oscar had come to the end of his tether, he took his out and took you with him.
you were happy to leave, you had always wanted to do more, wanted more from your life than oscar could have given you if he had stayed. and you wanted more for oscar.
but leaving meant oscar was cut out completely. cesar wouldn't talk to him anymore, after everything they'd been through. and sad eyes, your own brother, wouldn't so much as look at either of you. oscar being cut out extended to you somehow and you were struggling to accept that. it had been you and your brother for a really long time, and now to have no contact, for him to act like you don't even exist, was messing with you a little.
"you're quiet," he mumbled, his cheek smushed against the top of your head. "what you thinking about, mami?"
"nothin'," you didn't want to dredge up this conversation again. there was nothing you could do to change the situation and you weren't about to make oscar feel bad about it. you knew he already felt pretty guilty about tearing up your family, no matter how many times you told him that you chose him.
"y'sure?" he nudged you gently. you hummed. his hand moved to your face, cupping your cheek to move your head back so he could look at you. his eyes darted between your eyes and you bit down on the bottom of your lip. "what's botherin' you?"
you shook your head softly. "nothin' i promise--"
your whole body jolted when the banging started outside, your eyes went wide, oscars hand moved to your head, pulling you down and shielding you. "get down!" he shouted to you, pushing you further down till you were out of the shot of the window and onto the floor.
you felt oscars hands leave you once you were safe. you glanced up to see he'd grabbed the gun he kept hidden nearby and was moving to the door. "no," you mumbled, scrambling to get back on your feet. you startled again when there was another bang, covering your head with your arms but you saw no impact anywhere. it wasn't gun shots. oscar had already sussed this and was making his way outside.
you could hear some kind of commotion, following him to the doorway. maybe you were being stupid but you weren't going to lose him any time soon. you wouldn't allow it.
but as you got to the doorway you noticed a round of familiar faces. cesar was busy bashing in the headlights of your car and your brother, standing idly by watching him do it. "hey!" you shouted, following oscar along the footpath leading down your lawn. "what the hell do you think you're doing, pendejos?"
your eyebrows were knitted tightly, your eyes darting between your brother and cesar. cesars eyes met yours, they were cold and unforgiving and most of all, angry. you weren't used to seeing him like this, you missed the sweet little kid you used to hang out with all the time. this wasn't like him at all.
"doesn't concern you, puta," you quirked an eyebrow listening the name fall spitefully from his lips. you took a step closer to him, ready to scald him but as you did, the rest of the gang, including your brother, took a step closer to you.
"you better watch your mouth, mano," oscar scalded his younger brother, eyebrows knitted tight. he wore an expression you hadn't seen for a while, not since he left.
"you better watch that hyna, cabrón," your eyes moved to your brother who had made the comment. you gulped on the lump in your throat, watching as he looked passed you and to oscar. his eyebrows knitted, lips pulled into a tight frown.
"you wanna go there, hermano? eh?" you lost your temper for a second, marching over to him and shoving at his chest. nobody touched you. nobody had been allowed to touch you when oscar was head of los santos, your brother his second in command. somehow those rules still seemed ingrained in the other santos members. all but one, who seemed to be new because you didn't recognise his face. his hand moved to your shoulder, pushing you back away from your brother. you towered over this kid he was so small, slapping his hand away. "quién mierda eres tú?"
you were surprised when sad eyes grabbed the kids shirt and yanked him away from you. you narrowed your eyes, clearly upset by everything that was happening. you didn't understand why they had to be such assholes about everything.
oscars hand moved to your waist, pulling you away from the gang of santos that you fearlessly were hovering in front of, clearly looking for a fight. "get the fuck out of here, todos ustedes."
cesar teared his eyes away from you and back to his brother. "watch your back, hombre," he teased, backing up, his gang of goons following him. "mantente fuera de mi negocio," he spat on the ground. "doesn't concern you anymore.”
your chest was rising and falling quickly, pushing oscars hands from your waist after they’d left. you turned your back on them and oscar, stomping your feet as you moved back inside. oscar followed behind you.
“i can’t believe those two,” you couldn’t help but raise your voice, all your frustration and upset was coming out after the confrontation. “fuck them— fuck los santos— i never want to see either of them again.”
you were rambling, your anger pouring out of you all at once. your throat tightened, running your hand through your hair and tugging on the roots.
“i know,” oscar mumbled, trying to approach you with a level of caution. “c’mere, mami,” he closed in, reaching out to you with open arms. you shook your head, your palm against your forehead, trying to disguise the tears forming in your eyes. “ma, c’mon,” oscar spoke softly, he was calm all things considered.
you caved, letting him engulf you in a hug. one arm wrapped around your shoulders, the other against the back of your head, tucking you in closer. you sniffled, resting against his chest, arms slowly moving around his torso. you squeezed him, taking a deep breath and giving yourself a minute to calm down a little.
“‘this what’s been keeping you up?” you were gripping the back of his shirt in your fist when he spoke again, not wanting him to pull away anytime soon. you just nodded, snivelling again. you felt a lot calmer after only a few minutes, oscar was pretty good at that. he tucked his head into the top of your head, lingering a kiss there. “m’sorry, hermosa. i know this is hard on you too.”
you shook your head, forcing yourself to pull back just a little so you could meet his eyes. “i chose you,” you reminded him. “‘n’ i don’t regret that,” your nose was tinted red, eyes still wet from tears and your face flushed from all the yelling. oscar frowned at the sight, squeezing you a bit tighter. “but i miss my brother, no matter how big of an asshole he is. and i know you miss cesar as much as i do, if not more.”
“they need time, they’ll come around,” he wasn’t sure they would, but it was what you needed to hear, and maybe he needed to hear it too. he pressed a short kiss to your forehead. “pero por ahora, y espero por siempre, eres mi vida, mi familia,” he mumbled against your flushed skin.
“te quiero,” you mumbled quietly, tilting your head back to catch your lips against his. “siempre.”

Campfire Confessions
On My Block • Oscar "Spooky" Diaz x Reader
A few weeks ago some really drunk make out thing between your best friend Oscar and you had happened. You stopped it before you went too far. Ever since you’ve been deeply torn by the feelings for your best friend you knew had somehow always been there but couldn’t be pushed back anymore since that incident. And Oscar, with his stares across the campfire, didn’t make it any better.
Words • 3.3 k Warnings • some cursing; smoking
/////
It was an incredibly hot day. Heat usually wasn’t much of a problem for you but today the sun was burning down so hard it almost melted the asphalt. You could smell the fumes, tasted them on your tongue while you were sweating out of every pore your body called its own. And if that wouldn’t have been enough already, the Santos decided to light a bonfire in the Diaz backyard as soon as the sun started to set.
The place was crowded. People were spread everywhere, occupying damaged couches and close to giving out camping chairs. Those, who hadn’t been able to save themselves a seat, were either standing around with booze in their hands or just flopping down on the parched grass.
Of course you didn’t have to sit on the ground. You were always offered a spot on one of the couches. A few minutes ago Sad Eyes had sent away the guy next to him so you could sit down. He was talking to you, tried to get your opinion on how to solve a complicated relationship problem with his girl. You weren’t listening. Occasionally you hummed some approval or nodded your head in between drinking but you didn’t pay attention. You felt a little guilty because Sad Eyes was a good friend and he was always there when someone needed help but you simply couldn’t focus on his words.
