Read the caption below to learn about the attacks by Ukrainian defenders in rear areas in occupied Ukraine and Russia. 🇺🇦👏💙💛🙏🇺🇦
#Repost @kyivindependent_official with @use.repost . . . Ukraine has been intensifying attacks against the Russian military, logistics, and other high-profile targets in rear areas in occupied Ukraine and Russia, the U.S.-based think tank Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said in its latest assessment on Nov. 12.
At least three Russian officers were reportedly killed in Melitopol on Nov. 11 by an explosion orchestrated by local pro-Ukrainian resistance, Ukraine's military intelligence (HUR) reported.
A day earlier, the HUR said that an attack by Ukrainian surface drones sank two Russian high-speed landing crafts off the coast of occupied Crimea.
Other recently reported attacks included the killing of a Moscow-installed proxy official and former military commander, Mikhail Filiponenko, in occupied Luhansk on Nov. 8 or the rocket strike on occupied Skadovsk on Nov. 9 that allegedly eliminated several high-ranking Russian officers.
Ukraine has also been targeting Russian targets in occupied Crimea and the Black Sea region at least since the summer, leading to a "functional defeat" of Russia's Black Sea Fleet, the U.K. Defense Ministry said.
The Washington Post reported on Oct. 23, citing undisclosed official sources, that Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) and the HUR were allegedly behind dozens of assassinations against Russian targets since February 2022.
The high-profile figures allegedly eliminated by Ukrainian intelligence services included Russian Navy officer Stanislav Rzhytskyi in Krasnodar or Russian military blogger Vladlen Tatarsky in St. Petersburg, among others, the Post's sources claimed.

Genre(s): War & Military
Language: English
Read By: Phil Chenevert
Librivox Recording
First compiled in the 6th century BC, The Art of War presents a philosophy of war for managing conflicts and winning battles. It is accepted as a masterpiece on strategy and is frequently cited and referred to by generals and theorists since it was first published, translated, and distributed internationally. The book is not only popular among military theorists, but has also become increasingly popular among political leaders and those in business management. Despite its title, The Art of War addresses strategy in a broad fashion, touching upon public administration and planning. The text outlines theories of battle but also advocates diplomacy and cultivating relationships with other nations as essential to the health of a state. (Summary by wikipedia)

Geolocated footage reveals that Ukrainian forces continue to make progress. 🇺🇦👏💙💛🙏🇺🇦
#Repost @kyivindependent_official with @use.repost . . . Ukrainian forces have advanced northeast of Kurdiumivka, located 10 kilometers southwest of Bakhmut in Donetsk Obalst, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said in their latest update on Oct. 30.
Additional geolocated footage from Oct. 29 indicates that Ukrainian forces have marginally advanced west of Robotyne in western Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
The Ukrainian General Staff reiterated that Ukrainian forces are continuing offensive actions near Bakhmut and offensive operations in the Melitopol (western Zaporizhzhia Oblast) direction.
In May, Russia seized control of Bakhmut, a location marked by some of the most intense combat during since February, 2022. Ukraine has been engaged in a counteroffensive since June, aiming to reclaim territories in the southern and eastern regions that are currently under occupation, including the town of Bakhmut.
Russia has strengthened its forces in the Bakhmut sector, switching from defense to active actions, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, the commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces who heads the military operations in the east, reported on Oct. 30.
Syrskyi pointed out that the situation on the eastern front continues to be challenging, with Russia escalating its activities in the Kupiansk sector. Here, Russian forces are launching attacks from multiple directions.

Another significant accomplishment for Ukrainian forces. 🇺🇦👏💙💛🙏🇺🇦
#Repost @kyivindependent_official with @use.repost . . . Ukrainian forces had established a presence in the Krynky settlement on the Russian-held Dnipro River's left bank in Kherson Oblast, the U.S.-based think tank Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said in its latest assessment on Oct. 20.
Geolocated footage published on Oct. 19 indicates that Ukrainian forces advanced into the northeastern part of Krynky, a village 35 kilometers east of Kherson and two kilometers southeast of the Dnipro River, the ISW reported.
Russian military bloggers also claimed that Ukraine is trying to establish a foothold near Krynky and continues to maintain a presence near the Antonivsky bridges, only a few kilometers east of Kherson.
The Ukrainian military reported on Oct. 18 and 19 that Russian forces launched air strikes against the village of Pishchanivka – around 15 kilometers east of Kherson – on the Dnipro's left bank, implying Ukrainian presence in the settlement.
Around the same time, Russian Telegram channels claimed that Ukraine had taken territory in the area.
