Thinking about how difficult this must have been for Wymack. Not only was it the first time Jean had shown him the respect of calling him Coach, he was sending him off into the world that had already been so cruel to him. Wymack dedicated his life to helping his kids—and I think he will always see Jean as one of his kids—but he had to accept that this kid didn't want to stay. After the year they all had, I have to imagine trusting the Trojans with Jean was one of the most difficult things he'd ever had to do.