Your full concentration was on acting like everything was normal and that was a really tough task because nothing was normal.
It would be normal if you sat next to Oscar, chatting and laughing and drinking with him. But he sat directly across from you in a chair with the bonfire between you because you had fled all evening from him, adamant not to sit down next to him.
Ever since that incident a few weeks ago, which had made things not normal for you, you constantly searched for space from his proximity. And you damned your hardest to look everywhere else but at him.
An elbow to your side made your head abruptly turn to Sad Eyes. He looked at you in disapproval. „You are not even listening, are you?“
You stared at him and rummaged through your short-term memory if you could find the words he had said. Impossible. „I’m sorry.“
For a moment he thought about if he was disappointed that you didn’t listen. Then he just shrugged and got up. „Another beer?“
You nodded and as soon as he walked away another Santos took over his seat. Luckily, he didn’t strike up a conversation because you wouldn’t have contributed to that one either. You observed the backyard, stared into the flames and when you dared to move your eyes higher… Oscar’s eyes were already on you.
You couldn’t bring yourself to look away once your eyes were locked with his. Those dark eyes were piercing you down with flames reflecting in them. He didn’t think about moving them away from you, too. If things were normal this would be a staring contest and the first one to look away would pay the next meal at wherever you would get takeout from.
Things weren’t normal. Oscar’s lips curled up as a reaction to your own facial expression. You were confused, thinking about the incident, and it probably showed.
A few weeks ago you got drunk. That type of hardcore getting drunk close to a blackout where you were still able to control your senses but not enough to resist what you longed for in the depths of your buried mind. Oscar and you had been on your own, which was rare because the Santos were around six out of seven nights a week.
You were watching a movie and at some point Oscar went to the kitchen to get some snacks but came back with tequila. He insisted on shots. You couldn’t recall anymore how it happened or who started but the next thing you remembered was that you kissed your best friend. Oscar and you made out in his living room. And even though being completely wasted, you had been able to stop before it got to a stage where you couldn’t pretend it never happened later on.
The heat rose to your face and it wasn’t from the campfire where some old furniture remnants were burning down to dust.
Oscar pulled his eyebrows together, lips sharp. He stood up and nodded at you. After being best friends for as long as you could remember, you knew him inside out: you were supposed to follow him.
Not a good idea. Absolutely not. You didn’t stand up from your spot. Instead you took a long sip of your beer.
„Y/N.“ Oscar called out your name. It didn’t sound threatening but it was loud enough for the people around you to take notice. He wouldn’t make a scene right there and then but Oscar was always up for surprises so you could never know for sure.
With a sigh you got up and followed him inside, through the house, outside again and reluctantly sat down next to him on the front steps.
He lit a cigarette and you stole the one from behind his ear to light one yourself.
Things weren’t normal. Neither of you had said a word about what had happened after that night.
You had been quite shocked. If you were true to yourself you knew that there was something inside of you that longed for more. That there was something more than platonic love for Oscar. But you had always suppressed it because you didn’t want to ruin the beauty of your friendship. It was like your brains were connected and worked best with a constant, very intense exchange of thoughts no matter the topic. So you never moved on those feelings deep inside of you because it would bear the risk of losing that connection with Oscar. And you were very aware that his sanity would wear extremely thin when he couldn’t discuss shit with you anymore if things ended on bad terms between you.
So you had stopped that drunk making out thing. Before you could regret it or you foolishly stormed into a ‚relationship‘ and figured out that you didn’t work out as ‚lovers‘.
„I’ve done a lot of thinking.“ Oscar’s voice dragged your brain from that night back into reality.
You took a drag of your cigarette. „About?“
He sighed. And then cursed under his breath. He tossed the remnants of his cigarette away and then did the same with your unfinished one. Oh oh. Oscar putting out cigarettes before they were smoked up was a sign of him wanting the full attention. „About the fact that I want you, Y/N.“
The faint sounds from the backyard gathering were echoing.
It wasn’t completely dark yet. There was still enough light to see his face. And his beautiful eyes. But his sight got blurry quickly when he bowed down. Oscar pressed his forehead to yours and the moment his skin was on yours, you felt your breathing stop.
Not a good idea. Not at all. A million thoughts were racing through your head. Something tried to lure you into giving in. Because he was so close and because of those feelings deep inside. And because it was Oscar.
And because it was Oscar… you couldn’t. You sighed and inhaled him. „Don’t say that, Oscar.“
„Why not?“ He didn’t move back, his skin still on yours and a hand moving to your neck to prevent you from backing away. „Wasn’t it you who always wanted the radical truth no matter the consequences?“
„Yes,“ you whispered back. „This is an exception, though.“
„It’s not.“
„It is.“ You took an attempt to free yourself from his proximity but he didn’t let you escape. „This time we could risk what I care about most. Our loyalty for each other.“
Oscar shook his head against yours and you used that movement to finally get out of his grip. He stared at you like he had thought about this conversation for a long time now.
„Do you think we would be less loyal if we finally allowed ourselves to love each other in the way we already do but haven’t admitted yet?“
As soon as the word ‚love‘ left his lips your brain went into panic mode and pure excitement at the same time. Sweat was building on your skin, made your palms wet and sent a shower down your spine. This state of mind was torture. For your part, yeah, you knew you had feelings for him. To hear Oscar stating that he had them as well made you even more torn.
„No,“ you admitted in all honesty. And inhaled. „But once we fuck this up – and one day we will – that’s when it becomes a problem.“ You got up from the front steps and brought a few feet between you. The distance helped clear your mind and focus on the important things. „I’m going insane without you and you wouldn’t make it long without me either. So no, I don’t want to risk that.“
Oscar looked at you in confusion. He knew the part of you that liked to overthink things to the point were it almost got self-destructive. Maybe that was what was happening right now but he just had to understand your point.
„So what?“ He got up, walked over and tried to block your way. Oscar also knew your preference for escaping conflicts when they got too much. It led to the two of your circling each other because you were standing in the front yard and there were 360 degrees available for your escape. „You’re scared because you don’t know what will happen in the future? You decide to forbid yourself things because of that?“
You didn’t respond.
„Did you ever think about that you might cause losing this loyalty because you decide not to follow your heart?“
„I–“ He was right. Both of you knew it. Both of you were extremely stubborn too, though. Oscar pushed you into a metaphoric corner were you wouldn’t give up in.
He sighed, rubbed his face. „We don’t know what’ll happen, Y/N.“ His hands grabbed your arms and the circling around stopped. „But I for sure know that fear is a bad reason to make decisions on.“
Your heart was longing for you to throw yourself into his arms, continue with where you had left of that one night. Your brain couldn’t back down. The fear was real, at least it felt like it. The many what-ifs made everything else fade into the background.
„I can’t,“ you said firmly.
Oscar swallowed and waited for a few seconds if you really didn’t change your mind. When you didn’t say anything else in the next minute, the second and third minute, he dropped his hands. „Okay.“ He turned and walked off to the backyard.
/////
It had been the right decision. That night you felt horrible after Oscar left you standing there. The next day, when you met up for the usual Sunday lunch with his brother, everything was back to normal. Like nothing, absolutely nothing ever happened. Not the night before and certainly not the night where you had made out.
So far so good.
