Din carrying Grogu properly

There was a hot take here that was all like, “Ezra would never have separated Din and Grogu, he loves Mandalorians!” and just… lol.
Ezra Bridger loves precisely one Mandalorian (Sabine) and tolerates her family by virtue of them being her family.
Mandalorians in general? He thinks they are cray cray.
He would have taken one look at the bickering and infighting between Bo and Boba and Din and been all, “OKAY THE BABY STAYS WITH ME UNTIL Y’ALL CHILL THE HELL OUT AND LEARN TO GET ALONG.”
#in fairness: Ezra met one of the softest mandalorians actually gifted with more than an ounce of common sense#the minute he met others he was like 😳#which is totally valid#but those protectors and even the wrens were still pretty tame in comparison to din and his tribe#(and it was after seeing bo-katan that Ezra said 'I don't want to be a mandalorian'#which makes me think seeing sabine made him want to be one. then he changed his mind XD#ezra bridger#star wars rebels#the mandalorian

observation: among a certain subset of tumblr users, the term “blorbo” has become unchic, but the concept it describes is still important; and so it has been replaced with “The Character”

I wanted to read this in Sabine’s voice, and as soon as I started, I didn’t even need to try, it just came. That’s how perfectly in character this speech (and this moment) is.
I especially love the call back to Ezra’s message from season 1. That was such a pivotal moment in the show and for the rebellion and, of course, Lothal—I’m so glad you referenced it!
And all the talk of family 🥹🥺😭 oh Sabine, sweetie… it then leads so beautifully into her announcement at the end
Thanks so much for writing this out!

How cool would it be if, instead of running away, Sabine shows up to this memorial service on Lothal as calm and collected as Mary Jane did in Into the Spider-Verse?

Thank you, Governor Azadi, although I'm still not sure about calling myself a hero. And if Ezra were here...I don't think he would be quite so sure about it either. I've been thinking a lot about Ezra - both in painting this mural and in preparation for this day - and about what he would tell you, or what he would want me to say to you now, after all this time. And I think that he would want me to remind you of is what he said the very first time he spoke to you: We're strongest when we stand together. Because while it is true that Ezra lead the charge for the Liberation of Lothal, it took all of us, each and every one of you, working together, to bring us to this beautiful day. Thank you, Lothal, from the bottom of our hearts. To Ezra, and to me, you're all heroes. That's why, when I created this art piece, this monument as Governor Azadi called it, I didn't just paint Ezra. I couldn't. He may have been the heart of our crew and our mission, but in the end, he knew that he never could do for Lothal what he hoped to do, what he ended up doing, alone. To represent that, this mural shows the now familiar-to-you faces of the Spectres, the crew of the Ghost: Spectre One, Kanan Jarrus, Jedi Knight; Spectre Two, General Hera Syndulla; Spectre Three, C1 10P, also known as Chopper; Spectre Four, Captain Garazeb Orrelios; and Spectres Five and Six, myself...and Ezra. And I hope that, whenever you visit this memorial, whenever you take in this art, that you'll remember that we didn't consider ourselves rebel leaders or heroes of any kind at the time. We were just a a group of people - people just like you, working together, hoping we could make the galaxy a better place. Because Ezra was right. The Ghost crew, these six individuals, were so much stronger together than they ever would have been alone. Over time, we became more than just a team. More than a ragtag crew of rebels harassing the Empire. To each other, we were more than that. For a little while, we were a family. And nothing was more important to Ezra than family. In fact, if you weren't careful, Ezra had a way of making anyone and everyone his family. That's what he was best at. Bringing people together. And because he brought me here, to you, that's how I've come to think of all of you, too. As family. Which is why it's going to be so hard to say goodbye. Before he left, Ezra asked me to do something for him, and, for a long time, I thought he meant protecting Lothal, the planet and the people he cared for so much. So I did. I stayed, finishing what we started on Liberation Day. But lately, now that that work is done, I think that there might have been more to it. I think that there is something else now that I'm being called to do. There is still someone missing from our family. Governor Azadi, people of Lothal, I know that this is supposed to be a memorial service. I know that the common belief is that Ezra Bridger and everyone else who disappeared from the sky that day must have died. But...I don't believe that's true. I never have. Ezra is out there, somewhere, and it's time for me to bring him home.
Thank you, @rebelscum218 for the inspiration to give Sabine her voice back.

Headcanon: The field medics are the fastest troopers in the GAR. They have to book it during a battle in order to be of any help to fallen troopers, and even then they’re constantly aware of other troopers that also need their help, with even more getting struck down by the second. A fast medic could mean the difference between life or death for a battalion.
That’s all with several pounds of armor and gear constantly strapped on. Put field medics like Kix on a running track, wearing civilian attire instead of gear, and they’ll beat everyone, hands down.

working with little kids is so dangerous. you get one kid who has a unique way of speaking & then spend the rest of your life with an internal monologue like “me’s go bathroom?”
#there’s gold in the notes#and I’ll add the time a little kid I was taking care of threw up and looked up at me and asked (so seriously) ‘what did you do to me?’#like. buddy. what made your little 3 yo brain think I have the power to cause you to spontaneously throw up? why would I want that?#but it has snuck into my mind every time I’ve felt unwell#ref#reference

Headcanon that Grogu has three front-facing toes and one backward-facing toe on each foot and uses them to his advantage while he climbs up a tree, walking along a thin branch like a tightrope. Mando’s mild concern about him being up that high turns to immediate alarm when he sees Grogu turn on his perch and start to tip back over the branch, forcing Mando to dart over and try to catch him
Only for the kid to remain up there, dangling upside down by his little four-toed grip on the branch and giggling at his guardian’s momentary parental panic
#at first (this is like five years ago) I thought Grogu had three toes like how he had three fingers#but then I saw someone draw him with that fourth heel-toe (don’t come @ me I don’t know what it’s called) and I think I noticed yaddle and#yoda had the same design so since then I’ve always tried to remember the heel-toe#because yes. little climbing menace Grogu is important to me#grogu djarin#the mandalorian
