anyway ik this isnt exactly what you were thinking but all i can think is "kid with strict parents" noctis and "zero adult supervision" prompto. and they get into sooooo much trouble together

it goes from "being glad that noctis is getting out of the house and hanging out with other kids from his class" straight to "forced to work a minimum wage job as punishment" rather quickly 😂😂

not that prompto is a bad kid, far from it. it's just like in ATLA where Aang is competent on his own and Sokka is competent on his own but put them together and you get two idiots? yeah exactly that

regis is perfectly fine with it and even finds it amusing. he thinks of noctis getting into trouble as a rite of passage of being a teenager

gladio, ignis, and the crownsguard on the other hand are pulling their damn hair out chasing these two boys around 😂

they were instructed to just hang back and let noctis do his thing, protect from a distance and all that. except some of the shenanigans require a more hands on approach in the form of ignis's famous scolding lectures and gladio's famous slap to the back of the head

lots and lots of "they're not seriously gonna do that, right?" and "oh gods, they're already doing it"

Ex: Prompto being the main character of a silent hill

Ex: Noctis playing resident evil 8

sooooooo i'm actually a gigantic weenie (of astronomical size) so I don't have nearly enough experience with psychological horror games to be able to write this 🥴😭

my husband's played almost all the resident evil games and he ADORED silent hill 2 and he's told me about them, but second hand retelling and skimming the wiki doesn't do the games justice.

like i'm enough of a weenie that I couldn't even play Undertale. i had to sleep with the lights on for like two weeks after reading the FNAF wiki. Still can't complete the silent realms in Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword. I was having a heart attack during the sewers chapter in Stray. OG ch 13 of ffxv took me FOREVER to get through.

I SOOOOO appreciate you thinking about me for this (i say, as if there are sooooo many other active ffxv authors for you to choose from 😭💀) I wish i could fill it but I'm just not the one 💔💔💔