Until the weeks went by and you noticed how easily you let yourself get pulled into small problems. How you blew them up just to distract yourself from this slowly growing void in your chest. Small conflicts with your family, bigger arguments with Oscar and getting totally upset by all the things in this world going wrong which you couldn’t change.
And then you hid under your blanket every night, ashamed of how you behaved.
But it didn’t get easier. So you skipped every other night of the Santos gatherings. At those few you attended, you only lingered around, drank your drinks and… watched Oscar hooking up with this same girl over and over again.
You had to watch how she sat on his lap and how he grabbed her thigh, how he shoved his tongue into her mouth and how he caught you staring still throat deep into her.
When she started to call him her man as if to claim her territory, that’s when it began to really crush you. Her being all hands around him and Oscar totally engaging with it.
It turned out to be as he had predicted. You drifted apart because you tried to hold onto what had been between you in the past. But that wasn’t what was between you in the present anymore.
The more often you saw him with this girl, the more obvious it got. What was happening right now was exactly happening because you didn’t take that risk. In the life you lived you had to take many risks and Oscar was never one you wanted to take. And thinking you wouldn’t lose him if you followed our brain, not your heart, was exactly what drifted him away from you.
You zoomed out more often and you couldn’t really make it stop. At work, taking the bus, in line for checkout.
Another Friday night came up. You lay in bed, faced the ceiling, tried to not think of Oscar but whenever you finally were able not to think about him, you were brought right back to him.
The phone on your bedside table went off. Texts, questioning if you would come tonight or not. You didn’t want to.
She’s not gonna be here tonight, Sad Eyes added after you had left him on read for too long. For a second you were shocked to see those words. Then it didn’t surprise you that he might have figured out why you had been so absent the past weeks. He knew Oscar and you pretty well.
With a groan you got out of your bed and contemplated if it was worth it changing into other clothes. It wasn’t. Hoodie and shorts were fine for a Diaz backyard gathering.
Only a handful of people were there when you arrived. But the fire was burning, high.
You flopped down on a couch and pulled your bare legs up, the fire warming them. Someone sat down next to you with a thud. You turned your head to Oscar who handed you a can of beer. For a second you wanted to decline, go home and hide under your blanket. But that little tug at his lips made you take the can and open it.
A little while both of you stayed silent. You stared into the flames all while trying to ignore that Oscar closed the distance between you a little more every other minute. Until there wasn’t an inch between you anymore and his thigh burned hot against yours.
He cleared his throat. „So,“ he whispered carefully, only for your ears to hear it, „is this how you wanted us to be? Distant? Not sharing secrets anymore?“ It hit right in your guts.
„No,“ you bit your lips.
„Huh.“ Oscar scoffed. He didn’t send angry vibes – stressed out ones. „It’s not too late, you know?“
„For what?“ You turned to him and found him staring at you. Oh, how his face glowed, illuminated by the fire.
Oscar smirked: „To kiss me.“
The sudden pull towards him, created by his words, made you jump up. The sudden move was even for you a little shocking. So… you stormed off. His footsteps following you didn’t make you come far. Around the next corner, he made you stop with a hand around your wrist. „Wait“, he softly turned you around.
Out of breath. Out of excuses and blankets you could hide under. Out of your mind you stared at him. „What about your hyna?“
„She’s not mine and I’m not hers,“ he stated, simple as that and you believed him. Within the last couple of weeks he, damn it, he had fooled you to realise it all.
„I’m not gonna kiss you or anything, Oscar.“
Laughter was filling the darkness. His deep-out-of-the-belly one. You loved that one so much because it was rare. And contagious.
„Am I a fucking clown or what’s so funny?“ This time, though, it didn’t make you laugh yourself. It made you furious.
„Last time you said that, you kissed me a minute later.“
It took a little while to sink in. To go back in memory, view the night before your eyes. Tequila blurred memories of pushing Oscar away because he tried to touch your face over and over again. Pushing him away when his lips brushed against your cheek. Telling him, that you wouldn’t kiss him. Trying to resist him. And then finally giving in and being the one to kiss him.
„I’m not repeating my mistakes.“
„No, you’re not.“ Oscar stepped closer and placed his hands in your neck. He wanted to prevent you from escaping again. „That’s why you’ll do it. To correct the way bigger mistake of thinking that not giving into your feelings would be the way to make sure we would always stick together.“
The heart inside your chest ached. Because he was right. It was torture to accept it but even more torture to slowly drift away and eventually lose him. Sometimes, you had to jump, not knowing what would be next, right? Sometimes, that was the only way to survive.
You closed your eyes. His body wasn’t touching yours, only his hands on your neck. Your brain was still screaming at you but the longer this distance between your bodies existed, the more your heart just wanted pull him in. So you did.
When you opened your eyes, you tiptoed and pressed your lips on his. For a few seconds he didn’t kiss back, probably startled that it was actually happening. But when Oscar understood that this time, you wouldn’t back out, his tongue welcomed yours and his hands were all over your body. You stumbled back, crashed into the house wall behind you, but didn’t stop kissing him.
Oscar eventually drew back to look at you. To study your face and trace along your cheek. A faint smile tugged at his lips. You were scared but also very much excited.
He kissed your temple and instead of heading back for your lips, he wrapped his arms around you tightly. There hadn’t been a hug ever since that tequila night and only now you realised how much you had missed his protective arms. You swivelled around, felt his hands lightly brush your back and then tiptoed to kiss his neck every so quickly. The little tease brought his lips finally back to yours and within another break, when he stared at you, Oscar wanted to say something but didn’t. And he didn’t have to say it out loud because you already knew.
Fear is a bad reason to make decisions on.

[August 2015]
Sofia’s cab drops her off in her old neighbourhood. It’s only been a month, but the trip to Europe really changed her perspective. Cesar is already waiting at the curb to greet her. At least that’s what she thought. To be fair, it is in part because of that…
“Oscar’s out.” Cesar says before Sofia is able to give him a hug, stopping her in her tracks. She stills for a second, blinks a few times and slowly nods.
“Okay, I’ll…good. Let me just put this away and then you’ll tell me more.” She gathers her words.
“Why don’t I tell you myself?” She hears from behind her back. She swears she can hear him smirking. She lets go of her things, spins around and smacks him right across his face.
“Well…are you coming inside or not?” She asks as she picks up her things and marches inside. Cesar gives his big brother a reassuring smack on the back and leaves the front yard. Oscar groans and goes in the house. He finds Sofia angrily throwing her clothes out of the suitcase.
“Sof-“
“Why are you out already? You were supposed to be released next year.” She interrupts him.
“Good behaviour.” Oscar smiles and Sofia stops unpacking.
“Leader of the Santos out on good behaviour? You must be joking.” She snorts.
“Look, Sofia, I made a mistake. I’m aware and I was doing some real soul searching in prison and-“
“Oh, spare me, Oscar. Don’t start with that bullshit, you did some soul searching in juvie. Yet look at where we are now. So, excuse me, but I’m not about to start believing your lying ass.” She yells. She’s so angry at him and at herself too. She thought she got over this. But this unpleasant surprise really threw her off.
“I know. How was Europe?” He switches the theme, hoping to get her in a better mood.
“Good.”
“Is that all you’re going to say?”
