5. Your favorite moments in Star Wars?

Skeleton Crew: KB talking about her disability, that she is different and it does change her life and affect what she can and can’t do. And then Wim still wanting to be her friend 🥹 that healed child me a little.

Andor: Can anything top the One Way Out speech? Maybe. But I ain’t seen it yet.

Star Wars Rebels: Maybe too many to count, but the part where Sabine decides to stay on Krownest with her family and the farewell between her, Ezra, Kanan and Chopper stands out in my mind.

The Mandalorian: Any soft Din and Grogu moment is a masterpiece but my favourite moment of the series has to be in the first episode when Din learns to ride the blurrg. The music, Kuiil’s encouragement, Din’s frustration melting to determination… it just feels like the first true moment Din sheds the hard Mando persona and we see who he really is/who he really can be.

TBoBF: The part where Boba teaches the Tuskens how to ride speederbikes. Classic!

Kenobi: Everything on Daiyu. I know it’s supposed to be a scummy city but Daiyu might actually be my favourite planet. Lights! Colours! City at night! I’m hooked. (But more specifically, the Haja interactions, the way he was just a funny con-artist to begin but then we see he’s actually got a good heart. I was so surprised by that and I loved it)

15. How big of an influence do you think Star Wars has had on your life? 

Well, I wouldn’t say it’s changed anything about my life, but it sure has been my favourite escape. I would credit it for giving me a sandbox to explore and hone my creativity—I can think in larger story plots thanks to it.

3. What's your favorite part about being in the fandom?

Aside from the truly insane amount of amazing art, fic, edits, etc that I get to engage with every single day? The wonderful people I have met through the fandom and the sense of community, especially in the Rebels/SW animation side of the fandom.

5. Your favorite moments in Star Wars?

AGHGHGH too many to list here, but some of my favorites are the arena fight in Episode 2, Finn and Poe's meeting in TFA, and ALL OF REBELS. All of it. Especially Trials of the Darksaber and Holocrons of Fate.

10. What bit about Star Wars never fails to get you emotional?

Basically whenever our beloved found families get split up. So Jedi Night and Family Reunion and Farewell make me sob every single time. And Victory and Death from TCW.

15. How big of an influence has Star Wars had on your life?

I would say it has had a really big influence. It's been my main fandom for over five years now and has really shaped my hobbies and my life off tumblr. To a lot of my friends and acquaintances  "they love Star Wars" is one of the most prominent things to know about me. I went to Disneyworld for the first time ever purely because of Galaxy's Edge and that got me into a whole other area of interests that I had no interest in exploring before.

Probably for the films, the duel on Mustafar; I just love the symbolism, of course the lightsaber battle itself, and the dialogue is on point. Otherwise- and I know this might sound bad, hear me out- Plan 99 (the entire episode). It’s just the drama, the constant hits, the emotion, it’s an amazing episode.

17 - your favourite protagonists

My favourite protagonists are, in no particular order: Tech, Din Djarin and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Boba Fett and Ahsoka come close behind. I just immediately loved Tech for reasons unbeknownst to me as soon as we met him, Din Djarin is just so kriffing cool, and need I explain Obi-Wan?

13. What is your earliest Star Wars memory?

okay I love this question. I remember watching ANH when I was like 4 ish? so funny story, like many 4 year old girls, I was DEEP in my princess phase, and my parents got me to watch it with them because they told me there was a princess in it. and let me tell you I felt LIED to lmao. like yeah Mom I guess she's a princess but where's her ballgown and stuff. which is absolutely hilarious to me in retrospect because once I did get into Star Wars Leia was instantly my favorite character and she's still my #1 fave character. honestly she's just one of my favorite fictional characters ever. the other early memory I have is seeing TFA in the theater with my family bc that's what got me into Star Wars :) I was like "wait this shit is fun lemme go rewatch those other ones" and I started reading fanfic and stuff and that's how I got obsessed (although I was a die hard OT only fan for a while haha). sorry that was long lol

14. BESIDES THE ROTS NOVELIZATION What is your favorite Star Wars book?

confession: I have yet to read the ROTS novelization. I know, I know, I really want to I just haven't gotten around to it yet. BUT it's okay because I have VERY strong feelings about another book... Lost Stars by Claudia Gray. if that book has 0 fans, it means I'm dead. I read it for the first time in middle school and I've probably reread it at least 4 times since then. the writing is great, really unique story, I love Thane and Ciena. everything about it is just so good, the angst, the drama, the romance *chefs kiss*

17. Pick one Star Wars line to describe your life, what would it be?

probably "I have a bad feeling about this" because I'm just... constantly anxious 💀 and I regularly have to ask myself if something is actually wrong or is just ✨anxiety✨

Star Wars 22: What part of Star Wars lore could be removed and change the series for the better?

I'll cut it down to three, because I'm sure I could think of more:

The World Between Worlds. It serves no purpose, it actively removes stakes and suspence from the world and serves as the start of the ruining of Ahsoka Tano's character. Remove it entirely.

The Mortis lore. Everything to do with that arc is hot garbage. Again, it serves no purpose, it simply limits the Force in a way that is so short-sighted and close-minded... it only serves to show the limits of its creator.

