Students have received emails stating that the notorious phrase, "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free." Is banned on campus, this phrase implies a call for justice and equality for the Palestinian people and their right to their land.

This is a blatant attempt of repression towards the student's freedom of speech, and call for justice. Students as well as citizens should have the right to speak out against genocide, and criticise those that are complicit in it.

So what can you do?

Email the university, demanding that they stop repressing pro-Palestine activism.

hey guys

i’ve been pretty inactive on this blog and, to be honest, i will be for a little while longer. i’m heavily involved in student protests for palestine in my country. right now our local group is focused on crowdfunding for palestinian students studying here who, for obvious reasons, can’t pay their tuition anymore. we’ve collected 10k pln (€2,300) so far and need 12k pln to help the students regulate their finances.

$1/€1 is around 4 pln.

i’m posting it on this blog because i have a pretty large following here and i hope you can help us reach the goal before the next semester starts.

here’s some more official information about our goal:

another perspective foundation presents the youth for youth campaign, the polish equivalent of an international collection organized to support palestinian students who have fallen on hard times due to the conflict in their country. with help from the embassy of the state of palestine in warsaw, we are identifying students in need of assistance to enable them to continue their education in poland. our initiative aims to provide palestinian students with the opportunity to continue their education, despite the adversity caused by the war in their homeland. funds raised through the campaign will be used for scholarships to help cover the living and educational expenses of students in poland.

Students For Palestine Finland have had an encampment in front of one of the uni buildings for a while before the uni came out with this news. The protestors think that what the University did is not enough.

Finland's University of Helsinki has suspended all student exchange programmes with Israeli institutions, according to Yle News.

The university made this decision as a result of the

"catastrophic deterioration" of the humanitarian situation due to Israel's war on Gaza.

The university went further to emphasise that it is ready to help rebuild Gaza's higher education and research system once it becomes possible.