“What am I supposed to say, Oscar, hm? You haven’t been here for three years. Am I supposed to tell you who was there with me? The names won’t tell you anything. It’ll just be an empty story and I refuse to use empty words on someone that will not understand what this trip meant not just to me but everyone that was present there.”
Oscar puts his hands up in surrender and leaves Sofia alone in the house. As soon as the front door closes, she sinks to the floor and starts crying. She hates herself for feeling so much at the near sight of him. And she hates herself more when she glances at the floor and a picture of a smiling couple is staring at her. She bites her lip, puts the frame on her nightstand and calls her boyfriend.
[September 2015]
Cesar started his first year of high school. Sofia is so proud of the young man he has become. But she has noticed that since Oscar returned, Cesar is more involved with the Santos. But because his legal guardian is back, she doesn’t have much of a choice but to stay out of it. She hasn’t spoken to Oscar since she returned from Europe and Cesar moved back in with his brother. She was adamant on staying as far away from him. In return she also distanced herself from Cesar and that hurt – more her than him. In the three years he lived with her, he became her little brother and she was ready to do anything for him. She still was. She cursed herself as she walked in the backyard of Oscar’s house. He was working on his Impala, like old times. She knocks on the opened garage doors and he quickly spins around, to look who disturbed him. His hard gaze softens when he sees her.
“Princess. What brings you here?” He smiles, bringing two barrels and sits on one of them. He lights up the cigarette and offers her one. She still doesn’t smoke.
“I took care of Cesar while you were away and he was advancing – in class and socially. He has a future beyond the Santos and he deserves a better life than this.” She motions to the small house and backyard. Oscars posture changes.
“Better than mine, that’s what you mean?” He interjects.
“Yes. Oscar, you made your bed and there is no turning back, but it’s not too late for Ce-“ She doesn’t finish as Oscar stands up so quickly, the barrel falls on the floor with a loud thud.
“You’re saying it’s too late for me?” He yells at her.
“It’s been too late for you, the second you took over the Santos!” She yells back.
“Not all of us had a choice like you, sweetheart. So drop that condescending tone or get the fuck off my property.”
“That’s my point. Cesar does have a choice, if YOU let him.”  She punctuates with a tap on his bare chest and walks away. He always thought it was amazing how one person could infuriate him so much. In his rage he grabs the barrel and smashes it at the wall of the garage as soon as Sofia’s out of earshot. His breathing is hard and he lights up another cigarette. It’s then, that Cesar walks in the backyard and Oscar takes him around the neighbourhood. Screw Sofia and her patronizing tone and innuendos. He knows what’s best for Cesar. He can’t let his baby brother look or be weak. And he has a plan in place to make sure that no matter what happens to him, Cesar will be taken care off, without Sofia’s help this time.
[November 2015]
Sofia was awoken by her phone that has been ringing for over three minutes. Whoever was calling her was determined. She rubs her eyes and grabs the phone and screams into it.
“Whoever is calling me better be fucking dying!”
“Sofia…please come back. I-I really need you to be here.” Cesar’s voice shakes as he whispers.
“Cesar? What’s happening? Where are you? Are you safe?” Her hands start shaking. She could feel how scared he was.
“It’s Oscar. H-He wants me to…”
“Just stay where you are, I’ll be there in 30 minutes.” Sofia quickly puts on a shirt and jeans. Ewan groggily gets up and stares at his girlfriend that is throwing clothes on in a maddening pace.
“Sof, what are you doing? It’s midnight.” He yawned.
“It’s Cesar…” Sofia answers without looking at him. Ewan quickly gets up as well and starts putting on his own clothes.
“What are you doing?” Sofia stops and looks at him.
“I’m not letting you go alone. And I don’t want to hear anything else from you.” He pecks her cheek and offers her his hand. Soon they’re speeding through the city and Sofia looks at her phone intensely, following the small dot on her screen – Cesar’s phone.
“Stay here.” Sofia instructs Ewan and jumps out of the car, running to the red Impala and sees Oscar handing something (a gun probably) to Cesar. She’s next to Cesar’s window in mere seconds, grabbing the gun out of Cesar’s hands and dismantling it.
“Hell no.” Sofia hisses and glares daggers at Oscar. He glares back at her, his nostrils flaring and he’s trying so hard not to yell and attract unwanted attention.
He looks back at the intended target and sees that Latrell already left the park. Oscar gets out of the car and marches to Sofia. It’s the first time since she’s known him that she’s afraid. She takes a step back but stills as she sees Cesar, completely in shock at what was just asked of him.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?! You think you can just stick your nose in Santos business?!” He screams at her.
“What’s wrong with me? What’s wrong with you?! How dare you do this to Cesar?! I get it, Oscar, you’re back and Cesar is your responsibility, but I took care of him on my own for three years while you were locked up and I care for him. And I will fight you every second at every corner, if you try to derail his life, like you fucked up yours!” She screams back at him. She realizes then that Oscar is not paying attention to her anymore; he’s looking at Ewan that has been standing near you two since Oscar left the car.
“Is that the reason why you’re suddenly so high and might about our life?” Oscar whispers.
“Don’t blame this on him; I have been vocal about you in the gang for the last 10 years. You refused to listen to me and I couldn’t help you. But I’m not letting you screw Cesar up. Cesar, come on. You’re coming with Ewan and me.”
“Wh-“ Oscar begins, but Sofia interrupts him.
“He’s old enough to make his own choices.”
“I’m going with Sofia.” Cesar says softly, before turning his back to Oscar.
“How could you ask this of Cesar when you’re so stoned I can smell you from 10 feet away. Get your fucking life together, Oscar and stop screwing up others.” Sofia says disappointed and follows Cesar and Ewan to the car and they speed away, leaving Oscar alone in the middle of the street.
[End of November 2015]
So many people are dead. So many people died…all because Sofia put doubt in Cesar’s head. She made a coward out of him. Oscar is kicking, punching and throwing things left and right. All he sees is red. He’s been seeing red for so long, but now, the redness of the world is overflowing, literally. He collapses on the floor, when the front door opens and Cesar walks in. Oscar is on his feet in seconds punching Cesar square in the jaw.
“Are you aware what you have done? What you have started?” Oscar yells and grabs Cesar’s collar. Cesar is crying, scared out of his mind. What he saw at the quince and what happened after and now Oscar’s face filled with rage and contempt.
“Get your things and get out of here.” Oscar says and releases his younger brother, walking into his own room, slamming the door behind him. Sofia…she’s the reason this has happened. She’s the reason why his younger brother is now unprotected from the Prophets. He’s searching his closet for one specific picture. He finds it but he can’t bring himself to tear it apart. So he stares at the picture. His arms around her, giving her a small kiss on the cheek as she smiles at the camera. The first ever date they had, just before he went to juvie. She refused to go out with him again. It took him three years to convince her to give him another chance and then the police came. He had a plan then. He was going to put the gang life behind him, it wasn’t too late for him then. Together they were supposed to take Cesar to a safe place. It wasn’t supposed to be like this, she wasn’t supposed to save Cesar from him. Finally, he breaks down and he realizes all he has are missed opportunities, wrong choices and so much rage. He doesn’t want to live like this. But he picks himself up, dusts himself off and puts the picture in the back of the closet, away from everyone’s eyes.

Temporary - Oscar Diaz imagine Part 6
Previously...
"De nada princesa." He winked before stepping out into the yard, a chorus of 'spooky!' coming from the Santos as he closed the door behind him.
