I've been having very brief and very intense rain showers today.

It's 23 degrees (celsius, 73 farenheit) out, yesterday was 33C/92F and we sometimes have 1-2 minutes of Hydro pump before things are completely dry again.

Can we trade, please? 🥲 We’re due for 100+ F / 37-38 C “feels like” for the next few days (then rain, if fate is kind 8u8).

Ahhh that’s my LEAST favorite kind of rain - super hot day, then a very short squall that turns into hot steam like nooooo.

Well, stay cool! Stay in the shade whenever you can (I live under my umbrella), stay hydrated, wear loose, breathable clothes, & if you start to feel dizzy, sick, or faint: get inside, pull down the shades, & cool down. Heat sickness is nothing to joke about ☀️

✨☀️Happy One Year Anniversary to Hana and Dawn ☀️✨

September is the month of their anniversary. 💚💞

This comm is by the amazing @yumenari. She did a wonderful job with it. I��m so in love with it and all the details Ari drew 🥹💞✨

Some details I want to share about them:

Hana’s outfit is blue and silver because I always think of her as the star in my yume lore.✨ Dawn is golden because he’s the sun to her. ☀️ Lilia is the moon 🌙 and if you look at both of their outfits, you’ll see a moon symbol (find the Mickey lolol jk) [yes, I have to sneak him in there, because it’s me 🥰]

Dawn’s outfit is a combination of Silver’s Fairy Gala If and another outfit I liked.

The flower crowns’ colors are based on each other’s eye colors.

I really love the pose they have 💞 Something about the intimacy of dancing and staring into each other’s eyes. The hand over his heart. Eyes only on each other and no one else, staring into your world.

The two attend a ball together with Dawn being Hana’s escort.

Lilia’s back home babysitting (even though the boys are grown already) and protecting BV as well. He’s pouting but he knows Dawn and Hana can handle themselves.

(They’ll make it up to him later lolol)

When these two are together, can anyone deny the shine both emit? The love they have? ☺️🫶

Wait wait, there are some interesting implications from this episode.

Sun and Neptune talk about “the night they got the case.” “The case” either means the day they decided to start looking into RWBYJ’s whereabouts, or (more likely) it’s a euphemism for the day this became a problem, aka the day Atlas arrived to Vacuo but RWBYJ didn’t. They said it was “stormy” the day they got the case, and although the visuals use a rainstorm, there was in fact a sandstorm the day everyone arrived (plus, Vacuo rarely gets rainstorms).

They said they got this case yesterday. Which means that this takes place the day after volume 8. This explains why Qrow was so quiet and angry.

This also means that a lot got done in one day: Raven arrived, the summer maiden was summoned to the academy, and most importantly, Ozpin’s whole deal was explained. Sun and Neptune kept correcting each other on calling him Oscar/Ozpin, like it’s new information that they’re just getting used to. But also, it’s something that they know about. They know about the maidens, too.

This means they also probably know about the relics.

Meet Chase!

-Ninjago oc, elemental master of light-

Name: Chase Gordon

Age: Varies throughout the canon timeline, but for simplicity's sake I'll say he becomes a young adult around S.O.G, but this can vary if need be

Parents: Danielle Calvert (oc) and Cliff Gordon

Personality: Friendly and reasonably chill, but very impulsive and occasionally smug/ overconfident. He's also a pretty big ABBA fan, if that matters to you.

Pronouns: He/him (cis male)

Sexuality: Pansexual

A vague rundown of Chase's not-so-tragic backstory,

Since his dad is Cliff Gordon, Chase happens to be Jay's paternal half brother. But also.. neither of them know this (at least until after Skybound).

Cliff wasn't present throughout Chase's childhood, and Chase had only ever been given vague details about his father's identity (other than his last name, which his mother gave him so that he'd still have some connection to his father).

Cliff's death was unrelated to Nadakhan, so while it was temporarily reversed by the rewind, that didn't last long, and Chase found out his father's identity soon after (via his mother).

Chase joins the ninja after meeting them in the tournament of elements! He did lose out fairly quickly though, so he spent most of his time there in Chen's noodle mines.

I'm aware that there's already a canonical master of light, but he's very rarely present so I stole his powers (sorry Mr. Pale).
