{so he focuses on rescuing and distracting the creature. Quickly urging civilians inside buildings and flying up high so it gets harder for the thing to get him. He can hear the screams and destruction of the creature as he swoops around him and focuses his energy on distracting it while flying.}

{The more time passes the harder it gets. He doesn’t know how long he’s been doing this but the pain doesn’t stop and the creature just seems to get faster and stronger. The fog and spore certainly doesn’t help either. With a sudden wrong turn his vision clears to show a fist of twisting mycelium flying straight at him. He doesn’t get time to react before he’s thrown a few miles away into another building.}

{this time he hits concrete of a tall skyscraper. Pain circulating his body like lightning striking down a poor tree. He then peals off the wall and falls onto the hard mycelium covered ground, which does slightly cushion his fall. He’s able to hear the creature walk away through the ringing in his ear, blood dripping down his face with the taste of iron in his mouth. It only hurts so much before his vision blurs and soon everything goes dark.}

Hi and welcome! This is a blog for the Demon Spawn Universe, also referred to as Gilded Cages. This blog is run by admins @weepingwriter and @creepingspores

On here, we will be talking about the DS universe as well as our Ocs, Messiah and Marigold. Here you will learn more about both the world of the Demon Spawn universe and how the characters interact.

This is a 16-17+ blog as we will be talking about harsher topics like S/A, Religious Trauma, Murder, Cannibalism, ETC. The admins are also adults. We would prefer not to interact with someone so many years younger. Please respect this. You will be blocked if you don't.

The only real rules is respect our boundaries and be respectful. Just because these characters are dark does not mean you can come out and be nasty first thing out of the blue(This doesn't involve flirting). Most asks will be responding in character unless directed at the admins. The things characters say don't automatically reflect how we are or how we would respond. Don't take anything said too seriously, we are all here to have fun!

We allow shipping with our characters as long as you don't take it to seriously and don't try to ship your underage oc with them.

{the city is in shambles. Spores and mycelium creeping up skyscrapers like it’s some sort of game. Even while flying through the sky with a mask it’s hard to breathe. Cuteguy can’t tell anymore if the screams are from civilians or the mushrooms begging for justice.}

{Suddenly he hears a loud, ear piercing scream in the distance. Without much of a thought he swoops down toward it. The spores and growing fog instantly blind his vision making him wish he at least wore some kind of eye protection. But before he can dwindle on it he crashes through the window of a building. Glass piercing his wings in an instant as he collapses on the floor.}

{it hurts but not as much as losing your partner so he pulls himself up. Dizziness hitting him but that’s the least of his concerns when he spots what had been screaming outside the window. A monstrosity made of mycelium and rage. Tendrils and spores shaped together to create an almost human facade.}

{he freezes as he stares at it. The things head turning towards him as strings of moss and spore rip and reshape themselves into something worse. It knows he’s not the target but it’s clear the anger it feels dissipates any kind of reason. With another gut wrenching scream it lunges a hand at him forcing Cuteguy to scramble up to grab his bow.}