A cough from beside me brought me back to earth, turning to see three sets of eyes on me, Ruby and Jamal looking as though I'd killed somebody right then and there and Cesar with a knowing smirk on his face.
"What?" I asked innocently.
------------------
"What did you do?" Jamal asked, still stood staring at me with wide eyes.
"I have never, ever, seen an actual smile on that guys face." Ruby muttered, watching the front door as though Oscar would magically walk through it any second.
"He's got a point." Cesar added making my eyes move to him. "He's my brother and I've never heard him call anyone 'princesa' before, let alone offer to let a girl stay over with no repayment, if you get what I mean." He smirked as he looked at me, his eyes holding a knowing glint.
"Maybe I just have that effect on people." I shrugged with a slight laugh. "Anyway, what's this about a school dance?" I asked in attempt to change the subject.
"It's on Friday and we're gunna get freaky with it." Jamal sung as he moved his hips in what I think was supposed to be a 'sexy' way.
"Okay, that's gross." I stated pointing at the younger boy as he slowly stopped dancing, crossing his arms before flopping down on the couch besides me.
"What is with you people and throwing water on my flame?" He groaned to himself.
"Jamal, baby, you need to have a flame for someone to put it out." I spoke with false sympathy, laughing as he rolled his eyes and mimicked me.
"How were the school dances in Cali?" Ruby asked leaning against the kitchen counter as he watched me.
"Uh, I didn't actually go to any." I shrugged thinking back to how me and Jess would just take a couple bites down to the beach and drink the night away.
"You didn't go? Like, to any?" Cesar asked with a surprised look on his face.
"Not that I remember no, I used to just go down to the beach and get drunk." I shrugged with a small smile.
"You should come." He continued making me look up to him in slight confusion. "To our dance." He clarified with a smirk.
"Oh, well in case you haven't realised I finished school a couple years ago, and I didn't even go to yours." I smiled at his offer.
"So? We can bring dates from other schools, or not from school at all, this is freeridge, it's a pretty relaxed deal." He shrugged, the smirk still on his face.
"I'm not sure that's going to a school dance with a fourteen year old is such a great idea." I muttered unsurely.
"You're overthinking things here Lia." Jamal said loudly as he pushed himself up and stood next to Cesar and Ruby. "God, you're definitely related." He spoke to himself as he looked up to the ceiling.
"Hey!" Me and Ruby yelled at the same time making Jamal raise his eyebrows in an 'I told you so' style. "But he's right." Ruby shrugged. "It's nothing serious just a dance, besides, I thought you'd be up for some fun after whatever just happened." He continued.
"Ruby's right." Cesar nodded, all three boys stood watching me and waiting for an answer.
"Fine." I sighed in defeat. "You're on." I smiled.
--------------
"Thank you again." I smiled as Oscar grabbed what he needed from his room before spending the night on the couch.
"Ain't nothin'." He shrugged as he headed towards the door, fresh shirt and shorts in hand.
"I'm going to the school dance with your brother." I blurted out stopping him with his hand on the doorknob. "Oh my god that sounded so much stranger out loud." I groaned as I flopped back onto his bed staring at the ceiling.
"Why?" He snorted as he turned round, dumping his stuff on a set of drawers before he stood at the side of the bed looking down at me in a mix of confusion and amusement.
"They was talking about the dance and I mentioned I'd never been to one, then Cesar offered to take me." I shrugged before sitting up and looking up at him. "It's not that strange right?"
"You're 19 and going to a school dance with my brother." He said matter-of-factly as he looked down at me with a raised eyebrow.
"I know it's so weird." I half groaned, half laughed as I thought about what I had agreed to. "You know you don't have to sleep out there right? I'm more than happy to, this is your bed after all." I mentioned, running my fingers through my tangled hair.
"A princesa should sleep on a bed, not a couch." He gave me a small smile and a shrug.
"And what about a caballero?" I asked making him look at me in confusion. "Well, you were my night in shinning armour." I teased with a smirk, and I'm sure, I saw a hint of pink lining his cheeks before he cleared his throat and it was gone. "Oscar Diaz get your culo into the bed before I tell all your little home boys that you cried at Marley and me." I smirked knowing that seeing Spooky Diaz crying earlier was going to come in handy, not that he'd admit he was.
"A) I wasn't crying, and b) even if I was you wouldn't dare." He muttered narrowing his eyes at me although the small smirk on his face let me know that he wasn't quite 100% serious.
"Try me." I smirked.
I let out a laugh as he sighed loudly throwing his head back before huffing his way over to the opposite side of the bed, pulling his top over his head before throwing himself down dramatically.
"You're such a drama queen, you know that?" I laughed as I lifted the cover and settled down on the pillow.
"Let's remember who's bed this is yeah." He muttered, both of us laid on our backs and watching the plain white roof.
"Was you close to them? Your parents I mean." I whispered remembering Ruby saying that the Diaz brothers had been alone for the majority of Cesar's childhood.
"My mum died when I was younger, couple years after Cesar was born, I don't remember much about her other than she was a jumped up crackhead." He muttered, my eyes widening slightly at how blunt and open he was being about it. "Me and my dad were kinda close when it came to gang business, I guess, but other than that I barely knew the man personally." I felt him shrug from his place besides me. "What about you?" He asked making me scoff quietly.
"Well, I don't know if you've noticed or not but me and my mum don't exactly have the greatest relationship. She's constantly on my ass trying to put me down, she tried her hardest to make me into the housewife that she's always been, and that's just not me." I shrugged laughing slightly. "But my dad." I trailled of with a sigh, a small smile on my face. "He's the greatest man I've ever met, I mean sure, he's had some troubles in the past but he's always put me and mum above it all. Even when it costs him more than he has, he always finds a way to make sure we're alright." I smiled at the thought of the hero that was my dad.
"He sounds like a good man." Oscar whispered making me turn to face him only to realise that he was already watching me.
"He is." I whispered with a small smile, my eyes captured by his as the familiar butterflies from earlier suddenly reappeared, his eyes moving between my own and my lips.
Not risking another interruption he quickly leant forwards and captured my lips with his own, moving our lips against each other's slowly, the cliché of butterflies and fireworks never really making much sense to me until this moment, when I felt it all.
I kept my eyes closed as we slowly pulled away, his forehead resting against mine as he released my bottom lip with a slight pop. Taking a deep breath I opened my mouth to speak before I was interrupted by a quick kiss on my lips before he pulled back completely.
"Sorry, I uh, I shouldn't have done that." He said quietly, looking into my eyes briefly before reaching over and playing with the small 'D' pendant that hung around my neck. "I know you got a boyfriend." He muttered scowling, dropping the necklace as though it had burned him.
"It's alright Oscar." I smiled slightly, bringing my hands up to the sides of his face my thumb rubbing his jawline gently. "I'm done with him, enough is enough, right." I shrugged making him chuckle slightly.
"It's okay." I smiled bringing my hands to the sides of his face, my thumb rubbing over his jawline gently. "I'm not with him anymore." I shrugged making him chuckle slightly.
"Good." He smirked, placing his hands on he sides of my face forcing me to let go of his and hold onto his wrists instead. Giving me one more smirk he leaned in placing his lips against mine as his hands disappeared from my face, reaching behind my neck as I felt the weight of the necklace disappear.
