With Ava re-elected mayor and Elliot now being established as Thea's partner, there was no way he could avoid being here for the tree lighting ceremony. He wasn't exactly eager to stand with his future mother-in-law and cut ribbons but he'd do it for Thea if she asked him to. He just opted to take the opportunity to walk around and get himself a warm drink before he had to do that. He was heading towards a mulled wine stall when he noticed Ty. "Look who it is! Elliot decided to take a walk at night. He wore a trench coat and a hat so no one could really see his face. He walked on the sidewalk passing a few people here and there, he just needed to relax a little. He realized he was close to the restaurant Ava worked at. 

Their first meeting was pretty well. Though her uncle was definitely protective. But she was cute...gorgeous even. Maybe he was falling for her. At least they were in the same line of work...somewhat, but he still worried about putting her in danger none the less. Sometimes he wished he could be as bold as Leo was when it came to women. 

He shook his head at the thought and looked up. He heard a noise coming from an alleyway, sounded like a struggle, he went to go check it out, crossing the street.

  “ Doesn’t it? ” Ava continues massaging behind Elliot’s ears and neck. Each of her gestures are thoughtful, purposeful. She keeps rubbing her fingers on his skin, slowly, trying to relax his muscles. (Careful not to hurt him, of course.)

   It feels wonderful to take care of someone. Ava is happy Elliot is enjoying her touch.

           Okay ! So for now, I think I’m going to be deleting any old threads that aren’t starters ! I will write a list below of who I owed, and what is being removed. If you still want our thread, give this a like and I will reply to our thread too, if not, I’d love to start something new with you...I just know that now, with the new university year starting, I won’t be able to get them all done and having anxiety over that, just isn’t healthy ! i am very sorry for any inconvenience this might have.  

I’ve got to reiterate for my own piece of mind, that it is not the ship / verse that I don’t want, but the current threads that I am going to struggle to reply to. Having 60+ drafts is making my muse flat-line, and it really is because I don’t love what we have, it’s because I’m an idiot and don’t keep up with threads as well as I should do. I really want to write with everybody tagged underneath this post though, and I am really sorry for letting you down.

Apparently, being officially the mayor's daughter's boyfriend automatically excluded him from being able to participate in the pumpkin carving contest. Which was a bummer even if his pumpkin carving skills were never going to win him any prizes. It didn't mean that he couldn't hang around and help out someone else with theirs. Which was exactly what he was doing, sitting down on a hay bale and helping Dallas carve out the eyes of his pumpkin. "Don't let Ava see me. She made it very clear i am not allowed to carve any pumpkins."

With their parents insisting on getting together for the holiday, Elliot and Thea had no choice but to comply. Both the mothers wanted to host, until they agreed that Ava would host Thanksgiving and Nancy, Elliot’s mother, would be the one to host Christmas. And whilst he was still anxious about being around Ava and Richard as Thea’s boyfriend, he knew they had to pull through this for the sake of their families. He had been doing his best to try and avoid interrogations as much as possible, which is why he ended up in the kitchen helping Thea prepare for the dessert course instead of being out there socializing with the families. This was the closest thing to alone time he could get with Thea today, so he had to savor it while it lasted. “T, quick question. How mad would Ava be if I have a double portion of pumpkin pie after insisting I was too full for more turkey?”

When Thea had asked him to be her plus one to Bennett’s vow renewal, Elliot had said yes without giving it much thought. Only to realize as soon as they were walking into the reception that Ava and Richard were here and his parents were going to find out that he was accompanying Thea in the next couple of minutes. And whilst he was more than delighted to be with her, he had to admit that he was terrified of any encounters with her parents during the event. Surprisingly, however, that did not seem to be the case. Returning back to Thea after heading to the bar to get a drink for the two of them, Elliot was still scrambling to figure out what his last interaction was all about. “I just ran into your father,” he said as he handed over the drink to her. “He was clearly trying not to talk about us, so we just kept talking about your car.”

Elliot was never a big history buff, but he had to admit that all of this was quite fascinating. There was so much thought that went into it, and the exhibits were interesting even for someone who wasn’t into the subject that much. He had just left Thea’s parents’ side, letting Ava continue with her subtle campaigning, and moved over to grab a drink from the bar. As he approached, he noted what seemed to be a similar face and approached him with a smile. “Marcus?” He called out, not wanting to go and clap on someone’s shoulder without knowing it was indeed the man he thought he was.

Being a plus one to what seemed to be the event of the season for the Summit Lakers, Elliot was having no trouble finding people to hang out with apart from  Thea. Not that he didn’t want to spend every moment with her, but he knew that the second they got into the cabin rental booked for the night, then it will be just about them. Besides, with Ava and Richard around he was watching his every step and being overtly cautious to not mess up something. He also knew that Bennett meant a lot to her and he wanted her to enjoy the evening as much as she could. When he came across the man of the hour at the bar, however, he needed to pass along his congratulations. “Bennett, hey!” He greeted the man with a smile. “Congratulations. You guys did a marvelous job, it’s amazing. And seventeen years? Wow, that’s impressive.”

        “I probably shouldn’t mention it,” Ava remarked, her words half muffled around the scanner clenched in one corner of her mouth, at least briefly, before she pulled it free to run the device along his forearm, eyes scanning the readouts that scrolled across her corneal output.  “Seeing as how I enjoy both your company, and your credits,” a smile tucked upwards, a glance up to meet his gaze briefly.  “But there are places downtown equipped with the top of the line equipment made specifically to handle synthetic repairs,” she felt compelled to advise him, again.  “I can repair the damage to the nervous system, and patch you up and ... the nanites in your system will repair the damage within a few days time, but it could be done before you walk out the door at one of the higher end shops.”
