Ignis stopped in his tracks as he turned to see the male on the ground. He gave a roll of his eyes, hand lifting to adjust his glasses with his index finger. He shook his head before making a gesture for him to stand. “Prompto, you only sprained your ankle. You can continue. Or do you need to be carried?”

Instead of standing as he was silently instructed to do, Prompto went from his sitting position to lying on the ground. A few rocks dug into his back uncomfortably, but he was resigned to stay there. “I’ll never heal properly. I’m useless. I’ll only slow you all down and then we’ll all fail and die,” he said pathetically, completely ignoring the question.