Pulling away I couldn't help but laugh as Oscar threw the necklace towards the drawers opposite his bed, the small chain sliding across the surface before dropping down the back. Letting out a chuckle of his own he laid himself down pulling me towards him do that my head was resting on his chest, his arm wrapping around me waist from behind while his other was folded under his head.
"Night Lia." He mumbled, placing a small kiss on my forehead.
"Goodnight Oscar." I whispered into the otherwise silent room, placing a brief kiss to his bare chest before drifting off into the darkness.
——————
"Aye Spooky! Where you at?" Accompanied by a know at the door make me jump the next morning as I was getting myself a glass of water in Oscars kitchen the next morning.
Since I'd always been an early bird, as my mother would put it, it was no surprise that I had woken up before Oscar and Cesar, my head resting on Oscars chest with his arms wrapped around me tightly.
"Spooky man, open up!" A different voice called from outside again accompanied by a know that was more like banging.
Sighing to myself I debated whether to go and wake Oscar or to just answer the door myself, yet another knock on the door answering my question for me.
"Can I help you?" I asked as I opened the door to be met with the same Santo that had stepped up to Diego yesterday along with another one that I recognised from the Monse and Cesar fight, the one who tried to step up to me, bitch.
"Where's Spooky?" The bitch asked as he looked me up and down with smirk, only then did I remember that I was in the same clothes I'd slept in, a pair of Oscar's boxers and my tank top, luckily I had remembered to put my bra back on when I'd gotten up this morning.
"How 'bout you show me a little respect before I slam this door in your culo feo." I smiled sarcastically crossing my arms over my chest before the other guy got my attention.
"Hey, uh, Lia right?" He asked with furrowed brows like he was trying to remember. "I was there when your boy came for you." He smiled slightly.
"Right." I nodded. "Thank you for that." I smiled sincerely, genuinely thankful that he had stepped in.
"I'm sad eyes by the way." He smiled as he stuck his hand out for me to shake. "And that's Johnny." He nodded over to his companion.
"Lia." I smiled putting my hand in his and shaking it lightly. "But you already knew that." I laughed.
"Is spooky here or what?" Johnny huffed against the door frame, once again letting his eyes roam my half naked body.
"Spooky's gunna kick the shit outta you if you don't stop looking at her like that." Cesar's voice made me jump as he came to the door with a glass of juice in one hand. "Here." He smiled as he handed me the juice while taking the water from my other hand.
"Oh, thank you C." I smiled as I took a sip. "Oh shit yeah, you guys wanna come in?" I asked quickly remembering the two Santos stood waiting in the doorway.
"Thanks." Sad eyes laughed as he made his way in, fist bumping Cesar on his way.
"Apologise." I said, putting my arm across the doorway before Johnny could walk in, looking up at him with a smirk as he glared down at me. "Apologise for acting like a jackass or you can wait for Spooky out in the yard." I shrugged as he looked at me in disbelief. "Oh, and it rained last night so the couch is slightly damp." I shrugged again as I went to close the door before his hand stopped me.
"Alright, I'm sorry." He smiled sarcastically as he tried to take a step inside.
"You're sorry for what exactly?" I smirked as I stepped in his way again, getting a kick of amusement at the scowl on his face. "Well, I'm waiting." I sighed tapping my invisible watch on my wrist.
"I'm sorry for being a jackass." He groaned rolling his eyes. "Happy?" He sighed as he looked down at the smirk on my face.
"Very." I smiled as I moved out of his way to let him in, closing the door behind him.
"Aye spooky! Where you been man? Damn hyna trying to make me wait inside." Johnny cheered as Oscar appeared from the hallway in nothing but the pair of shorts that he'd slept in last night.
Sure, Oscar Diaz wasn't exactly rocking an eight pack and abs of steal, but my god was he something to look at first thing in the morning. I couldn't help but blush as his eyes landed on me, scanning me up and down quickly before he looked back to Johnny, giving him an uninterested look before shaking his head and heading into the kitchen.
"Lia." He called looking over his shoulder at me. "Come here a second." He added, motioning for me to go over to him.
"What's up?" I asked standing next to him as he opened the fridge only to from when it came up empty.
"I was gunna ask if you wanted anything but I gotta go to the store." He groaned rubbing a hand over his tanned head.
"I can take a walk to that cafe down the street, mama coco's is it?" I asked recalling seeing the small cafe a few times since I'd been back in town.
"Nah." He muttered shaking his head, closing the fridge and heading back into the living room. "Johnny, go down to mamma coco's and grab me a coffee and one of those roll things I like." He told him before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a twenty and throwing it onto the Santos lap.
"Do you normally sleep with cash on you?" I asked amused knowing that he had slept in those very shorts. "My bad." I giggled as he turned to look at me with an eyebrow raised and an amused smirk playing on his lips.
"Nah, the girl just offered man." Johnny shrugged as he picked up the cash and held it out for me to take.
"I don't care." Oscar muttered as he pushed his outstretched hand away. "What do you want?" He asked looking over his shoulder at me.
"I'll have a tea with two sugars please." I smiled at him. "Oh! And a blueberry muffin!" I added excitedly, smirking when Johnny rolled his eyes.
I laughed as Johnny stood up with a huff before making his way out of the house, with one last laugh I made my way back to Oscars room to put on my clothes from yesterday since the rest of my stuff was back at Ruby's.
"Weren't you wearing that yesterday?" Monse's voice made me jump as I made my way back into the living room that was now occupied by Oscar, Sad eyes and the core 4, plus Olivia. The core 4 was dotted around the room, Sad eyes was laid back on the recliner in the corner while Oscar and Olivia was on the couch, their thighs brushing slightly, a wave of jealousy washing over me before I shook it off, he wasn't mine, I had no right to be jealous over silly little things like that.
"Uh yeah, I haven't been back to Ruby's because, well, ya know." I shrugged slightyl before turning to the blonde girl. "You must be Olivia." I smiled over at the young girl, I'd never met her before, or even heard of her before mum and Geny told me about he staying.
"That's me." She smiled. "You're Lia right?" She said, crossing one leg over the other subconsciously pushing hers and Oscars legs closer together.
"And my date to the dance on Friday." Cesar grinned as he came over to where I was stood and out his arm over my shoulders.
"Strictly friends only, got it." I raised my eyebrows as I looked to him, making him chuckle and nod in agreement.
"Since when are you taking her?" Monse asked confused, ignoring the looks that the rest of the crew was giving her instead opting to keep her attention on me and Cesar.
"Since last night when she told me that she'd never been to her own school dances." He shrugged casually, to him it was no big deal but I could see I'm Monse's eyes that she was hurting.
"You know I don't have to go, not if you two were planning on going together." I said quickly, not looking to be in the middle of a teenage love triangle or whatever this shit was.
"Nah, we're just friends, right monse?" Cesar shrugged as he pulled me close to his side, Monse not missing the gesture.
"Right." She mumbled looking at the ground just as Johnny stormed in and threw a paper bag down onto the ktichen counter before putting the drinks down considerably gentler.
"Oh food!" I grinned as I pulled away from Cesar's hold, jumping up on the counter and opening up the bag, immediately pulling out my blueberry muffin and digging in, sending a muffin filled smile in Johnny's direction. "Gracias." I smirked as he shook his head and leant against the wall.
