What is SVDD? If it is a creator fan group is it possible to join?

Hey there, sailor!

SVDD is a group of friends who took refuge together after chaos struck. Some of us are writers, some are artists, some are merch gods, while others scour Twitter and Tumblr for fanart to share, read fic aloud for us, or watch anime together. At the end of the day, we’re just a little group of degenerates who thought it would be fun to organize a zine together.

Unfortunately, we aren’t open to new members. Some of us were burned in the past and we chose long ago to keep our little community small. But we hope this zine is a piece of us we can share with you!!!

Plan of Attack

So, I thought it might be a good idea to release my current plan for the foreseeable future. Top of the agenda are two fics: AEoM's Chapter 13, of course, and a fic that is due for a discord collection by August 3. The plan is to have both finished before August. After I have updated AEoM and submitted the fic to the collection, I'll get started on a specially requested fic that you might have seen some hints about in my previous posts. Simply put, I'm very excited to write it. Then I'll start on Chapter 14 of AEoM immediately after that. Where I go after that depends largely on a few things. I have several wips I have started, and which one I go with depends on whether I feel more like writing smut or angst. Feel free to let me know over the next few weeks if you'd rather read shameless crack-y smut or a slightly painful emotional feels trip with a bittersweet ending. Both are Victuuri, if it helps. Whichever is most popular, it will be written first, then I will work on chapter 15, and then I will do the other. After that, I plan to write a rairpair fic and then it'll be back to Victuuri for me! Thanks and have a great rest of your weekend everybody!!

Abstract:  To examine the potential association between vitamin D (VitD) deficiency and latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) and its effect on TB infection conversion (TBIC) incidence.We carried out a cross-sectional and prospective cohort study of nine pulmonary TB cases that occurred in 2015-2016 in five nursing homes and one mental disability institution in Castellon, Spain. QuantiFERON-TB Gold and the tuberculin skin test were used to detect LTBI and TBIC, respectively. Serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D was measured using chemiluminescence immunoassay. Poisson regression and inverse probability weighting were used for statistical analyses.The study included 448 residents, 341 staff members with 48 relatives of TB cases (participation rate 82%): of these, respectively 122 (27.2%), 37 (10.9%) and 7 (14.6%) were LTBI-positive; and respectively 22 (7.7%), 10 (3.8%) and 1 (3.7%) were TBIC-positive. Will you give a chance for newer and more unknown artists and writers to be accepted?

Hiya Anon!We absolutely want to give everyone a fair chance to be accepted, including lesser known artists and writers. But what it’s really going to come down to while judging is overall composition of the piece–art or fic, alike. For artists, it’s important that the whole piece be visually appealing or interesting, including both character design and backgrounds. If judges get submissions of just beautiful head shots or busts of a character, with nothing else to it, then it will be difficult for them to gauge whether or not the artist would be capable of drawing the rest of the character, or if they’re able to do backgrounds. As for writers, it sort of works the same way. Dialogue, description, flow–all of it is important. If someone submits pieces that focus mainly on description, then as beautiful as it may be, it will be hard for judges to decide how well the writer would be able to write the characters themselves, or if they’re able to create believable and engaging dialogue.We ask that applicants keep this in mind! Show us all of your skills, not just what you’re good at. We certainly want to welcome lesser known folks so please apply even if you think you may not get chosen because you are relatively unknown!
