I made these today, for no particular reason honestly

I was just scrolling through photos again, looking at Transformers refs, and I was looking at TF One’s Onyx Prime’s hands, and how they look like how I probably should have drawn that one OC I made, Stinger’s hands

So then I decided to try drawing a One style Stinger, just for the hell of it

I did kind of enjoy it, I’ll be honest. She had a good number of changes from her original to fit with the designs we see from the movie, but she looks decently enough like her original

I admit it isn’t great looking overall, but it’s decent

Also I gave her diamond shaped pupils because honestly, we need more pupil shapes in this style; we know they aren’t all circles because of D-16 and his hexagon eyes, I want some more variety

Then I made a more Animated style head design to fill up a bit more space. And personally, I think it turned out way better than the other two, probably because it’s the closest to her original style, outside of some of the face things

I also didn’t give her lipstick, but eh, I don’t want to

Then I decided to do a more Earthspark style since I’ve dabbled in that one as well, and while it’s not horrible, I don’t think it’s as good as the Animated one

So uh yeah, I have slightly more content of this OC now. I still don’t really know what to do with Stinger though. Like I know she’s an unknown entity merely disguising herself as a Cybertronian, as well as having a terrifying alternate form (though also probably a normal-ish alt mode), and she very rarely talks, possibly to hide her pretending but it might not be. But like, I don’t know what her deal is, who she aligns with or interacts with, or what her power level is

She’s also gotten some slight design changes now, specifically with the middle of her head, but I realized while making this that her design’s a bit ill-defined, I don’t really know what a lot of stuff here is. Nor do I even have the best grasp of her color palette, and I feel like maybe I need to change it more

I also should probably draw more from her general design inspiration, who’s far more white than blue (even if she’s meant to be blue) and has a rather different look to her

Ah well, that’s a topic for if I ever decide to do more with her in the future. At the very least she’s got more going for her than some certain sparkling OC ideas that I’ve never returned to (or almost all of them in general, unless your name is Lux and you’re an endless struggle to design)

But yeah, enjoy whatever this is, if you wish to. It’s not great but it’s something I guess

Win for corruption and web avatars everywhere! New deadliest spider has been discovered in Australia and it’s basically just the old deadliest but twice as big!

It also happens to be called the Newcastle Big Boy and it’s one of the few spiders that will actively attack nearby humans. Fangs are sharp and long enough to pierce leather! Have fun with that info!

Sypnosis- Stinger is all energy, all excitement, the kind of person who throws himself into battle without hesitation. You? You’d rather keep things quiet, steady, and slow. Somehow, though, he always finds himself gravitating toward you, as if your calm presence is the only thing keeping him from burning out.

♡ The first time Stinger noticed you, it wasn’t in a fight or a dramatic moment. It wasn’t anything exciting, actually.

You were napping.

Right in the middle of the Hero Association’s break room, curled up on a bench like the world's softest looking cat. Your arms were folded under your head, and the faint rise and fall of your shoulders told him you were either asleep or about to be.

Meanwhile, he had just finished beating a Deep Sea monster, his pulse still racing, adrenaline thrumming through his veins like electricity.

"Man, I need to move," he muttered, bouncing slightly on his heels. That fight had been insane, and his body wasn’t done riding the high.

That’s when his eyes landed on you again.

Completely still. Absolutely unbothered. A direct contrast to the mess of energy vibrating in his limbs.

Before he even realized it, he was walking toward you.

"Yo."

Nothing. Not even a twitch.

He tilted his head. How the hell were you sleeping through this? The room was packed heroes moving around, people yelling, and yet, you looked like you hadn’t been conscious for years.

Stinger knelt next to the bench and poked your arm. "Hey, you good?"

Your eyes fluttered open, the laziest blink he’d ever seen. "You’re loud," you mumbled, voice still heavy with sleep.

Stinger grinned. "And you’re half-dead. You sleep here now?"

"Only when my bed feels too far away," you murmured, shifting slightly. You didn’t exactly invite him to sit, but you didn’t tell him to go away either.

So, naturally, he took that as permission and plopped down beside you.

And in hours, he felt his heartbeat settle.

♡ Stinger learned something very quickly about you.

You weren’t the type to say things outright.

