Starker Haven Summer Sign Ups

Welcome to the first event of 2025 and the first event hosted by the Starker Haven discord server!

This event will officially start on June 23rd! You can sign up anytime between now and the end of the event/end of August.

From an earlier vote, we have picked out four prompts for people to choose from, along with a free-form option. Participants can choose a combination of these prompts, doing one work that covers multiple or a different work for each prompt! Those who sign up before the event starts will get a role in the server to get early access to discussion channels.

We have also set up an archive of our own collection that will be opening up on the 23rd with the event.

If you're posting on tumblr, you can also use the event tag starker haven summer and the same tag with the prompt you're using.

Event Guidelines

The minimum word count is 500 words. 

Moodboards must be at least 3x3 pieces. 

NSFW content is allowed, but not obligated. 

You must be at least 18 to participate in the event. 

There is absolutely no maximum to what you wanna create. 

Any use of AI in these works is not welcome. Do not post any AI posts in the context of this event. 

During the event, you can choose to work on whatever prompt you want. There is no limit as to how many works or how many prompts you can join in. You can also join in after the event has started, on the 23rd of June, as long as you fill up the sign-up form.

Does anyone remember a fic where Peter rebuilds Jarvis from Friday’s base code. And then like Jarvis, Friday *and* Karen are all built into the penthouse and do different things. It might be a Tony comes back from the dead fic? Peter definitely was staying in the penthouse and there was either some mutual pining or angst happening.

Pretty sure he also calls Friday “baby girl” and all the AIs refer to each other in like sibling context.

Starker Discord Server

Hello! I made a post about a week ago searching for an active Starker DC server, but found none (update: there is actually another one! Super Starkers. I think you can find it on disboard). To fix that, we created a Starker discord server, Starker Haven, with several channels, bots, roles, etc.

There is a verification process, but please don't be scared off by it, it's merely reading the rules and answering a few questions. (No ID is required at all, but proof of not being an antishipper is.)

We are an 18+ server (no minors), and strictly proship.

Prompt/idea for a fic -

Post Endgame/maybe even NWH - Peter ( either omega if ur into that or even trans or even just weird spider mutation) is pregnant.

Has a kid - calls him Benjamin Edwin Parker - he falls into another universe a few years later - He is trying to get home, explains he has a kid and there won't be anyone there to watch him. They (avengers Tony alive) feel bad for him and use Wanda to try to confirm what he is saying is true (maybe he was pulled there to help them etc)

He explains the kids name " Well Ben after my uncle who was like a dad to me and Edwin after my..partner's dad figure and yeah he is dead so its not like he can watch him he didn't even know I was pregnant when he died hell even I didn't know but I thought it would be funny if his brother could say his name cause it spells out BEP like the sound" then Dum-e makes a beep sound that sound like a question " Yeah just like that Dum-e good job! But like I need to get home asap cause like no one is there to watch him "

And that is how they find out that in another universe Tony is gone, and had a kid and maybe just maybe they decided to bring the toddler to their universe cause they still need help

I swear we get this swill every time someone brings up the sheer mass of kiddos faking DID (or who are convinced they have DID because they spend too much time alone and online). Someone says, "but but, it's a mental health problem not a fandom problem!".

Antis, purity culture, and bullying is a mental health problem. It's also a fandom problem. People are getting called ableist for making their characters recover from illnesses, getting called homophobes for shipping a straight ship. It's not a leap to conclude that kiddos who all refer to themselves as Mouthwashing etc characters, and who will rage at you if you even dare block them or say you're not comfortable around them (for obvious reasons), and call you "ableist" over it and continually drag fabricated political bullshit into fandom spaces, is also a fandom problem.

I see a lot of people developing full blown P-OCD because they're scared to ship age gaps and they think anyone who ships Starker (a ship I strongly dislike, for the record) is a pedophile in hiding. P-OCD is a mental health problem. It's also a fandom problem. You can't just say, "oh this is related to mental health, therefore it can't be a fandom problem". Bullying, also, involves hurting someone's mental health, but so much bullying happens in these spaces because of fandom. You can't just disconnect the two. I feel like we just had a conversation about this very talking point a few months ago, someone ended up having to send in a long ask to bury the "but it's not relevant" claim and they did a good job at covering everything, maybe go back and read that?