"Aye where's mine foo'?" Oscar piped up, leaning forward in his seat, resting his elbows on his knees as he watched me finish my muffin, throwing the wrapper to the side before taking a sip of my tea.
"I'm the bag." I shrugged with a smirk, watching as his eyes lit up with amusement while Ruby and Jamal watched with horror on their faces.
"Is that right?" He asked smirking at me with an eyebrow raised.
"That's right." I nodded as I blew into the lid of my tea before taking another sip.
"You not gunna bring it here?" He asked tilting his head to the side slightly like a confused puppy.
"I'm sorry, remind me how much you're paying me to be your waitress again?" I asked sarcastically, laughing as Ruby and Jamal's eyes widened that little bit more.
"I'll get it for you Mr Spooky Sir." Jamal said quickly getting up from his seat and rushing towards the bag only for me to grab the bad and hold it behind my back.
"Nu-Uh." I muttered shaking my head with a chuckle. "I'm gunna need the owner of the bag to come and collect it thank you." I smirked looking from Jamal to Oscar who was watching me with an amused smile on his face before he pushed himself to his feet and walked over.
"I'm right here." He smirked making Jamal jump as he appeared behind him. "Can I get my food now?" He asked as Jamal scurried back to his spot making me laugh.
"Of course." I grinned handing the bag over. "What do I get for keeping it safe for you?" I asked quietly, knowing that the other people in the room were watching the interaction.
"I could think of something." He muttered, a smirk on his face as he stepped closer.
"Oh yeah?" I smirked back as he took another step so that we were basically chest to chest only having to look up at him slightly from where I was sitting on the counter.
"Yeah." He mumbled before taking my head in his hands and bringing his lips down on mine in a slow but butterfly filled kiss.
The joint "Oh my god." From Ruby and Jamal making us pull apart slowly with small smiles on both our faces.

CHAPTER 2
Tumblr media
(I know I took quiet a minute to post this but I lost my drafts in my old phone cause it fell in water 😭 and I didn’t back anything up but it’s here it also took a while cause I don’t really like how it turned out im having major writers block so some feedback would be great ps. Thank you for the likes and reposts it means a lot to me
I couldn’t sleep all night after Cesar told me that Oscar is getting out tomorrow. I don’t know what to expect or what’s gonna happen. I cuddled up on the couch as I thought back to when Oscar and I were younger. Him and I had always known each other, not personally but my house was down the street from his, so when I would walk to school, I would walk past his house . As we got older, Oscar and I always exchanged glances but we never talked.
I had never even told my friends about the glances that we shared, he didn’t tell his friends either, it was just something between us. I can still remember when one day I saw him with those beautiful dark curls and the next day it was all gone. Or when I saw his Santos tattoo for the first time.
I always thought Oscar was attractive but I wouldn’t ever dare act on it. He was a santo and I was a goody two-shoes, I never thought he was interested in me. I was the complete opposite of the ideal girl for him in the position he was in as a santo. But he didn’t care about that. He was different. He is different.
But, I’m concerned about how Oscar getting out is gonna affect Cesar. He seemed real distant after he told me that Oscar is getting out. I’m scared about what’s gonna happen
Cesar and another santo went to pick Oscar up, I didn't want to stick around for when they would come back so I decided to go to my mom’s house.
“Mija, you can't hide here forever. You’ll have to face him eventually” my mom stated softly as she stroked my hair lovingly.
“I thought you didn’t want me anywhere near him” I stated as I turned to look at her.
“And I don’t, I told you multiple times when you were a teen not to go anywhere near him and that he was no good for you but look where we are now “
I rolled my eyes with a sigh, “ I have Tony, he’s good for me, isn’t he?”
“Well, from what you’ve told me he is but I’m your mom, I know you don’t love him”
“I don’t know how to leave him, he’s been so good to me but he’s just not-“
“He’s not Oscar “ she started cutting me, “ You’re gonna hurt him if you keep lying princess”
“I told myself I’d learn to love him and I will, it’s just taking a while”
My phone buzzed and I looked to see it was a notification from Cesar
Cesar💙: he’s out.. we’re heading back now
I turned my phone off and told my mom I was going to my room. I was gonna relax and take a nice bath and everything was gonna be fine.
I was writing in my journal when I heard a knock on my door and my mom opening the door halfway.
“Caesar is here to see you ,” she smiled softly and patted Cesar on his shoulder.
“ Hey, Cesar” I said to him as I put my notebook in my bedside drawer.
I saw his eyes looked red and I tugged his wrist to sit down on my bed.
“What happened, what’s wrong?”
“Oscar is forcing me into the gang, I don't want to Y/N..”
We both knew this was gonna happen even before Oscar got arrested.
“Do you want me to talk to him even though I really don’t want to see him but you know I’d do anything for you..”
“We both know nothing's gonna change his mind, I’m scared of him, I don’t think even you could change his mind..He asked about you, I think he wants to see you”
I rolled my eyes but I’m not gonna lie and say that didn’t warm my heart. My mom knocked on my door telling me that she was gonna do a quick run at the store and then pass by Geny’s house. My mom and her were very close practically sisters. Cesar and I talked but then he got a message from Oscar so I walked him to the door, but when I opened it, I felt my heart beat a million times more..there he was the love of my life, Oscar Diaz.
Cesar cleared his throat and started walking out “I’ll wait in the car”
The 1966 Cherry red Chevy Impala. Oscar and I share a lot of memories together in that car.
“You’re not gonna give me a welcome home hug”
I finally looked up at him.
“I’m seeing someone Oscar” I stated as I crossed my arm, and looked down. As much as I wanted to hug him and kiss him, I couldn’t.
He chuckled at this “Yea, I’ve heard, but he’s not me, you’re still mine Y/N..”
“Oscar, it’s not the same anymore”
“You can lie to yourself but we both know, you still love the way I still love you” he gently touched my chin and closed the door, leaving me to wipe away my own tears.

A Good Day for A Wedding
Prompt:  The day started gloomy, not quite letting on what beautiful things could happen on a day like this.
WORD COUNT: 1.8K
PROMPT LIST
Tumblr media
The day started gloomy, not quite letting on what beautiful things could happen on a day like this.
Oscar was already gone when (Y/N) had woken up, putting her into a foul mood until she drank her coffee. She firmly believed that a kiss and a cuddle from Oscar in the morning always made her day go well and she had yet to be proven wrong.
She checked her phone as she sipped on her coffee, hoping to find out where Oscar had disappeared to but all she got was a text telling her that he would be out all day and Cesar was out of the house too but (Y/N) guessed that he was out with friends, wanting to make the most out of summer break.
Alone at the house, (Y/N) pondered over what to do with her day, she had already cleaned the house the day before and there was enough food in the house so she didn’t need to go shopping but thankfully she was saved by a text from her best friend Lena.
“Nails and shopping day??”
(Y/N) grinned at the text before she sent off an agreeing reply, there was nothing wrong with a bit of retail therapy.
.•° ✿ °•.
(Y/N) frowned at the overcast sky, the clouds were dark grey no doubt foretelling the downpour they would receive at some point.