You wouldn’t run into his arms after a mission. You wouldn’t tell him you missed him. You wouldn’t text him first, wouldn’t cling to him in a traditional sense.

But your love was in the details.

It was in the way you always waited for him to sit down before leaning into his space. It was in the way your fingers brushed against his, hesitating for half a second before curling around his wrist. It was in the way you reached for the fabric of his sleeve absentmindedly, as if just making sure he was there.

And for a guy like Stinger, who had spent most of his life running headfirst into danger, that kind of quiet, subtle love? It destroyed him.

One evening, after a long mission, he stumbled into your apartment.

Normally, Stinger was all grins, all noise, never letting exhaustion show. But tonight, his shoulders ached, his ribs were bruised, and the weight of being a hero felt just a little heavier than usual.

He expected you to ask what happened.

Instead, you just… reached for his wrist and pulled him toward the couch.

No words. No questions. Just a simple tug, guiding him down until his head rested on your lap.

"Stay?" he muttered, already half-asleep.

You hummed, running your fingers through his messy hair. "Always."

And that was enough.

♡ "You ever wonder how we work?" Stinger asked one lazy afternoon, arms wrapped around your waist while the two of you lay tangled on the couch.

"You mean how you’re a walking explosion, and I prefer existing at two miles per hour?"

"Yeah, that." He grinned, shifting slightly so his chin rested on your shoulder. "How does that work?"

You thought for a moment. "You chased me."

Stinger scoffed. "I did not chase you."

You raised a brow. "Oh? Who followed me around for a whole week, bringing me snacks and asking if I wanted to ‘hang out’?"

"Okay, maybe I chased you a little," he admitted, laughing against your skin. "Worth it, though."

"Mm." You leaned back against him. "I think you needed someone to slow you down."

He paused.

And maybe you were right.

Because before you, he had never really stopped moving.

He had always been running, always rushing into the next fight, always burning through life at full speed without stopping to breathe.

But with you?

With you, he could be still.

Home wasn’t a place.

Not for Stinger, at least. He had moved around too much, fought too many battles, to really consider anywhere permanent.

But one night, after a long mission, he went into your apartment and found you half-asleep on the couch, curled up under a blanket with your fingers loosely grasping the edge of his jacket.

You had been waiting for him.

Even in sleep, you had been waiting.

And for the first time in his life, he felt it.

That quiet, unshakable warmth. That anchor pulling him back to solid ground. That certainty in his bones that no matter how far he ran, no matter how much energy he burned, he’d always have somewhere to return to.

He bent down, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead before whispering, "I’m home."

And even though you were half-asleep, your fingers curled tighter around his sleeve, voice barely above a murmur as you mumbled,

"Welcome back."

As challenging as arthropods are to draw, I wanted to create a detailed look at one of my two uplifted which I call the Sprites. I actually imagine a story line with these and the other new uplifted the Scurachin who will get their own dedicated post.

Like the rest of the uplifted from my Centauri Universe, the Sprites are hybrids of various Earth animals that possess human level sapience. In their case, the Sprites are a combination of ants, bees, and portia spiders. They consist of four main castes (workers, warriors, drones, and queens) and communicate primarily through pheromones, visuals, and vibrations. The workers, the most numerous caste, and responsible for constructing elaborate nests and communication systems (a network of vibrating web strands) as well as hunting and gathering. Like bees and ants respectively, Sprites are callable of making honey and growing fungi as alternate food sources. Though all castes have venomous vangs, the warriors are the only caste to possess stingers and can spray formic acid. Their role is to protect their colonies as well as assist in hunting more dangerous prey. In normal bee and ant colonies, the drones sole purpose is to breed with the queens (often perishing shorty afterwards). Sprite drones serve a similar purpose but have more individual intelligence due to their larger size they play some leadership roles along with the queens. Being the largest caste members, the queens have the most individual intelligence as their size allows larger brains and more neuron density. Due to this, they play major roles in leadership as well as breed. However, much like bees, sprites actually have a democratic system where important actions (moving locations, gathering spots, attacking targets, etc) are voted on by the other caste members with even the workers suggesting key actions.

As mentioned previously I'll do a dedicated post to my other new uplifted at some point in the future. I'm working full time now so my posts will unfortunately be a little less frequent.