The entire Sequel Trilogy. Everything made after it has been actively worse, because all storytelling in the 30 years between RotJ and The Force Awakens is entirely constrained by the Sequels. We have limits and set arcs for beloved characters that don't fucking work for them, and ultimately we gained nothing of import from them. They don't even have proper themes! The new characters are bland and have no character arcs! They should have been set like 200 years in the future and Luke and Leia could have just been Force ghost cameos.

10. What’s a ship you've unwillingly come around to?

This was a hard one, as I've been pretty set in my ships for a long time. I think the only ship I've changed my opinion on toward the positive is obianidala (obi-wan x padme). I used to be firmly in the anakin x padme crowd, even with Anakin being so toxic, but Lord knows I love Obi-wan more.

13. Were the Jedi right or wrong to ban attachments? What constitutes an attachment?

Oh, good question! In my fics, I've tried to deal with this a few times. Being Catholic, I automatically assumed in the beginning that the Jedi were supposed to be like our priests, chaste and unmarried. But maybe it's not supposed to be quiet that deep. Maybe they mean not letting others become so important that they would cause the Jedi to lose focus on other important stuff. It's suppose to be "The good of the many outweigh the good of the one." Wait, that's the wrong franchise. LOL

Anyway, I can see why the Jedi would ban attachments, but I think maybe it shouldn't be as strict as it appeared? (i.e. Anakin and Padme having to hide their relationship)

21. Best canon example of a healthy relationship in Star Wars?

Well, if Rey and Poe had been allowed to progress past what we saw at the beginning of TROS... Truthfully, I think this is a toss up between Hera x Kanan and Poe x Finn. They always have each other's backs, they rarely seriously argue, and they very obviously care about each other. I will always be Kanera, and if I can't have Damerey (or Jedistormpilot!), then Stormpilot it is.

1. Who introduced you to or what got you into Star Wars?

I do believe it’s a rite of passage to watch Star Wars with your dad when you’re a little kid 😆 I don’t really remember watching it the first time or really liking it all that much back then (I’ll let you in on a little secret: I’m still not a big fan of most of the movies 😬🫣)

I’m a nineties baby. I was a little kid when the Prequel trilogy first came out. I remember the hype and the adverts and the merch. My older brother was kinda into it. I remember he had a Phantom Menace colouring book and some other lore book about PM, too. And he had the Lego game on the computer. I remember pulling up a chair and watching entranced as he played. That’s where I would say I actually grew an affinity for Star Wars. (I loved exploring the Naboo places and just destroying stuff in the cantina for studs 😆 JarJar was my favourite)

But I only really, really got into it late 2020 when I finally sat down and watched the Mandalorian.

3. What's your favourite part about being in the fandom?

I’ve kinda always used fandoms as a way of actually understanding the media itself. So much flies right over my head when I watch something and I miss so many cues and subtleties, so I like to read analyses and such to actually get what’s going on. I never can just read or watch something once and be done—if I really like something, I have to pick it apart and see all the details.

Also, reading other people’s fics and seeing their reasoning on why they changed this or that for their story is endlessly fascinating to me.

9. Favorite songs from any and all the soundtracks?

I did answer this one, so I’m gonna go a little further and say my favourite character themes are Din, Sabine, Boba, and Omega’s 🎶 (mandos and clones always have the most fire theme music)

Okay, my thoughts on the following:

8. There should be more of this type of fic/art…

Honestly that’s a hard one, because there’s so many incredible things that are created daily around here, but I think I really love seeing fics that do one or more of the following: showing the psychological and inner workings of a character, showing the emotional bond between two characters in ways that canon doesn’t or doesn’t go deeply into, and that reads like poetry (not necessarily structured like a poem, but it just feels like a piece of art in and of itself).

I know at first glance that list seems like most fics go into those topics, but there’s a few that I’ve come across that live rent free in my head that have truly just blown open my understanding of either a character and their motivations and personality, or that are so elegantly crafted that they become a whole new piece of art that stands on its own. I’m really drawn to the emotional and relational aspects of stories, so anything that adds to my perspective on that really impacts me.

10. What’s a ship you've unwillingly come around to?

For this I’m going to go with Rexsoka. I was not okay with them as a romantic pairing at all under any circumstances for awhile (for obvious age-related reasons), but I’ve read enough fics where both Rex and Ahsoka are full grown, consenting adults, and their bond and camaraderie are illustrated so beautifully in a way that grows into a romantic bond instead of just a platonic bond, that I can appreciate it in those circumstances. Especially if it’s a modern AU. I do think that their bond and love for each other is special and deep regardless of what direction it takes.

However I am not at all comfortable with intimating that they liked each other in that manner during the Clone Wars or while Ahsoka is still a teenager. So it really depends on how it’s being portrayed.

Having a full on lightsaber battle in the rain at Galaxys Edge with my sibling while we were cosplaying as Anakin and Obi-Wan/tied with the night that Ezra Bridger came back.

SABINE'S SUITE. JOURNEY INTO THE STAR CLUSTER. THRAWN'S WEB. KANAN'S THEME. AHSOKA'S THEME. KEVIN KINER IS A MUSICAL GENIUS.

Edit: oh my gosh I can't believe I forgot the Niamos remix from the Andor wedding I've been listening to that nonstop.

Thrawn and Maul, my beloveds. I'm so excited for the Maul show and the Thrawn books are some of my favorite Star Wars novels.

🪐 i already mentioned dathomir, so i'll say another favorite: lothal! i really liked lothal felt like a character in rebels. plus i like the architecture :D