“If only the weather was nicer” (Y/N) complains, “We could have totally had a few cocktails on the porch after we were done if it was sunny”
Lena glanced at the clouds and frowned herself before she shrugged her shoulders, “It’s okay, we’re going to be inside all day anyway”
“Hmm, I suppose”
Lena rolled her eyes as she pulled into the shopping centres parking lot, “Stop pouting. Now, which first, shopping or manicure?” (Y/N) thought about it as they made their way into the building before she finally decided on shopping first,
“Hmm, shopping first, nails after”
Lena hooked her arms in hers and shot her a smile, “Your wish is my command!”
Lena hummed as she looked through the clothes on the rack, she wasn’t really paying attention to what she was looking at as she tried to think of a way to get (Y/N) to buy a particular dress. Oscar told her that as long as it was white, it didn’t matter and even though it sounded fairly easy, Lena hoped that (Y/N) didn’t become suspicious.
“Find anything you like?”
Lena jumped out of her skin when (Y/N) suddenly appeared at her shoulder,
“Oh fuck, you scared me!” Lena threw a mock glare at her friend before turning back to the racks, “But, no I haven’t. What about you?”
(Y/N) grinned as she showed her friend what she had picked up so far, “I got a few shirts and this really cute skirt”
“Oh, that is cute. Where is it? I want one too”
Lena picked up a skirt for herself before they headed to the tills, but she didn’t forget about trying to convince (Y/N) to get a dress.

Three stores later and Lena had been unsuccessful in trying to convince (Y/N) to buy a dress that she had found, they were all different styles but were white yet (Y/N) wasn’t interested in any of them.
Lena could tell that (Y/N) was getting tired and she was too so she suggested a little break for the two of them,
“Smoothie break? We’re close to the store that does your favourite”
(Y/N) lit up at the suggestion of smoothies and before Lena knew it, she was getting dragged by an enthusiastic (Y/N) towards the smoothie shop.
After they had gotten their drinks, they sat on one of the benches and eagerly slurped their smoothes and though Lena wished she could just lounge around with her friend and drink smoothies all day, she was on a time constraint.
They were aimlessly wandering around the shopping complex when (Y/N) suddenly stopped in her tracks, eyes locked on a display in a store. The mannequin was wearing a flowy white midi summer dress with short loose sleeves, it was gorgeous.
“Do you like it?” Lena asked, secretly holding her fingers hoping that (Y/N) did enjoy it.
(Y/N) nodded, “It’s so pretty.”
Lena grinned, “Go try it on!”
(Y/N) nodded and made her way into the store and found where the dresses were before going into a changing room whilst Lena looked for shoes that might match the dress.
“So...what do you think?” (Y/N) stepped out wearing the dress and the heels Lena found and spun around.
“Oh, it’s gorgeous...you’re gorgeous” Lena gushed, trying not to cry.
(Y/N) looked at the mirror looking at herself from different angles, “You think?”
“Yes absolutely! You have to get the dress”
(Y/N) nodded and smiled at Lena, “And the shoes of course” .•° ✿ °•.
The girls returned to the car after buying the dress along with getting a manicure and Lena began to drive them back but with a detour.
“Hey, where are we going? You missed the exit”
Lena looked over at her friend and winked at her, “Just a minor detour, don’t worry. I promise you’ll like it”
(Y/N) raised a curious eyebrow but nodded along, it wasn’t as if she was going to jump out of the car anyway.
They arrived at the place which was a small building and what looked like to be a large garden area to (Y/N). They stepped out of the car and (Y/N) looked up at the sky and noticed the dark clouds had disappeared,
“Look, the sun’s coming through”
Lena looked up at the sky and smiled, “Lucky for us”
(Y/N) was shuffled into the building and then guided into a small room before disappearing and (Y/N) was left alone and confused with only her bag with her newly bought clothes.
She wasn’t left alone for long before there was a knock on the door and someone walked in and (Y/N) who assumed it was Lena was surprised when she saw who it actually was.
“Mom?!” (Y/N) was more than confused at this point, “Why the hell are you here? Actually, why the hell am I here? Why are you dressed up?”
(Y/N)’s mother ignored her questions as she made her way over to the bag and opened it up,
“Lena said your dress was gorgeous.”
“Mom!” (Y/N) shouted, fed up “What the hell is happening?”
Her mom sent her a calming smile, “Go get changed into the dress and I’ll tell you what is happening whilst I do my hair”
Knowing that she wouldn’t be getting any answers anytime soon, (Y/N) got dressed and then sat in front of the table with a mirror on it as her mother began to work on her hair.
“Oscar is a very wonderful man, he cares for you a lot. You two are the best for each other and I know you’ll live a happy life with him.” Her mother smiled at her through the mirror, “That is why he decided to do something for you, something big.”
“What?”
Her mother took her left hand in hers and touched the engagement ring that rested on her finger.
“Oh” Suddenly it (Y/N) and she understood what was happening, finally understanding why Oscar had been gone since the morning and why Lena had taken her out and kept pushing her towards white dresses.
“Are you saying that Oscar set up a wedding?”
“I am and he along with your friends and family are out there waiting for you”
“Oh shit” (Y/N) wanted to cry but she quickly blinked away her tears
“Save your tears for when you say your vows” Her mother teased, “You ready? Your father is waiting outside.”
(Y/N) quickly checked the mirror to make sure her makeup was still fine and her hair looked good before she left the room with the mother and met up with her father who was chatting to Lena.
“You ready?” Lena handed her a bouquet with a teasing smile. She herself had changed into different clothes to fit the occasion.
(Y/N) pulled her friend into a tight hug and whispered into her ear, “Thank you”
Lena kissed her on the cheek before she disappeared with her mother leaving just her and her father.
Her father held his arm out, “You ready princess?”
(Y/N) took a deep breath and nodded, “I’m ready”

(Y/N)  and her father stepped out into the garden as Wedding March played from a nearby speaker and as (Y/N) walked down the aisle, she saw all the knowing the smiles on the faces of her friends and family meaning she was the only one who was in the unknown but she didn’t care.
Oscar was up ahead by the altar dressed in a suit with Cesar next to him as his best man and (Y/N) smiled at both of them as she slowly made her way towards them.
The outdoor area was decorated with balloons, flowers, confetti and everything else possible needed for an outdoor wedding. It was simple yet more than enough.
Her father placed her hand in Oscar’s and gave her a kiss on the cheek before he took a seat next to her mother and (Y/N) turned to face Oscar with a grin.
“You are a wonderful yet crazy man, do you know that?” (Y/N) whispered as the officiant began the ceremony.
Oscar sent her a wink before he turned to the officiant to pay attention.
.•° ✿ °•.
With the ceremony over, the reception was in full swing. The altar had been placed aside and tables had been brought out, the food was flowing along with the drinks and Cesar and his friends were the DJ’s.
(Y/N) and Oscar had hidden away in the room that she was in earlier for a few moments of privacy,
“I can’t believe you managed to set this all up without me noticing” (Y/N) giggled as she admired the new ring on her finger.
Oscar wrapped her up in his large arms and pressed a kiss to her head, “You don’t mind that I did all of this without you?”
(Y/N) shook her head, “Absolutely not! The amount of love and care you put into this makes it beyond anything I could have done. Today is amazing and so are you”
Oscar gave her one more kiss before they headed out towards the garden,
“C’mon we’ve got to mingle, eat and drink”
And as (Y/N) fed Oscar some cake, she realised she was wrong. Today, for the first time ever, went well even though she didn’t get a morning kiss and cuddle from Oscar.