The willingness of people to believe these minors without basic fact-checking, and to even humor the "well, they could have it, so I'll just err on the side of maybe", absolutely baffles me tbh. You do a minimal amount of research, from the right academic sources mind, and you add up timelines and consider recent events, and there is no way you can reasonably conclude a huge portion of the minors on tumblr have DID. And are so happy-go-lucky about it, "hehe we're all a family sitting in a tree", when it's one of the most severe disorders someone can have. You can barely function. If it exists, it's going to exist in a paltry amount of people to start with. It's sure as heck not going to exist in all these kids. I know it. Does everyone else? Millennials were lucky. We grew up when the internet first was becoming ubiquitous, and a lot of governments and parents pushing hard to teach us we can't trust everything we see on TV or online. Remember the House Hippo ads? But the later generations weren't hit over the head with it. They're drinking in tiktok and discord disinformation and nobody is checking them. And they're sharing all their personal information online, putting their faces behind "alter switches" which are just them changing into new outfits and dancing in front of cameras, and failing to understand just how insane and badly-adjusted they look. And a good deal of other people from this same generation aren't even skeptical enough to hold their horses and go, wait a minute, does this feel wrong or is it just me? I even see people from my generation falling for it because as per usual, there are people who can't fact-check or think critically from every generation, and it's painful. It's so painful!

I am so tired of people acting like DID/system discourse belongs in fandom spaces. Can it be intertwined (like in the case of fictives or people who use kin as another word for fictives)? Yeah, but I see people posting about the discourse unrelated to that and it's like. Come on. You don't post about people with depression or anxiety and act like it's a fandom thing, so why are you doing it to DID/systems? Just block them if they bug you so much. It's what I do.

Hey y'all! I'm slowly becoming more active in the Starker community again and pretty much all my once-active roleplay partners are either ghosted or gone from the fandom now adays, so I'm on the hunt again! I really miss collaborating with others and exploring AUs with my two favorite boys.

I'm open to lots of different tropes and AUs (particularly favs are mafia, omegaverse, college AUs, and villain/SIM Tony, just to name a few). I'm also flexible with length and who I play depending on the plot and partner preferences.

[The jade and the flower spun together. In different directions, yes, but it tied them closer all the while.

And with them, the music jumped and leaped into its climax. Instruments synthesised from the whirring of it's steel internals created a symphony of a distant past, dutifully carried forward into modern day.

Memories turned from a cloudy spring to clear, brought farther than even the mind's internal eye - it was as if the past became present, as if it was all happening again.

The lines of faces were clear and sharp, eyes held the vibrancy of life as if they were real, the feel of rich fabrics were almost overwhelming. 'Twas as clear as summer's best days, warm as them too. The memories carved themselves into the mind anew.

But clarity has a price, see, for blurring the best of the past was not unlike using glasses tinted rose. It hid what wanted to be hid, and now they had no shadow over them.

Shade that lingered back towards the periphery of ones eyes. Starker still with that brightness front and centre, darker with new light as its contrast. Why, those shadowed parts seemed almost to chisel themselves into anything that was not the focus of one's eyes, so to keep that focus was of the utmost importance.

Wouldn't want to experience anything particularly negative, right?

As with any Abnormality, you must respect it and play by its rules, right?

Or else you'd have the have the price carved out from your own flesh and blood, right? There would be things that lingered past the music, right? If you don't focus properly the tune becomes discordant, directionless - and of course you don't want that to happen - then the memories it summons back for you won't be bright, will they? The past it drags back up shall only be the broken shells of once beautiful life, truly.

But that's simple to avoid. Just keep looking forwards.

Been out for a while but you guys can call me Cypher! I’m a 20-something trans female artist currently looking to take some free fandom requests to bolster my page a little bit.

The fandoms I’m currently willing to do stuff for is as follows: MCU, Signalis, MHA, DC, LEGO and any possible Pixar property you can think of!

Now, I got some rules, so read them down below and if you’re interested in what I do, hit me up!

Rules:

No NSFW currently! I’m looking to run a public page which should springboard my business as a creator and I want to make this as smooth as possible to present my stuff.

(Regardless of that, I do want an adult community just because I am an adult and would much rather surround myself with peers instead of kids.)

Any ship counts as long as they’re not illegal (so Starker and the like), and as long as the ships are all consenting! I especially like polyships if anyone’s into those sorts of pairings!
